The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

*tricity came downstairs from her office to get a late night dinner after doing a crapload of paperwork at her office. when she came downstairs and neared the kitchen, tricity heard the voices of orion and chaos. she stopped and listened for a moment and then took a deep breath.* ugh...whatever... *she entered the kitched and ignored them both, going into the refridgerator to get coldcuts.*
"It's an amazing mutation, Raina... seriously. That was remarkable," Tricity said, patting the young woman on her shoulder. "I'd love to hear more about this tribe you belonged to some time. It sounds fascinating." She crossed her legs taking a deep breath. Her head was hurting a bit and if she didn't relax, no doubt the mansion's electricity would be going out of whack. "Do you have any questions or concerns regarding your stay here? You're always welcome to my office if you have a problem. Well, should really call it my bedroom with an office in it. I'm not sure if you know, but I just had a baby some few days ago, so I may be a bit busy with him. If I'm not available, you can see my colleague Daria. She's got a black cat appearance... Shouldn't be too hard to miss her," she said with a wink and smile. "So yea, any questions?"
Tricity pushed open the door and gave a smile to everyone, immediately noticing the new girl as Johnathon described. "Hiya. My name is Tricity or Miss Tipper if ya like. You're Raina right? Welcome to the mansion." She took a seat in one of the standard loveseats that was in every dormitory. She then looked back over to Raina. "Would you mind explaining your mutation to me?" She looked around the room and then turned back to the guest. "Perhaps we need privacy to talk about it?"
Tricity walked along the hall and checked to make sure this was the right place. Johnathon had informed her new mutants were roaming around that was possible candidates by the looks of the suitcases and bags he saw on the security cameras. She knocked on the door and could hear a few voices inside. "Hey, guys, it's Tricity. May I come in?"
Tricity gave a slight laugh. "Well, I don't know what you would consider a super mutant, but we have some of the most powerful mutants in the world in this mansion. But we don't really exclude anyone from the X-Men because some powers can be very useful, like say... you for example. The power of persuasion is a very amazing thing! Say we had a captee... Your mutantion is so perfect for a such a thing, get me?" she explained, using a lot of hand motions as always. It was the Italian in her. "So, we never really exclude anyone. We just like to get to know people as best we can before bringing them into the good fight."
Tricity laughed a bit as most people were shocked to find her in such a high position. "Well, thank you. I am 25 years young and I might be glowing still because I just had a baby a few days ago," she said with a wide smile. "I am very much a mutant. I have the ability to control electricity. Any type of electronic really... And recently, I've learned I can control lightning, but I'm usually knocked unconscious after the fact."
She leaned back and the chair and began her telling of the past days. "When I first learned about my mutation, my father didn't take it very well and I started falling into the wrong crowd. Luckily a man named Charles Xavier, a very powerful mutant, offered me a chance to go to a school very much like this one. I finished high school there, took college courses, and became part of the X-Men team there. The X-Men are a group of mutants who are fighting to keep the harmony between mutants of humans continuous. Anywho, there were so many mutants popping up at Xavier's, he needed to start a new sanctuary. Charles gave me the wonderful position of being the Headmistress here because he knew how much I wanted to help other mutants."
Tricity was listening to the woman's mutation with fascination. 'That.. is.. so AWESOME!' she thought, totally wanting to hear the various stories the woman must have had using her powers. When the guest questioned who she was, she immediately felt embarassed. "OH! I'm so sorry! Where are my manners? I'm Tricity or Delilah if ya like. I'm the Headmistress here," she introduced. "Your mutation is great!" she said beaming. "God, if every woman had that power, things would be a lot different in this world. Of course you should try and learn more about it! We have a simulated room to practice your mutation with some willing subjects. I'm sure you won't have a problem finding any," she said with a wink.
Tricity smiled and felt herself smile from the compliment. "Thank you." She took the offer from the woman and sat down in the desk chair. "It is a bit overwhelming, I know. Don't worry though, everything will fall into place. It's nice to see someone who is around my age coming for a stay," she said with a slight laugh. "I have to ask you a couple standard questions that all new residents are asked. SO, first.. Can you explain your mutation to me as best you can? And, secondly, let me know if it is at all dangerous to yourself or anyone else."
*Tricity and Crystal stopped in front of Kaine's door.* crystal: "I felt the hurtful aura coming from his room...it's really black, Ms. Tipper. That's why I wanted to find you." *She nodded to the girl and hoped Whitmore hadn't gotten the red stone and activated the green one in Kaine's body. Tricity pushed Crystal aside as she looked through his bedroom door which stood ajar. After knocking three times, she called out to him.* "Kaine?? Kaine, are you alright??" *Tricity peeked through the door, but saw no one. She pushed the door open slowly and then saw Kaine lying in his bed.* "Kaine? Kaine!" *She walked over to the bed and turned his head toward hers, so she could look him over better. His skin was burning hot and the color in his face was drained, making him look ghostly.* "Oh shit...CRYSTAL!!" *The girl came rushing into the room and grabbed her head in pain as her mutation was very empathetic to others emotions. Since Kaine was in pain, Crystal too was. Tricity grabbed the girl's wrist who looked like she might pass out.* "Crystal, go upstairs and tell the Docprof we're coming up, ok? Be strong. GO!" *She stumbled out of the room and Tricity heard her footsteps quickening to the infirmary. Tricity began to concentrate in hopes of connecting with Cass.* 'Mike, get upstairs. I need your help. I'm in Atticus Kaine's room. He's passed out...' *For the first time Tricity grabbed the bottle from the bed and saw the pills spilled on the floor.*
*Tric looked back at Cass quickly sending him a thought.* "I'll be alright. Try and see if there's any information in the Hummer while we go upstairs to meet with the Doc." *They quickly ran upstairs and into the Doc Prof's office.*
*Tricity sighed and walked over to Kaine.* "Let's take you up to the Doc Prof's office. Maybe he can see what happened when they implanted the gem in your arm since his gift of sight revolves around medical things. Come on..."
*Tricity looked over at Cassiel and mentally began to speak to him.* "Try and see if he's geniune in what he's saying, Cass. Maybe you'll even be able to see some of the things he saw." *She smiled and nodded at Kaine, to calm him a bit, though she was still worried.* "Ok, Kaine. I believe you...I know about the red stone too."
"Whitmore..." *She began, swallowing hard and backing up into the wall.* "He has a green stone he's implanting in mutants and is using it to control them and their powers. He's put a piece of it in your arm. You're...you're under his control some how. Don't you remember anything?"
*She moved away from the bed and him and outstretched her arm, taking a surge from the socket in the wall. Tricity began backing away from him slowly.* "You have a piece of the green stone in your arm..." *She didn't know what to do. Was he faking now to infiltrate the mansion?*
