"Yup," Amelia agreed. It was time to catch up. Most of the people on this floor (and others, maybe?) had left out the front doors. It was time for them to figure out who was causing this, and stop them.
She took off after Staff dude and let him lead the way.
With any luck, the next desk they saw would tackle him again. She'd let him tank that. He seemed tough.

Streak was done dealing with the now inert desk. It looked normal, except for the giant hole in it from where it was stabbed. They may want to replace that thing when they get back to work. Streak through. He just had the image of someone trying to write a memo and stabbing through their paper because they were writing over the hole in the desk. Amelia seemed to be following him as they hurried off to catch up with Jorge and Kealey. They needed to keep moving towards this guy, otherwise they might lose their shot at getting this guy.
"Expect things to get a little more crazy when we get closer to this guy." The silver mutant said to Amelia. She wasn't an X-men but she was here so he needed to be sure that she was ready for whatever came at them when they got closer. Finally, Streak caught up with Jorge. He looked ready with his snake-water stuff going on. "How far do we have before we get to where this guy is? Streak asked Jorge.
It was Jorge and Kealey's jobs to find this guy and he wanted to have a general idea of when things were about to go nuts. The silvermancer had his weapons ready for anything to jump at them and surprise them. For the next few minutes they seemed to be in a calm. Streak had the feeling that it was like the calm before the storm, and that this psycho was hoarding all his best defenses for a surprise attack on them.
This guy had been unsuccessful in keeping the people inside the building thanks to them but they still weren't out of the clear. There was plenty of risks for them before this little adventure was over.

>> "I wouldn't be shocked if things get more and more hairy as we get towards the center of the building." [/color]
“Neither would I,” Jorge agreed.
In all honestly he had a feeling that things were going a bit easier than he would have expected. Yeah they ran into a couple of murderous office pieces, but other than that it really seemed like they were not meeting with as much resistance. Of course, given the plots of movies and novels, he probably should have bit his tongue. The second anyone thought that they were being let off easy was the second that everything would decidedly go wrong.
He grumbled as he kept his eyes peeled and the water tight around his arms. There was really little that it could do against lifeless furniture, but it was at least better than nothing.
As the duo passed through the hall, they winced at the sparks of lights and the eyed the fallen furniture. There was not much moving during this hall, but there were definitely signs of the mayhem that they all had caused. Deep scratches in the walls, dents, broken glass, even a spot or two of blood; Jorge couldn’t believe that someone was able to do all of this. But that was what always made his job shocking, the depths that people would sink to.
In the back of his mind he tried to run a scenario or two as to why this happened, what the possible motivation may have been. He came up empty, though, just as he heard a familiar voice from behind. They were rejoined by Shawn and the young lady.

He was thankful to have Shawn back. His gift for making weapons could indeed come in handy.
“Couple floors up, in the heart of the building,” Jorge responded. He then nodded to Kealey. “She can sense something up there. Seems like it might be our culprit.” He then turned as he eyed the length of the hall. “Only question is…what is the safest route—“
Thomp! Thomp!! Thud!! Crunch!![/b]
He paused mid-sentence as he turned to look. The stretch of hall was pretty nondescript, lined with doors that were half open or closed completely. Light coverings hung on by threads, debris lay all about, and yet nothing seemed to be making those riotous sounds. It was then that he caught sight of a shadow moving down the hall. He strained his eyes through the dim light and spied, what looked like a stapler hopping across the ground. Bright, neon pink and clacking, it actually looked kind of cute…
…until it was joined by a desk, a few computers, file cabinets, chairs, plastic plants, and various other office paraphernalia.
“Crap,” he grumbled.
To which all the furniture charged…
