The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

>Ewww! He's about to lose it again.<
"This is so priceless! Come on, let's get him inside."
The red-heads strolled out of the shadows up to the door as if they lived there. They paused not far from the man.
"Hey there pal. Out here kind of late aren't ya?" Amp bent down, a look of concern pasted on her face. "Wow, you don't look so hot. We'd better get you inside. Did you lose your key?"
The pair bent down to try and help him up, which was rather awkward with him both being drunk and also much taller than they were. While Vibe tried to steady him, Amp turned to the door. She leaned over, as if unlocking the door. Instead she sent a high-powered and compact concussion blast into to the lock gears, masking the faint explosion from listening ears. She pushed open the door, and moved to help her sister.
"So, can you remember where your room friend? We'll help you get there."
>Of course we will.< Vibe's mental tone completely contrasted the concern look plastered to her face.
The man groaned, and the girls decided it might be better just to deposit him in a corner somewhere. Most likely he'd be out for a long while anyway, long enough for them to have there own 'tour'. So they found the living room, and left him on one of the couches, then went to explore elsewhere.
(OOC: Terr, if you need me to change this later, just let me know. I just needed to free up an RP slot. Hope to see ya soon. Fade, continued in The Cousin Connection)

>Ugh! Nasty!<
"What crawled inside him and died?"
>If he lives here, who knows?<
They watched as he stood and again headed, shakily, for the Mansion. The girls paused for a moment.
"Should we follow him? Or shake him up some more?"
Vibe shook her head, making a disgusted face. She had pulled her shirt over her nose to mask the smell blowing in their direction. >Nah, let's see where he goes. Maybe we can get inside, and check the place out. Maybe do a bit of side-shopping.<
The grounds were massive, and the girls were fairly sure they couldn't get across without being seen. But that didn't worry them. Instead they settled for not being heard, via the sound masking, and strolled after the guy as if they belonged there, still being careful to stay behind him. If worst came to worst, they could sprint up to him and claim to any snoopers that they were simply escorting a friend home. In the man's stupor, they doubted he would know the difference.
"He is so wasted," Amp said aloud, the sound masking keeping him from hearing her. "He looks like he's about to heave."
Vibe grinned slyly. >Shall we help him along a bit?<
"Ooooh! Let's!
Still in the shadows of the wall, Amp place a hand on the ground. She gathered her sisters vibration and, carefully, sent them through the ground. She put just enough force into them to shake the ground beneath the man's feet, but not to cause a major quake; just enough really to throw the already teetering man completely off-balance.
>So this is the place? Think its big enough?< Vibe scoffed. Amp grunted quietly, totally agreeing.
The sisters were parked in one of the large trees overlooking the Xavier Mansion grounds, surveying the property. They had snooped around until learning exactly where the place was. Part of their reasoning was curiosity; Zelek had mentioned this.... school.... was where he lived, along with other mutants, and they were kind of hoping to see him again. Of course, the other, and main, part was to see what kind of entertainment they could find; at least, their brand of entertainment. The night was a perfect time for them to do some unobserved observing.
Or so they thought. They heard the person crashing through the trees long before they saw him. He looked pretty rough, and smelled even worse.
>Oooh, gross! What's he been drinking??<
Amp pulled her shirt up over her nose. She began to emit a masking frequency, to hide their presence from the man's ears. They watched curiously as walked past the gates. Quickly, and still masking the sounds of their movements, the red-headed pair made their way back to the ground, and followed him onto the grounds, keeping to the shadows and out of sight. Vibe shook her head when he threw away the ring.
>Now that's just rude. He could have hawked that.<
"His loss, or gain. We'll grab it later." Ever curious, they wanted to see what he was up to. Plus drunks usually made very interesting 'toys'.
Mainly because the Camps are not the entire Plotline. Simply a part of it. And six months seems just about right, really, for the amount of members we have.
And Calley, that would be so perfect. lol While he's at it, you think we could get access to the nation's treasury? *smiles innocently*

No offense Cass, but you've only been back for a couple of weeks. The plot has only been going for three OOC months, which really isn't bad, considering its a board-wide post that involves at least 40 active to semi-active members.
Mini raids sound fine, for those in the camps that want to rp with it, though I would suggest finding out who would want to before the actual posting. It would improve efficency.

Sorry Librarian, I guess I just don't agree. *sigh* Forgive me for saying so, but I just think it's too early to 'wrap things up'. Move ahead, yes. Finish? No. *shrug*

Yes, that's true. But 'porting in and out' seems to be a simplification of things. It's more than just human guards and normal robots to be dealt with. It's supposed to be hard. A rapid-fire posting kind of makes it hard to be descriptive.
Also, I thought it was agreed that even after the Camps are destroyed, the Stalkers would make a final raid. Is that idea still agree on?

While I'm all for moving things along, I'm not so sure I agree with this much moving, since it cuts down on rping oppotunities for many people.
In the case of CoH and Registration Bill, Hunter and I are handling that one, working through PMs so we can post efficiently.
In the case of the Resistence, a free for all posting will most likely just add to the confusion, not help it.
Also, when we first were talking of this Plot in planning stages, I was under the impression it was to be a way for Xmen, Order and Kabal to work together. I'd like to see that happen along the way, instead of one particular group going all out.
Also, there hasn't been much Stalker activity, or taking them into account, at least not that I've seen. Which is kind of a shame, considering they are not NPCs, but an actual character.

Welcome back. *is soooooo jealous. *
Okay, my turn again. (Are we competing? 'cause I'm not competitive. Really! I'm not! What? You don't believe me? (j/k )
I'll be gone from Aug 10 (Possibly 9th) through the 12th (Possibly the 13th) without net access. So permission granted in KP and Return Home threads to god mod Iris, Amp and Vibe (within reason of course) 'till I get back.

Archiving sounds like a good idea. Also, locking old/ancient threads, so new ones can't accidently try and revive them, without realizing they are dead threads.
You know, I could almost swear I've read that in a book somewhere, too.... *draws a blank*
lol Just musing, but I find it almost ironic that, via Registration, the government is bent on separating mutants from society, and then here we turn around and do it willingly. Why didn't they just ask and bribe in the first place? lol
So, how well know will this community be? Everyone, human and mutant alike, knows about it? If yes, then any hostile activity will be traced back, right? Just for reality (sort of) sake, that would create major conflict between mutant and human, wouldn't it?
Also, would this be an anarchaic (sp?) society, where anything goes? Or will there be a mutant police force of sorts?
Just a few odds-and-ends questions to think about.
