The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Cassiel sat at the head of the table, Tricity's usual seat, going over the mission notes as he waited for the others to get there. The same notes were sitting at each X-Man's seat.

Daria entered wit hehr laptop tucked under her arm. Riruki followed her doll tucked in her arms. Daria sat down across from Mike and Riruki sat next to her.
OOC: Tricity said I could help defend the mansion.
Jaguar walked into the War Room. Although he wasn't an X-man, his other self picked up the summons as it passed through him.
~So your not telling me what this is about~ ~No. Who's the hottie.~ ~No idea. And just so you know, Cassiel, sitting at the head of the table, is a telepathic.~ ~Oh.~
He sat down at one of the chairs. "Whats up. Is a mutant bird with ten arms and giant fireballs attacking us???"

Kaine was on his way to the gate to meet his sister when he heard cassiel voice in his head all xmen to the danger room. He knew this was the mision so he sent a quick text to jonathan at the security desk to let his sister in and to take her to kaines room.
Kaine turned to shadow and traveled through the mansion and down into the danger room turning into his normal form in the door way
"Cassiel, Wheres tricity? Is it the mission I want to go to the museum and help to get the stone! I will not stay here and take a back seat just cause of some shitty piece of stone in my arm Understood?" Kaine said in a agressive tone this was his chance to get rid of the stone and he wasn't going to chuck it away
More calmly kaine said "Im sorry for abruptness but this stone has plagued me for a whille and i dont want to chuck my chance away of getting rid of it,Ok? Again I apologise" Taking the seat to Cassiels right Kaine said "Im taking it that you will be heading the operation because of tricitys pregnacy?"
Daria shuddered slightly at the mention of the stone she had been trying hard not to think about it. Her back tingle a bit.
Riruki patted her shoulder. Desiree had disappeared and so she had no reason to be mean to the cat girl anymore. Hina, her doll rested on the table as she had willed it to be still throughout the meeting.
~You know, this is bull. Its not like you can really help out. You're like an emrgency x-man, you have no experience.~ Hina teased in her head. Riruki gritted her teeth. She would help in whatever way she could. She had been practicing, to the best of her ability, so that the probability of her attacks working would be higher. she hoped it would be enough.
"That'll be enough, Kaine," Michael commented idly, setting down the notes.
"Thank you for all coming quickly. I'll begin with the inconsequential details that we can fill any stragglers in on as they arrive. First, as some of you have guessed, I'm taking over for Tricity for the time being. As we all know, she's very late in her pregnancy, and right now a combination of that, the stress this all has caused, and some oddities about her powers has left her unable to continue for the time being. The Doc has assured me that she'll be perfectly fine in a few days, but she needs her rest right now. And unfortunately, we don't have the luxury of time to wait for her to get better."
"As you all know, the plan to obtain the red stone has been in place. The time has come to put it into action. We just received word from Whitmore that he will be taking the stone in two days. The fact that he told us this says one of two things to me... either he wants us to come try to stop him, or that he's lying. In either case, it's my oppinion that the best course of action is to beat him to the punch by taking it ourselves immediately. If there are any objections, the floor will be opened to them shortly."
"We will be split into two teams, one to defend the mansion from the very likely attempted attack that will come when we try to take the stone, and the other team to actually take the stone."
"Before we go over the mission specifics, are there any questions, comments, or concerns?"
Mike froze for a minute, a 'why me?' look crossing his face, before nodding. "If there is a problem, there will be other people on the site to handle it. NOT by killing you, please don't say that. Now, any OTHER concerns?"
Mike smiled slightly. "Unfortunately, no there's not. For what it's worth, I have a copy of your file, veteran or not, and have reviewed it. Don't worry about your actions as individuals, we'll be working as a team. Against an enemy like this, we have to."
He looked all around the room, his eyes settling on Riruki in the end. "I know that this seems much for some of you. Some of the people going on this mission aren't used to this, and some have never done this before. However, none of you would be going if you didn't have the potential to shine in a situation like this."
"Training is good, useful, and often necessary, but heroes aren't born from training. THey're born in the moment, they're born of necessity. When the time comes, you'll be fine, and we'll all be there to help you."
He looked around again, obviously asking for any other questions while they waited for others to arrive.
Daria whispered something in Riruki's ear that made the girl smile.
The cat girl then turned to Mike. "SO we're doing this tonight or something?" she asked acessing the wireless signal for the printer and printing out copies of the files of the mutants who might be whitmore's henchmen at the museum.
Mike nodded. "We're not going to play into his hand. If he expects us to come two days from now, we're not going then, we're going to go as soon as possible. And maybe, just maybe, we won't hit resistance from Whitmore."
