The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Cage alighted on the very tip of the rocky point. His form was a seagull. This way if she brought the fuzz hed just disapear into the throngs of seagulls in the area. He had stashed his food back at the warehouse and had gone for a flight as an American Eagle. He enjoyed floating around in the sky using the heat columns that rose from the ground./ Now he just stood there his bird head twitching every now and then to see if she was coming.
*tricity pulled the mustang up to a dark area where parking was allowed, but of course not this late. she hoped she didnt get towed and she also hoped this guy would want to talk where there was some light...and an electric source. as she stood out of the car reluctantly, tricity wrapped her long, black peacoat around her more closely since it was cooler by the water. she'd hadnt been back here in a long time and forgot how the city skyline looked gorgeous from the docks.* now...where is he? *she walked over the wooden planks, her leather boots making a lot of noise, and then went down near the rocks. the wind whipped around her hair and face as she looked around for them man. she thought maybe he was intimidated by her and then chuckled.* yea right..
Cage saw her at the end of the pier. Wondering why she didnt come over to the point as he had asked he took flight and landed near her on the railing. He called out to her as only a seagull could.
*the bird startled her, almost making her trip.* GEEZ! stupid bird...you nearly scared me to death! i have no food so back off. there are probably enough dead bodies to peck on in the water anyway... *tricity said, putting her arms on the railing and looking out of the water.*
Cage fluttered to the floor when she shooed him. On the floor he morphed. Now he was human again. He leaned silently against the railing just a few feet behind her. He put a cigar in his mouth and used the zippo to light it. Closing it he let her hear the cvlick.
*she turned around and jumped, putting a hand to her chest.* DAMN! were you trying to scare me?! *she said, fixing her jacket and standing up a little taller.*
"Only if you were trying to shoosh me." he said smiling as he took a drag. His long overcoat swayed in the breeze. It reminded him of those old black and white cop and gangster movies from the forties. His long bluish black hair floated in the sea breeze, and he exhaled some smoke from the cigar.
He moved so thew smoke wouldnt drift toward her. "Sorry, I didnt think of it." he mumbled indicating the cigar. "As far as the name goes how about you, if I tell you mine will you tell me yours?" he chuckled good naturedly as he recognized the unintentional 'If I show you mine will you show me yours?'
He smiled again "Well, milady my name is Cage. Spelled with a 'C' and as you know well enough now I am an animorphic. I enjoy sunsets, writing and occasionally I share my time with people whom I dont feel threatened by." he said grinning. He loved sounding like one of those ads in the paper.
Cage tossed the last bit of his cigar into the ocean and the current carried it away. gruffly he said "He was my father. He was killed by a traitor. Guess who wants revenge for it?" he leaned against the railing again folded his arms then thought better of it and put one in his pocket and the other on the railing.
