The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

> “Ya I can fly this.” Was all she needed to hear.
She did as much as she could with the tarp before she flung herself into the open jet door. It sealed behind her and she scrabbled into a seat. Something pinged against the exterior of the plane. Were they... shooting at them? She was going to have to have serious words.
Her tired hands fumbled with whatever seatbelt system there was. "Go!"

Streak made sure that Lori was inside the plane and that the door was closed. As soon as it was he flipped some switches and pushed on the throttle. The engines lifted them directly off the roof of the building. When they started moving vertically he heard some pinging off the exterior of the plane. "I think they're shooting at us." He said. He wasn't completely sure but that's surely what it sounded like.
Once they were high enough the engines rotated to face backwards. Shawn gave the planes engines some throttle and they shot off away from the building and high into the air above the clouds. "And... Gone." Streak announced as they flew quickly through the air. At the moment they weren't exactly heading back to the mansion, he was just trying to get them away from that place where they wouldn't get attacked or followed in case those people had their own planes or helicopters they could use to follow the two escapees.
After about a minute of flying Streak turned the plane and entered in a course for the mansion. Streak flipped the auto pilot on and relaxed for a while before he would have to take over and land the plane inside the mansion.
After all the exertion, all the power expenditure and all the strain, Lori sat still in her seat. It didn't take long for her to start to nod off. Her body desperately wanted to go into homeostasis and generate enough power to help her get going.
Eventually, her head lolled forward, her hair hanging in straight curtains from the sides of her head. She was totally out of it. Asleep. If they landed on the Queen of England amidst a full orchestra blaring show tunes, she probably wouldn't wake up. Not until she'd generated enough energy in her reservoir.

The adrenaline was draining out of him as the plane flew through the air. He looked over to see if Lori was admiring the view but she was fast asleep. From the looks of it, it didn't look like she would be waking up any time soon. He was beginning to feel sleepy as well, and hoped that they would get to the mansion soon, because if they didn’t they would probably just continue to fly until one of them woke up. Thankfully, just before his eyes closed he saw the mansion come into view just over the horizon.
Without trying to wake Lori, he slowed the jet down and started their approach to the mansion. As they got closer he input the code and the ground opened up under them. Shawn maneuvered the jet into position and lowered it back into the hangar. Once they were inside the hangar Streak cut the engines and the ceiling closed over them leaving only the internal lights from the ceiling that illuminated the jet. Streak opened the door and dragged himself and Lori out of the jet’s doors. He didn’t think he’d be able to carry her much farther than out of the jet. Besides, if there wasn’t someone that realized the jet had returned and there were two people practically unconscious on the floor of the X-jet room then he would have some serious words for quite a few people. As Streak stumbled onto the floor beneath the jet he fell to his knees and laid down with Lori next to him as he proceeded to fall asleep with lights illuminating his face.

It had been a few days since the mysterious disappearance with of the head of mansion security and a multi-million dollar jet. It was aggravating for the cyclopean ice manipulator to say the least. Not only could he not find the jet, which shouldn’t have been stolen so easily but the Streak as well. ‘How the hell did that happen?’ Sam asked himself over and over again. Security cameras weren’t able to answer where Streak was or who exactly took the jet all he was able to see was the general direction the Jet went.
‘Note to self maybe putting so many stealth options on the jet was a bad idea,’ thought Sam as he placed the phone down on the security desk where he was looking at a few dozen screens. The mansion for the most part had been on lock down, if someone like Streak could be removed so easily from the mansion without so much of a struggle then… he didn’t want to think about it, no one else would go missing these kids were his responsibility and there was no way whoever took Streak and the Jet would take anyone else. He even had a few police officers patrolling the grounds for him (upon request of a few personal favors).
Taking another sip of the coffee Sam looked to at the screens for the hundredth time, ”Play it again!” Sam yelled at Jimmy not caring that all the footage they had was next to useless at best. “Sam we looked over them over and over again, there was nothing on‘em, the jet’s signal is being jammed and Streak isn’t responding to his communicator. I think we should come up with a new strategy…” Sam slammed his half empty cup of coffee into a nearby wastebasket, he was mad and it was obvious and he didn’t feel like hiding it. ”Look for them again!” Sam ordered as he exited the room and slammed the door behind him.
Stomping down the hallway he was ready to lose it, never before had he been so frustrated with the job, he was ready to snap and the next person who crossed his path… his earpiece clicked on and he heard Jimmy’s voice, “Sam…. Get to the hanger…. Someone is pulling up with the jet!”
Before Jimmy could even finish the sentence Sam was already running a dead sprint to the hanger where the Jet should always be, hell if it wasn’t for the communications being shot between the jet and Streak he would have been under the impression that Streak took it for a joy ride, even if that wasn’t something he would do.
Two minutes passed and Doc was already meeting him at the entrance of the hanger, someone was going to need the doc, weather they were injured already or because Sam was personally going to law down the law. Running down the stairs two at a time he reached the jet before the Doc did and he froze for a second realizing who was at the base of the entrance of the jet.
”Cheerleader?” Sam asked surprised recognoing the blonde from anywhere. He hadn’t seen her since Romania what was she doing here with Streak? ”Doc! Start healing here! I’ll get you all to the infirmary!”
Doc Prof scampered to best of his limping ability to the blonde first, as Sam had demanded. He slid his weathered hands on either side of her face and with the healing, he saw the circumstances of the injury.
Just do it. She said with more than a little derision in her voice. Doc Prof watched as a fist connected with the girl's face. That was it. A knee bounced off of a step. A scratch from brushing too close through a door. She was mostly unharmed. Doc Prof used his rough thumb to wipe a bit of dried blood from her cheek before going to Shawn.
He'd had it quite a bit worse. And there was no way that he had talked back like the girl. They hadn't given him a chance. He'd been battered. And it even seemed that there had been an incident between the girl and Shawn. Something that triggered an electrical shock though she hadn't taken that damage...
Shawn's healing took quite a bit more time simply because he had more injury. "I think they're both exhausted. They both had bumps and bruises from some kind of escape." Though they could wake at anytime now that their physical wounds were healed, Lori would not wake until her reserves met a minimum level of charge.

He didn't know how long he'd been out. It couldn't have been too long because they were back in the mansion and he was actually in the infirmary. Streak's eyes fluttered open for a second before closing again. The lights were bright and he noticed that his headache was gone. Finally. He thought relieved that he was back in the mansion. He opened his eyes and realized where he was, He tried to sit up but he just didn't have the energy. "Lily?... Any one here?"
He looked around the infirmary and saw that Lori was there too. Doc Prof had apparently taken care of them both. Just like he always did. The Doc showed up just then and smiled at Shawn. "Welcome back. Ya know you were setting a personal record for length of absence from the infirmary, but I see you decided to forgo that and show up."
Streak smiled. It had been a while since he'd been put in the medical ward and Doc Prof had to take care of him. He hadn't missed it though talking with him made Shawn smile. "Ya I missed your warm personality." He said sarcastically. "Well, I'll let Sam know that you're awake." The young man laid his head back down on the pillow as Doc Prof left him to check on Lori an inform Sam.

It had been some time since both Streak and Cheerleader were placed into the infirmary and seeing as there was no immediate change Sam got impatient and went to go run diagnostics on the Jet making sure nothing was added, removed or damaged to the vessel. He wasn’t worried about them running out when they woke up Doc would stop them and notify him when they were up and moving, no what he was worried about for that immediate instance was where exactly they were all being held captive. Maybe the Jet could shine some light on that mystery.
Sitting in the cockpit he pressed a few buttons and started the diagnostic on the jet. A humming could be heard from the computer before him as the image of individual parts on the jet lit up in green meaning they were accounted for and not damaged. Before he could finish it however and then check where the jet was his ear piece clicked on and he heard Doc. ”Are they alright?” he asked. Nodding his head he added, ”On my way…”
Leaving the jet running and the now new and upgraded surveillance system fixed on the jet Sam headed to the infirmary questions already forming in his mind. If they couldn’t answer where they were the jet would most certainly have the information less it was tampered with.
Upon entering the infirmary he was stopped by Doc who informed him that for the moment the only one that was ‘ready to talk’ was Streak, which was fine with him. He wanted to give cheerleader a little bit of time so he could interrogate her properly which included getting her real name.
”How you feeling?” Sam asked in a tone-letting Streak know he had been in a foul mood for the past several days. It would take an idiot not to know if they had any idea on what actual had happened amongst the staff. He walked closer to the bed and lifted the clipboard that Doc left at the end of the bed stating his physical status. He was illiterate for the most part when it came to medical terminology but the check by Streak’s name let Sam relax a bit, ”You’ll live…” he paused and placed the clipboard down, ”Care to tell me what happened?” Sam asked in a tone-letting Streak know that it wasn’t really a request but more of an order. Sam needed answers.

"Well, I've been better. That's for sure." Streak said to Sam after he'd walked in. Sam wasn't in a good mood. Streak didn't need to be completely healthy to know that Sam wasn't in a good mood. He couldn't blame him. Shawn wouldn't be either if he had to deal with a main X-Men and also the Head of Security at the mansion had gone missing unexpectedly.
"I don't remember much." Streak replied to him. He thought back for a second. "It was during that tournament thing that was held. I was surveying the grounds and got a call saying some kid had snuck into the jet room. So I go down to check it out and then it goes blank. The next thing I know I'm waking up next to Lori there and we're trapped in some underground building." That was about all he knew or remembered from the experience. Aside from escaping; if it hadn't been for her he'd probably still be stuck there. He shrugged. There wasn't much more that he could tell Sam and it probably didn't really matter anyways. Even if he told Sam every detail he probably still wouldn't have been satisfied with the answers he got.

Lowering his eyebrow he looked from Streak laying in the infirmary bed to the cheerleader, a lot of things didn’t add up like how someone got the jump on Streak and then managed to take the X-Jet, the jet alone should have been impossible but Streak as well? The culprit would have had to have been exceptionally skilled at breaking through security… that or they had help…
”Lori?” Sam asked looking from Streak to the cheerleader lying in the bed next to them still out of the loop, ”Well I have a name now…” Sam said as he walked over to her bed and picked up her chart and wrote her name down. If that was her real name he finally had it. Sam smirked slightly finding it funny that the first time he got cheerleader’s name it was from someone else and not her.
He placed the chart back looked at ‘Lori’ once again then turned his attention back to Streak, ”Define goes blank, some one get the jump on you?” Sam asked curiously, ”Any reason why chee-Lori was in there with you?” Sam asked curiously wondering if the X-Jet had any more reliable information on to where they were taken. ”How about we go through the formalities and you tell me what happened while you were where ever you were, and how you both escaped.” Sam said as he walked over to a rolling chair of Doc’s grabbed it and rolled it back to the location between Streak’s and Lori’s bed and sat in it.
”Devil is in the details…” he said giving Streak his undivided attention.

Great Sam wanted details. He closed his eyes for a second, when he opened them he continued to wrack his brain for the answers. Some of the details were coming back to him. “Well, like I said… I was overseeing the tournament; Johnny was in the security room and called me. He said someone had phased into the jet’s area; which I thought was weird because I don’t think we had a phaser in the mansion at the time. So I went down there and someone was there… who was it?” Streak thought for a second about who it was that he’d seen down there. Then he remembered who it was. ”It was Alex. She was there… but she wasn’t alone. It was like she was being forced to help this guy out. So I was looking for this ‘kid’ when I was hit with some kind of dart that knocked me out.”
He stopped talking for a minute. He’d forgotten all about Alex being there. He hadn’t seen her wherever he was being held and he was too busy trying to get out to think about the fact that he hadn’t seen her. Streak couldn’t say if she was alive or not, unless she was here, and he didn’t know what could have happened to her if she wasn’t here. Shawn felt horrible, not just mentally but also physically now. He’d let the jet get stolen, let himself be kidnapped, and he’d let only God knows what happen to Alex. ”I dunno what she was doing in there. I don’t think she ever said.” Streak tried to remember if that had actually come up but he was drawing a blank. They’d been too busy trying to get out and messing with his powers that they didn’t seem to come across the topic of what she was doing there. Hopefully that helped out a little, but right now he was thinking that he wasn’t being very helpful.
Lori lay awake, but as still as she could. The sound of male voices had woken her and she'd come in part of the way through Streak's re-telling. This was what she'd been wanting to hear from Shawn as well. She could spin a tale as good as the next girl, she just needed to know what facts to start with.
Her toe twitched. Oh she was tired. But just try laying entirely still for any amount of time when you're awake. The body is meant to move, no matter how tired. Running on empty, Lori pulled on the already meager reservoir of electricity in her body. She'd regenerated some while sleeping, but her body never generated at a fast enough pace to keep her pool full. Active living took energy.
She took a deep breath and let it out as a sigh. Her eyes focused slowly on the unfamiliar ceiling above her.
Was this... the Mansion? She had been here before, but... not this part.
"S-Shawn?" She was really drained if her speech was a bit slurry. Maybe she would get the pity factor. Heh. Yeah. 'Cause that was just about all she had at the moment. And sitting up. She could manage that... probably.

Streak was about to continue talking about their imprisonment when he noticed the rustling over in the next bed. Pretty soon his name was called. “Ya I’m here Lori.” Shawn replied to her. Apparently she was awake and he knew that Sam would definitely want to talk to her next. There was one thing that he wasn’t quite sure of; and that was if Sam would want to continue this conversation now that Lori was awake. Although, since he was just going to be talking about what happened while they were captured it was probably better that they do it while she was awake and she could help Shawn fill in the details about what actually happened. He’d been a bit fuzzy on that whole part.
“Lori, I was just telling Sam here was happened. Care to jump in and tell him what happened?” He could only tell him what had happened since he’d woken up. And what he remembered of what happened after he’d woken up wasn’t that pleasant or that easy to remember. Of course Streak was also curious about how and why Lori was in that prison with him; especially since she didn't seem nearly as messed up as he’d been. He had to escape with a concussion and with having his brain basically electrocuted. Streak turned his attention back to Sam and said, ”Like I said… the rest is a bit fuzzy. But now that she’s awake she might be a bit more helpful than I could be.” Once again he knew that it was not exactly the answer Sam was looking for but it was probably going to be about all he was going to get. Except for a few pieces here and there he was going to have to rely on Lori for probably most of the rest of the information.
