The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

"Somehow I predict our invitations will get lost in the mail. We may have to crash their little party."
Amp smiled tightly. "Gladly. Party crashing is a favorite passtime..."
“Yeah well, I bet there service there will be terrible as well. Just look at the catering service here. Not even a proper drink.”
Amp didn't turn quickly enough to catch the entire phrase; plush she had a harder time reading the girl's lips, due to the feline features. But she did make out the word 'drink'. She swallowed, suddenly realizing she, too, had a dry throat.
She noticed Isabel fiddling with her bracelet, and glanced down at the two she'd been cuffed with. She snorted.
"Usually I like free jewelry.... But couldn't they have made them gold?" she grumbled to no one in particular. "What are they supposed to do? Kill you from fashion disgust?" Without Vibe around, she had no way of finding out on her own, even accidently.
This was the first time Sara had a chance to sit down and actually listen to the way Amp talked. Immediately feeling stupid for just making her own assumptions before. The girl did very well. She must read lips of something. Especially since the feline had been fooled before. But now Sara could hear a difference in the way she annunciated her words. Not a slur like some but not the same as other either.(I hope this is ok for me saying this part here.) She was deaf. That also made sense as to why Isabel had touched her.
Speaking of Isabel, the other girl had begun fiddling with her bracelet. Sara raised a hand waving it slowly over Isabel’s hand for two reasons, to stop her and get both their attentions.
She shook her head with a light no.
"What are they supposed to do? Kill you from fashion disgust?"
“If only.” Sara said, knowing her mouth was probably being looked at the same way as a moment ago. What with the way her oddly shaped lips had to work around those longer teeth and flatter tongue. “When they first put it on my wrist it shocked me. Only stopping when my body stopped healing, but who knows what else.” She gave a one shoulder shrug and let her hand drift back to it’s first position, tucked around her knees.
Isabel listened passively to the exchanged words as her fingers worked over the big clunky bracelet clasped around her wrist, her fingernails running lightly across the creases in the surface where the two edges were locked together. She wondered how easy it would be to break it off, maybe a well placed bone between the creases and simply increase pressure until it popped off. She almost tired it when a furry paw-like hand was passed in front of her vision, making her look up at its owner with a quirked brow. She saw the little shake of the woman's head, and returned a somewhat quizzical look, as if asking why she'd been stopped. She payed little mind to the fashion disgust remark, her attention focusing on the information the feline woman spouted. So it had shocked her? "Just a shock? How strong? Does it do anything else? Wonder if I can pry it open..." And with that her attention shifted right back to the bracelet and her mind tried to invent ways of removing it.
The sudden lurch of the vehicle threw her off balance, the palm of her left hand slamming flat onto the metal floor to help keep herself from falling over. "Hmph. Maybe would should have had 'Fragile' stamped on out foreheads," she remarked irritably when she was able to straighten her posture back out as the truck's speed evened out and the vehicle began running at a smoother pace. "I don't think I want to know where these guys are taking us. I only wish I could take a few more of them out once we get there," she mumbled, her hand raising to mess with her newest accessory yet again.
I’m just a well-adjusted gal who likes to leave a serious amount of mayhem in her wake.
