The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

[sorry sucky post, not much ideas for this x.x]
It was midday Emil was outside the mansion just enjoying the view while escaping the heat in the sanctum of a tree's shade. I was pretty warm now and Emi couldn't help but come out to relax. sitting pn the ground she stared at the sky, it was bright and cheerful today but Emi wasn't feeling so cheerful... She was easily getting depressed and it seemed more frequent than before... She didn't want to bother anyone in the mansion about it and she didn't want to go to the doctors only to find out she'd need to take medication... Thus she dealt with it herself and hoped it was just a small phase... And hopefully life would seem just a bit brighter for her...
The Trickster was in a particularly good mood today.
It happened to be a Gawain day, and a nice warm summer day at that. Gawain decided to take Angua for a walk, but the puppy refused, letting him know with an annoyed glare that she had no interest in leaving the cool room for the summer heat, no way, no how.
So, Sir Gawain let the puppy sleep (in his bed...), and went for a walk alone.
A girl was sitting under a tree. He stopped to check if it was anyone he new; but he didn't recognize her. She had an almost visible black cloud of bad mood hanging over her head, it didn't take a genious to see that. The trickster didn't like black clouds, familiar or otherwise.
Walking over to the girl, he plopped down in the shade next to her, keeping a polite distance. Mirroring her movements he looked up at the sky too. He gave her the chance to walk away, or start talking, or stay like that. It didn't really matter.

It took a few moments for her to realize that someone was next to her- the few seconds it took Emil to realize she managed to blink then glance at the boy beside her. Well that was new- most people didn't just come up and sit next to her... It was easy to tell that she didn't know how to handle this situation. "Um...? H-Hello?" The shadowmancer scouted away from the mirrorwalker giving herslef a suitable space between them.
It wasn't that she didn't like him- she really didn't know him and the poor girl wasn't that good at socializing... But that lead to the question not only who was he? But what did he want? "D-Do you need something sir?" She stuttered out wondering what the guy needed, hopefully she could figure out what was with this guy and then she could go back to her sulking- er.. thinking.
Gawain glanced at the girl and smiled, then turned back to looking at the sky.
"Hey."
>>"D-Do you need something sir?"
The young knight chuckled; people didn't call him 'sir' very often.
"Nah, not really." he shrugged, still smiling "And you can call me Gawain. I don't think I'm older than you."
He glanced at her again to see how he was doing. She inched away from him. Talk about being shy. Gawain smirked and looked up again; he didn't want to scare her by looking at her. Shy girls got scared so easily.

The shy shadowmancer tried to judge the new arrival's intentions by his voice but failed. Noticing that he made no movements she visibly relaxed. "T-That's a nice name- Gawain- it sounds like a knight." Emil tired to do small talk but found herself failing even more. Falling silent for a moment she averted her pale eyes before looking at him with slight surprise at his question. "Oh- um.. my name is Emil, but people call me Emi." She gave a small smile before frowning and looking away again. The chirping of the birds were heard through the hot summer air as Emil tried to think of something to say. "Um... nice day isn't it?" Mentally kicking herself she pondered why she asked such a trivial thing before finding herself trying to hid her embarrassment. Why couldn't these things ever be easy?!
>>"T-That's a nice name- Gawain- it sounds like a knight."
"Yup" the knight smiled. He really liked his name. And her name too. Mom was good with names. "Nephew of King Arthur, prince of Orkney." he chuckled. The little speech usually folloed his name on its own. He was used to it.
>>"Oh- um.. my name is Emil, but people call me Emi."
Gawain nodded, glancing at her again.
"That's a nice name too. And a rare one."
>>"Um... nice day isn't it?"
The knight chuckled again. Classic small talk. Nothing to be ashamed of.
"Yeah." he agreed lightly, lying down on his back with his hands behind his head "It doesn't really get any better than this." he smiled "Have you been here for long? In the school, I mean. Haven't seen you around..."

Emil surpressed a giggle at Gawain's announcement of his name- how cute. When he complimented her name however a blush flashed over her cheeks as she stuttered a thanks. "T-Thanks, um... I guess?" She spoke unsure- Emil was neutral about her name, sometimes she liked it and sometimes she didn't- but it was her name the name her parents gave her, so it was precious to her... But in the end it was just a name.
Nodding to his reply about the weather Emil relaxed a little bit more before reacting to his next question. "Well, I've been here for a few months but I'm usually out..." Finding the courage to look at Gawain she asked him the same question. "What about you Gawain, how long have you been here?" She wondered as she too had not met him before this encounter- it was odd, but she supposed it happened.
>>"What about you Gawain, how long have you been here?"
Gawain was silent for a while. He counted.
"Half a year, give or take. But I wander a lot." he added truthfully. When he was not in class (and he rarely ever was) he didn't really like just sitting around. If this girl was as shy as she looked, he could have spent months in the Mansion without meeting her.
"I used to live in Seattle, and then traveled across the continent and ended up here." he offered "An' I'm glad I did."
He glanced up at the girl again.
"What about you? Where are you from?"
It looked like Emi was more at ease with answering questions than just making small talk. So he asked.

Emil looked at Gawain with expressive eyes, that was allot of traveling! "Wow. That's amazing! I wish I traveled around America more..." She said with a wistful tone before answering his question. "I was born in Russia, I traveled from Moscow, Russia to Germany then to the United States. It took me a few years on my own but it was fun and worth the experiences." Emil said as she brightened up a little more. This was enjoyable!
>>"I was born in Russia, I traveled from Moscow, Russia to Germany then to the United States. It took me a few years on my own but it was fun and worth the experiences."
"Wow, that's quite a tour" Gawain smiled. The conversation was getting interesting faster than he'd expected. He rolled onto his side, propping himself up on one elbow. "I've never been outside the country." he confessed "I've been all over the place, but never crossed the border."
Russian, huh. Interesting, how many places people came to the school. Fascinating, really.
"Ya'll have to tell me more about Europe one day" he smiled at her "And if you wanna travel in the USA, I can help you with that. How does that sound?..."
Making a deal about something like that came easy to Gawain. He liked traveling anyway.

"Really?" questioned he female mutant as she looked at Gawain with an curious yet expression. "I would love to travel sometime, but how would we get there?" Emil asked the Knight as she slowly gained a worried look, it wouldn't be easy especially with her funds- for lack or better word... But still- It would be interesting and exciting!
>>"I would love to travel sometime, but how would we get there?"
Gawain grinned. That's more like it. The girl showed interest in the travel plans. Maybe deep inside she was more adventurous that she believed.
"Ain't about gettint somewhere" he explained "It's about wanderin', seein' new places, meetin' new people."
Or finding someone we already know...
"The fun part is, traveling really doesn' mean spending a lot of money. As for me... well, I walked here, most of the way." he shrugged with a smirk "Finding ways to travel is also part of the adventure. More so if ya're a mutant with some useful ability..."
He trailed off. He wasn't going to ask her about her powers; some people tended to be sensivite about it. If she wantedto, she would tell him anyway.

((Sorry for the wait, hectic few weeks x.x))
Emil smiled at Mirror's words finding them truthful as she nodded lightly. "I understand. Though my way of travel would be a little more unorthodox then a car or plane..."'Especially with Trust, it's like riding on a runaway rollercoaster' Emil thought exasperated thinking back at the time she actually tried it. And ended up with a quick trip to the Hospital with a concussion... Never again. Turning towards Gawain her lilac eyes held confusion and interest. "Um.. if you don't mind me asking Gawain? How DO you get around?"
>>"Um.. if you don't mind me asking Gawain? How DO you get around?"
Gawain grinned at the girl. She was starting to look like she wasn't going to run away any minute. That was some progress.
"I walk in mirrors." he explained "I, um, kinda teleport from on to the next. Still not as fast as a car or somethin', but definitely beats just walking around..."
>>"... my way of travel would be a little more unorthodox then a car or plane..."
That was interesting to hear. She either had discovered a new way of traveling, or she had a mutation that made it easier. Either way, Gawain was curious.

Emil blinked not expecting her question to come back to her! Blushing and finding herself a little more comfortable she dug her fingers into the grass though not out of anger or anything just a strange twitch. "Ah- Well..." 'Can I just show him? Do I trust him enough?' Mentally she felt a prod from none other than Loyalty! Mentally nodded she smiled. "Well I usually don't travel like this- but I did used to use this." Her shadow suddenly began to stretch out of her forming slowly a Blue and black dog thing with a lizard like tail, strange ears, a long prehensile tongue, and four cobalt blue eyes.
It turned it's head to it's summoner it's tongue twitching as though tasting the air. Getting up Emil shakily walked over to Trusty and pet it, as it squinted it's eyes pleased as it also wagged it's long tail. "This is one of my shadow titans- this is Loyalty or Trust- I like calling him Trusty." She smiled with pale lips. "He was my main attempt at transportation until we went to fast and I fell off and hit my head off the street..." She physically winced at the memory as she smiled shyly."You can come over and pet him, he's just like a big puppy~" Emil giggled as the titan let it's tongue lull about.
