The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Gina had never been grounded before in her life, and the whole "grounding" business was, quite frankly, crap. Then again, suspension didn't seem quite as terrible in a school that was residential. It just didn't work. No, instead she'd been restricted to the Mansion Grounds for God-knew-how-long, unallowed to participate in the fun, extracurricular activities around campus. All that she was permitted to do was attend classes, really.
Gina looked out the window of her room, hands clasped behind her back. All she had to do was throw open the window, go for a quick fly, then come back. After all, it wasn't as though Miss Quinn would know that she had gone out. But no, her virtue told her that, if she'd done that, she'd feel very, very guilty, which Miss Quinn would pick up on, and then be very suspicious of. Nope, Gina was stuck. But she had to do something, something to remind her that there was still a world out there. Her stomach growled obnoxiously, and an idea struck her. Gina grabbed her cell phone and her wallet, casting a parting glance towards her roommate. She slipped out the door and into the hall.
Once in the darkened hallway, she stole quietly down the hall, following the familiar path towards the kitchen. They sometimes had pizza nights, and there was a menu posted on the fridge. And, you know what? Pizza sounded freaking delicious right about now. Gina crossed the threshold of the kitchen and darted towards the fridge, reading the menu eagerly. She didn't want much, maybe a vegetarian pizza, small?
She punched the number into her cell phone and held it to her ear. The phone rang once...
She looked at the menu, and it looked a little old and worn. Hopefully they were still open, and that the hours on the menu were still accurate. Gina'd be really bummed if they were closed. And really hungry. The phone rang a second time, and Gina began to have doubts. Then, the other end of the line clicked, as though someone were answering the call. Yes!

Joe was in the back of the store, finishing up the dishes when the phone rang, quickly answered by the owner. Great, five minutes before close, and he answers the freaking phone. What a stooge. This was not uncommon and always happened right after Joe was done washing the pizza cutter. It wasn’t a big deal; it was just one of those small things that managed to disrupt Joe’s mental sanity.
This was followed by a short conversation about some fancy mansion or school place that hadn’t ordered in months, the boss accusing them of having been ordering Dominoes (A sin punishable by crucifixion) and then explaining that if Joe managed to provide good enough service that the store received another order from this address within two weeks, Joe would receive a $50 bonus for renewing customer loyalty with a potentially valuable customer. This was all more or less irrelevant to Joe; it was still only one small pizza to a student, which most likely meant a small tip.
Less than 10 minutes later the store was shut down and Joe had his own pizza and the customers pizza in the truck, he was just going to drop off the pizza on his way home, then drink beer and watch “The Daily Show.”
The mansion wasn’t far from the store, less than 15 minutes. Joe parked his six wheel drive truck at the curb and shut off the rumbling engine, then reached for his phone. I really need to get around to putting a 12 volt phone charger in this truck, Im so done with dead batteries! This was also not uncommon, Joe never could make it through a closing shift with only one charge, yet the charger had never made it high enough on his priority list.
Joe climbed down and grabbed the pizza and walked towards the gate, not sure exactly how he would find his customer. Joe failed to notice (Also didnt look very hard) any communications equipment on the gate, so instead climbed over gracefully.
EDIT: I changed a few things about my approach to the mansion. If this doesnt match somehow to the mansion grounds, please inform me.

Once she'd made the order, Gina slipped out the kitchen and down the hall. Rather than opting for the main entrance, she chose one of the side ones, as she assumed that the main entrance would be more heavily surveiled. Gina stepped outside, into the cool night air. It sent chills down her spine and pleaded her to take a flight, just a short, harmless flight. No, not tonight. Tonight was pizza night.
Gina kept to the side of building, where no one but those on the first floor would be able to spy her. Once around the edge of the building, she followed the road towards the treeline and fence encompassing the property. That pizza was going to taste so good-- maybe, if she got lucky, the delivery boy would freak out when he saw her, and then she'd get the pizza for free! Free pizza always tasted so much better than pizza that was purchased legitimately.
Just as she came within proximity of the treeline, right as the gate that led outside came into view, she spied a man ambling gracefully over the fence, wielding a rather large parcel. She assumed this to be the pizza guy, but was alarmed to find him climbing the fence. She smiled, slowing the pace of the approach. Now came the moment of truth-- was this a brave man, or would she be recieving free pizza this evening?
"I could have opened the gate for you," she spoke with an amused tone, her voice cutting into the cool night air. With a toothy smile, she inquired, "You the pizza guy?"

Joe's black combat boots made a nice slush sound as he landed on the soft grass covered ground. His work shirt was a black button down with the company emblem above the left pocket, and his name tag on his right side, slightly crooked and reading “The Joe”, the word "The" obviously added in after the fact in sharpie. As Joe checked to make sure his shirt was still properly tucked into his pants he spoke casually. “Ya, Im sorry about jumping the gate, my cell battery-” Joe stopped suddenly as he lays eyes upon the young mutant, and her Tail.
Two powerful forces existed in Joe’s mind at this moment. Joe had been doing customer service off and on since he turned 16, and he considered himself not only to be a professional, but the single best Pizza Man in history.
That in mind, Joe had never seen a mutant before.
Of course he had seen one on TV, and while he was in the military he had spent 3 days in an anti mutant class, but it described terrible scary and un-imaginable creatures, and basically taught you to never let off the trigger, do not hesitate to use the anti tank round, ect. Maybe there was a few times a nearby person under a hood had been a mutant, but Joe just really didn’t feel it affected his life. Not until this moment.
Joe did have some fear, but more than that it was a fascination. This girl didn’t look scary; she looked like a young girl. The military had not prepared Joe for an innocent looking girl with a tail. Joe stammered slightly as he spoke, doing his best to keep his smile up and not to stare at the fascinating tail. “You, well…” Joe looked down at his boots, then dismissed a silly thought that sounded something like, God, I wish I had a tail… which brought a smile to his face, his composure quickly returning. “You must Gina, and yes, Im Joe. You ordered the Veggie Supreme?”

Gina smirked at the guy's expression when he finally finsihed making sure that his clothes were in order, finally lifting his gaze towards her. He had the look-- the "Oh-My-God, What-Am-I-Looking-At?" look. He stood there, stock-still, as if debating as to whether or not he'd run and drop the pizza, or do what he was trained to do. Oh please, Gina prayed in her mind, Gina really wants a free pizza. She fluttered her wings, putting one hand on her hip as she waited for the pizza guys' eyes to connect with his brain.
"You, well… You must be Gina, and yes, I'm Joe. You ordered the Veggie Supreme?"
"Joe," Gina smiled, reiterating the name to herself. He seemed to have gather his wits, which was a pity, "Yep, that would be me-- how much do I owe you?" She rifled into her back pocket, searching for her wallet, but all that her hands found was her cell phone. Crap.
She tried another pocket on her shorts, and then tried the pockets on her coat. Perhaps her desire for a free pizza had really been her subconcious, alerting her of the fact that she'd somehow dropped her wallet on her way out the door. She had been so focused on sneaking out to get the pizza, she'd managed to lose her wallet.
"Oh, this is so embarrassing," Gina complained, casting the guy an apologetic look, "I-I dropped my wallet on my way out here." She looked back towards the mansion, and then back at him. It would easier to just leave him outside, but if Joe didn't trust her-- which made perfect sense-- then she'd have to take him with. What were the rules about bringing humans into the Mansion?
"I'm sorry," she said quickly, "I feel like such a moron, but I dropped my wallet on the way out. Would you like to, uh, come with me while I, uh, retrace my steps?"

Joe had been robbed by a customer before. The customer had threatened Joe's life over $40, and that's when Joe started carrying his revolver. This was why the idea of going into the building raised a few red flags. On one hand, there were strict policies about going into the building with a customer. That being said, Joe didn’t care much for policy, and he had also decided that if this young woman did decide to lay down some hurt, it wouldn’t matter much where they were at.
More importantly, Joe was very curious.
“Well, you’re my last customer of the night; I suppose I can take the time. Your total was something like $12.72.” Joe said as he handed her the pizza. “You should know, I am missing The Daily show, which means you owe me one now.” Joe flashed his smile in a joking fashion, interested to see the reaction. Who hasn’t wanted to be owed a small favor from the cute little Boogey man/woman/mutant?
Joe folded the pizza bag in half and carried it in his left hand as he fallowed Gina, not even slightly prepared for what lie inside those walls.
I think this takes the cake for most interesting delivery I have done so far...

(Ooc: I feel compelled to bring the security measures up in this situation. Hope y'all don't mind)
This was Streak's first time back on duty since he'd returned and had his little meeting with Sam. He was ready and rearing to go. His security checks had been completed early and now he was ready to just chill and read his book. It was a good one. It had to do with pirates and battles. Old shook stuff. How come people don't carry swords anymore? They're so cool. Streak thought as he read. Just then his alarms started to go off. "Now what have we go here? Some idiot on a dare? Nope he's carrying something." Streak zoomed in and noticed it was a pizza box.
The silvermancer hit the lights. The spot lights flooded the grounds with light. He was out the door in a flash and headed down to the gate. He arrived just in time to see one of the students... Who he thought was named Gina or Geene... Something like that. He'd read her file along with quite a few others not to long ago. It always helped to know the students you were protecting. The girl was inviting the man in.
Streak got a good view of the mans name tag, Joe, thanks to the lights and made sure he was visible to them. He also knew that Gina was grounded and was making sure that she wasn't leaving. "Not leaving are you Gina?" Streak said making his voice and presence known.

Gina stuck her tongue out at Joe, as if to say, I don't owe you anaything but the pizza money. He trailed behind her as she marched slowly back up the hill. She kept her eyes trained on the grass, keeping a lookout for her rainbow, checkerboard wallet. It would be easier if she'd dropped it outside, then she wouldn't have to deal with sneaking around the Mansion with some human pizza boy.
Suddenly, the spotlights hit the grounds and headed towards the gates, pointing accusingly at the young gargoyle. "Oh, come on..." Gina growled. Her desire for pizza had led her to completely forget about the security measures that guarded the grounds. Stupid... stupid... stupid...
"Not leaving are you Gina?" a familiar voice inquired. Gina turned, frowning-- she'd know that voice anywhere. It was Shawn the security guy. All the Mansion kids knew he was. And, apparently, he knew who all of them were, because he knew who she was. He also probably knew that she was grounded.
"Shaaaawn," Gina whined, gesturing at Joe with an open hand, "I just wanted some pizza, but then I dropped my wallet-" she paused, to answer Shawn's question, "-If I was sneaking out, I would've flown off of campus." She glanced towards Joe apologetically, "Please don't tell Miss Quinn? Please? She didn't say anything about ordering pizza..." Begging wasn't really her style, but she really, really wanted some pizza. And, God save the man who got in-between a woman and her cravings.

(I was wondering if security may step in, lol, and welcome to the thread!)
Joe fallowed his new, slightly odd friend towards the mansion, when something discerning happened. Spotlights across the entire grounds came on, and moments later another man who looked almost exactly the same age as Joe appeared. The odd thing was that even with the lights from behind the other man, Joe was pretty sure he saw silver eyes. This newcomer was also significantly more threatening in appearance than Gina, and Joe was considering just calling this delivery a loss and giving the young woman her pizza.
As Joe contemplated this conundrum Gina address the newcomer as “Shaaawn”, and Joe decided the best thing he could do was stand in silence, and contemplate how his life had gotten to this strange evening, and considering a new career.
What was this place?! Why the security, what was a mutant doing in such a secure ground? Was this a training camp? Military base? Was Joe simply high, or simply dead?

Streak smiled. He didn't have to tell anyone anything. It was amusing in and of itself to catch kids. She was right. She did have wings and it would've been easier to fly off than to order pizza and just not come back after walking out the front gate to get it from the delivery guy. "Well, I suppose Miss Quinn didn't say that you couldn't have pizza. Well come on let's get inside." He wasn't going to deny her the pizza and for now this guy was smart enough to not say anything.
The silvermancer then turned to the idiot who decided to climb the wall and said, "You do know that there's a door bell by the gate right?” He pointed his thumb back in the direction of the gate as he said it. Streak didn’t really care what the dudes answer was. He wasn’t mad at him, and his tone was not accusatory. He tried to be as nonthreatening as possible, though he wasn’t sure how well that was working considering the entrance that he made. These two had just better be glad that some of the other security measure weren’t on at the time.
”Well come on…inside. You too…Joe. If you want to get paid, that is.” Streak said trying to usher them inside. He was determined to get Gina inside before Miss Quinn grounded him.

The poor pizza guy looked like a deer in the headlights... err, spotlights. Throughout the interaction between Gina and Shawn, he had remained stonily silent. Shawn smiled one of those Shawn-smiles as Gina explained the situation to him. He agreed, and Gina did a jump with a shout of, "Yes!" She was going to have pizza tonight. She went ahead tf the two men, half-skipping and half-running back towards the door.
She jogged up the steps, and pushed open the door. She was hungering for pizza, and it was going to be a bummer if she didn't get it for lack of money. Plus that, but it was her intent to get Joe back to... whatever show it was that he was missing. Gina held the door open for Shawn and Joe, gazing down the hall. A small, anomolous black lump sat a good distance up the hall.
"H-hey! I think I see it!" Gina declared, "Man, that's almost by the kitchen." As the guys crossed the threshold, she took off towards what she presumed to be her wallet.

Streak walked in and waited for Joe to enter as Gina decided to dash past him and to what she thought was her wallet. Shawn leaned back a little to avoid getting smacked by her tail as she passed by. Streak decided it was probably best to get some information out of Joe, without pushing too hard that is. He closed the door once all three had entered. ”Kids…” Streak said rolling his eyes at Gina’s eagerness. ”So Joe… I take it that this is your first time visiting our mansion, right?” Streak asked the man. Anyone else that had visited the mansion would have known better than to try and climb over.
Even though they were now out of the spotlights Shawn’s silver eyes were still visible even in the dim light of the mansion’s hallway. This time of night there was really only some ambient light that shown through the windows and the stray lamp that was left on here and there. Most of the kids had gone to sleep, or had at least retreated to their rooms. There really wasn’t a curfew but there always seemed to be an unwritten understanding of what time everyone should start to be quieter.
