The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

“Entombment isn’t biting.†He shot back. “ and that was normal paper.â€Zelek stated in reference to suspiciously regular bandage. Like hell he was wrapping something around his head that she might be able to control. He rolled his eye and propelled the bandage back toward her., she needed it just as much as he did. If not more, the paper didn’t look like it was doing all that much good. He looked to the whip in her hand and summoned a long copper spear. But the tool and its potential purpose were too completely different things, he chose copper because there was always an ample source around in New York, where there was electric there was wire, and where there was wire, there was copper.
“I have been following you, but not because anything I remembered I’m afraid, merely because I liked the way the moonlight lit up your throat framed by that fiery red hair of yours, what’s a starving man to do? it was coincidence that the red haired girl happened to be you.†He believed that for the most part, but was it some subconscious part of his mind that recognized her and claimed her as his in the only way he claimed anything anymore.
He eyed the blood as it flowed into the tube, subconsciously licking his lips. “Oh? And what has made you so tired today, if not this little display of ability?†did he care or was he only enjoying the view of the woman covered in abrasions?
He apparently could have attacked and drained her at any time…what did she think he had just attempted? She was big game, next time he wouldn’t make the mistake of toying with her, if he attempted it again at all, or if he waited for a next time.
He looked at her and dissipated the spear, he could summon it again if he changed his mind back. He pointed to the vial. “ I don’t want that. If you know I can take you on a whim, then let me take the blood directly instead, I won’t take more than you were prepared to offer anyhow, more than you are already loosing. More than I need.†His finger rose to point at her shoulder. There is a cut there that would do well enough I think.â€
He would wait to see what she made of that. Allow him to take her blood, submit to his dark need and not have to worry about the chase and hunt, no worry of defense. How much trust had their previous romance afforded him? even though he had obviously changed immensely.

She didn't expect those to actually hit...A slow growl emitted from his throat...he did say he could heal, so why expect her to hold back.
Zelek twisted as the granite exploded outward, "You, could have asked all of those things while the granite was still around your ankles." as he spoke, the granite that lay about the immediate area attempted to buy an and every bit of paper he could see threw the eye he had to work with. he didn't want any other interruptions, He hadn't decided she was off the menu just yet....perhaps a different tack. spider can weave a web just as easy as a wolf can hunt.
A spike of granite shot out of the ground and impelled the roll of bandages, he couldn't risk a roll of receipt paper at the moment and quite frankly he wasn't going to chance anything with this gal either. He considered sending another towards Kitra.
He flung the handful of blood onto the ground and replaced his hand over his eye once more. "Spare me the tired and hurting bit, you stabbed my eye and I. You... We've met before and had this discussion once. its been years. You and I were enthralled with each other in a past life." He was less than amiable to the discussion, she smelled delicious and he wasn't sure if he could take her blood even if he wanted to at the moment. She had a damnable surival instinct, he would just have to a more subtle technique.
Zelek slammed his back into and against the granite that was behind him as the whip struck clean through his stone. he disintegrated the stone behind him even as it was too late the paper blades were making contact with his eyes even as he fell backwards. a shriek of pain and fury leaped from into the air. He rolled back, he could still see through his left eye, merely a scratch, it must have been the side that dodged first, his right eye burned, up until he pulled the bloody origami dagger out.
He crawled forward and the granite no longer climbed around her but simply entombed her, beyond the shapely statue that formed close to her body another layer worked its way around it and then again after that. He would suffocate the vile woman and then he would have her blood, he would drink every ounce. He would stay for hours and make it permanent if he had to and return tomorrow.
His palm held fast over his right eye as he stood. It would heal...paper wasn't wood itself after all...it might take longer than normal however. He stood staring at the stone hill through one blurred eye, the other bleeding down his arm. his head was an explosion of pain.
His eye widend as her bag exploded, he expected begging not a counted defense. A threat even. delicious.
Zelek's smile dropped from his face. "I heal my dear. Tell me do you heal too?" In the time it took him to state the sentence his flesh was coated in a thin but solid layer of stone. if it was anything but paper or wood he would have let the woman slash him to ribbons, true horror set in when they realized he didn't die. As he defense was in place, His pretty new statue was becoming more stone and less flesh. Her form was exquisite and being entombed as they went, His own body was a statue across from her, he left no cracks in his armor except for a slit across his mouth and two holes where wicked eyes looked out. Stone was simultaneously reaching from his statue to swallow the origami knives.
The granite was raising almost past her waist. He could have simply sealed her away immediately, but where was the fun in that.
"You aren't taking advantage of the time you have to speak, merely sealing your fate.and I am afraid that paper does not in fact beat rock. " Oh she would be fun to drink, he imagined momentarily the idea of leaving a slot big enough near her throat to sink his teeth in.
Zeleks head moved with the slap, he licked at the corner of his mouth and smiled a small bead of his own blood rest there, she had caught him just at the corner of his mouth with a bracelet, his cheek flared momentarily bright red before everything went back to his paler than white flesh tone. his head hung there for a moment silvery white hair hanging there. He looked at her feet as she spoke, no biting....No Biting....How dare she! Granite sprung from the concrete and sealed her questing and curious foot to the ground and the block behind her and then her other for good measure.
"Lets not get ahead of our selves. Your request of not biting has been noted. But let's let this talk be the deciding factor of if or when I bite and how hard, and to what end."
The stone that had enveloped her feet, was ever so slowly climbing up her ankle and would proceed to her calves.
The surprised gasp, classic. He couldn’t ask for more than that could he? Maybe a pint or two? The way she breathed in her shock at the situation lit his features with pleasure. Up until the moment She questioned his name.
“Have I been back so long the streets already whisper my name?” He took a step forward as she took a step back, the dance was beginning. He raised a block of granite behind her, if she proceeded backwards she would fall back into a seated position or if unlucky trip over the large cube all together.
He opened his mouth to reply that he had no idea what she was talking about or who she was, when she said it for him. He tilted his head quizzically at the woman before him. He invaded her personal space. “I’d be willing to get to know you.” His hand reached up to her neck, the back of his fingers lightly caressing the side of her neck.
Zelek wore a long black coat, that contrasted his almost translucently pale skin perfectly, his white button up shirt was perfectly pressed and his tie hung loosened around his neck, his exquisite shoes made the slightest sound upon every footfall, not nearly enough noise to gain the attention of the distracted woman in front of him.
As he salivated at the thought of sprinting, tackling and bleeding her dry he turned his head and imagined he could hear the heart beat of the doomed damsel in front of him. a matter of time, a matter of fate, her blood and his lips, it would be a pleasure to see complete.
There was something about the girl in front of him that rang familiar to him, more than familiar even. Long red hair, fantastic physique...perhaps he only wanted to know her. Or perhaps it was the way that she looked lost in a terrible and dangerous world and hadn't noticed him once, and he had been following her for more than an hour. The more she walked the easier it might be to get her to run out of breath when the time came to make her flee from him....
That was if he could remove this nagging feeling that he somehow knew this girl as more than lunch. What was it about the red head ahead of him that niggled at his attention. She was lunch, not an acquaintance he decided as she moved into an even worse part of town....it got no worse or easier than a part of town he called the gallows. for its old world architecture and not a denizen anywhere that didn't deserve to hang.
"I'm sorry Miss, you've wondered too far from home." A slight Russian accent tinged his speech, a long forgotten remnant of a life past.
"Ah. Too bad." Zelek let his own Russian accent thicken in answer to hearing some of the older tongues on the man across from him. His frivolity shown through much more in the sigh on his breath and the slump in his shoulder he had so hoped to find a kindred soul that did so enjoy a good kill.
His gaze peered at the three eyed man in front of him not shocked so much as interested, And wondered which of the three looked through the scope to watch the man die. He then wondered if the thought would have crossed his mind at all if he only had the usual two. not likely.
Zelek looked over his shoulder as the pedestal that he had raised from his surroundings slowly found its way home. A bicycle cop had found his way to the scene and was for the most part attempting to keep anyone from the immediate scene. He stood and paced away from the ledge that would immediately give away the vantage that the shooter had taken his shot from.
"I had hoped it was pleasure, such a precise and beautiful shot to be wasted on anything but art." Don't let me keep you, We can walk and talk if you like, if you are concerned with being caught red handed." the statement made due to the way he seemed to remind himself that he was carrying the rifle on his shoulder as they spoke. or perhaps that was a subtle reminder that he still had his arms with him. and likely more in his pocket.
Zelek subconsciously readied his imagination to call upon protection from his surroundings.or perhaps a hefty spike in his, the best offense is a good defense and what not. He made his way in the direction Martin was already heading. "Shall we?"
Care for running into a bloodthirsty Vampire? He tends to prefer young women for feeding, might be fun to have Rebecca, teach him why thats not always a good idea.
Though I am open to any and all other interactions as well, Zelek isn't always hunting sometimes he is just out and about.
Zelek stopped in his tracks as a red mist filled the air in front of him. His stomach growled and for a moment he almost lunged down and feasted on the now very dead man before him, Zelek Smiled and turned from the crowd every one else was all awe and bewilderment. He was amusement and curiosity. the angle the bullet bit into the man's head, and the subsequent initial explosion of carrion debris meant the shooter was up high. likely across and yes a form was up there looking down. Zelek Jaywalked quickly across the road though traffic was doomed on this particular street. He would normally seek out an alley to do what he was about to but, there was no need just now everyone was here to see the macabre sight before them, never mind the man manipulating the minerals around him to create a makeshift elevator.
Zelek placed his back to the wall and summoned layer after layer of mineral under his feet in a small square, as he got further from the sidewalk the material changed to that which was contained in the brick. As he felt the wall leave from behind his back, he leaned into and sat on the ledge. spinning and kicking his feet over as he spied the shooter making his wat away. Oh good, he already put away his firearm, it wouldn't due to have to heal from a sniper shot from this distance no.
"Excuse me, Sniper. But, may I ask, was that work or pleasure?" He grinned and remembered to wipe the red from his face, Sliding his palm across and licking his fingers clean. He toyed with the idea for a moment of taking the shooter for his meal. but then he was a dangerous gun toting manic, might be best to leave him running about the city making messes.
Zelek exited the airplane at JFK with a smile, New York City, The place was a buffet, too many people in one place meant that once could hunt endlessly and not make a dent, maybe even go unnoticed for quite some time, until people started making connections, deducing patterns, taking notes and chasing your trail. But then he had an edge, no one could get rid of a body like he could. It was nothing like the small towns he had found throughout Europe on remote hillsides. He would stay in a youth hostel, and slowly pick away at the small population until the dwindling population would come to the conclusion that it could only be that strange young man that was new to town. But by then it was too late, He would take care of the rest of the miniscule population and bled them dry, leaving a mess for the next interloper to find.
He hailed a cab after the slow disgusting process of picking up baggage and putting up with airport security until he could exit and free himself, it wasn’t so bad moving from nationally, but internationally was a thorough pain. He had to buy a visa, a fake passport set up a whole new background for him. None of it would matter after he had somewhere to call home, but for now it would serve him. Tonight however, he was only looking to find a hotel, and something light to eat. A yellow van beat out a green and white cab for his business. The early bird got the worm and all that.
“ I’d like to go to a hotel near central park, anything that you think might have an open room will do.” The Cab driver nodded and they were off.
