The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Clearing up some confusion: the Mansion attack will not be actually played out in a thread, because it has already happened. Just tossing it out there so people can reference it in flashbacks, memories, post-waking-up stress and fun stuff like that. For those of us who actually die there, it will be just a mosaic of chaotic flashbacks anyway. Have fun
The Mansion happenings also included Juka. He would have been assisting in the save and protect efforts and nearly got killed in the process. Almost dead, he managed to escape and find eventual healing.
Ok, I'm deciding to have Miles staying at the town if the sheriff has no problem with that. He can use his two dogs to forage, scout, track or keep watch and since they don't eat or drink anymore, they're self sustainable. Being mentally linked to them has to be of some use for the townies. He's got his dark mode pretty much under control because he's emotionally stunted due to a character development trauma I just thought up. He has better control and understanding of his dogs.
Other than that, I was thinking of giving him a knife and a rifle for hunting (rats, dogs, cats) and protection purposes. If not a rifle, then a gun. He is in no way a sharpshooter or skilled with the knife, both being somewhat recent additions, but he's not afraid to use them. Then again, bullets should be pretty scarce, so he leaves firing it as a last resort.
Any suggestions are welcome. If I'm overstepping any boundaries or going about it the wrong way, let me know.
By the way, he'll be 18 by then, more responsible and less affable.
Heh, something else for Drew to feel guilty about! He won't have been there to help defend the Mansion and finding his home in that state and the dead would have been fairly troubling to him. Anyone that died in that attack can consider themselves buried by Drew A.K.A Styx, Horseman of Death.
The Subway (my apologies if this has already come up) is the sort of thing one would want to control. It provides quick, direct, sheltered transport, convenient choke points to hold against invasions, as well as places to hole up for small groups, hidden away from the world.
It also comes with dangers, cave ins, bandits, other people, animals, rogue mechanical constructs ready to chew off a curious hand. It would be a major part of the world.
Also bridges, NYC is a city reliant on bridges for transport between areas. Would they still be there? The logic on explosions that are nuke sized says no on most minor ones, and maybe on major ones, but they only survive because of constant maintenance. Something to consider. Chiming in late.
This feral is just fine with Shane being tossed in. As long as he can contribute to the general collection of food and defence of territory, of course.
After finally having read all of this plotting, I'd like to announce that Sam will be around for this. But seeing how out of the loop I am on everything he'll probably be a loner.
You don't have to be out of the loop. If you think Sam would be less civilized after the boom, the ferals could take him in. Or join the town if you want. Roach might have something Sam could do, if he wasn't a pit fighter. *Shrugs.* But you can be independent if you like.

The Pit is officially open for business!
First off! Things you should know before you enter the pit: You were either kidnapped and sold to the pit, or volunteered, either way, you will get supplies and food rations if you make it out alive. Of course, winners get more, and medical help; losers get some band-aids, cold soup, and told to either try again or get lost.
Should you capture someone, and bring them to the Pit, you get a few things! First, you get a front row seat up by the boss man himself(and possibly a good opportunity to assassinate him, if that's what you're into~!), Second, you get a promise that if he has any one piece of equipment you desire* you may have that. Third, you get to stay in the luxury suite for one night only, with company if so desired**!
*Within reason **It may be a cockroach.
Second off! The Pit and the surrounding compound are described as follows: Located on liberty Island, you must either ride the ferry(it's a really big row boat; the fuel is reserved for kidnapping people and raiding), or find your own over-water transportation. All of this can be handwaved IC. When you arrive on the island, you pass through the first security checkpoint, where a moderately intelligent talking cockroach minion and some other NPC's will pat you down, and hold all of your weapons; assume they are fairly competent, and you can't sneak anything too big in. You will then enter into a trading post, where people hawk their hard earned and scavenged goods for access to the arena, or they enter themselves into the pit in order to gain much needed supplies. People live in this place(the guards and families, as well as regular gladiators), so it is rather cluttered and messy. In the center of the compound, is the masterpiece, where the statue of liberty once stood; A dome made from scrap, large enough for people to fight, and view fights from all angles, and small enough for you to wish it was bigger while on the inside. It's walls are lined with hooks; hooks with weapons hanging from them. Some of the weapons are normal; baseball bats with nails in them, crude spears. Some are unique; lawn mowers, chain saws, hedge clippers. All of these are at your disposal, though to may have to climb for them! Finally, perched up high in the dome is a throne in which the dome's creator sits, and announces the fights, and gives the occasional speech!
And that is our lovely AoS death pit in a nutshell!
With that out of the way, here's how this is gonna work;
You can sign up for one of three arena activities, some of which involve sending me a lovely PM~~~ And some don't!
Option one: You, and someone else really want to see how your characters would stand up against each other! You may fight to the death, or until someone is unable to fight; your call! If you would like a special scenario in which you and your lovely battle partner can battle each other in, send me a PM, and I will either(at your request) A: Tell you if it's possible, or B: Give you a surprise scenario of my choosing!
Option two: You want to fight another PC in the arena. You don't care who you fight, in fact, you want it to be a surprise! PM me to let me know! I will do my best to make all fights balanced and interesting!
Option three: You want to maim, kill, torture, publicly embarrass NPCs*! What do I say to that? Have at it! I will even offer up Roach for the occasional color commentary!
*Remember, nothing too graphic, this is a T rated site, after all
Obligatory option D: If you have something else entirely in mind for the Pit, send me a PM, or catch me of the C-box! I will do the best I can to satisfy your every RP desire!
The pit can also be an RP destination as well, if you want to play out your threads with death, destruction, and a cheering bloodthirsty crowd in the background! Just let me know if you plan on causing a huge disturbance(IE: blowing up my lovely death pit). Keep in mind that security is insanely heavy, and all weapons are checked on in the way in.
I look forward to hearing from you, and if you have any questions about the arena itself, let me know!
So here's the run down for Enders post Apocalypse, directly after the explosion Enders goes out into the dust filled, and as far as he knew, irradiated ruins of New York city to try and help dig up any possible survivors. As a result he is now developing lung and throat cancer causing him to wear a respirator developed for him by the brilliant mind of Ruby Lupin.
Flash Forward a bit Enders now is a transporter with Emerald bringing either goods or people to a set location for a fee through the use of their motorcycles, this has put him at odds with the Amazons several times in the past who have tried to take the things he is hired to deliver.
As a base of operations they reside in a city underneath the ruins of New York named Haven, the location is mentioned in Emerald’s solo Let The Beast Free as well as it’s mysterious sponsor, Lawrence, a wealthy man who dealt with a good deal of the Illegal arms dealings in New York as well as various other crimes. It can be described as a small city underground with large crystal spires spread throughout holding up weak sections of the damaged ceiling. Several entrances can be found either in the abandoned subways or through various areas throughout the city. However, there is a very tough check in point to get through in order to get into any of the entrances of the city. Anyone attempting to enter it will be scanned by telepaths, frisked and belongs will be searched. Every single possible entrance of this place is under 24 hours surveillance by a combination of mutants and humans, all highly trained powers and weapons. Think of Airport security and multiply it by about 40.
There are various sectors in the community and surprisingly, most of the residences live in relative equality to one another considering the mix of Humans and Mutants that occupy the city. The current population for Haven ranges to about 300 individuals 1/3 of which are Combatants, 1/3 Non-Combatants and 1/3 for children and elderly, the only ones who live in a little bit better dwellings are those who are the town leaders and their families. All of the residents were constructed by a few Earth and Metal manipulators which managed to look surprisingly comfortable and homey. All furniture has either been scavenged from the surface or brought down from the surface . Food is grown by a combination of Hydroponics as well as nature mutants who help keep the planets growing. I the city also has an army mixed with mutants and human alike, driven together by the need to protect their families, and any threats to the city are dealt with, there are various privileges for having such a wealthy man be your sponsor, and the city shows it by it’s sheer amount of armaments and supplies. It would seem that this Underground Place had been preparing for something like this and to say it’s sponsor was prepared would be an understatement. .
The city has a school, a meeting hall and as well as various shops and the like (bartering being the main method of trade) for those who don’t want to go up to the surface. It also has healers and doctors, really various people from various walks of life coming together for the apocalypse in this small city. Ruby Lupin acts as the local mechanic fixing, repairing and modifying the small fleet of vehicles the residents have managed to gather throughout the last few years. For those who do go up to the surface, jobs including scouting, scavenging and all of that other good stuff involved in living in this sort of landscape. Residence include individuals not oppose to living underground though many do travel back and forth from the Jorge Cervantes settlement.
While Enders isn't the leader of the city he is a well-respected member of the society several of its residence either being people he pulled from the rubble or having heard of what he did respect him immensely for it though he is quick to tell people he is no hero. Emerald Lupin however does hold a position in the political decision making organization and is regarded very highly among the citizens for being the one who helped lead them all down to Haven. Emerald acts as the liaison to the mysterious sponsor for Haven and is the only one currently to have contact with him.
Enders frequents the Jorge settlement often and has fought with him against invades on several occasions through the use of his mutant abilities and a sawed off double barrel shotgun he keeps in a holster strapped to his right thigh.
Anyone wanting to use Enders in any part of the past weather it be him pulling them from rubble, him and Emerald transporting something or someone for them, or them being residence in the underground city is absolutely fine and encouraged just please either post here or shoot me a PM so I'm aware of it. Thanks and lets have fun with the Age Of Sebastian
Just wanted to add the everything has been done in consultation from Emerald and things concerning the settlement have been cleared with Gina. The bit with the Amazons is still waiting on clearance from them and is only part subject to change.
What Enders said is what Emerald's been doing in the meantime of the disaster however, I will add a bit more to Emerald side of it as well as Rubys.
Emerald: At the time of the explosion, she was in fact underground in her last fight in the cage fighting she had managed to get herself into. Thanks to the quick thinking of her sponsor, Lawrence, she was saved. Her face getting scarred in the process of escaping the possible collapse. After a quick debate, Emerald convinces her sponsor to use his seemingly unlimited resources to help her save people. Emerald managed to bring a small group of people down, in the underground where the settlement was built with the extensive help of Lawrence.
Emerald has taken up delivering things and doing odd jobs like Enders mentioned as well as becoming a prominent figure in the community, an Alpha if you will. She does however, get called out to Lawrence's estate to be given tasks of various things and she always does them in order to keep the settlement alive. Before this whole thing happened, amidst her returns to the Island to train with her mother, Emerald had weapon training by her mother, who was a swords woman. Emerald too trained in this art but preferred the two handed swords as opposed to the one handed sword her mother was infamously good at. When it's necessary and a hand to hand fight isn't enough, Emerald will resort to using the large blade, crafted to her partially by Enders once her old one broke.
Ruby: Since she was also down beneath the ground during the whole thing, watching the cage fight her sister participated in. She too has become a sort of figure in the community, mainly being a mechanic as sort of sniper, her accuracy being something quite renewed in her community. She is also quite good at gun slinging in general but she still prefers to use her repeating crossbow that she had helped create.
Ruby works mainly in the community and occasionally goes out and salvages and as much as her older sister hates to admit it, the gun slinging, crossbow bolt firing, electricity flinging fox girl can handle things.
If anyone wants to plot with me just send me a pm or catch me on aim, same as my first characters first and last name, just no space.
