The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Nightmares are dreams too ... only bad ones.(Aura)
"Interesting powers, it's always nice to see what other mutants can do, such a wonderful verity of powers exist and all so different from one another, i love seeing new ones" she said honestly. She often went out of her way to see new powers of mutants. The forest was now much more relaxing with all the dead bodies blood and vilence gone, this guy's powers were beautiful, but could also be an issue, he could learn things about people that were never meant to be shared.
"Simple you could learn your enemies secrets and use them against them or know whare they plan to move troops" she said though troop movement might not be what she needed and likely not this guy as well, his service in a militant faction or army coul be invaluable. SO you do this whenever you sleep? Ever mess with people?" she said having to wonder if he just pretended to be people from the past or dream characters.
He smirks "Yeah i could do that, but probabley onley for a good reason. Its rather easy to get to know things in dreams unless its from people that have rather high mental controle. They can shape their dreams self and i am locked outside. and if im realy exhausted i have dreamless sleep. Thats the onley time i can't use my power.
He smirked lazyly as she asked him if he messed around whit people "Sometimes i have to admit. If there is a opertunity i just can't pass bye or when i realy can't stand somebody. Its pretty easy."
"I was brought up to be a warrior, so i tend to look at things from a strategic point of view first, others morality tends to factor in later. Dream shaping was never high on Miracles list of things to teach us, she was more concerned with us learning to use our powers to stay alive." she said then realized he likely already realized this as he had been watching her dreams. "Though im guessing theirs not much i can say that you don't know on that" she said looking around the woods again, they were oddly peaceful.
"I could imagine, your power is quite beautiful my friend. I love seeing new powers, i have seen many but each mutant can do something new" she said with a smile. "So if your woken up in the real world, do you dissopear here?" she said tilting her head unsure of what might happen. She was curious about her new friend and not at all offended he had intruded though it was strange to talk to someone like this. "I sometimes have to remind myself not everyone was raised like i was" she said sitting down against a tree.
He nods "Yeah i have seen bits and pieces trough your dream that give me a general view of your situation but i have to admit honestly. That it seems as if some things are not quite in order. I can't put my finger on it tough." He looks at her as he finds her memory's rather conflicting so far and he wonders if that boy Sayr and him being ordered by that women to mess whit her head. Then again speaking about that women. "So you where brought up by this ... Miracle women i suppose then ?"
He smiles as she commented his power. "Yeah it is indeed beautiful. In dreams there are no limits as in the real world. And yes if they wake me up i just disappear here." As if he wants to demonstrate his body suddenly becomes transparent and slowly fades away leaving not a trace of the boy behind. "But then again the chance somebody wakes me up whit my room door locked is a bit small." The sound came from above as he was actually sitting on a thick branch of one of the tree's.
"Yes, my memory of my past is quite....shattered..." she said unsure how to put it. "I recall the same events many ways and other things not at all. Like i recall nothing before my parents left me in a cage at that prison, where they experimented with us. Miracle and her team struck the place and released us, she then began training us to fight as our new home was better but it was dangerous. Humans kept trying to kill us, and many of my prison friends died within the first few months." she said piecing together what she knew from the general consistency the memory lines had. "She died and so i walked back to new york city, from Canada" she said unaware of really just how far she had walked
She looked up to see him on the branch. "That's a nice trick" she said with a smile "it is just to bad our world is not like a dream, then it could all be perfect" she said thinking more to herself then anything else. "I am rarely disturbed as well, though most people stay away from my room, they don't like my craft. Miracle told us that we were soilders but that in case the war ended we had to have other things we could do, so she tought me to make furniture from bones" she said proudly.
He nods "I see ... that's rough. Comparing to you i have had a rather boring life. Even my family doesn't know I'm a mutant... but then again, people would sooner think I'm crazy then a mutant if i told them that. The tend to don't believe my power until they see it whit their own eyes ... and even then most still call it a messed up dream. "He shrugs. I don't mind tough if you see all the people that are indeed against mutants i rather keep a low profile. In here i may do what i want but in the real world its a different case." He slides of the branch and instead of falling slowly floats down.
"And indeed if somebody could do this to the real world it would indeed be perfect. But then again there are enough people that can change the world. For now I'm satisfied whit just giving them dreams of a perfect world. That's the least a dreamer can do." He crosses his arms smiling as he looks over at her as he actually did his best not to laugh. Even tough others tended to find things like that creepy he found it rather amusing to hear what she did for her past time. "Out of bones hmm ... That's pretty unique." He didn't mind scary things as much as others. Having handled so many nightmares he had become rather immune to it ... as long as she didn't intended to use his bones that is.
"yes people can be cruel about mutations they can not see. Our kind must have more then soilders my friend, after all when a war ends, if all their are is troops, they will find something to fight" she said believing their people needed people who did not want to fight for a living, her choice had been made for her, but others. "Thats true, your powers are not nearly as useful in the real world" she said beleiving that was what he was getting at and she ahd to agree.
"My parents knew i wa smutant on the first day, i was fighting a girl at school and my powers emerged on acident i cut her spine in two, which killed her right away, but no one cared it was an acident. That's the last time killing really upsaet me" she said honestly. Since then death had become easy at least when she delt it, loseing friends still hrut however.
"yes miracle used it to teach me a craft as bones, mostly human were readily available. But the idea was to teach me how to use my aura with control. Make itsharper or form better weapons, like saws with fine teeth. Still i only use animal bones" she said though she did include humans in her term of animals however. "Sometimes the memories get so bad, it's hard to tell them from reality" she said brushing some of he rhair behind her head as she sat thare looking up at the dream walker.
He smiles "Well its always good to practice your mutation. I am doing it almost every night if i get the chance to it. Because sometimes overusing it causes me to have dreamless nights, as if to recharge my ability. The first time i realised i had my powers is when i made a group of kids that where picking on me fall asleep. Before that i taught the dreams that i had where my dreams but actualey i had been making other peoples dreams my own all that time. Must say it did was quite a surprise when i found out ... and rather handy too i have to admit." He sat down in the gras over her.
"For young mutants its easy to have accidents like that. And i guesse the way your parents reacted is also part of who you are right now. Can't even immagen what i would do in such situations. But regardless i would say you took care of yourself pretty well." He tilted his head wondering if he should tell her something more about himself. Eventualey he smiles and decided it would onley be fair. "Well and you probabley didn't meet me before is because im not from America. I just came over from Europe a few weeks ago. Guesse im trying to find a more meaningfull life here then i had back there."
"I see, i walked from Canada to here, it took many days" she said unaware her walk had actually taken weeks. However Europe is much further" she said have a general idea of where it was. SHe knew their was an ocean in between that and America anyway. "Interesting, you must learn a lot about people from their dreams" she said figuring he could learn fears and even thinks like combat tactics from the dreams of others.
"yes humans simply do not understand, or do not wish to, either way, it leads to fear and issues. What human would be unhappy unemployed because a single mutant can do a job in minutes what took 20 humans hours to do for even double the pay of one worker?" she said with a sigh, things like this were why their could never be actual peace between the two, humans would always be jelous of the things mutants could do with complete ease.
He smiled "Yes its rather easy to find things out about people. I can even shape their dreams in however shape i want them to be just to find out more. But lately I'm just wandering around for fun. You meet interesting people that way and it even has found me a more ... definite place to stay until i find a job and can take care of myself."
He sighs lightly as he notices the girl has pretty much given up all hope on humanity and mutants ever living together. He lays down in the grass as he looks up at the sky that could be soon above the forest. "Maybe your right ... But for now as long as there are dreams of it there is hope for it in my opinion." He smiles lightly.
"Shape their dreams huh?" Aura said considering the power that really held. This guy simply did not understand his value she concluded. However the value she was thinking of, she ahd to remind herself was from a military perspective. It was possible and had he not said as much that he wa snot really a fighter?
"Well should you ever need a place to stay, Sanctuary, is a homeless shelter for our kind, no humans are a loud thare" she said just so he knew it was thare and that he was welcome their. "It is where i live, they took me in after i walked back from Canada" she went one witha smile. "Even saved me from a human who tried to hurt me" she said leaving out it had been a cop that had tried to hrut her and she ahd tried to hurt him first.
"Their must always be hope, and that is why i must fight, so others may have hope and may see the paradice i will never see" she said fully believing she would be long dead before it was acheived but she hoped her actions would contribute greatly to that world.
He smiles "Thats a kind offer but some mutants that i met trough visiting their dreams have already helped me finding a temporally place to live. Some school for mutants. I just got me a room there temporally ... Until i can take care of myself of course.
He sighs as he looks at her. It must be nice to have a goal in life, something you are willing to stake your whole life and being on ... But would he be able to do something like that as well? He doubted it. For her it all seemed simple. Doing everything possible to shape the world to wards the visage of perfection she has.
He suddenly smiles. "You might not see it in person ... But you can always dream about your paradise ... Since you where pleasurable company for tonight ill do you a favorer ... ill let you see the paradise that you want to make. Just close your eyes and focus on it ... and ill do the rest" He smiles curio use himself how she Imagen's the future.
"I see, i have heard of the school, they preach mutants and humans should get a long with one another, i have to admit i have wondered if that's possible" she said, and she had though she personally did not believe it could ever be. Fear would always get in the way and prevent anything like it from lasting very long if it even got on the ground itself.
"could be fun" Aur said as she closed her eyes and began to focus on the world she wnated in the future, her idea of perfection, the utopia she fought for, and would one day give her life for. It was an easy image to call to her mind as she had thought about it often. This guy could let her see it in an entirely diffrent way and she liked the idea very much.
The city started below them, as Aura floated in the air a few stories of the ground, her appearince wraith like. People wlaked belo but many were of diffrent skin colors and other had extra limbs or even entirely diffrent body shapes. It was clear no matter where one looked that everyone in this world was a mutant. Right before her was a towering statue of a woman, with the name Lori written at the base. In the statues, shadow and under the ever lasting statue's gaze were dozens of graves, including one simple grave with Aura's own name on it. ABove them winged mutants flew by, casualling discussing work. The world seemed normal, exceapt their were no human's to be found at all, and the fear and hatred of the word was mostly gone. It was also a pefect sunny day. In the distence three mutants were building a sky scraper by hand instead of useing all the tools humans would have needed.
He shrugs a bit "True but for now its as good a place to stay as anywhere else ... Now lets see if we can show you what you always have wanted to see." He sat down and as she closed her eyes he made sure her dream would change along whit her. The moment she closed her eyes the forest seemed to silently crumble apart and fade away till only darkness engulfed the two. From there on out he let her dreams and desires guide the dream into reconstructing itself to her wishes, just finished in time the moment she opens up her eyes.
"There we go ... the world as you would want it to be." Both of them where transparent as they floated in the air. He smiled as he gently hovered past her and downwards to examine the statue. "So happy ?" He looks around at the large diversity of mutants and wondered if they where all made up or if they really existed. The graveyards underneath the statue gave the thing a bit a macabre look but it seems that they where honoured as hero's. "Lori ... I guess somebody you know." Looking up at the statue he realised she must have some kind of high regards for this women giving her a statue like this in her dream.
"Yes, lori is very important, the woman i would guard with my life, and the woman who will bring our king justice" she said proudly. The idea that she was dead in her own utopia did not even bother her in the least. The Dream Mutant's powers were awsome, she could almost beleive this to all be real had he not mentioned who he was and what his powers were. "I thank you, this is a world i likely will never see in real life, my mission will likely get me killed before that time." she said honestly.
"I'm not even sure i would know what to do in a world like this" she confessed knowing that her craft would likely not be very useful in such a world. After all Humans, once they became rare would be to hard to get bones from and getting them from mutants of course was unacceptable. "All i know is combat and death and training" she went on, though their was no sorrow in her voice, in fact their was a hint of pride.
