The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Calley
Calley had just been minding his own business when he suddenly saw someone else’s business he could mind. Someone who looked about his age. Someone who didn’t look prone to throwing people into walls for the slightest infractions.
Without any sort of shyness or etiquette, he walked over and sat himself down on the bench alarmingly close to the guy. And then he stared at him. “Yo,” he greeted with a little too much energy for this time of night.
To all parties concerned, he looked like nothing more than an annoying human. …A really annoying human.
It was a wonderfully star filled night and the young cat girl had decided to get some fresh air. She started out with walking but that got boring so she changed up to leaping from tree to tree if they were close enough. Sometimes having to jump to the ground and rebound up into the next tree.
Not really paying much attention to where she was going she soon found herself nearing a clearing. She could see a lone bench and two people sitting on it. Curiously she watched form a distance while remaining in the tree she was in.
After finally getting rid of Derrick, Kitra had walked to Central Park...
Sitting on a bench in the large clearing, staring up into the sky were two boys.
"Well, hello. Nice night isn't it?" Kitra had strolled over to the two boys and had plopped down on the bench. She then looked up at the sky, "Kitra, whats yours?"
The trio of bounty hunters were waiting for the body guard to leave before moving in. They’d been tipped off that the girl was wanted alive and had orders to drop her unconscious around the back of the Noir restaurant.
With only two kids with her now seemed the perfect time to strike. All three guys were 6’3” and heavily muscled. Not only that, but they were all good shots. Suddenly one of them recognised one of the kids.
“Isn’t he the kid Frank’s working with?” he asked. After a second look they confirmed it and decided it best that he leaves this unharmed. As one they sauntered over towards the three of them.
“Listen Miss,” the leader said, “You’re gonna have to come with us. You two gents can either leave now or deal with us. The choice is yours.” None of them had draw their pistols yet, but would at a moments notice.
Tristan jumped and wipped out his head phones as a boy sat next to him, "Yo." he had said, then seconds later a girl came over and sat down announcing her name "Kitra, yours." Tristan looked around as these random people just came and sat next to him. "Umm, i'm Tristan." He looked between them as another man approched the bench telling the girl that she had to come with him. Tristan stood up and and looked at all the people apearing out of nowhere. "Wow, whats wrong with this city." He slowly reached his hand into his pocket and pulled out a small pebble.

Calley
Calley shot an amused look to Tristin. "Welcome to New York City," he said. He didn't bother getting up for the three men. A.) They weren't here for him. B.) He wasn't the heoric type. C.) He still had a broken rib. Thank you, Scary Violent Pillow-Hating Abusive Boss Man. He did look at them, though, and say simply: "That's a terrible pick-up line. If I were her, I definitely wouldn't go with you." It was very conversational, the way he said it. He didn't really care what happened here, with these thugs and with the girl, so long as it didn't involve him getting hurt. He didn't plan on leaving, though.
It didn't take long for the lonely bench to become very crowded. Three people wer not sitting on it. Moments later three rather large men approached the three on the bench. Nika could hear them all talking but what she didn't like was one of the men standing up had told the girl she had to go with them. The men also threatened the two guys sitting on the bench.
The cat girl's ears twitched as she focused on the conversation amongst the group. She didn't know if any of them were mutants. Maybe they all were but they just look human. One can never tell now a days, but that didn't change how the situation was making Nika feel.
Leaping out from the tree and taking a single bound to close the distance Nika landed close to the gathering and stopped in a crouched position. "What if she doesn't want to go with you big bullies?" Nika watched the three men carefully.
Kitra stood, "First; why would I go with you? Two; I am not going with you. Third; I don't like bounty hunters, if thats what you are. And fourth; I just don't like you."
A throwing dagger appeared in Kitra's hand then was gone as it lodged itself into one of the men's shoulders. Then it disappeared leaving a gaping hole.
She then held a bo in her hands. Glaring she spoke her voice like ice, "Who's next?"
When Nika jumped down one of the men spun around to face her, pulling out his pistol. “Back off mutie, this doesn’t concern you.” Then another took a hit to the shoulder.
He grunted in pain and reached for the dagger, only to find it gone. Growling at Kitra as she held the bo that appeared from no where he drew two foot long daggers and advanced, ready to subdue her.
One kept his gun trained on Nika, ready to fire the second she moved. The last had his gun draw and was covering the guys, willing to shoot Geo if he moved but would only give Calley a warning shot.
(OOC: Ok guys, you have 3 men trained to basic military standards each with a pistol and a pair of foot long knives. The are willing to kill Nika and Geo, but will only wound Calley and Kitra. This will be my last post in this thread, take it away)
Tristan dropped staright to the ground hitting it with his fist to pillars shot up from the ground knocking the guns from there hands. He scurried back up and ran at the man who had his gun fixed on Geo. "Picked the wrong night buddy," Tristan slammed his shoulder into the man's gut knocking him on the ground. Trsitan held the pebble in his hand and clapped them together so that they turned to rock fist, he let out a sigh of relief that they had worked and dropped the fist onto the man's face until he seemed to have lost conciousness. He went to attack the other but someone else had taken action.

Calley
...Woah. Just woah. There was stabbing and rock pillars and pinning and cat ears all around him.
...Cool. A little close for comfort, but cool. Calley drew his legs up onto the bench and tucked them under his chin, watching with blatant curiousity. He'd never really seen other mutants at work. Except for the Scary Violent Boss Man. And it didn't take a cool power to break someone's rib.
He did have a question: why were they all revealing themselves? What were mutants, some sort of tight-nit rush-to-the-rescue-in-flashy-ways family? He'd somehow missed that part of their subculture when he got his powers. Someone had forgotten to mail him the manual.
All Nika needed was a distraction for the man pointing his gun at her and she got it when pillars shot up form the ground and hit the man's hands. The cat girl pushed off with her legs from her crouched position and while at the same time Nika's claws went into action as she pounced the man. Her claws digging into his chest while her feet were planted in his abdomen.
"Now you listen! You leave or you'll have one hell of a night." Nika had a very serious look on her face as she bared her fangs in a wicked sort of smile. The answer she received was less than a simple reply. Instead the guy punched her in the side of the head causing Nika to sit up. This was enough to make her pull her claws out of his chest and gave the man another opportunity as he brought his legs up and in a scissor style move grabbed Nika by the neck and flipped her off.
"You stupid half breed I'm gonna make you eat those words."
Seeing that two of the bounty hunters were busy with the cat gal and rock man, she looked at hers with the two very long knifes.
"So, you want to play with metal huh?"
With a slight frown, the bo in Kitra's hands had disappeared at those words and two short and shiny metal poles had appeared.
"Shall we?" Not expecting an answer Kitra lunged forward. He met her poles with his knifes. Sparks flew as metal hit metal with incredible force.
Kitra stepped back slightly and her frown appeared as she let one of her poles fade and a wicked looking dagger appeared in its place.
She lunged forward bringing her pole up in a feint, then brought the dagger slashing at his left wrist. Her pole had knocked away one of his knifes and he had blocked her slash at his wrist. His remaining knife sliced throught the air towards her face.
She leaned backwards and a little to the left, avoiding getting her face sliced open. Which would not have been a pleasent experience. She had leaned enough to aviod the face but still got a nasty gash on her right shoulder. Kitra had realized she was getting tired too quickly and needed to end this.
Kitra brought her daggers up and sliced through the air blocking the bounty hunter's remaining knife with one of hers jarring her shoulder. Her other dagger bit flesh and then knicked shoulder bone.
An image frome her sketchbook appeared in her mind. <Well, that would work. Not lethal but it will still work.>
She then frowned even more as her dagger faded away and beads of sweat appeared and a one handed, very sharp and shiny scythe appeared and she sliced downwards and took the already injured arm off with that lethal slice.
He went down with a strangled moan. Kitra wondered how here other fellow nighttime strollers were doing. She also mused on what direction the bounty hunter's knocked away knife went.
Tristan stood up straight flipping his hair out of his he looked over to the cute girl who the men we're after. He slammed his fist together and the crumbleed back to there normal size. He gave her a nod and a smile. "How you doin." [[OOC:Sorry i couldn't resist the chance]] IC:He looked over at the two men squirming on the ground. 'Wow' he thought 'and i just wanted some fresh air'
