The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

"But of course," Mike smirked, waving a hand and sending the croissant sailing across the room to her, landing on a plate about halfway there. "Seriously, though, you know I'll help whenever you want to get working on it. Like I said before... all one big family here, right?"
"I'd like to think so. Especially for purposes as building a nursery in an already occupied room." *She said smiling and taking a bite of croissant.* "So what's a neutral color for both the sexes? Yellow, right?"
"And green. Of course, you COULD just save the decorating and such until after you know if it's a boy or a girl. It's not like it'd take long, here at Xavier's, where the impossible happens every day."
*She smiled and nodded.* "True, but I want everything to be done now. Once I start a project, I just want to finish it since I have all these ideas in my head. And GREEN?? Isn't that for boys?? You aren't telling me the sex are you!?"
Mike quirked an eyebrow. "Seriously. I'm a telepath, not a freaking oracle. The only way I'd know if the baby was a boy or a girl is if someone else knew it... you know anyone who knows that? Although I'm flattered that you apparently think I'm omniscient..."
"Hey, the Doc knows and you and him talk a lot!" *Tricity finished the croissant and then drank more of her tea.* "I wanna go shopping for a few things also. I'll need to do furniture and baby stuff shopping since a baby shower is rather out of the question."
Mike smirked. "You have that little motherly glow when you start getting all cute about the baby. All the way to the astral plane."
He finished the last of his tea. "Well, let me know if there's anything you need. Grandpa loved kids, he would've wanted me to show off and buy it expensive furniture."
"Thanks. I'm just worried I'm gonna be pushin this baby out while you guys are off fighting Whitmore or some other crazy ass trying to ruin the world as always. Luckily, nothing too insane has happened around this way. I'm sure it must be worse in D.C. though. Political capitol of the country, plus New York is more accepting of every kind of person...most people don't flinch at something out of the ordinary." *She too finished her tea and stood up to stretch.*
"Well, let's hope the baby has a good sense of timing," Mike teased. "And I don't know what the deal was in DC. I mean... we weren't exactly in the best part of town, so politics don't really come into play." he shook his head. "My head hurts trying to wrap it around all of this. I think I'm going to go take a hint from Daria and lay down."
"Ok, hun. Thanks for keeping me company. I'll let you know when the shopping venture will be going on. I'll need the help, that's for sure." *She re-wrapped her robe around her and poured herself more tea.*
Dominic came into the kitchen, pulling open the refridgerator and tossing out some sandwich stuff for a midnight snack. His brother was still knocked out in their bedroom and Dominic made sure not to wake him as he climbed out of bed to get something to eat.
He dumped all the coldcuts on the island's counter and started building a huge sub sandwich. When that was completed, he grabbed a bag of Doritos and Cheetos and then a soda. Licking his fingers, he grabbed the remote control on the counter and turned on HBO to see if there were any good movies on.
