The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Gwen shied away from Svetlana’s hands, hey were so cold in comparison to she was, but she didn’t fight the movements of the beautiful blonde. The shirt slipped on easily and she could feel the warmth of the fabric as it raised to match her own. Gwen groaned as she tried to focus her eyes and actually see the face of the person that was trying to help her. She had no idea where Jude had brought her to but she was in no condition to fight or protest no matter where they were. Though, if it was a hospital she was going to have to make sure to grab her file on her way out. There was no way she was going to let her ‘parents’ find her just because she got a little sick. Okay well a lot sick but there was still no way. She sat silently listening to their conversation and not really hearing it for if she had there was no way any sickness would have stopped her form commenting.
>>"She's a psychotic hobo with trust issues named Lucy."
"Oh." Because that was not disturbing at all.
>>"She's a mutant zat can find people. She can find anybody. I ran into her in ze future once, uh, now ze past. When I wanted to find Ghost so badly. She wouldn't help."
Now that was better. Jude knew her. In the future. She was not a complete stranger. She was a psychotic hobo that Jude found...
>>"Under a park bench."
"Dat does not sound good." she muttered, working the shirt onto the girl. She was half conscious, and burning up.
"Jude, go to the bathroom and run warm water in the tub. We're going to bring her fever down. Den go look if we have any medicine for fever. And call DocProf."
Having to take care of a little sister taught Sveta a thing or two.

Jude had stood there dumbfounded for long enough. Svetty had given him a task. Medicine. Bathroom. Bath. "You just put clothes on her." He grumbled more to have something to grumble about than actual dissatisfaction.
Jude stuffed his sleeves up over his elbows and turned the bath water on in the patient bathroom. She'd said warm so he jammed the knob somewhere middle-ish and plugged the drain before taking the stairs two at a time to get to their personal bathroom. He knew they had acetometo-whatever and that helped reduce fever, but it was a pill and until sleeping beauty woke up, there would be no pill swallowing.
Meh. Let Svetlana sort that out. He grabbed the plastic bottle and then went for the phone to complete the third stage of his task.
Jude hurried to the bathroom to start a bath, then hurried some more to get everything else done. He looked mildly freaked out, and Sveta did not blame him. When someone comes in with bleeding that needs to be stopped, that is one thing; when someone is burning up from the inside, that's another.
Reaching under the girl's knees and shoulders, Sveta lifted her up from the bed. She was not light, but she was not nearly as heavy as she should have been either. She was skinny at best. Walking over to the patient bathroom the slowly lowered the girl into the warm water, making sure it was the right temperature.
"It is okay" she muttered, turning the tap ever so slightly to make the flowing water a little cooler. she made sure the girl was lying in the bath as comfortably as possible. Now she just had to wait.

Gwen could hear the French cadence of the man who had saved her from what was probably death but could not make out anything he was saying. Finally her hearing was equalizing and though she couldn’t understand them she could hear their voices. Jude the French copy cat and his Russian girlfriend. She could hear someone leave and the sounds of the blonde still helping her. The room was still blurry however and she didn’t know when she would be able to see once more. Though it only took a few seconds for the girl to destroy her heads small amount of reorienting.
Gwen’s head started spinning as she felt herself being lifted off the bed. She sighed and her body relaxed as she was lowered into the warm embrace of the water. It was a small idea but it was a good one. Up until this moment she had been freezing to death. Gwen tried to sink as much of her body into the water in pursuit of warmth. As the water cooled Gwen shivered but did not move as the water was the only thing protecting her from the cold air outside.
"DocProf said he wasn't going to make house calls anymore for us." Jude trotted down the stairs after his brief conversation. He had the fever-reducing medicine in hand and offered it to Svetty who was officially in charge of all nakedness in these apartments. "I explained zat it was a hobo mutant and he grumbled, but he's on Broadway now. Shouldn't be but two... maybe five minutes."
Jude peeked around into the bathroom. You know. To check on the hobo's well being. "How's Lucy?"
