MRO is an intermediate to advanced writing level original character, original plot X-Men RPG. We've been open and active since October of 2005. Okay so I'm FINALLY posting the sign-up for this thread. So far in the other I've already seen a few official sign ups, so I will post your names here. If I missed anyone or go ahead and sign up here.
Plot: October 31, 2010, the grand Halloween celebration shall be held in Central Park. The place shall be a large gather and humans and mutants a like. The celebration will be held as a charity in which some of the proceeds will be donated to the New York Children's Hospital. This park has been sectioned off into several themed "zones" each with their own theme, rides, foods and entertainments. Unfortunately, the one of the city's prominent members of society, a Mr. Calvin G. Adams and his family are attending the function. Unfortunately their unhappy 11 year old daughter runs away during an argument that activates her abilities and "Blank Slates" everybody, wiping clean their personas. These people affect suddenly need something to fill the gaps so when they look at the costumes they are wearing, their personas are replaced by whatever trivial knowledge they know are connected with their costumes, as well as cause them to hallucinate that certain attractions in the park are indeed monsters and hellish beasts.
Now a handful of these costumes individuals, led by a couple of unaffected people, but seek out a way to reverse this before people manage to escape the park and never return to who they are.
Anyways, this plot will be split into two threads, each with it's own group, in a separate area of the park, and it's own "Boss" that the heroes must defeat or just get around, that way the story can move faster and we all won't still be writing about Halloween during December. Once we get to the end, I will make a third thread to reunite everyone (or at least the handful that wants to defeat the last obstacle), and end our story.
And so people will know where things are going down, I have made a small map for fun.

Okay because of increased interest in this plot, I am going to post a few descriptions of the other zones. When the main sections get to Central Park, they can break off if they please and just start a new thread under the same title "Terror-Fest: (Insert Zone Name Here)" that way groups can wander of with who they way and the story can just branch off further from there if you choose! So I will post these descriptions, but there are minimal, please add or ignore what you please. You can even create the "Boss" for the zones you start if you like, I'm cool with that. Enjoy!
ZONES: Dr. Moreau's Creature Zoo This zone takes place in the Central Park Zoo and Children's Zoo. The more dangerous animals have been put to bed, so park goers won't have to fear being attacked. Any empty cages will have people dressed up as animal hybrids, mutants, etc. and there would definitely be some of these characters running around in order to leap out and scare people.
Cavern on the Spleen This area emcompasses the restuarant, Tavern on the Green, and the surrounding area. This area is pretty much just the restuarnt but it has been bought for the night to look like its haunted. People leap out dressed as cannibals and ghouls. And there is supposed to be a demonic chef or two there looking for people to cook.
Devil's Lost Playground In this zone, there will be more of a hellish appearance when compared to the others. Lots of jagged stones (styrafoam) litter the area. Actors dressed as devils like to leap out and startle people, there are fake torture devices, etc, etc. In this area, the place would be more phyiscal, lots of places to climb, run about.
Horror Movie Mayhem This last zone will pretty much bring all the horror characters from movies to life. People running around dressed as Leatherface, or Jason, or Freddy Kreuger, etc. There are a couple of sets from the movies laid about.
As in the other two I first posted, all these zones will have refreshments and rides, etc. to keep party goers happy. Hope this works for you all! Excited!
Also, the threads in Zombie-ville and Madness Carnival are just starting, Locke. So you can start your post being in Central Park already and bumping into one of the groups.

Umm...can I join? I'm sorry I didn't notice this thread sooner. I've been busy just trying to get posts out there and haven't looked around much. Besides, I think Henri would make a cute Sally ragdoll from the Nightmare Before Christmas. Hehe
