The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Kage turned his head, looking at tric's hand. " You know that my body is still emiting heat, and what makes you think that I'll listen to you? I'm not one of your students, and I have gotten little help since I went to the mansion. " He unwrapped his left arm, showing the increased size or his left forearm and hand, which was now clawed, and covered inthough, emerald green scales. " If I had gotten help, then maybe this would not have happened, and the burning would not be happening to my right arm. " He grabbed hold of Tric's hand and took it off him. He then turned to the boys. " So, you like to try and take control of other people's free will? That's far worse than anything I have even done. That's worse than killing someone, taking control of there will. " His left hand began to glow, as heat started to emit from it, the scales turning a hellfire crimson red. He shook his head in disapproval. " Pathetic. " Kage said as his eyes flashed a blood red.
"Kage quit it!! I can't help it that we haven't found a way to help you yet. It's not like you made yourself very available anyway..." *she looked back to the two students.* "We need to go before that idiot calls the police or something. Let's go..."
Though Mike's eyes flared up again at Kage's tone, particularly the 'pathetic' part, he seemed to deflate again as Tricity spoke.
"For whatever else it's worth, he won't be calling them. I can guarantee it. But yeah... let's go." He didn't offer the least resistance as Tricity steered him toward the car.
Kage opened his left hand, having a kinetic fireball in his left palm. He sighed, and closed his hands together, snuffing out the fireball. He walked past Tric, and stopped as he was next to her. " I'm pretty sure that I'm not a mutant, what with my arm and all. I think i need some help to figure out what exactly I am. " His tone was completely emotionless.
"Well I'll have the DocProf look at you and then set up an appointment with Charles as well." *tricity told him confidentially as they got in the car and left for the mansion.*
