The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

*Tricity shook her head at him.* "Like I said...I don't want to know. As long as the two of you are alright. It's terrible what happened to Daria's cousin though. What was his mutation? How old was he?"
"Don't know how old he was, just that he was a big guy. He had gravity powers." He shook his head. "He held an entire swat team rooted to the ground with their guns hovering in the air. He just wasn't practiced enough... Couldn't keep it up."
He sighed, taking a sip of his tea. "It's my fault for letting it get that far, I suppose. I tried to reason with the police, see if we could talk our way out of it... I should've just gone full power and made them leave to begin with."
*Tricity put an arm around his shoulder.* "Hey, it's not your fault. It's no one's fault except the ignorant...meaning the police and whoever killed Daria's brother. Especially if he wasn't even being hostile." *She looked down at her watch.* "You should try and sleep. You can't use your mutation somehow to help you relax?"
Mike smiled slightly and shook his head. "I'll wear myself out sooner or later." He yawned, floating his cup over to the sink. "Of course, trying never hurt anyone either, I suppose."
"Well..." *She began, shrugging her shoulders.* "I wouldn't be too sure of that. Sleeping and some mutations don't work very well together. Maybe it wouldn't be such a good idea, then. You might wanna talk to the DocProf. I'm sure he can help you somehow. Hell, he gave Kaine tranqs to sleep because of his mutation."
Mike shook his head. "Nothing bad will happen... The only things I've ever had happen are picking up on some people's dreams. Well... there was one night that Daria and I ended up having the same dreams, but I'd be extremely surprised if that happened with anyone else."
*Tricity clamped her hands over her ears, shutting her eyes tight.* "I don't wanna hear about ANY dream you and Daria shared!!" *She said, laughing.* "I wish I could sleep through the night, but," *She lightly drummed on her stomach.* "It just aint happenin."
"Heh... I only WISH they were dreams like that." He quirked an eyebrow at her last comment, though. "I could help you with that, actually. Can't solve the underlying problem, of course, but I can tell your brain to just not notice it for a few hours."
*Tricity shrugged and looked over at him.* "I feel like that would be cheating. I should endure what every mother does, right?" *She said smiling and finishing her tea.* "The perks of parenthood I tell ya. Nothing like it!!"
"Possibly..." *She said smiling.* "Though, I can't wait til this baby is OUT! I have to start making a section of my room into a nursery. And you know what? I think you should help me out!"

(for the sake of player sanity i am assuming that the characters Mike and Tricity are still in the kitchen. Won't make much of a difference if you aren't but rave might seem a little crazy)
Ryudo found his way back downstairs easy enough but the kitchen proved to be a bit more elusive that he first had thought it would be. After wandering around for a good 15 minutes or so (and throughly aquainting himself with many of the first floor corridors) Ryudo managed to find the kitchen. He walked in and began raiding the fridge and pantry. In his haste, he hadn't noticed that Tricity as well as an unkown male were also in the kitchen with him till he saw there reflections in the microwave door. After he placed the ramen cup he had found in the microwave and set it to cooking he turned around.
"Hope i wasn't interrupting anything important. I'll be outta here in just a moment," he said feeling a little goofy for not having noticed them when he walked in. At that moment the microwave dinged to let him know that his food was ready and he grabbed it. "Aight then i am off to my room to eat this and then grab some sleep. Night."
Ryudo sketched a small bow and walked hurriedly out of the kitchen and made his back to his room.
*Tricity watched Rave walk off and shrugged with a smile to Mike.* "He's a new resident. His name is Rave...very into cars it seems. What was his mutation...um, oh, it's energy bursts that he can create and manipulate. Looks a lot like my mutation when I manipulate electricity in my hand."
Mike just shook his head. "Lots of new blood in the past few days, I've noticed. I'll have to start taking some of them down to the Danger Room so we can get a better idea of what they can do."
"Now, where were we. Ah, yes, I think you were beginning to try to take advantage of my 'one man furniture moving crew' ability?" he teased.
"Ah yes, yes...of course. Seriously though, I could definitely use the help. I would recruit my baby, but yea..." *She said, jokingly as she looked over to the bread bin.* "You mind passing me a croissant in there?"
