The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

"Either or, with what I have in mind, I could just as easily make it seem that a couple of crooks broke into the B.E.P. instead of a group of highly skilled Mutants. Of course I'd just need you all to make sure that anyone that sees you, is killed, I'll handle any recordings." Replying to the struggle between those who were for and against asking the path of stealth, Markus quickly ran the possibilities of making such a change to his plan that would benefit them if they took that road. To him, he was hoping that this would turn out to be a long term relationship now that he found out that this place held more than what he expected. Markus thought this now deserved a larger investment than originally intended as well.
"It all depends on if it will provide for us more than what a simple unmasked attack would. As long as my identity stays a secret I am fine with what ever you all have in mind." Markus now hunched and threaded his hands into each other as he positioned his elbows on each leg.
So the Knight took the Queen and the Bishop took the Rook. Svetlana being the Queen and Kaitlyn the Rook due to Markus's own way of ranking the threats based on the knowledge already gathered. He knew little of the Amazons, but gained basic knowledge of them, their names, and a small understanding of their capabilities. Now following up Abyss's improvised blitzkrieg to his intended plan, Markus readied himself for any possible oncoming scenario once more. Now it was clear there was no hope for diplomacy and he would have to hold out until victory was assured. However, Markus still wouldn't deny any of the remaining opposition the chance for peace.
"Leave now and we will not pursue you or the food!" Markus shouted as he followed the assault that now raged on. As Gina led some of the Abyssi and the others following some what of his attack pattern Markus was ready for anything and drew his Rhino Revolver.
It was time for some old fashion diplomacy, as the threat from the Amazon reached Markus's ears he fabricated a lie to go along with the logic he would present to them. "You do that and you loose this hot spot for your little raids! Not to mention you risk setting off the ordnance laid around the farm and risking blow back! Maybe you'd like to work out a deal perhaps?!" His shouts retorted to the Amazons, the lie of course being the ordnance, he made it vague as to not slip into any details that they might latch onto and find out the truth.
"If they do as I think they will, cover my back." Markus spoke gazing from his directed shout to his Red friend to his side. "If they try anything, remember the plan." Saying this Markus then turned his head back to the Amazon's direction "No hostility! Only reasoning if your up for it!" He hoped for the best.
White noise filled the space that Markus seemed to fill now. Void and darkness consumed him, adrift in a mental plane that could not be touched or altered. But soon he began to jolt back into his body, his senses slowly melding into his mind's protective subconscious. He awoke, in a bed, bandaged on his right arm and some what on his shoulders. The air pressure from the blast had knocked Markus unconscious and left him to wake up where he was now, safe back in the town. "You awake Markus?" The voice from one of his men was odd to him at first, but soon began to take in the possibilities of what happened after the blast.
"We're lucky to have you Markus, if it wasn't for your quick actions once Eight showed up, we would have been shot up." Interjecting quickly, Markus looked at the man with a blank face and asked, "Eurydice is dead isn't she?" The man only lowered his head. "Leave, please." The man nodded to the command, leaving Markus in the bed bandaged and with his thoughts. Markus never showed any true affection towards Eurydice, but only came to know her undoubted devotion to him in her last seconds of sacrifice. He felt that he had been walking through life as a husk of his own intentions, and in reality he was.
This would be to him as a life lesson, to wise up from now on and take a larger responsibility and interest in all who helped him, and all who he helped. He fully understood his limitations now, and wished to conceal them, or at least get rid of them.
"Thanks for the assistance Eight, but now all is well, time to go home." Markus spoke as he kicked the man with the M16 in the back of his leg pushing him to the ground and pulling the gun from his grip. "Sorry Markus, but I spent far too much time on this bomb to just make it out to be a dud!" This sudden act of insanity stood far out unlike all others to Markus. He basically just told Markus he was going to kill everyone. "What?" Markus spoke in disbelief in a harshly loud tone.
"He's going to kill us all! Run!" The men who had brought them to this spot had broken into a chaotic blitz for safety, Markus shouted to his men to get behind the gas station as fast as possible as he helped Eurydice up, but she was still in binds. "That's all folks!" Eight spoke as he rose his hand with the detonator into the sky. Markus knew he would not survive this, but just as it was about to go off Eurydice had voluntarily pushed herself over Markus to protect him from the blast. All's he heard was click, and then it was like waiting for a glass cup to fall to the ground.
Now moving swiftly and silently as possible through the hotel room, he began to take in the decor. Admiring it he spotted two large double doors. Bingo.. Markus's mind knew it had to be the bedroom. Upon further investigation he crept towards it and twisted the door handle gently and looked in through crack between the two doors. One sleeping body by what Markus made out, it had to be her of course, Markus wouldn't second guess himself on this matter. If it wasn't her he would just kindly ask where she was.
Backing away from the door now Markus slowly walked over to the dining room area and grabbed a chair hoisting it high up as to not make any noise by dragging it. Open the door now all the way quickly to not hinder it and make any noises either, Markus carefully moved in and placed the chair forward and parallel with bed. He then shut one of the double doors and sat down on the chair to face the sleeping Goddess. He then turned up the volume on the speaker for his voice changer and began to speak. "Let's talk." His low voice boomed through the silence of the dark lit room and awaited reaction from the Woman.
Markus held his hand over his brow to guard them from the sun and guide his gaze to concentrate on the figures ahead. "It looks like there may be a few of them, but let's not take any chances." Markus spoke as he removed his hand from his brow and knelt down into a fresh patch of malleable dirt. He began to sketch a battle plan with his leathered finger into the ground. "Alright, we've protected the Town and these farms together for awhile now, and I need you all to trust me with this right now." Markus spoke as he quickly finished up a rough draft of what he was planing.
"Alright let's assume there's at least five or more of them. Abyss, you and Jorge will go for a straight on blitz, Jorge will serpentine a bit to confuse them, and once you are close enough unleash Aedus for a little extra surprise. Gina, you will lead a little air support with one group of the Three Abyssi that will be broken into two groups for a pincer movement. Three will strafe off to the left led by Gina, and the other three to the right and curve back up to close off the Amazons flanks. I will cross strafe with Abyss and cover the rear. As soon as you get the chance, lay these people out like dough in a Pizza Shop. If you get bogged down take cover in one of the barns and wait for back up, hopefully either my Centurions will arrive soon, or Zelek will catch them by surprise soon, all in all good luck." All this and I still don't need to use my main power, better save it for a bigger purpose. Markus thought as he began to gaze over the three others and began to track them with his power.
"Don't move!" The man with the M16 shouted at the cart toting maniac who now drew a sort of trigger device from his vest and removed the tarp from the cart. It was what appeared to be an extremely big bomb. One in the cart, and one that now was quite apparently made out of the mad mans vest. Ammonia, fertilizer and an assortment of other ballistic scraps and shrapnel all meshed together into a wild card much like their wielder. This was bad, Markus did not know what Eight's play was, but took this distraction to reach for his revolver and get an upper hand. He quickly moved form his down position and in his recovery he stood close behind the man with the M16 now with his rhino revolver to his head.
The others on his side quickly reacted moving for Eurydice. "Touch her and his head is out of here like baseball on a Saturday night!" They moved back, but the man with the M16 took charge soon. "If you don't stop this guy he is going to blow us all up!" He turned his head slightly to face Markus still stuck in his stance afraid to move. "I'll handle it, you don't move!" Markus replied quickly as he would then take a glance at Eight and begin negotiating.
This night was set all up like a well played move on a chessboard. Four pieces running interference, while Markus went for the goal. Two positioned in the parking lot. There they started a fire and other crimes that would look like vandalism, while the other two reported them to the Hotel receptionist hoping to gain a their attention to the problem while they made their way to the basement and attempt to short out the power for awhile. But not before slipping Markus the master key card to the Hotel, then the plan was set. He knew where to go with it, his target, and was ready. The things he wore would brand him a criminal the second anyone saw him, lucky for him it was quite late, and no one was in the halls at all, not even the maids or janitors due to the little distraction outside. His all black apparel added to the night like atmosphere, that and his intentions.
To further avoid any unwanted attention, Markus took to the elevator when he got the chance. A few moments of silence and the well built metallic box planted him at the threshold of his target. Markus had heard much about this woman from her career, but what interested him, was her appeal to a nation. Something like that would be useful to a man of his political needs, so this is where had planted himself to fulfill those political needs. "All's good down here, nobody in the office reception area." One of his men chimed on a small radio on his vest. Now was the time Markus thought best to turn on his voice changer, after doing so he spoke back to his man.
"Good, maintain radio silence, and knock out the electricity for further confusion, lock up the main doors, and erase any camera footage if you find the recordings. Most importantly, get out when you can." Markus's now super low voice was now sounding through the small speaker in a pocket on his vest, keeping any trace of his true identity secret. He then slipped the key card that he held tightly in his leather gloved hands, into the door's mechanism to open it. He slipped in quickly and shut the door quietly and quick, to not let a single inch of light in any longer. Now came the time to confront this woman with an idea, hopefully he could work through his appearance, being dressed in all black military clothing, wearing a black metal mask, and the only skin being exposed was that of his arms.
I'm in, I'm sure Markus would take the food seeing as he wants to provide and help the Town, but also be suspicious of the Horseman. Also Conquest was one of the original Four Horseman Really.
Once they landed Markus looked around to take in his surroundings. In his view, Abyss met his gaze which he returned with a subtle nod to assure his well being to Abyss. The Apocalypse had freed up Markus's time, allowing him not only to build a small militia force and secure the safety of a town, but also work on his own involvement in battles, something that Markus rarely did when everything was still normal. After Abyss's quick words with Zelek, he quickly shrugged off his leather duster and pulled from it's pockets a metal mask and gloves which he promptly began to put on while running after Abyss. "After your done here Zelek, flank around, we'll try to surprise these Feminists." Markus spoke after Abyss had finished his sentence directed at Zelek.
Tailing Abyss a bit far back and still putting one of his black leather gloves on, Markus heard the sound of a gun fire. His concern for Abyss was little, he had seen what that man could handle and more of what he could destroy. Once the farmers disappeared from sight Markus chuckled to himself knowing what fate had in store for them and approached the shouting devil who would be joined with another being of demon qualities. "The Red Menace and the Terror of the Skies, and more to come! This is going to be a walk in the park." Markus remarked to his fellow defenders, energetic and somewhat eager as he stood on the other side of Abyss.
The black metal mask he wore covered his entire head, but only showed his eyes somewhat and masked his voice a bit with the interference, but he could be heard well by all. His weapons were clearly seen, a Rhino Revolver, and an exceedingly large combat knife. It was finally time to fight, and Markus was more than ready.
Would it be alright by all, if Markus was one of the main Orchestrators of the Hunt? Once things go down hill for the rich there and everyone else, he will start killing off everyone else in the command and viewing area and funneling what money he can to his own hands and make it look like he was being hunted as well. On a side note, this could be a big battle if the X Men show up and get the wrong impression and think the more criminalized mutants are responsible and try to get back at them.
