The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Tasean's eyes took on a distant cast as he thought about the reasons that brought him to New York. "While I wish I could say that I came to the city to take up the cause of mutant rights and so forth, that's not true at all" he said, looking forward but remembering the past. "Both of my parents died, and I just couldn't live in that house anymore without them. Too many memories in those walls. My parents had never been to New York, they were true blue southerners to the core, so I decided to come up here. No memories here." Tasean said, a forlorn and anguished edge to his voice.
He thought that moving away from home would help, but it didn't. Even though it had been over a year since he lost both parents, the ache was still there. He missed them terribly, and still hadn't really dealt with his feelings, only run away from them.
"But since I'm here, I might as well try and leave my mark somehow." he said, trying, to lighten his mood.

Tasean listened intently. His eyes widened in surprise when Jorge mentioned what unit he worked for. Tasean did not know there was a Mutant Related Crimes division, but he filed that information away for further research later.
"Let's go up to my office and discuss this further shall we?" Tasean asked as he moved towards the elevator in the building. When the doors to the elevator opened he held the door for Jorge before entering himself. He inserted his I.D. badge into a slot, and then punched in a series of numbers on a keypad before selecting his floor. These were just two of the many added security measures by the buildings owner. No one could get to the Agency's floor with a badge and the code, which changed weekly.
"So we've got a little bit of a ride up to my floor, though the elevator won't stop for anyone else until we are off," another level of added security, "so you want to tell me a little more about the case, and what I can help you with?" Tasean asked.
This would officially be his first case since opening the Agency. Sure he had helped a couple of mutants here and there, but this was the first time that the police had come to him for help. This is what Tasean lived for, helping others, now specifically helping mutants, was the core of his being. Whatever it would take to help Jorge in any way with this case, Tasean would make sure it got done.

Tasean nodded. "Tomorrow will do just nicely" he admitted. The sooner he got to meet this girl the better. It would also give him a chance to see it she knew the severity of what Andrew had done for her, and if she appreciated it. Tasean was not about to have someone running around recklessly who Andrew had promised to help protect.
"What time should I arrive then?" he asked. He was quite sure that his doctors wouldn't be recommended too much strenuous activity, if he had actually been back to the hospital after the initial visit. Besides, he didn't really have to do too much, he just wanted a chance to analyze the girl, and then make plans accordingly. He also would like another opportunity to look around the Mansion, and possibly meet some new people. Andrew's offer to help with the Agency was great, but Tasean would still need more help if he ever wanted to really make an impact.

Tasean was leaning on the security guards desk, discussing the extra security measures there were supposed to be in place when he heard his name. He turned around to see a gentlemen, with some papers in his hand, talking to some random individual. Tasean pushed himself off of the counter and made his way quickly over to the man who was asking about him. The last thing he wanted to happen was a potential new client, or investor getting cussed out for asking about the mutant in the building. Things had calmed down considerably since the mob attack, but there was still a palpable level of hostility brimming. Many of the people who worked for the various businesses in the building were not happy with having their working lives interrupted by the fiasco, and more than most blamed Tasean and his agency.
"I'm Tasean Walker" he said as he reached the man a genuine smile on his face. The guy didn't look like he was homeless, or being abused or mistreated because he was a mutant. He didn't look uneducated or malnutrition, so maybe he was someone who wanted to help the Agency. There were few enough of them as it was, so Tasean was all set to butter the man up to get his help. "How can I help you?"

Tasean gave Andrew a wicked grin. "Who says I won't hurt you for starring?" he thought to himself. "Not a punch in the face, but definitely some pain is always involved and heightens the experience. There is a reason the French call it la petite mort."
"So when is the next time you expect to meet your little sparring partner?" Tasean asked his friend out loud. He needed to change the subject, and quick because his body was beginning to show telltale signs of just how deep in the gutter his mind was going. "Perhaps I can get a session or two in with her?" he said as he leaned back in his chair once again, attempting to affect a nonchalant posture.

Tasean's laughter subsided as he gave Andrew a knowing smile.
"Yes it is too bad isn't it?"he said as he watched his red faced friend drink his coffee. "What ever shall we do?" Tasean asked, stretching languorously in his chair; his sandaled foot reaching out to brush slightly against Andrew's shin under the table before he sat upright in his chair.
Tasean began to chuckle again, this time only slightly as he cocked his head to the said, giving Andrew and inquisitive and thoughtful look. "You are full of surprises sir, very interesting surprises" he told Andrew. His body language spoke volumes too how much he was enjoying said surprises and looked forward to discovering even more.

Tasean leaned forward again, smiling at the blushing Andrew. "Is it now?" he asked enticingly. "Talking to you is always a pleasure."
Tasean began to fan himself, looking around. "Is it hot out here or is it just me?" he asked with a mischievous grin on his face. Slowly, and deliberately he lifted his polo shirt to wipe at nonexistent sweat on his brow. Because he did this, there was a brief view of his runner's abs, which he accentuated by blowing out a slow breath. He then lowered the shirt again, still grinning that same grin. "Sinfully hot my mother would say" he informed Andrew, stressing the first word.
He looked at his friend for a moment longer before beginning to laugh once again, this time leaning back in his chair as he laughed at his own joke and actions. "This is going to be a very interesting and fun summer" [/i] he thought to himself as he continued to laugh. Tasean was now quite happy that he had ran into Andrew once again, and decided he would be frequenting this particular cafe a lot more now.

Tasean rolled his eyes playfully. "We are spending to much time talking about this girl" he said, a lightness in his tone letting Andrew know he was in a playful mood. He leaned forward and then rested his chin on the back of his hand, his elbow on the table. "One would begin to think you prefer her company to mine" he said, a hurtful element entering his town, though his eyes still dance with humor. He lightly bit his lower lip and released it slowly as he looked into Andrew's eyes, a smoldering sultry look replacing the playful one for a brief moment. "That couldn't be the case could it?" he asked, the timbre in his voice causing his chest to vibrate just a little.
He smiled again before leaning back in his chair, the entire time his eyes lingered on Andrews, the jovial light returning to his eyes. Flirting was his game, and he would do it until Andrew asked him to stop. He wanted to break focus away from the promise, though it was still prominent in his thoughts. If it was causing Andrew issues, Tasean wanted to be able to get it off of his friend mind, at least for a brief moment or two.

Tasean calmed down, slightly when Andrew told him he had made the promise of his own free will. Something in the back on Tasean's mind was insisting that the girl also made his friend promise not to tell anyone that she had forced it on him. He had to meet this girl to try and get a feel for her true intentions. And if what Andrew was saying about her was true, he had another reason to see her. To see if there was anything that he could do. This is exactly what his Agency was for, to help mutants in need.
"Perhaps you could possibly arrange for her to come by the Agency's office? Maybe you don't know where she is staying but I could at least give her some numbers of some places. Nothing like a group home, but I know some people who would at least make sure she had a place to sleep at night, and enough food to eat" he told Andrew.
Tasean knew that kids forced to survive on their own rarely excepted help from other people. They viewed an already harsh world through hardened eyes, tempered by the violent and deadly life of the streets. He knew he probably couldn't get the girl to stay at the one foster home he had found that accepted mutants, but if she at least knew there was help out she might not find herself in so much trouble. And the less trouble for her, the less trouble for Andrew, at least until he could find a way to end that particular promise. He definitely wasn't going to let Andrew continue to be hurt by it, especially now that he had a serious interest in seeing just how far he could take his relationship with the man.

Tasean's already dark brown eyes turned a shade of almost coal black when he saw the mark. He knew what it meant and he know what it could cause to Andrew.
"She didn't force you to do that did she" he asked, steel and fire in his voice and eyes.
Andrew's mutation, which caused him to keep promises, or suffer physical harm for not doing so was a double edged sword, one pointed to close to Andrew's heart for Tasean's liking. Andrew had every reason to not want people to know about his ability. Tasean knew that almost every person in the world would take advantage of that., and if this girl was, Tasean would find a way to make her stop.

Tasean nodded in understanding, leaning back in his chair and pushing it back so that it was balancing on the back two legs, his own legs acting as the front two.
"Can the Agency help out with her? I mean, right now we can't do much, but I do have some resources and connections" Tasean informed his friend.
He didn't know why the girl was getting into trouble, or what particular interest she held for Andrew, but he at least wanted it to be known that he was there to help, if he could.
"I mean with that money from that one place that the pink super power Xena girl Aura gave" Tasean said, before leaning forward in the chair and letting it settle to all four again with a small thump. "By the way, you ever see that girl again?" Tasean asked, memories of the girl derailed his train of thought. He leaned back in his chair once more, looking ponderously at the rolling clouds in the sky. "I wonder what happened to her?"

Tasean looked up at Andrew for a moment before he began to laugh, a deep laugh that shook his entire body. All of the tension and embarrassment left his body as he laughed at the true, yet funny, answer given.
Slowly the laughing subsided, and Tasean whipped the tears from the corner of his yes. "Good one Kenny Ray" he said, his eyes sparkling with mirth.
Tasean began to look at Andrew in a different way. He was definitely still a friend, but there was a possibility of something more now. Andrew did not fly off the handle, or even give a moments look of disgust or disinterest. Tasean had met many men since his tenure in the Big Apple, but his fascination with them had always been purely carnal, and the flame had flickered out within a weeks time. Andrew seemed to be different, there was something oddly appealing to him. Tasean filed the feelings away, for further investigation when he was alone, but gave Andrew a toothy grin with an peculiar gleam in his eyes.
"So...how are things at the Mansion?" he asked to break the silence of his contemplation.

Tasean looked at Andrew, looks of confusion and relief warring across his features.
"You actually want to come back and help? After everything that happened?" Tasean asked unbelieving. He could not fathom someone actually being involved in a mob brawl and then voluntarily returning to the scene of the crime to help with an agency that was the cause of the initial attack; and could possibly see more in the future. There had already been more threats since the attack, and Andrew was willingly putting himself right back in the mix. Andrew was a rare breed indeed, and Tasean was counting himself lucky to call the man a friend.
"What kind of man are you and where have you been all my life" Tasean blurted before he realized it. His face, naturally a nice rich brown color turned an almost cherry apple red in embarrassment, something almost impossible for one of his complexion. He starred down at his hands, contemplating the contours or his fingers while planning how to get away from the cafe as quickly as possible.

Tasean looked just a little crestfallen as they left the library. It was quite nice and Tasean was sure he could have found some very interesting reads there. Honestly if the tour would've stopped at the library he wouldn't have been put out in the least. He wasn't interested in the manga one bit, he wanted to look at the novels. Anything with over seven hundred pages was what he wanted. Fantasy, History and Alternate history were the genre's he drooled over. He gave one last pitiful look at the library before he turned to follow Aura, and attempted to answer his two tour guides questions to the best of his abilities.
"North Carolina is great, much more rural and homey than New York. People are a lot more friendly, and not nearly as backwater as I'm sure most of you Yankees think we are" Tasean answered Lori, grinning with pride in his home state.
To Aura he added. "I've known about my abilities for sometime now, since high school, just didn't know to call myself a mutant at the time. I really just never used them all that much, nor have I met many mutants, but I'm hoping to change all that."
Tasean could definitely now see the advantages of his ability. If it hadn't have been for his powers, he would've never known that the mob had broken through security until they were at his door. He and Andrew wouldn't have been prepared, and things might have turned out with a a more dire ending.

Tasean sat back and listened to Andrew explain what happened after the mob attack. Tasean knew it had been bad, when he went back to the office after being released from the hospital the place was a total wreck. Thankfully the police had locked the office, so there wasn't anything missing or vandalized after the fact. The women of the maids service next door had bought a new security system while he was in the hospital, and also a new metal door replacing the old glass one. None of them had been willing to help Tasean clean up the mess.
"I've been doing as well as one can I suppose" Tasean answered. "The owner of the building is allowing me to stay, but moving me to a floor further up, and has given permission for me to hire my own private security."
Tasean didn't believe the man was necessarily sympathetic to the mutant cause, but enjoyed his money. Mutant money spent just as good as human money, thank the powers that be for small victories.
"I'm just ready to get back to work, and show everyone that I'm not defeated, not yet at least" he said. If another mod attack happened though, Tasean wasn't sure it he would be able to continue with his endeavor.
