The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Does anyone know if this will take place before the hunting game mini plot. I've got Teddy volunteered for both kidnappings but I was thinking it might be easier if they rolled together and Teddy went straight to the hunting game plot

It's an interesting thought at least. Some of the older x-men, Streak and CS mainly, would know about the order because of their past interactions.
Ironically not to long ago I was just thinking that it sure has been a while since we've had a good old fashioned site brawl. I'll definitely be following this it has merit.

Streak took the folder that Cafas handed him. As he flipped through it he started listening to what the situation was. It didn't take to long to get his attention. Models, disappearances, possible mutant activity? Oh and beaches? What could be better? This simply had to be the best mission he'd probably ever get sent on.
As Cafas replayed the news broadcast he only half listened. As the news reporter talked he flipped through the folders trying to absorb as much information as possible before he made his final decision. Streak knew that because he was the senior X-men it was going to be his call on whether they went or not. Shawn kept his mouth closed as the other two talked. It was hard to tell if this was really a problem that needed mutant intervention or if Cafas was just trying to use this as an excuse to meet models and spend some time on the beach getting a tan. Streak closed his folder and looked at both of them in turn. "Well..." He paused, evilly savoring the fact that they were both waiting for his approval. Finally he spoke.
"I have to agree. There definitely seems like this modeling agency is searching out these models and once they use them once or twice they dispose of them. Since the cops are saying its a weak connection to this agency and they've dismissed it I think it's a good idea if we check it out." The silvermancer then set his folder down on the desk nearest him and said, "Ok boys looks like its a hard knock life for us for a while. Get your stuff packed and we'll leave tonight. We don't want the trail going cold do we?" This last part was said with a smile. Even he couldn't resist the opportunity to spend some time at the beach and some clubs hanging out with gorgeous women. "I don't think I have to say this but if we're going undercover leave your uniforms and any badges behind. We don't want anything that will send a warning to the people were tracking." Streak stood up. He didn't call the meeting but since they were deferring the decision to him he supposed this meeting was over. Streak stood up and got ready to leave the room and pack his stuff.
(OOC: If you want I think we can hand wave the packing and flight and start it up in LA)

Streak didn't really care if Ami didn't have much experience with this sorry of thing. She was here do he was going to use her. He'd make sure she didn't get into too much trouble but the fact that she came along at all meant that he didn't have to worry to much about her.
The X-man was glad for the information that Kealey told him but he'd figure something out later if there was a problem. Streak took Ami with him and they started moving people in the rescuers direction. Hopefully they'd have a way out when the people got to them. Streak knew that a gaggle of people would be a bigger target than just a small group.
As soon as the silvermancer was away from the security room he reformed his staff and went on the defensive. "Come on everyone out!" Streak shouted over the yelling of panicked workers. "Go that way." He signaled to his left.
Just as he was finished pointing he was knocked sideways by a desk. "Oomf!" he got up and started swinging his staff at the desk, as he tried to keep it from running him over again. "Ami, go help someone." That was pretty much the extent of what he could say at the moment. The desk kept trying to charge him like a rhino. The voice of the man from Dodgeball came into his head. If you can dodge a desk you can dodge a ball The absurdity of the truth of that quote was unbelievable. He tried not to laugh as he jumped out of the was of another attack.

Streak hadn't been to busy the past couple of days. It probably had something to do with the weather. He happened to be training in the danger room. Just something basic, nothing crazy he still had things to do today. Mostly paperwork for new students and he was still answering questions about that building incident not to long ago.
He was taking a little breather and getting a sip of water when his X-comm went off. It was Cafas calling him. "I'll be right there." He was off. He close out the program and left the danger room. A couple of secret passages, that he and Sam had built a few years back, and he was walking through the door that was Cafas' office.
Streak sat in a chair that was pretty close by. He wasn't sure if Cafas could actually call a mission but Streak would take the heat if anything came of it. Just the fact that he was along meant that he could lend legitimacy to what Cafas was doing. "So what's going on? Please tell me it's more eventful than this weather." Streak waited Cafas to start his explanation.

“Copy that! We came in past the evac team! We are just past the lobby and security room. Be careful, they were not kidding about this place! Keep this position! Kealey is on her way and she may know how to find this gu—OOMPH!!†Streak heard Jorge start talking and relaying their position to Kealey over the communicators. That was until he was cut off by something. Streak didn't have time to look and see what it was but he was pretty sure that Jorge could take care of himself. He was a cop after all.
Luckily the chair stayed down after he stabbed it. Aside from the big hole that was now in it, it only looked like a lifeless chair. Streak was glad of the people that were on his team.He hadn't actually worked with Kealey before but he knew what she could do and he was glad that she had joined them. It was going to be a difficult task even with her, but it'd be even harder without her help. She brought someone that he didn't know, but she quickly introduced her self as Ami. Streak took a glance at her... Then he did a double take. He certainly didn't recognize her. Was she even part of the team? She didn't look to sure of what she should do.
Streak moved back to where the others were, his silver spear pulled back into his body. Once they were all together he said, "Ok..." He glanced to the side. "Is that a filing cabinet? Never mind. Jorge check the cameras, see if you can find him. Me and Ami...Amelia right? we'll keep people safe and Kealey you can help Jorge. Once you find him, hopefully before the power goes out, we'll all move. Questions?" He hoped no one had any questions. There were plenty of people still that were getting attacked by furniture and they needed help before they could get rescued by the recovery team. They needed to move fast. The clock was ticking.
Streak and his small team followed Cafas' destruction team into the building. As he entered the place he covered himself in his silver and readied for an attack of furniture. They were immediately met with people trying to rush out of the building. He just pointed to the now open glass that they'd entered through and the group blew past them. Their entrance didn't last long. Only about forty people were able to exit before the glass was fixed and there was no exit for the people anymore.
Streak spoke into his communicator, "Looks like we're going to need to find this person or we wont be able to get out." He then turned to his other teammates, gathered them around him and said, "Whoever is doing this now knows that we're here. They won't make finding them easy. There's a reason this person is here and we don't know how they're doing this we need to get to them as fast as possible. Stay close and keep your eyes open for anything coming at us. The harder it is to go somewhere the better chance it is that we're getting closer to this person."
With that he proceeded to lead his team through the mass of people that were cowering behind their cubicles, doorways, and pretty much anything they could to make sure that they weren't going to get attacked by the building. "Stay close and search every room. This person could be anywhere." Streak said to his people. No sooner had he said it than he was attacked by a chair. The normally comfy rolling chair freed its arms from the seat, legs extended and charged. The four legs worked like a mix between a crab and a spider's legs. But those weren't the problem. The real problem were the arms.
The arms flailed about trying to hit anything that came within reach. Unfortunately Streak was the closest thing. He quickly formed a spear out of his silver as it charged. The second his spear was fully formed the chair started to swing at him with its arms. The silver X-men blocked and countered hitting the back of it with the butt of his spear. "Spread out! Start clearing the building!" Streak said to his team while he dealt with the chair. It only took another couple of counters before his spear was impaled in the back rest of the chair. The demon chair was pinned to the ground and when Streak pulled his spear out the chair lay motionless. Streak just stepped over it and continued on his way looking around the first floor. Though he seriously doubted that the person they were looking for would be on this floor.

Streak was in the follow car. He was actually driving the follow car, to be precise. Cafas was definitely a good driver... crazy, but good. He was having a little trouble keeping up, especially when a car jumped in between them. Apparently the whole lights and sirens thing was lost on this random driver. Fortunately, as soon as the driver saw the lights behind him he moved back out of the way and Streak caught up to the lead car. He was actually glad that the police had been the first ones there because they were able to make a path for the X-men to cut through to get to the building...correction skyscraper. This thing was huge. It was at least twenty-five stories, probably more, and made of a lot of metal and glass. From the street people could be seen freaking out inside and he was just hoping that none tried to jump. They didn't exactly have anything to catch them with.
The X-men piled out of the cars sand Mirror started giving directions. He was a little glad that he was in charge because Streak was just impressed at the sheer magnitude of power it must have took to mobilize the building. Streak immediately volunteered, "I'll take three others with me to find the mutant." He only really needed to get inside. He was going to leave the demolishing to other people. He was pretty good at finding things and he was going to take only a couple that could be spared. Most would be needed to get the building full of people emptied.
Streak followed Cafas and his little demolishing team into the building. They made quite the hole. The silvermancer silently hoped that the metal manipulator that was with them was going to be able to contain some of the buildings metals. Streak and his team were inside and the fun had started. His communicator was on and he was ready for action.
(OOC: Continued here If you want to help looking for the mutant responsible I'll take you. Jorge may want to come with Streak to make the official arrest. *forgot handcuffs )

Streak was just stepping out of his room to get a bite to eat from the mansion when he heard it. His had been silent for quite some time now and he actually ahd to think for a second before he realized whate exactly was making that noise. Streak dashed back inside his room and grabbed his communicator. He listened closely as Gwain's voice came over the coms and spoke about mission in the city.
He was on it. In seconds he'd forgotten that he was hungry and was heading out the door, wearing his xmen uniform, and heading towards front where he saw two cars parked. Streak looked quite fitting in his uniform. He'd had it made a long time ago but it still fit and he still liked it. Most of the ime he didn't get to wear it. It was black leather with silver outlining the seams and a raised collar that had two silver X's on either side. There were already quite a few people there when he showed up and the only thing he could think of was, Man this has got to be serious if there are this many people here.
Usually the missions he went on were with small groups of maybe five max, but this one had more than that and even had a few that he didn't recognize. He probably should have but it wasn't like they had weekly clubhouse meetings or anything like that. Streak walked up and said to Mirror, "If everyone's here...Lets roll." He wasn't used to taking this many people but it could work especially if it was a big of a deal as it sounded. He only hoped that Gwain would fill him in on any details that he'd missed on his communicator.

Streak was going to reply to the comment on their names but there wasn't time. They were soon whisked away back outside to meet the king. The duke had changed clothes too and was looking very ceremonial as they were led back down the stairs and out into the courtyard. When they showed up the king was talking. Even though they weren't from this time Streak still knew that it wasn't good for their health if they decided to interrupt the king while he was talking. It seemed the rest of the group knew the same thing and both Jorge and Paul stayed quiet until the duke addressed the king.
He wasn't looking forward to talking to the king. Shawn spied Lumen in the group with the king and it only made sense considering the background that the Maester had given her. The whole crowd seemed to hold its breath as the king spoke about their fortune with his son healing from the Flux, whatever that was. It left Streak wondering if they were talking about the Bubonic Plague. Maybe that was what they called it because they didn't really have a name for it, like modern science did at least. Sooner than he would have liked the duke spoke up.
"My Liege,I bring before you three strangers that have come to our land. Sir Shawn of Beetlejuice and Sir Jorge of Hogwarts along with their companion and confessor, Friar Paul. They were set upon by bandits outside the city but have now come to pay homage to the ruler of this land!" The crowds parted and left them with a direct line of sight to the king. They now had the entire kingdoms full attention. So much for not being noticed. Shawn thought as the duke continued his introduction of their presence in the kingdom. Then it clicked. Streak gave Jorge a funny look and mouthed 'pay homage?' He didn't remember mentioning anything about that. He thought he would have remembered seeing as how he'd made up this lie and not the duke.
Things just got a little more interesting in Shawn's opinion. Shawn took a step forward and bowed low. He wasn't really sure what else there was to do. He'd never met a king before and he didn't really know the appropriate customs for greeting one. Was he supposed to kneel or was a bow good enough? He supposed he'd find out fairly quickly if he did something wrong. He heard Paul mutter something about a game and Streak rolled his eyes. He took the opportunity to speak first. "Your majesty." He said this loud enough that the entire crowd could hear him. Best not have to repeat himself it seemed. "The Duke is correct. We have traveled far and wish to thank you for allowing us safe passage into this marvelous kingdom that you have created. Our kingdoms send their regards and hearing that your son has recovered from the Flux give hope for our kingdoms that we shall be as fortunate as y'all.." Streak paused as his accent slipped a little.
Hopefully it wasn't that noticeable. So he continued before it became to noticeable and people started to wonder what they'd heard. "As your kingdom has been on avoiding the Flux." Streak still didn't know what this Flux was but it sounded bad enough to want to avoid it. Shawn finished his speech with another bow and waited for Jorge to say something. Maybe this was going to be a good thing, but it was very nerve wracking.
