The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Aedus nodded and nodded some more. “I’m sure the little vibration things in my controller have nothing on the recoil of that hand cannon and I look forward to anything you want to teach me.” When in doubt agree with the woman. Yes, mam saved infinite amounts of time. It didn’t hurt when you could say it and mean it, particularly when said woman would know immediately if you didn’t.
“I’ll try not to have fun shooting it?”It was half a question, he really didn’t know if he was supposed to take this more seriously or not. He could see it being deadly serious in the wrong situation, but on a gun range with a more than capable coach over his shoulder, why wouldn’t he have fun blasting some paper people?
He tried not to appreciate her hand on his as he was still extremely confused on how to feel about not liking, liking him. It made sense in a Noel sort of way. It was part of why he liked and was attracted to her in the first place. Gah! Friend, she is my friend until she says otherwise. He turned to Say that he just had to get changed really quick. And she was pushing her sleeves up and washing the dishes…Why did seeing her in such a domestic situation drive him crazy. This was going to be hard. And what was he going to say if and when she read these thoughts…Damn!
“Yeah, just give me a moment.” A couple minutes later he was next to her drying the dishes as she washed.
Aedus looked to the red that was throwing around off the cuff compliments and felt like he should say something like ‘I saw her first’ or back off. But instantly realized how that might sound to the lady behind him.
“good to know, just a bit out of sorts about whats going on here exactly, “ He then turned to the one that was less concerned about Skydancer and more concerned about location. “Address your questions to Doorman over there. He’s the one that said our presence was requested.” His lava form was cooling at an accelerated rate thanks to the cool breeze and his glowing presence was cooling into slick black surface.
Venus stepped aside of the burning oaf and smiled at the young woman. “ so, I take it you’re a new Yorker?”
Doorman nodded to the five large red men and the lava shifter that was paying attention, its true our chief wanted to extend an invitation out to you and yours and make you aware of this Mutant paradise.” He swiped the purple girls naming of the place . “ as far as where you are, we are on a small island near the Galapagos. We live and thrive here in the closest thing to a utopia this world has ever achieved. Think about a place untouched by humans, now we do have a few adapteds here, but they aren’t aggressive in their nature, they work as medics and mediators when a mutation becomes troublesome for the mutant, some have issues that are easier to deal with when reduced to a human state, and are happy to mediate when there is a potentially disastrous conflict between neighbors. If any of the Adapteds make you uncomfortable when in their range, all you have to do is make them aware and they will do their best to keep out of your comfort zone. All of that said, I believe the old man has hopes of some or all of you moving here.” Mercury in the time the others had the relatively short conversation had managed to begin a massive sand castle. He would not be showing up to the meeting, but was the first to be convinced that the Island was better than the city.
Aedus skidded to a halt as the echo hit his ears. " Dance, hang on, something crazy is going on." The irish man then jogged over to the alleyway that the ruckus had come from and peered down. "holy crap, there are red giants down there!" His eyes went wide at the sight below of three rather large tailed men. he was pretty sure they had just smashed someone with a dumpster.
He looked over to his purple acquaintance, "Wanna check it out?"
“I know right!” Aedus exclaimed and then called over his shoulder. “You do this to be discrete?”
“I hate to be modest but yeah, its awesome!” He panted as he sprinted to keep up with Sky dancer, she easily over took his lead and would be out free running him with ease soon enough.
“Nice to meet you Sky Dancer.” He said to her graceful form as it surpassed him. He leapt and made the next jump fine. It was almost as if they were in some surreal dream version of two kids running through a field of tall grass. He shook his head, he didn’t have the luxury of errant thoughts at this height.
The pair continued to hop from roof to roof as far as the skyscape would allow.
“Yeah, I’ve always thought it’d be fun to get a group together to do this sort of thing.” He wondered if that would be plausible or just draw unwanted attention. He envisioned a nypd helicopter following a large group bounding from building to building.
“I would do it right here but we would fall through the roof.” Aedus turned the charm back up. “ Thanks, I like your skin, hmm, its odd to say, nice skin, but seriously. I love the purple.”
He grinned, “Lets talk more, when we can’t run anymore. I’m Aedus by the way.” Aedus backed up a few paces and then took off at a run winking just before he passed Sky, he leapt into the air and sailed to the next building turning and jogging in place to see if she would keep up.
I like it and could see the potential, I wouldn't mind seeing it happen in the MROverse, but if nothing else we could play it out in the fan fiction area no approval needed.
Aedus grabbed Skydancer’s hand with his left and her forearm with his right, until she had recovered her full balance, it wasn’t a split second, that it took the gymnast to adjust to the surprise. He let go and took a step back after she was settled as to not worry her further.
He flashed a smile that a few women had told him was heartbreaking, he had it down pat. “ sorry I didn’t mean to startle you, and once I did, well it’s a dangerous place to have any surprising you. Again my apologies.” He reeled in his smile a bit.
“ I couldn’t resist saying hi to a fellow free runner, not too many of us play up so high. Though I can tell you are better equipped to it than I am.” His hand tentatively reached for hers, if accepted he would look curiously, with only interest apparent, to get a better look at her tubes.
He caught him self staring and again had to apologize. “ Sorry I am being rude, I forget at times that the only mutation on me showing are my eyes and in this light you might not notice them.” It wasn’t true, his eyes were orange and seemed to want to glow as if there was a heat behind them. “ I could show you if you were really curious about my other form, though you’d have to wait for me to transform.” He hadn’t intended to offer, but he thought this might be the easiest way to apologize for what essentially equated to gawking.
Aedus wore a pair of Running shorts, socks and grip shoes. He was currently sprinting like a mad man across rooftops. He wouldn't have attempted this particular brand of free running before but now he was capable of saving himself if he fell. He already enjoyed the closer to the ground version. but there was something exhilarating about leaping off of one roof to slam into the side of a fire escape or onto a lower roof.
Out of his perephial he caught sight of someone else making use of the roof ways with much more grace than he was and so he veered after her. He needed more friends that liked to do stupidly crazy stuff, and he needed to know more blondes that were purple.
Aedus leapt another rooftop landing with a skid on the roof, send a flock of pigeons willing in the air, he cringed for a moment sure he would feel the revenge of dirty white bird paste. A moment later he was thankful he didn't. He picked up the pace once more, reaching his top sprint before he closed on the young woman before him. His leaped sent him sailing through the air, he pulled his legs up as he cleared the railing of a fire escape and slammed into the ladder going up. He kept moving and soon found himself on the same roof as the young woman, that he know knew was definitely purple.
* Both AOS and the current timeline run parallel to each other.* so if it is three months, say June-August. The current timeline runs unaffected, normal timeline doesn't get any special tags, its just a normal day. your characters know what they know right now. But on the morning of September 1st everyone has the option of remembering whatever they want to from the FP. Think Dorthy post OZ. "and you were there, and you were there." from there it is like remembering an actual dream, sometimes you wake convinced you could tell the tale line for line, sometimes you go."Was I in a boat?huh...."
In other words the AOS wont effect the current timeline until it is over.
"Good to Know, Kitra" He imagined however if he burst into lava in front of her, he might get more than a quirked brow. It sounded like he had been able to lift her spirits a bit. He took the opportunity of her shot at the trash can, to chug some more water, It was obvious that he had been putting his body through its paces. He watched as some of her legs disappeared once more behind the veil of her skirt.
"I'm Aedus Teague. A pleasure to meet you." He wondered momentarily if he was making the right choice, should he even be here flirting with the woman? He didn't see why not. 'So Kitra what brings you to the park today?" He was too nosy for his own good, if she told him her troubles he'd want to fix them.
Crap! Aedus caught site of a clock in a store behind Kitra and glanced at his watch. He hopped up from the bench. "Listen,I know this is crazy, but here's my number. call me." He finished off his water and then pulled off the wrapper, he tore off the sticker part and jotted down his number, "I just realized i barely have time to Run home, get clean and to work." He was like a whirlwind all of a sudden. He began to jog before she could even really decide on how to react. "Seriously, give me a call." He then turned and sprinted down the road, he hadn't worked at Faust pharmaceuticals so long that he could get away with making his own hours.
"I'm sorry to hear that." She could deal out more details if she liked, he wouldn't pry unless invited. all and all she seemed disappointed with something but recovering well enough. The smile that came to the corners of her mouth was appreciated. She checked him out a bit too, He recognized the look possibly because he was typically the one doing it. He had already stolen his glances while she wasn't looking.
"Ah, they are natural, Used to be dark green, but I've recently gone through some changes. No need to be afraid though, I'm mostly tame." he winked as he said it, you never could tell how people were going to react to finding out a mutant was chatting with him, he guessed she would be fine, as she asked some calmly.
Aedus was confused beyond confusing. He wanted to wait on Noel, she was Innocent and great to be around, he found her attractive, intelligent, he was legitimately impressed with her, but she kind of, sort of liked him and admittedly didn't want to. what did you do with that, wait and nurture that like into hopefully more or respect that and back off. Be less likeable? Should he stop flirting with other women in the meantime, or should he simply be himself until she figured out what she wanted. That sounded the most likely. He liked her, he liked her more than he probably should at this point of their, not relationship.
He grabbed a bottle of water and continued to jog down the road and came to the decision to be himself. She stated she didn't want him, so why couldn't he be himself. He couldn't cheat on someone who refused to have a relationship with him.
As that thought drifted out of his head another drifted in.
Leggy, pouty red head sitting on a bench. He slowed down and sat down on the bench near by. He set his unopened water between them and leaned over to check his laces. Sweat ran down his shoulder as he had just completed his fifth mile of the day. His maroon tank top clung to him.
He opened his water bottle and looked over to the woman, after taking a couple thirsty gulps, he reaccessed what he had thought to be a pout and realized there was more frustration than pout.
"Is everything okay?" He asked in a concerned tone.
