The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Zelek looked to the woman and had a very unnatural the urge to tell the absolute and utter truth, something was very very wrong, but only if he could get over those red lips, the look of utter primal hatred, and that gothic baby doll tee, he wanted to tell her everything. Only if he had more to say.
After a deep breath and a sigh, He admitted.“Syn, I had nothing to do with torturing you. I had nothing to do with the men torturing you, I’ve never met any of the three you named. Nor contacted them through any third party. All that said, If you need to release some of that fury on me anyway. I’m your man.†He then winked. In a much less antagonizing way. Or so he thought. He dropped the copper from the scene and put out his palms out and upward inviting her in, He almost wanted to savior what would soon be excruciating pain. His eyes were no longer for the large red men around him or the weapons he was considering using at his disposal, he didn’t even mind being the prey this once. He took a calm step toward her. satisfied that she would take his word for she was to lovely to be mistrusting even with that saw in hand.
Somewhere a voice in his head was crying out at what he was doing, his instincts screaming in some dark dank dungeon that everything was wrong. His eyes looked deeply into hers and he offered a half smile to her, standing in front of her like a willing sacrifice on a red and black alter. yet another voice sang, If he could get close enough while she hurt him maybe he could bite that neck of hers after all.
--- Mercury held out an arm and steadied the little mislead red head. His tail scooped her up and lifted her out of harm’s way balancing her on his back in case she passed completely out.
The dog had stopped to run in an 'a' pattern, it was smart to warn them of the troubles to come, it gave them an Idea that it might not be some easy to trounce enemy but a band of scantily clad heartless vixens. They made way forward and Zelek sped the group forward on the rolling wave of granules lifting and falling, lifting and falling. He smiled as he spied the red sheets of paper. He might not have realized it was a danger except for the dogs warning. It was the tell tale work of the queen B of the hive of buzzing women that called themselves amazons.
"Origami, incoming. Eruption, leave it to me; if we deal with one here we might need you to settle more there. You guys, go on ahead, the farm isn’t too far now, we can’t all get stopped here." he shouted it as they closed in on the sheets of red paper. What a terrible world when you had to watch out for paper on the ground, one might scoff at such a thing the first time you came across it, but paper cuts sucked. And in the current age of crap medicine, infection was a quiet killer as anything else in the world.
The disk collapsed onto the ground and let a spray of Granite and other natural stone fly out in tiny spine like tendrils in an unnatural wave towards the papers. He hopped to spike as many of the papers as he could, and keep them under control, so that his comrades could move forward, he’d catch up as soon as he had this dealt with. it of course wouldn't stop the hundreds of sheets still whirling around like a dust devil. But it would likely strike a solid first blow.
“Tell your maker, I’ll see her soon.” Zelek quipped at the papers, sometime ago he realized insulting her in front of the paper got more of their attention. “Has she thought over the offer to be my bed slave?” Yeah, that ought to get its attention.
"Kitra speaks truth. I don't hire others to do my dirty work, I've been framed. Worse, who ever did this to you is still pulling your strings. if you manage to do them the favor of taking me out. I don't know a Morpheus, a cross or a knuckles and if you heard them speaking on the phone, you heard them call someone else my name." He was feeling emboldended by her hesitation and cornered by the giants, they didn't realize that putting three of them on three sides and her on the fourth, it made her the exit point if he got the chance.
His dark eyes flitted back and forth. 'I promise you, if I had you at my mercy, it wouldn't have been years. I would have bled you dry the first day I could have. You are too delectable by far to stave off any hesitation. oh no, i would have bit that fine pale neck and drank like a man in the dessert." He leaned toward Syn while staring at her neck, nearly unable to control himself.
A bright red tail swung inches in front of his face with enough force to push him back
" Look, I hope stabbing me several dozen times helped you let go of some stress, I'll even let you do it again if you like." He winked. " But I didn't and I would love to find out who did, and introduce them to that knife of yours. I don't take being framed lightly."
Jupiter was now audibly Growling. Abyss sneered and glanced back and forth from Zelek to Syn she only need nod at him and he would pop this full right off of his disc and rip him to pieces, literally.
Mercury leaned back to hear the Secret Kitra had to tell. "Syn said she killed his people, who says he was going to let her leave? She beat him to the punch.' Mercury argued to argue. He didn't care either way, this looked like a fun game to him. Her breathe on him tickled.
Zelek's calm question was answered by a boot to the head, his temple to be precise. He rolled to his side and again groaned, that wasn't nice, not at all. His head began to pound and would until his body got caught up to his head. He pushed himself to his elbows as the woman raged to a cart and got a saw.
He brought himself to a crouch before she closed on him with a saw designed to amputate. why they would need that in a building where they had a staff of doctors including healers, he didn't know.
"I would remember torturing you. Don't get me wrong, you're my type and all, but I've never had the pleasure of your acquaintance." He raised his hands and copper colored cords hung from his fingers, the cords ran from his hands into the walls, the next person who touched him would not enjoy what came next.
His eyes shot to the women, he was not pleased to see the expression on her face, determination, murder, hunger. as if her actions hadn't been clue enough, she wasn't likely to be reasoned with.It was interesting to be the prey. he had a pretty good Idea of what it might be like to be bitten to death as he felt the blade slice through him over and over. an experience he wouldn't give back, but one he wouldn't willingly repeat. The copper cords from his fingers and melted and expanded into a large but thin copper disc on the floor around him. He was lucky to have been close enough to an outlet to make this plan work.
"If you could find the patience, I wouldn't mind a moment to see if I have done something to truly deserve this, at least something to you." a wicked smile painted his face. Oh deserved this, but from some dead girls father, or some dead man's wife. Kitra was the first bit of prey he had let escape in quite sometime, and he still hadn't decided if it was delaying the inevitable, or if he found a pretty little toy. It didn't look like her connection to the sanctuary and order was going to work in his favor however.
Zelek sat Kitra down gently and waited for the medical staff to get ready to take care of each wound he let the copper pieces dissolve into thin air from the biggest wounds to the smallest. They were going to work quickly.
Everything was going so well until.
“YOU!!!”
A wild looking goth girl screamed in a tone that almost made him Jump, He would have remembered biting this one, he wouldn’t have been able to resist. And he doubted he would have let her survive it just for the fact, she was such luscious prey. He had only another split second to think that he must have hurt someone she loved.
Before she was tackling him to the ground in a fury. His hand went to push her away but he only survived to lift her up and give her more room to plunge a knife deep in his side.
The Medical staff moved Kitra’s stretcher away from the immediate area and didn’t dare intervene a moment more.
His eyes went wide as the tip of the blade pierced his side and slid home, the point of the blade striking home and meeting his lung, blood almost immediately chocking him with a pump full of what should have been air, pain , Pain, glorious pain! His vision blurred as she settled into a comfortable position and raised the blade up only to send it plummeting down on him once more.
Again and again and again. She was still giving him fresh wounds even as his lung was righting its self. He gasped for breath as the blade sank in and out of him. He was on fire anywhere she struck. Blood spilled from him like water from a strainer, His body involuntarily shook, yes his body recovered from wounds quickly, but lots of wounds in quick succession meant the pain lingered long enough that he couldn’t simply smile and bare through it. Hell, he couldn’t even breath through it.
She finally stopped stabbing him only to start stomping and kicking. he lay there without response, unconsciousness eluding him. His healing was becoming a prison he wouldn’t die, he couldn’t. She rained down agony on him with ease. If only he took the time to stop it before it started opposed to smiling at her like she didn’t have death in her eyes and a knife in her hand. His body kept him alive and aware through all of the aches, anguish and suffering.
The blood that encircled him was starting to make her position precariously slippery, Finally the last of the stab wounds healed and all he had to deal with was the bludgeoning damage of her angry boot. He didn’t show a sign of life just yet, he could savor the ache of her kicks and stomps, they were friendly compared to her blade wielding wraith. The bloody mess she made of him didn’t reenter his body, his body set to producing more. He was suddenly very glad to notice that her drive was slowing, the deadly wounds were healed.
His eyes snapped to her wild green iris’s. “ Have we met?” he half spoke half groaned. He would ready himself for the knife in particular, he might very well let her keep kicking him, if it helped to settle the issue at hand.
Zelek Cackled. at the soft chiding on dying lips, he wondered if he would have gotten off so lightly if she had any strength to her.
The beat up black Cadillac had more cylinders than anything he had managed to drive in Europe, but then he didn't mind silly things like lanes or speed limits one way signs. no. He drove from point a to be with a single minded purpose. He left the car idling at the curb and imagine there was a thieves version of a valet survive at the sanctuary.
He spoke to a pair of young mean that were obviously mutants, "Its stolen, but its yours if you are interested. We are done with it." The two thugs grinned and moved quickly to the car taking stock quickly opening the trunk and looking over the electronics with in.
He stepped into the Lobby to find a Secretary looking quite alarmed at their entrance, but in their state, why wouldn't they?
Lisa looked to Kitra and then back to Zelek, he caught recognition in her eyes for the briefest of moments and then she went into a calm, a deadly calm, a I'm weaving a web or snake about to strike calm. She thought she knew who she was dealing with but to make absolutely sure. A purple haired mansion student turned Kabal minion and Hunter's child, gone rogue..."I am going to need you to sign in, obviously your hands are full, so if you would give me your name, I'll gladly take care of the rest."
He raised an eyebrow. and spoke softly "Zelek."
Then the woman politely said, "Take her to the infirmary." And spouted off the most direct route.
"Yes, Yes, I intend on ensuring you live, Ms. meal ticket."Zelek chuckled back to the dying woman in his arms as he walked her to the infirmary, his first act of kindness in years was to have a sour reward.
Lisa watched the cameras as the young white haired man made his way to the infirmary and picked up the phone to Notify Syn of who just walked in off the street. the secretary listened to the phone ring. If she didn't answer she would have to call her brother's to ensure he didn't get away.
“alas, I don’t recall.” A wicked smile seemed to rest on his features. He often wondered if he wanted this memories back, would it change him?
Zelek brought his mouth away from her shoulder and lifted a piece of paper from her bag and set it on her shoulder. She would have to take it from there as far as bandages went. She spoke and he listened appalled at the request. Let her live…she was fainting in his arms and she suggested saving her to feed on another day. Take her to her home presumably and allow her to live. As the paper placed on her shoulder simply reddened, he realized he could apply that same trick with sturdier stuff. He placed copper patches all over the woman, and held them tight to her skin, unless her blood was going to start cutting through metal she wouldn’t loose any more… Irony…hadn’t he set out to bleed the woman dry?
He lifted the semi conscious woman to his chest and stepped into the street. A black car came screeching to a halt just before it collided with them.
The man in the drivers seat started to get out of the car, but the blood smudged around his pale chin, the destruction in the immediate area and the mostly unconscious woman in his arm made him hesitate as he accessed the situation.
Zelek spoke in a chilling tone, just quiet enough to make the man lean forward to concentrate on insuring he heard the creepy youth. “I need a ride, you can drive me, or I can drive me, but either way, that car is the one taking us there.”
The man cocked his head back and looked as if he might say something he would regret. So Zelek beat him to the punch. A spike of granite impaled the man and then let the spike sink back into the ground, the curse was still on his face. Zelek smiled as he made the man into a temporary speed bump. It would delay any police calls for a few moments any how.
He unlocked the car and sat Kitra in the passenger seat, buckled her in and shut the door. Why wasn’t he dining on her? Was it the fond look in her eyes that amused him. was it the fact that she was the only link he had to his past? Was it simply fun?
He stepped into the driver’s seat and sped toward the Sanctuary.
An annoyed glare was shot at her for the comment of his perception being off. “I suppose if it is something you love and you get lost in it, then it is different and something you and I can relate to. Have you heard of the sculptor Borova? He gets lost in his work too. He made impossibly lifelike sculptures from natural stone. Zelek removed his hand from his eye and reached toward her hand that held the paper stake, the weapon was not lost on him and the warning of making him hurt worse was amusing and likely to be deliciously painful. But if his teeth sunk in, she could do whatever she wanted so long as her blood was still going into his mouth. He gently closed the remaining gap between them. An intimate warmth and metaphorically electricity seemed to pass between them. Whispering into her shoulder, sure he was giving her everything she wanted from him with an unfortunate dark twist. He was in it for the blood.
“ Now, why would I ever bite whats already bleeding?” his mouth moved toward her shoulder even as a sharp blade of diamond cut the cloth away from her shoulder, if the blouse was ruined, it wasn’t his concern, she had paper to wear after all.
Gently and nothing like the ravenous beast he normally was he lapped and sucked at the shoulder wound…it was almost tender, almost erotic and a mix of painful and pleasant. Every now and then he would find a girl lost in the romance misplaced on the idea of vampires. He credited his charismatic father and assumedly the wooing of Anne Rice at some point in his life. Otherwise he thought that Bram Stoker had it right. But then he couldn’t deny that he sometimes allowed a layer of fine crystalline dust to catch light on his skin when hunting and preying lazily on those that worshipped the works of Mrs. Stephanie Meyer. He for the record had nothing to do with the inception of a seventeen year old sexy vampire…but then it was so fitting.
His mouth treated her shoulder as a playground and it frolicked about, all the while he encouraged her blood to pour from her. but just as he wanted to treat her more as lunch and less like a damphyr. His mouth raised from her shoulder, a harsh breath escaping his lips. A pleading tone is his voice. Both eyes open and healthy staring at pale blood stained flesh. “ Is this when I should stop?”
~~~"This is cloth, I can't control cloth." “So you say.”
~~~"That's whats been making me tired. I haven't had sleep in the last two days because of been working on projects those clients are after
The vampire leaned down and reeled a bit as he did so from his lack depth perception. “ So you have been losing sleep for money…from humans?” the disbelief and the disgust framed around the word humans hung in the air for a moment.
The slightest step forward. “I could make it so you never had to stay up late again, rain diamonds into those pale, soft and unjustly calloused hands. He’d spotted the rough spot where pen or pencil had slaved over the sketch pad. He inched closer the…the spider to the fly.
To sample this blood that Hunter had torn him away from… would he be able to stop himself? Would he want to another step would tell him. Diamonds began to fall like tiny drops of rain from just above Kitra towards her hands a distraction…perhaps a deadly one?
Mercury looked to Markus and grinned putting his hand above the pot. “Five Aces.” He tossed to down five ace of diamonds…he had found a magic deck of 52 matching aces so he had 47 more where that came from.
A collective groan resounded from the others. Jupiter shook his head. “Four eights and another ace…”
Zelek filed his nails carefully keeping himself clean, he had grown accustom to the lack of blood taking within the walls, there was that foxy little gargoyle that he wanted to get to know, he had to keep his mild mannered appearances up for her after all, she was about the only viable option for him as far as doting went, and the bi weekly trips to the pit sated him enough to stay sane, besides there was always the errant fool that decided to attack the city. Those that didn't realize that haven was under coalition protection were fool hardy at best.
Hell their rep kept the farms outside of town safe. He had built a huge circular wall around the town, an hour at a time he summoned anything and everything he could to build up a mighty wall around the town, pretty soon he was going to start working on making a glass like dome over the top, but that would take time and some engineering feats from whichever one of these red guys was Mars, his guess would be the book reader there.
He looked out the window and noticed one of those demon hounds that kid had following him around all the time. Except the kid wasn’t around and neither was the other bigger dog. It was just going insane barking and going wild, something was definitely wrong.
“Hey boys, we might want to wrap this up, I’ve got a feeling trouble is brewing.” Zelek slid his gas mask on carefully avoiding his twelve inch red liberty spikes and let the copper nail file dissolve into thin air. He went out the door and formed a large disc of available quickly available minerals, once the other’s stepped on the disk he would form foot holds onto it so the wave like motion this travel caused didn’t dislodge its riders.
“Tinaker. Lead the way!” once the hound set forth the disk was lifted on perpetual wave of mineral grains flowing steadily beneath the disk pushing them forward at a rate that nearly kept up with the dog.
I updated the Abyssi relationships accordingly, let me know when and if we can get a chance to bring it Ic.
Kat, that all sounds like fun and makes me imagine the kidnapping thread went well between Joce and Aby
Sky, Amber and any of the Abyssi would be creepy as they have a family relationship already. Skydancer would be a good catch for any of them and promise to make oddly colored babies. but I am just throwing it out there.
Liz,shockwave the potential for joining any group you like is still up in the air, or you could spend the plot trying to find your niche. I don't think any group would turn you guys away, though boys have to stay outside of the bone fortress if joining the amazons.
Zelek nodded, and continued forward with the android like sniper, perhaps he allowed himself some detachment from himself and the situation to cope, or maybe he was just an odd one, surely having three eyes changed the way you perceived things. regardless, he took his intrusion to a lovely kill in stride and so things were going amiably enough.
The vampire continued forward and led the way, though he knew not where they were going. “ Ah, I see, I thought the splash was artful, the shot was certainly masterful, I did get a first person view after all.” He shook his head slightly, “ No, but I couldn’t pass up the chance to communicate with a fellow killer. I tend to stick to shadows and lone targets that stray, it uncomplicated things in the long run. It was refreshing to see such a bold statement. Anywhere, anytime, death is among us the hole in his head seemed to say.”
He walked forward without a care in the world always overconfident in his abilities and his ability to get out of any situation he could get into. Had he bitten off more than he could chew? He thought not as he would be able to hear any weapon that might be loaded behind his back, more importantly he doubted the fine fellow had any stakes on him.
