The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

*It is the next day, late evening and Delphi and Dr. VanDeKamp are going over their notes on the disection of the circulatory system. They are both really puzzled, neither has found conclusive evidence of what caused the heart failure.* Ok, I don't get it, over fifty years her heart beats fine now suddenly they give up on a non stressful day?
"I'm telling you... It's going to have to do with her medication." He says, as they finally mannage to get one of the hearts out, and a good portion of it's particular attached circulatory system. "You're over thinking this."
I know she just went on that new medication, but there is no history of it ever affecting a heart. None what so ever. *Delphi says she got out the FDA work on the drugs, with no mention of heart complications.*
The heart arrhythmia is easily explained by the multiple hearts, in which case there was no problems with her heart aside from the mutation. *Delphi says and then pauses.* Wait-
At that moment a carrier from the blood lab arrives. "Delivery for Dr. VanDeKamp?"
"Right here." He says, raising a hand, and signing for the package. Without missing a beat, he goes on, "Yes, the multiple hearts would explain the arrhythmia. And... if you've been retaining anything from your basic med classes... what happens to a normal heart when put on arrhythmia medication?" he opens the package.
I am just saying I don't think this is what caused it, and my feelings are rarely wrong, something else was wrong. *Delphi says insisting on it. As she walks over to the light board and flips it on so they can put the straight results on it.*
Hey what is up with these two counts I've never seen them on any of the blood screenings I've seen before. Oh wait this must be the x-gene in DNA . . . wow I've never seen that before, so what is this other spike indicator? *Delphi asks pointing to two seperate parts of the graph at about the same height.*
Ha, ha ha. Well, this is going to be the stuff I can write my thesis on and you can win a nobel prize in medicine. *Delphi says helpfully.* Of course we'll be spending a long ass time working on this also. *Delphi also says as she walks up to the graphs.* Hey the X-gene and this other thing are almost identical in spike size. The same exact count probably.
You think it is from the mutation, maybe we could prepare a slide and get a look at it our selves. I know it isn't normal, but this is a special case. *Delphi points out, last semester she took the phlebotomy courses so she would very much like some more hands on practice.*
