"Being a mutant does not mean that your wife was any sort of degenerate, Mr.Halsey. Tell me- we're still waiting for her former physician to send over some records- Was your wife ever diagnosed with arrhythmia palpitations, or heart murmurs...?"

"Yes but what does that have to do with anything?" He asks.
This might get technical, would you like to come with me to the cafeteria for some thing to drink? *Delphi asks the daughter, politely talking her aside while she gives Dr. VanDeKamp a look that says 'I found a way in.'*

"Uh- I'm not really thirsty-"
"Why don't you go get a drink with Ms. Starling. We're not going to be going anywhere." Dr. VanDeKamp suggests.

"Uhh, dad?"
"Go ahead honey, I need to talk to this doctor, for a bit."
If you just follow me, we can let the two of them get into it. *Delphi says, leading the way. After a few mintues of silence Delphi breaks the ice.* So, this must be a bit of a shock to you?

Oh so you knew your mother was a mutant? Your father doesn't seem to have known. *Delphi says, slowing down conspiratorly, she is acting very intrested.*

But you had your thoughts, so what happened to make you think that? *Delphi asks, carefully.*

Clarissa looks up. "Your hair is showing." She says, reaching over and twirling a stray curly hair that's gotten loose. "...What made you guys think that. I mean- besides whatever test you run to see if someone's x-gene positive."

We don't run any tests. Your mother kinda has two extra hearts. *Delphi say quietly. She takes off her hat and retucks everything back in.* But that isn't obvious unlike other aspects of mutation.

"Two extra hearts? Woah... That's... yeah." Clarissa is feeling a little bit vulnerable, due to having to readdress the death of her mother, which she thought was behind her.

I know this seems bad. With having your mother's death becoming an issue again. I am sorry about that. *Delphi says and lets that hang in the air for a little bit.* Can I ask what made you think your mother might be a mutant?

Ahh, do you mind me asking what made you assuming it was your mother's 1/2 of the genetics, was to blame. *Delphi asks carefully.*
