Scars/ Tattoos/ Piercings: Jorge does carry a few scars from his years of less than legal activities, including a gunshot scar on his left shoulder, a couple of old knife wounds on his chest and right side under his armpit, and a vicious bite on his left leg's calf muscle where a very angry dog attacked him for attacking its owner.
Other features: A persistent stubble and simply refuses to be fully shaved away, always making him look gruff.
Everyday clothing style: For everyday use Jorge usually sticks high-end, finely tailored suits of various dark colors. He tends to prefer blacks, dark blues, and even some dark reds but these are only worn for special occasions when intimidation is a requirement.
Uniform:The only uniform that Jorge cares to wear are his suits as he is expected to be seen at his best at all times. However, when he needs to get his hands dirty, Jorge does remove his jacket and rolls up his sleeves. Being a proficient street fighter the man knows how to take a deliver a punch so doesn’t mind his clothes getting bloodied when they need to be.

Miscellaneous clothing: He keeps a silver crucifix his mother had given him when he 15 years old, with the word "protect" engraved in the back of it. One of his favorite things to wear his a brown leather jacket that he has had for years and refuses to replace. He has since had his favorite jacket lined with a thin layer of Kevlar to protect him at all times.
CharacterPersonality: Jorge is a hardened man with little to no interest in being played. He is always straight to the point and can be perceived as a little rude from time to time for doing such, but if he has a job to do, he will do what it takes to get done.
Hobbies/ Interests: Jorge's duty to mutants is his life. As the face of “Atlantis”, he participates in many community projects, especially those that are geared towards helping mutants. As for hobbies one of the things he loves best to do, whenever he is not working, is cooking as well as reading novels. Some of his favorites include, "Crime and Punishment" by Dostoevsky, "Jane Eyre" by Bronte, "Pride and Prejudice" by Austen, anything by H.G. Wells.
Job or part time job and description: Leader of the organized crime / mutant supremacy group called the Syndicate, and proprietor of the established night club known as “Atlantis”.
Fears/ phobias/ concerns: Jorge fears that all his “good” work will eventually be undone and that mutants will be taken over by humans and adapteds alike. He doesn’t want to see his own kind enslaved or wasting their time protecting humans, so he fights hard to keep his actions secret and yet beneficial towards mutant kind.
Special talents: Jorge is an excellent singer, cook, is skilled at marksmanship, and is bilingual.
MoralityGood/ bad/ neutral/ other: Lawful-Evil. Jorge believes what he is doing is the right path. After facing years of segregation and fear from others, he wants to do everything in his power to make sure that mutants get a fair shake in the world. However, this means that often times Jorge toes the line between what is legal and what
definitely isn’t legal. He has no problem with watching narcotics and crime fill the streets, so long as mutants are being cared for. It’s all about establishing the mutant foothold.

Pros for fighting style: Jorge can defend himself if need be and knows how to subdue an opponent.
Cons for fighting style: Grappling can be dangerous against someone who is just physically stronger than him and thus can put Jorge into a great deal of harm.
Weapon: Jorge carries a gold-plated Desert Eagle .50 that he keeps holstered inside of his jacket at all times, as well as a switchblade for close encounters. Also, since he has hands in a lot of illegal going-ons (
including gun-running) he has access to a variety of firearms and weapons.
History Of Your CharacterJorge used to be an average boy, living in Long Beach, CA, when a strange event changed his life forever. When he was 15, he was hanging out at the beach with his girlfriend whom he was deeply in love with, and at some ill advice from his friends, they all went swimming a little too far off from shore when she was pulled under thanks to a riptide. Panic stricken, Jorge tried desperately to get her back when, with a sudden thrust of his hands, he managed to repel the water away from him. Over and over he did this, until a miracle beheld the eyes of all the beach goers. Standing on the still moist, sandy ground, stood Jorge as he held his drowned girlfriend, with the ocean parted on both sides of him and a massive migraine erupting deep inside his head. He struggled up to the shore before finally collapsing, blood rushing down his nose from the massive amount of effort he put into repelling the water.
Jorge spend a month in the hospital in a coma from the tremendous strain he suffered. But it wasn’t long before news got out about this holy miracle, this child of God who had been nicknamed “Moses Incarnate”. Jorge found himself the center of attention, receiving all manner of messages ranging from prayers and blessings to death threats against him and his family. After he finally awoke from his coma, Jorge was gently nursed back to health, but not without hearing from his family about all the people who said he was a miracle child from God, and those that said he was the spawn of the devil. It was this attention that forced him and his family to leave California all together and attempt to forget the incident that had occurred. His family, deeply religious and fearing for their lives, fled to Florida and it is there that Jorge grew up, never once able to use his powers again. Days, months, then years passed by and "miracles" never happened again. Soon it became a joke around the family gatherings, that maybe he never did move the water, just maybe it was the tide going out or a trick of the eye! But Jorge knew the truth, secretly the power had never left him, it was only weak. It took most of his concentration to manipulate the water in a glass but through gradual practice, Jorge learned to gain a better control over it, though this was his secret he kept from the family.
Then, in 2007 the Mutant Registration act passed and all mutants had to official sign up their powers. Jorge, now with a good job, did not want to risk all this so he remained in hiding, keeping his powers a secret. He never practiced them in public and rarely did so in his own home. He had heard about the Internment Camps, the Bloody Breakout of 2008, and this did scare him. He could not risk being removed from his family. But a breath of relief was sighed when the Mutant Registration laws were overturned however the man knew then that something needed to change.
It started small enough. Jorge had a head for business and was being pushed by his parents to get into that field. Though he was brilliant when it came to balancing books and making the right decisions for whatever business he worked for, the man knew that he could do more if he stepped over the line of what was legal. He started with a few simple things, a glanced turned away from a drug here and “losing” an important piece of footage there. Over time Jorge started to run his own small network of criminals from Florida where he quickly earned the nickname, “Poseidon” thanks to the “Neptune Club” where he used to bounce. It wasn’t long after this that the man made enough money to buy the club and turn it into a successful business front for a lot of illicit activities. But Jorge of course had eyes on a bigger prize.
Though he had money and success, what the man wanted most was to do things for mutants. He did what he could with his Neptune Club (
offering safe havens and jobs to mutants) but he needed to be in the epicenter. Before long, Jorge migrated to New York where built small connections into a criminal underworld network known as the Syndicate. Drugs, prostitution, racketeering, the man has his fingers in a lot of pots and all of it has only provided him with more influence and power.
Now Jorge Cervantes is a business figurehead in New York city. His philanthropic work is known to the larger world, but to the smaller neighborhoods, they know him as Poseidon and he is a figure to be feared. However, he should only be feared by humans, mutants who are willing to willing to bury their judgements and keep secrets, are free to come to him to receive help, join his group, or just be given a second chance at life.
