The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Tasean watched Andrew go in surprise. Tasean was quite ready to protect his office, but he sincerely wished that the people would just go away. The last thing he wanted was to bring the fight to them. He growled in frustration and pushed the desk further from the door and followed Andrew. Tasean definitely wasn't about to let Andrew fight for his office while he sat back and watched.
He approached the growing crowd more slowly than Andrew. Staring at the girl who named herself Aura and her every changing energy made weapons.
"Umm...me, I'm Tasean." he said from behind her when she asked if there were other mutants in the building. "I'm the one who started the Agency" he said.
Even though they were in the middle of what could be come a bloody mess, Tasean really needed that check to help out the Agency. He sincerely hoped this could end peacefully, or if not let the check come out in one piece.

The girl at his side was just as angry, or perhaps more so, than he was it seemed. She was tensed up for the fight and very nearly growling. Andrew tried to stay loose and able to react quickly. While she batted away a stone Andrew leaned to one side to allow another one pass by harmlessly. Andrew smirked at her words.
"The envious pigs that they are they probably couldn't help themselves."
It was the harshest he'd ever spoken of humans but at this particular point he was angry enough that it didn't matter to him. These humans were fools and filth. They would be treated as such. Andrew watched energy weaponry cycle through a number of forms and he envied her that versatility. Now wasn't the time for jealousy though so he put it aside.
"Pleasure to meet you Aura. I'm Andrew. I'm sure that Tasean will be glad to accept the check once the infestation has been dealt with."
As he was about to answer concerning the other mutant in the office Tasean's voice answered her. Andrew turned his head just enough to see the man and offer him a smile. It was somewhat cold but it was a smile. Then he turned back to the crowd and waited for the first of the fools to charge.
"Im glad to meet both of you, this program will be a boon our kind" she said though she never looked back at Tasean. Her eyes kept watch on the small mob. None of them seemed to have gun's and seemed like they would be easy to take out, but Aura also did not believe five dead was a good opening for the place. "Don't these insects realize i could kill them all on my own?" Aura asked rhetorically. Still she made no move to advance on them, her words had also seemed to be ignored by the mob.
"I do wish we could have met under better circumstances though" she said as the people seemed to be getting braver and Aura noticed a few more emerging from the stairwell. One got brave and rushed Aura and she swung her Aura hammer at the man, his blow landed and did nothing, Aura's hammer knocked him to the ground holding his side. Aura was sure she had broken the man's rib and was just hoping the shard did not go through something vital like a kidney.
"Foolish animal's" she said though she made no move to kill the wounded human, she also made no move to help him. " I was being kind, i could have killed him" she said loud enough for the crowd to here still hoping this would end with littile violence and as few police as possible. If they came then no matter what it would be hard fight down to the first floor. She needed a good way out of this place she realized.

Tasean looked at Aura in confusion. She spoke so nonchalantly about killing these protesters, and called them animals.
"Do I need a check that bad? This super Xena Warrior Princess seems a tad bit...crazy" Tasean thought to himself
"Yes...the atmosphere here has become a little too violent" Tasean replied to Aura. "It would've been nice to sit down over a cup of tea"
Tasean stepped forward, placing himself between Aura and Andrew and the human aggressors. He looked back to the two other mutants, a pleading look on his face. He really didn't want a fight to happen in this office, outside was fine, but up here in the office that he hadn't even finished paying for was out of the question. He really hoped that Aura could contain herself, and that his first mutant friend Andrew wouldn't have to fight. He turned to the human protesters, trying to give a genuine smile, but barely managing. He held his hands out to them like a supplicant as he spoke
"Look people. I don't want any trouble or any issues. I'm not even done paying for this place! I just want to help some people who could really use the help alright. There is no need...." Tasean was immediately cut off by two things.
The first was a human protester who yelled, "SHUT UP MUTANT SCUM AND LEAVE!"
The second was an apple sized rock that whizzed through the air and connected with Tasean's head, just above his right ear, sending him reeling to the ground, unconscious before his head met the tiled floor.

Andrew was pretty much enraged at that point in the proceedings. Though he said nothing he nodded and agreed with Aura. Tasean didn't deserve this kind of crap just for trying to help people and it infuriated him that they had gotten to him for even a second. Therefore when Tasean stepped forward to try and talk some sense into them he was uneasy. He was ready to pound some sense into their thick skulls one punch at a time. Waiting wasn't easy. However he'd wait and let Tasean speak because this was his office and he was his friend. His words were reasonable and fair. This crowd didn't care for reasonable and fair. They wanted blood and Andrew would be happy to give them their own.
Andrew saw the rock before it connected but he couldn't move fast enough. He tried to move, tried to protect Tasean from it. He watched as his new and exuberant friend hit the floor. That was all it took. Andrew surged forward. He was at the front of the crowd within moments. He didn't even pay attention to who his fist was impacting against. The mere act of expressing just how angry he was with violence was cathartic.
As far as fighting was concerned Andrew was only human. He hurt like one of them and could only take so much hurt before he couldn't continue. The crowd was large but largely unarmed and untrained for this sort of thing. Andrew knew how to throw a good punch, how to block, how to dodge. He used his lessons with Jorge to good effect here. Sure it wasn't exactly a good style for mob fighting but Andrew shrugged off what blows he could. It was a lot easier to do that with anger blinding him and keeping him from actually thinking.

Tasean saw the fight breakout. When the rock hit him, it seemed to jump start Tasean's ability. Tasean saw the rage in Andrew's eyes. He wanted to scream at Andrew to get away. There were just too many people in the mob now. He tried desperately to return to his body, but it was as if there was some kind of wall blocking him. All he could do was ride on waves of light, watching helplessly as the battle wore on.
He tried to scream as he saw some more protesters come up the stairs. He wished there was something, anything that he could do. He continue to try desperately to send his consciousness back into his body to no avail. And still Andrew and Aura continued to fight.
Aura lwt out a feral cry when Tasean was struck by the rock. Aura viewed a mutant being harmed by a human as a serious criminal act. Her Aura shielded her from the rain of blows of the now much more crowded room. Aura Swung Her Hammer, which landed with a loud crack on the shoulder of a human. Her Aura would only hold for so long even under a serious of weak of weak blowes. Aura was angry and showed it as she formed a dagger on her kneee and used it to stab a human in the stomach.
Aura tried her best to keep her mind calm, but looking again at the unmoving body of Tacean, forced any semblance of mercy Aura might have shown. The Hammer formed into a drill which Aura swung, and only clipped a stumbling human across the back of the head. Changing her mind Aura formed her drill into an Axe. Looking around she realized she had lost sight of Tacean. She did however see a rather large glass window.
Aura's axe only missed because of her rage,, instead of killing the thug, she had merely made it so he could now only count to two on his right hand. "Ansrew, , office guy?" she called out having a thought to see if they were alive, even as a man knocked her onto her back. For a moemnt Aura could see just how high up they were. Letting her Aura weapons flow back into her Aura. SHe regained her feet Swinging again, her Axe missed as the man fell back to avoid it. "A Pity when you find those of us who can fight!" she said to the humans in the room. "Crap" she moaned and then headed back into the fray.

In his current state of mind Andrew wanted to sneer at the people he was fighting. Yes they were hitting him. He acknowledged that much. However, glancing over at Aura he saw how the humans fared against her and wanted to laugh. It was ridiculous how easily she took them down with her powers. It was sheer folly to attack a place dedicated to mutants. These fools would have to learn that lesson. If he and Aura had to be the ones to teach it then so be it. Andrew heard Aura's shout.
"I'm fine Aura! These people are utterly useless in a fight. Tasean's out cold though and these idiots are going to pay for that."
Andrew would be bruised and worn out after the fight was over. Of that he was sure. However he didn't intend to let them stop him just yet. They had to learn not to hurt his friends. For him this wasn't anger at humans attacking a mutant, though it did play a part in it and Andrew was somewhat surprised at the vehemence of that part. No, this was because they'd hurt Tasean.

The leader of the mob did not know how everything got out of control, but he knew when. The moment that mutant who started this agency hit the floor cold. Then those other two mutants began attacking with a vengeance, and they were both scary in their own right. The girl was scary because of those pink weapons she could make, and she was an adept fighter who showed an obvious disdain for human life. The guy was scary because his emotions were raging, he was definitely taking this personal. But of the two, the mod leader was definitely more willing to fight the guy.
The mob leader began focusing all of his attention on Andrew, trying to subdue him, and possibly use him as a bargaining tool to make Aura stop fighting. He motioned for some of his followers to try and circle around Andrew, which was proving to be much easier said than done.
Then, he again noticed the young black man who was knocked out cold. He was lying very still, but he was definitely not dead. Perhaps he would make an easier target. he definitely couldn't fight back, and using his body as a bargaining chip might end this who fiasco before it resulted in some serious injuries, if not fatalities. All the mob leader wanted was for the mutants to leave the building, not all this. If he ever found who launched that rock, they would pay dearly. His business was just two floors down, and an all out war in the office would definitely effect sales, especially with mutants involved.
The mob leader began to inch his way to Tasean's prostrate body, just in enough time to see the t.v. news rush their way through the door at the stairs, camera's rolling taping the whole scene.
"Crap....." the mob leader said.
This was definitely not what he had intended to happen.
"Agreed, been harder not to kill these...insects then to knock em around" Aura said even as she delivered an Aura punch to a man's nose, breaking it. It was very hard not to simply ram a sword through his head and be done with him, or to teach him to fly, out the window. Aura entertained such indulgent thoughts tried to grab her from behind and did manage to get her hands behind her. Aura smiled as a blunt peice of her Aura slammed into the man's jaw from her head, making him let go quickly. The man looked ready to try aagin. Aura decided to see if this animal understood his position. "I prefer my hands and feet with my aura becuse they give me th most range but i can form it from any point on my body, i could have gutted you like a fish" she said witha alugh even as she formed a six inch spike from her stomach. The man turned and bolted. Aura would have to look into just how one gutted something like a fish some day.
Aura was grateful to all the gods today. A newscrew had come up the stair's but she was still out of view. SHe dropped her aura quickly and made for the room Tasean had come from. Hopefully he would not mind. Aura tried the handle and was even happier it was unlocked she slipped incide and quietly shut the door behind her. If Aura got on Tv again, aura was pretty sure the police would be hauling her to jail and worse, lori would be quite angry with her, both for having to break her out and for being in the spotlight at another bad situation.
Aura looked around the office for a place to hide further and found little, So Aura walked behind the desk and sat behind it on the floor, hoping the police would ahve no need to come in here. If they did they would have short careers. Aura would try her best to escape and at this height she was pretty sure the window was a last resort to avoid capture. Aura scatched at her wrists as she tried to here if anything was claming down.

Andrew was somewhat disturbed by the casual way Aura mentioned killing the humans. He wouldn't mention it or think on it just now but despite being angry with them he didn't want to kill them. Still, he was grateful for her aid. The fight would have been a lot harder without her. As it was he was starting to look worse for the wear. Try as he might he couldn't block or dodge everything. Even worse, he saw one of the guys in the group edging toward Tasean but Andrew couldn't break free from the group he was entangled with to do anything about it.
It was then that a couple of things happened. Aura backed out of the fight and disappeared into the office. Moments after she disappeared a news crew appeared on the scene to get coverage of what was happening. Andrew paid them little mind. With Aura out of the fight for whatever reason he needed to get back to Tasean's side to protect him. Abandoning all pretense of fighting Andrew hurled himself against the two people in his way.
Over all of this he could hear the reporter's commentary. It was dangerous for them to be this close to the mob. There was no telling what these people would do. Tasean was more important though and Andrew just barely struggled through a gap in the press of bodies. He was the only one standing between the mob and his prostrate friend now.

Things were really getting out of hand. The office was in shambles. That girl with the pink weapons had shaken everyone up and now she had disappeared. The guy was fighting hard to protect the other guy who was unconscious. And the female reporter from the news crew was getting all of this. And she was definitely a mutant lover, several times the mob leader had heard the phrase "Unwarranted attack on a defenseless mutant" used.
The mob leader looked around, maybe all this was enough to shut the agency down, and maybe not, but his involvement was over. He grabbed one of the younger boys of the mod by the collar, and threw him back away from the prostrate mutant before he could land a deadly kick.
"Idiot there is a news crew here! Let's get out of here!" he yelled before turning sharply on his heel and rushing out the door, trying to grab for the video camera from the cameraman on his way out but failing.
He rushed down the stairs, barreling past security coming up the stairs. One officer tried to stop him, but when the rest of the mob began running down the stairs the security guards were over run and forced back down.
Back in Tasean's office the new reported walked over to Tasean's body, placing her hands on his neck, checking for a pulse. She turned to her crew and demanded that someone call an ambulance immediately, and stop gawking. She then turned her attentions to Andrew,
"Are you alright?" she asked, genuinely concerned.

Through his mutant ability Tasean was watching all of this happen. If he could've he would have sighed in relief as the mod frantically made a retreat. As he continued to watch, his 'vision' became fuzzy. It was as if his mind was muffled some how, and he wasn't able to clearly interpret the scene through the light and brainwaves.
Then, as his ability began to rapidly fail, a pulsing pain began wracking his mind. Tasean's mind was finally beginning to re-enter his body and the pain from the blow was his usher. With one final snap he was completely in his body again and groaned in pain, unable to move much.

The group of fools were apparently more afraid of jail time than they were dedicated to teaching some mutant freaks a lesson. Moments after the reporter had showed up the mob of petty minded morons fled the scene. Andrew breathed a sigh of relief and let go of his fighting stance. The danger to Tasean had passed so the was no reason to keep fighting. He sat down on the floor beside his friend as the reporter checked Tasean for a pulse and called for an ambulance. At her question to him he looked up from Tasean with a grimace on his face.
"No. My friend is hurt and I just got a nasty reminder of how hateful people can be."
Andrew shook himself.
"I'm not hurt too badly, just some bruises. That's not very comforting right now though."
His gaze returned to the fallen black man. Andrew was tempted to muse on why it was always the ones with the best intentions that got the shaft when an unmistakable groan of pain passed his friend's lips. That was one less thing to worry about. At least he was alive and awake to feel that pain.

Tasean attempted to open his eyes, but as soon as he did, a pain shot through his head, and he immediately closed them. He groaned on more time, as he attempted to turn over on his back. He felt a hand arrest his progress and he called out weakly. "Andrew?"
"No this isn't Amdrew. You're friend is ok, though slightly worse for wear." a female voice said. The news reporter was still hovering near him, making sure that he was ok. "You shouldn't move too much until someone can get up here to check on you."
"Ugh...what happened?" Tasean asked. "And where is Andrew" his voice beginning to get apprehensive
