The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

The name flippy just sounded so funny that Nika couldn't help but laugh. "You must mean Kaz. We just met him over by the bar. He was talking to both Nicki and I." She looked to see what Kaz was doing now that they were talking about him.

Kaz's movements were smooth and exotic, earning him some small room in the cluster of people. Fluid as water, he danced to the beat. Suddenly a hard beat, and his body would tense in perfect harmony. It seemed a bit tribal, but urban at the same time. Eye's closed as he felt the bodies around him, the heat coming from them, the smell of sweat. Dips and twists were plentiful. With every shift of the music, his dance changed. More beats, move moves; harder beats, a bit more tense moves and sudden stops; slow long beats, he moved as if under water.
Over the roaring sound of music, he heard Nika talking and decided to move towards her, still dancing as he moved. When he reached them, he came up behind the girl he hadn't met yet. "Flippy huh."
She watched Kaz and Iara greet each other. Just then the song switched to something Nika loved. It was more of a rave style song with a good beat that would change up every so often. Feeling the music resonate through her she started gettinginto her raver dance style. Even going so far as pulling out a couple glow sticks out of her pocket. She made the liquid lights become blurs through the air as they moved around her arms, sides and legs.

Kaz matched rythem and pace with the new girl. "I suppose. It seems I'm the one at a loss, you know my name, but I don't know yours." Even though their movements were a bit chaotic, he still held his hand out to her for a hand shake, while making it an easy part of his dance. "What would you have called me if I had just dissapeared from where I was and appeared at the dance floor?"
Looking past the girl, he noticed the glowsticks light up in Nika's hands, <Where did she get those?>.

"Shadow probably."
She shook his hand with quite a bit of grace and kept dancing. The new music drove her with insane passion. She was surprised to see a guy actually be able to keep up.
"The name is Iara by the way."
She smirked then followed his eyes to see Nika working a pair of glowsticks like no tomorrow. "Where did she get those?"
Her movements may not have been as fluid as Kaz or Iara's were but Nika definately knew how to move. She looked back over to the little group and saw them all staring at her which made her blush a bit. "What's wrong with you guys?"

"What's wrong with you guys?" "What's wrong with us? What's wrong with you? You're the one being looked at." Laughing a bit, as he picked up his pace a bit.
"Why am I being looked at?" Nika looked around and saw otherslooking at her as well. This didn't help her blushing at all. "I'm just having fun. Isn't that why we're here?"

He laughed a bit more, a silky laugh, "Nothin' Nika. Don't worry about it." Iara matched his pace, he was impressed, not many do that, and fewer keep a rythem while doing it. He began to bend and twist in unusual ways, ways bones shouldn't allow a person to move. It almost looked like his joints had broken, yet it looked natural when he did it, this was part of his fluidness: his joints had no limits.

Iara watched him far more than impressed. As the beat changed again her movements became more serpentine than ever. She slowed down to the music so that the moves were exhagerated and intricate.
