The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

She led him deeper into the building, and the fact she didn't phase away told him she was at least remotely interested in keeping him around. This was a strange sort of compliment to Blue. Generally, if he wanted to be with someone, he would just find them and let things run their course. He hadn't taken much time to actively chase anyone, and enjoy the thrill of flirting, with the energy of a good back and forth banter. He was too short tempered to manage that most days, but today? She was small, she broke rules, and he was letting himself stick around for a bit.
Even a villain had a weakness, right? Maybe his was girls with the ability to break into stores.
Getting to the back area, he pulled out one of the bottles and downed it with a few gulps. His mouth had a momentary flash of orange, flames, smirking as they crawled from his mouth and disappeared again. He let the fire travel into the empty bottle, like a little tikki torch before it burnt out. "So what if I don't share the alcohol? Does that reward me with clothes, or not?" He held one up above her head, He was leaning against the counter so it was within her reach, but just high enough to mock her. He was in that dangerous zone where it was hard to tell if he was a genuine jerk, or playing with her. Maybe both? She was awful fun to mess with.
If she had taken him to some type of mutant home to get clothes, the encounter would have ended then and there. She opted for theft, however, which he approved of. ””I admit, I approve of your shopping methods. And your mutation does cause less of a stir to get what you want. I usually have to make more of a mess to get what I want, and frankly, I was feeling unmotivated today. The winter weather is a drag.” he admitted.
She held out a hand and he took it, somewhat fascinated by the more dainty nature of her fingers compared to his. When they were inside the store he smirked, and flirtatiously tried to keep hold of her wrist. ”Suppose I resist destroying anything. Would we have time for a more civil drink?” he held up the bag so it was close, the tiny bottles clinking together. He already found her weakness for alcohol, and had willingly carried to flammable liquid here to see where this could go.
Oh, and find some pants. But that was becoming less interesting to him.

Natural beauty eh? She had a silver tongue behind the venom she displayed earlier. Blue found that amusing. In fact, he was finding her somewhat amusing in general. Maybe that’s why his hand started for her shoulder before she phased out of reach.
Hmm, hard to get? Blue didn’t okay very often, but she had committed arson with him and was promising clothing. Or, promising he wouldn’t need clothing? He had t decided which way he wanted this to go.
”As amusing as it is walking around the city naked, it does tend to attract even more notice to ones crimes. Also, if you keep teasing me it makes other things less discrete.” He preferred leaving some things to the imagination when possible. Even if the fire stopped his nudity from being immediately evident, it also drew enough attention for people to look closer. ”Having pants would also keep there from being as much of me to cause fires should you try to piss me off again.” Technically he could burn through them once more, but it would stall him from flat out scorching the girl. Although, the phasing may help with that?
It took a few swings of alcohol for Blue to feel calm again. He could feel the liquid in his stomach, practically vaporizing in the heat of his body. He appreciated the warmth it brought, a literal energy even if he was nowhere close to getting drunk. It was the subtle influence of fire and ale. He knew he would have to return for a glass before too long, and felt unhappy with the prospect.
When he glanced at the bar, he noticed a girl watching him. Like the mature gentleman he was, he flipped her the bird and gave a snarky smile before downing the rest of his drink. He hated some of the women dragged in around the city. They saw a mutant as a challenge, or they saw them as fun. He screwed bad news and that always drew in the wrong crowd. He let a little flame ignite what was left of the drink in the glass, holding onto his golden blaze calmly. Released from his body, he had no control over it, but he still enjoyed the warmth.
Ahh, fire. If he could just sit in a fire and watch the world go to ashes, or wouldn’t be so bad.
Blue did not rush our wipe as frantically as the girl did. In fact, he would use the term moseying. He picked up the bag and walked toward the back door, letting flames lick around his body from time to time, lifting his cargo out of the way. He heard sirens and then the sprinklers came on. What a buzz kill.
Eventually he made it to where she was waiting. The gas line had preoccupied any thoughts of pursuit. Maybe some of their mutant containment units were busy on other sectors. He heard those were a thing now. With a yawn he approached, watching as the ring bottle shattered. ”I’m starting to think walkin’ thru walls has made you a tad clumsy, luv. Or is that just your natural reaction to someone as hot as me?” Feeling devilish, he leaned and poked her one on the cheek. Up close his eyes were brilliant blue that matched his flames. The flames themselves felt warm at best. Like a slight puff of warm air against your skin.
She was lazy, he was lazy. It was like a perfect match. Someone too lazy to pester him, and he was too bored to each her a lesson about it.
He watched her clutch the bottle of booze, noting she did not object to the theft. Or the arson. Heck, she was an accessory to crime and quite frankly didn't seem bothered. If all women were like this he would have hung out around them more. He watched the fire traveling, realizing they would eventually have a situation on hand. Firefighters would arrive, maybe police, maybe not. With consideration, he found a discarded bag and loaded a giant pile of mini-bottles into it. He tossed in some of the bigger bottles just to be prepared. And a bottle of hazelnut flavoring because damn if some of those harder drinks didn't taste bad.
"Well my dear, I have this here bag of flammable liquid. If your grubby little fingers try to steal it for yourself with your wonderful ghostyly abilities, I turn it all into an instant inferno. Or, we leave together. You help me find somewhere I can get a pair of pants and I'll share the booze. Since half of this really is your fault." He waved at the bar that was now at risk of an insurance claim. Huh, flames liked to travel. At least it didn't hit anything too volatile yet.
She was, something. If it was odd to see a naked man on fire in a bar, it was just as odd to see a short girl completely unbothered by it. She acted like the threat to burn her alive had been a game and now was spinning in a chair. Hmm, she may be worth keeping alive for the moment. She was entertaining, at least. She fished through the bar for liquor, and Blue watched her failed attempts. The tequila would be useful later. He would finish downing the beer in the meantime.
”I dunno how much wine you drink, darlin’, but you are a few chugs short of bein’ a full anythin’.”[/b] he refilled his cup and paused as she complimented him. A faint smile quirked the edge of his mouth.
”I have learned to stay in shape. You burn the clothes enough you gotta be confident in your looks. I set things on fire when people piss me off, and what can I say? A lotta people kiss me off.
He fished another bottle of tequila free and rolled it over toward her. Peace offering. A second glass of beer was promising to keep the bar intact for now.
Her tone was changing, and as it did, he felt less irritated. He paused, hand above a cup, and glanced around. The place was virtually empty now. Well, she was useful for one thing at least.
”Hmm, can’t say I’m a fan of twister. Although with your size I’m fairly certain you’d loose,”[/b] he laughed as he walked calmly to the bar. His flames had cooled and he was just a blue light show now. Hoping over, he dug for a glass and poured himself an IPA off the tap. It felt like a good way to start. After a lazy sip he leaned against the counter, raising an eyebrow at her.
”you managed to clear out the bar at least. Looks like I c’n have a drink in peace for the moment.” He sighed and considered his appearance. He should probably find clothing again soon. ”So do you always go around pickin’ fights with strange men, half-pint, or am I just lucky today?” he mocked.
Blue watched as the fire went through her, landing harmlessly on the ground. This was getting more interesting the longer he watched. He had never encountered a phasing mutant before. He found it almost like a challenge. Getting to his feet, he stood, noting how much shorter than him she was. He almost had to lean over to look her in the eye. "You started this little challenge. Aren't you going to see it through? If you didn't want to put out fires..." He leaned over, and touched a nearby glass. The liquid inside lit up and made a miniature candle for a moment as it burned. "You shouldn't have challenged me."
He was in full flame glory now. Flames from toes to shoulders, across his face, to his fingertips. It wouldn't take much for him to really cause damage in here. "Oh, and you may mind the water, but fun fact, it doesn't bother me at all. So, shall I turn on some sprinklers for you? Or we could play a game? Ever heard of, the floor is lava?" He let the heat from his feat leave scorch marks behind him. He touched another glass, a napkin, letting little flames make their way around the facility.
This girl was either brave, or very stupid. He was starting to think it was the second one. She was testing him to catch the bar on fire, and if he did, she would be the only one to blame. He was tempted, honestly. He would have more flames, he would be more comfortable, and he would recharge faster. But he was also feeling incredibly lazy. He should just do this the easy way.
He let one finger focus the flames, leaned closer, and flicked a little fireball at her empty glass.
"Guess we have to start small and work our way up then. I'll burn you first, and then take the rest of the bar with us. I needed a bigger fire anyway."
Blue sighed, an almost bored look on his face as he faced the woman with the mouth. Like a lazy animal he rolled over and sat up so his legs were draping outside the fireplace. Where his skin left the grate, blue flames rolled across his body. His head pulled free so only his backside was still seated in the fire. His gazed looked much darker tinted in cobalt.
"I don't think you want to test me, luv. I hear liquor is quite flammable, and these other patrons would be awful upset if I burned the bar down to show you a lesson." He was being honest. Several people were already edging away from the blonde who was provoking the flaming man. He lifted a hand, letting a little ball of blue flame gather, considering it. "Now, do you fancy being the one to end tonight's fun, or will you leave a guy to his fireplace and keep yer trap shut?"
He was a little cranky having been pulled from his nest. Little brat. She would have been cute if he wasn't feeling so annoyed.
Winter was awful. Blue didn't feel the cold like normal people, but rather, he felt the lack of warm things to recharge on. He missed the sun, and the heat, and he hated the way he felt tired all the time with this ridiculous snowy season.
The best way to recharge was with fire, and Blue could have just lit his own. But then he would not have been able to actually sleep and relax once he had a good blaze going. More than once, some fireman or good Samaritan would come along and put it out. He wanted to sleep, so he found the next best thing: a fireplace.
Getting in hadn't taken much effort. He stepped inside like he would step into a tub, and the flames quickly ate his clothes away, the burst of energy making him feel happy again. A few people had yelled at first, but when they realized he wasn't bursting into flame, they seemed annoyed, if anything. One bartender had started to tell him to leave, but the murderous gaze warded her off. Just like that, he made himself comfortable on a few bits of burning log, and settled in for his nap.
If only it lasted longer.
He could feel the eyes before he even heard the voices, and his jaw flexed irritably. As the bartender moved away, he snarled over his shoulder at them, feeling catty today. "Ain't ye ever seen a guy take a nap before? Mind yer own business before I bring the fire a little closer to you." He huffed. By rolling over, he managed to flash anyone who was looking, his smoldering expression rimmed by blue and yellow flames.
It was a Friday night and the club scene was alive. People wove in and out from the dance floor as music strummed through the speakers. Since coming to the city, Blue decided he should experience some of the more mundane experiences of life, and that included stopping in on this club.
Blue hadn't decided how he felt about it yet. He couldn't quite remember what the name was, something that sounded like a mixed drink. The Tipsy Cocktail? The Drunk Dancer? Whatever. He was just here for the alcohol, despite the fact the bartenders seemed absolutely terrified to serve him.
Well, he was on fire, after all. And alcohol was flammable. Maybe they had reason for concern. It was a shame. He had been in a good mood.
"Seriously, what does it take to get a drink around here?" He growled, leaning against the bar as the girl bent away. The flames on his hands licked menacingly, but he didn't let them go yet. There was enough heat naturally for her to get the picture, but he was wearing a new shirt and wasn't ready to walk home naked because of someone's bad customer service.
"I...I'm sorry, sir. What can I get you?"
"What's that one on the end there? The amber? That'll work." At this point, he just wanted anything. He flashed his ID, and the fact the plastic didn't melt seemed to put the girl at ease. He made note to singe her hair on the way out. Little snob. She wanted to be afraid? Well, he could make sure she really was!
As she set the drink down, he noticed someone had left a five at the table as a tip. With a dark look, he reached out a finger, and let the flames light it on fire. She gasped, swatting at the bill before it could ignite anything else. Blue picked up his drink, and gave her a nod.
"Next time someone asks you for a drink, luv, I suggest you do it quickly. Le's take that as a warnin' shall we?" He moved to an open couch and sat down. Hopefully, that was the last annoyance for the night.

Height: 6 foot 6 inches
Build: Thin, muscled but very small framed.
Visible mutation: Blue is always 'on fire'. His body constantly generates a ghost blue flame that flickers wherever skin is exposed.
Scars/ Tattoos/ Piercings: Blue has a tattoo in the middle of his back of a teal phoenix.
Other features: Blue's eyes tend to have a bit of a 'glow' to them, but they do not have flames. Flames are only where his skin is.
Everyday clothing style: Blue likes to have loose clothing. He wears shirts with the sleeves ripped off, sometimes just a vest or shorts. The more skin is exposed, the easier it is for him to defend himself. Blue does not shy away from making a spectacle. Just let them look, alright?
Uniform: Just his own glorious flames.
Sleepwear: Nekkid.
Miscellaneous clothing: None
Character
Personality: Blue does what he wants. He has used his powers to push people around and get his way most of his life. If anyone gets too close, he will burn them, both figuratively and literally. Because of his rough childhood, he tends to come across as manipulative, dark, and broody. There isn't much of a soft side to him at this point. He is just a twisted soul with a pyromaniac burning in the core.
Hobbies/ Interests: Blue likes to play guitar, and other musical instruments, which goes against his very "anti-people" attitude. He has no interest in a career or paying bills the normal way, he would rather push people around to do things for him. He came to New York to get away from his father, and is finding more resistance in the city than his old hometown. He may have to pick up a new hobby or two.
Job or part time job and description: None currently
Fears/ phobias/ concerns: Blue is afraid of his father, and also a bit of the dark, but he is always on fire so he never really has to deal with that fear.
Special talents: Blue is a good skateboarder, and very nimble.
Morality
Good/ bad/ neutral/ other: Blue is bad. He was raised by a father who despised him, and ran away as soon as he could. When his powers adapted to the point he could actually burn people, he used to to his advantage and took advantage of peoples kindness. Blue can manipulate if he wants, pretend to be a hopeless mutant down on his luck. But don't let him fool you, he has one interest in mind, and that's himself.
Mutations
Mutation description: Blue is always on fire. Literally. His body is constantly releasing blue flames that remain connected to his body. Unlike normal flames, they have a very low heat, and they tend to 'curve' away from objects. For instance, if Blue is wearing a shirt, the flames would appear down his arms, up his neck, face, and anywhere skin is exposed. If he is sitting on a couch, the flames would curl away from the couch. They only extend about 5 inches away from his body, losing substance the further away they are. The flames have light to them, so he has learned to cover his eyes when he sleeps with a mask. If he ever had to share a room, he would be like a fireplace constantly flickering.
The flip-side of his mutation is Blue has the ability to turn his flames 'on'. If he gets angry, the flames become normal fire, and react, burn, and scorch just like real flames. He is immune to fire himself, but his clothing, surroundings, and other people can then be impacted by them. He has burnt many articles of clothing losing his temper, so he has come to be fairly confident in his figure. If you're going to end up naked a lot, you need to stay in shape.
Blue's flames are not impacted by water, ice, or other elements when attached to his body. This is why he is known as "pilot". He is the pilot flame that never goes out. Water will react much like clothing, causing the flames to curl in toward his body or compress to a thin film. If he is completely submerged, he and the flames will both be "holding their breathe. Anything he sets on fire, however, can be put out.
Strengths: Blue is, first of all, immune to fire, and immune to cold. His body absorbs heat and turns it back into his flames, recycling energy for his own purposes. This also functions to prevent him from feeling the cold by his natural heat. If he is feeling tired, he could curl up in a fire and let his body take in some of the energy. Flames are his friend! Blue is also able to breathe smoke. When he is hanging out in a fireplace, he isn't slowly killing himself with smoke inhalation.
Blue also has two 'special attacks' he has managed to generate, each taking a significant amount of energy. The first attack is simply a fire blast. Channeling all his energy toward his palms, he "releases" his flames and the fire ignites outward. The torch has a temperature of around 800 degrees Fahrenheit, and can last for about 30 seconds. He can blast this about 5 feet from his body. The second is to concentrate his flames into one hand, creating a "butane torch", if you will. This pinpoint of heat can reach almost 1000 degrees Fahrenheit, and can last for almost 5 minutes. It is very small and concentrated, no more than about 4 inches from his body. Great for cutting through metal or breaking into things, but not good for large scale attacks.
Weaknesses and Limitations: Blue only has control of the flames attached to his body. Once they ignite anything near him, they are separate. If he lights wood on fire, he could pick it up and throw it, but cannot cause the fire to redirect on it's own. Blue also has to stay well fed, whether by heat, fire, or calories. He steals a lot of food and eats like a teenage boy constantly growing. Fire is hungry, and especially during seasons where it is colder and he has less heat to absorb, he can feel tired and weaker.
Physical Abilities Blue is fairly fit. Think, athletic but not body builder. He likes to look good, and is very smug about his appearance.
General Physical Capabilities: Above average strength, average speed, above average flexibility. He is built for endurance, not single powerful attacks.
Fighting Style: Let them burn! When someone pisses his off, he lights what he can on fire and watches the show. Blue would rather sit on a log and let the world burn down around him. The flames make him feel energizes, and he basks like a happy little salamander as everything falls apart around him.
Fighting Style Pros/Cons: Blue doesn't have to do much if he can just let the fire do the work. What's to worry about when you aren't going to be hurt by the fire? If someone else is, that's not his problem.
History Of Your Character
Blue grew up in a tiny town in Utah, with his deadbeat dad. His mom was jailed shortly after giving birth to him, and eventually ran out, never to return. Blue has had powers since the moment his mother gave birth, earning him the name "Blue". He thought it was awful original too. His dad wasn't bad in the beginning, but grew frustrated with the annoying light show his son seemed to constantly have.
By the time Blue was 7, his dad became more violent. He would drink, hit things, hit people. Blue learned to stay out of his way, and eventually, he learned to ignite his powers to avoid his father's touch. At first he could only burn people, letting the flames generate heat, but as he grew, so did his flames. Now, he is 25 and his flames have a will as strong as his. He is looking for a new place to settle, and is willing to push away those who would stop him.

New York was bigger than Blue expected, which gave him a small sense of thrill. The buildings stretched above him, people flooded around him, and even the bravest seem to give him a wide berth as he walked down the street. Blue was wearing a short sleeved shirt, arms exposed with the dancing flames he was known for. He was comfortable even in the chilly weather, enjoying the subtle thrum of his own powers rushing through him.
Humans were idiots, really. They scurried away from his fire as if expecting him to spontaneously ignite. He walked into a restaurant, and walked out with a fresh steak without even lifting a finger. Then again, few chefs wanted to fight when they saw a human flame coming near their gas lines. It didn't take much to threaten people these days.
As he walked, someone gave a curious look, longer than most. Blue responded by staring right back, leaning forward with a sneer. "What's the matter, luv? Afraid of a little fire?"
She jerked backward, and he grinned wider.
"I'm sorry, I just, the colors, I thought they were pretty."
"Pretty?" He frowned, letting the heat carry down one arm, reaching a palm out toward her. A little fireball gathered there, licking eagerly for something to feast on. "Fire is a lot of things, dear. Wild, angry. Dangerous. I wouldn't get so close if I were you, though." He reached forward and she screamed as the sleeve of her jacket caught fire. A few strangers quickly helped put it out, before trying to get out of harms way. Blue just clicked his tongue against his teeth. "Shame really. Fire likes to burn."
