The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

It sounded like Ted passed the spot she was hiding in. She thought it seemed an awful lot like a trick since the spot was so obvious. Of course, that may have been why he passed it. Maybe he had thought that the bushes was way to simple a place to hide in and there could be no way she’d be in there. Maybe picking an easy spot worked to her advantage. One would assume that someone would hide in a difficult-to-find-someone place. Henrietta wasn’t stupid and most of the time this kind of spot would’ve been her last to pick, but she wasn’t sure how much time he would give her or of all the spots she could possibly lurk in.
Peeking out slightly, the bush made a small rustling noise. She covered her mouth to avoid any loud, frustrated sighs and squatted down lower. The brunette glanced down in time to notice a small spider crawling near her foot. Standing straight up, the girl screamed and ran out of the greenery. “Spider! I hate spiders!” She no longer cared that she would technically be losing. There was no time for pride when there were arachnids about. Henri began to brush at her clothing, in case any had gotten on her during her escape. She shivered and decided to just sit where she now stood. Staring at the bush, she crossed her arms and made a disgusted noise.
The rustle sealed the deal. She was definitely hiding in there. The trick now was just finding her to be sure that it wasn’t just some animal making noise in there. Ted didn’t have to worry too much. She was out of her hiding spot in a second. Teddy couldn’t help himself he just started laughing. Loudly. Ted saw her jump up and out of her hiding spot. Apparently she doesn’t like spiders. he thought as he slowly started to make his way around the bush and to where she was sitting.
“Does this mean that I win?” Ted asked as he tried to control his laughing. Now, granted, if he’d been in the same situation he probably would have freaked out too…although maybe not as much. Screaming like a girl was for girls, not for guys. With an amused smile still on his face he said, “Are you ok?” Teddy didn't mean to be rude but it was funny.
Ted was laughing at her. She turned to look at him, with a very angry face. Henrietta maintained the face for a moment before bursting out laughing too. "Yeah, yeah. You win. Congratulations." She shivered as she glanced at the bush once more. "I'm okay, just a little freaked out." The brunette glanced at Ted again and shook her head, smirking, as he continued to laugh. "Laugh while you can, because someday a spider'll scare the crap out of you and then it'll be my turn to laugh." She was joking, to an extent.
The girl stood up and grinned at the boy. "Well, maybe you should hide now. You can have that round, but I shall be victorious this time." She placed her hands on her hips and looked at the sky, pretending to be a superhero or something of the like. Henri let out a small giggle after a moment. "So, do you want to hide? I bet I can find you, no sweat." She narrowed her eyes and smirked. "I dare you to prove me wrong." The girl whipped her hands over her eyes and began to count. Henrietta inched sideways a little, just to make sure there was enough space between her and the arachnid.
Ted was still laughing a little as Henrietta spoke up. For a second he thought she was mad at him for laughing at her irrational fear of spiders. Teddy wasn't a huge fan of spiders and insects but he wasn't scared of them like that. Or at least he hoped he wouldn't react like that if he was scared by a spider. "Ok, I'll go hide now." Ted agreed. "Oh I shall prove you wrong. I shall."
Henrietta then started counting and Ted smirked at her as he ran away from her. They hadn't specified whether or not they could use their powers; however it would seem a little weird to see a stuffed animall lying around outside. His safest hiding spot would be inside if he was going to use his powers. Maybe he didn't need to use his powers. Ted began looking at windows for any signs of stuffed animals. Whether or not it worked didn't matter he just wanted to prove her wrong for a second. Or at least mess with her mind a little bit.
Teddy finally found a room that had their window open and had a few stuffed animals. He climbed in and placed a few of the animals on the windowsill. He only needed to make her think he was one of the animals, she didn't know the details of his powers and it would be fun to watch her froma distance. With his plan in motion and everything set up he found a tree with a few low branches that he could climb and hide in. Ted climbed in the tree and hid behind some branches ad leaves as he waited for the young girl to find him.
Ted said he would prove her wrong. She smirked to herself as she counted out loud. “28...29...30. Ready or not, here I come.” Henrietta removed her hands from her eyes and began to walk around, searching for the mutant boy. She glanced in a few bushes and then got closer to the Mansion. The brunette noticed an open window and then saw the stuffed animals. “Hmm, I wonder.” Slowly, she approached the sill and looked at the animals. A tilt of her head and she poked a few. They made no noise and some fell back into the room.
You’d think that if he had been one of those, he would have made some sort or noise unless it doesn’t hurt when he’s in a stuffed form. The girl quirked her lips slightly to one side and let out a small sigh. I don’t have enough information about his mutation to assume anything though. Maybe next time I should come up with some definite rules. It may be impossible to know if I found him or not. She supposed she could walk around saying, “I found you!”, but that seemed a little like cheating.
After giving up on the fake furry creatures, the girl walked farther away from the Mansion again. “Where are you, Ted?” She didn’t really believe he’d just come out and answer, but it seemed like it was worth a shot. Who knows, maybe he’d reply? I highly doubt it. He’s not stupid, but he may be so nice that he’ll come out. She didn’t believe that either. Henrietta was nice, but not so nice that she’d let someone beat her willingly and he was probably very similar in his thought process. It was just human nature to want to win and beat others.
Teddy waited patiently for Henrietta to fall for his trap. It didn't take long, seeing as the window he'd chosen was the only one open around. The young mutant then watched her poke and prod the stuffed animals until she knocked one over. That would have hurt if that was me. Ted thought as she continued to mess with some of the animals. he continued to watch her even as she gave up and started tyring tro trick him to come out. Did she really think he was stupid enough to answer her? Of course not, but why not try it.
The stuffed shifter carined his neck around the branches to seearound the bushes and that's when the hand that was holding on to the branch above him slipped just a little. But a little was enough to make him make a small noise. "Whoa." Ted said out loud, shifting in the tree so that he wouldn't fall out. She had bad experiences with trees and he waws hoping that her bad experiences weren't rubbing off on him after such a short amount of time. If that was the case he'd hate to find out what would happen if they spent more time together.
Henri was still looking around, but stopped when she heard a noise that sounded an awful like some sort of shock. It was a "woah". Whipping around, she glanced up at the tree and smirked. Found you, Ted. She walked beneath the tree and stared straight up. "Oohh, Teeeed. I know you're up there, buddy." The brunette noticed the bottom of his shoe and laughed. "You had me going for a while there, I'll give you that. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem that trees like you any better than me."
She continued to look up. "Uh, do you need help or anything? I don't want you to fall out of the tree or something." The girl paused and bit her lip. "That would probably hurt and I'd feel bad if you fell and broke a bone." Henrietta winced at the thought of breaking something that helps keep your frame looking how it was supposed to. It would definitely hurt and the hair manipulator didn't need to watch a younger boy hurt himself because they were playing hide-and-go-seek. That would be a really weird thing to explain to a doctor most likely.
Apparently the 'woah' was loud enough to get the attention of Henrietta. Once she made her way over to the tree it didn't take long for her to find him. "Well, it was worth a try." Ted said to her. "No but I sure was hoping that maybe the trees would like me more then they did to you. But I have to agree. It doesn't seem like they like me all that much either." Teddy said looking down at her and seeing her directly under him. "No I think I can get down by myself." Or so he hoped. Getting up there apparently wasn't the trouble. It was getting down. That wasn't something that he would be looking forward to.
He wasn't very far up, but he was high enough to get hurt if he fell from the tree. Since he had been spotted Teddy slowly started to climb down to the ground. Just a few minutes later and he was on the ground in front of Henrietta. "So I guess you win?" Ted asked her. Since he didn't really have to catch her when she got scared by a spider, that just confused him a little on how exactly they were counting who was winning this game. The young mutant just smiled at his barely older friend as he thought, Are we going to play again or what? He was enjoying the game; however, it was more fun with more people and there wasn't exactly a whole lot of hiding spots, since both of them didn't seem to have any luck with trees.
Ted said he could get down from the tree on his own and the girl smiled. "Okay, just checking." She thought it was funny how he went along with the way she spoke about the trees. It was always nice for Henrietta to meet someone who would just kind of go along with whatever was said. She appreciated that he didn't treat her like she was weird or something. The brunette wondered if Teddy was getting bored as well. She raised an eyebrow and leaned against one side of the tree. "I don't know if I won. If I did, it was out of luck on my part." Henri laughed and glanced up at the boy. "Maybe we aren't cut out for hide-and-go-seek out in the wilderness, huh?" She gave him a joking smirk.
"Well, once you get down, we could try doing something else or we could call it a day. I'm sure we'll be able to hang out again sometime, especially considering we live in the same place and all." Henrietta smiled slightly to herself. If he had been looking down, it would've been meant for him, but she assumed he was busying trying to get out of the large tree. She sank down to sit against it, instead of just propping herself up. "It probably wouldn't hurt me to get some stuff done in my room either. I'm usually pretty tidy, but recently I've been slacking a little."
“Well I wouldn’t exactly call the way I won the last one skill on my part.” Teddy said smiling. As it stood right now it was one win for him and one win for her. “Ya, seems like nature and us don’t mix.” Ted agreed. There didn’t seem like much else they could do in just a pair. It sounded like she had some other stuff to do that she was putting off and maybe couldn’t find any excuse to put it off longer. “I think we should call it a day. Maybe we could try it again sometime in the Danger Room. That way the wilderness can’t hurt us.” The young boy suggested.
Ted didn’t notice a few of the smiles that she was casting and the ones he did catch he didn't understand why she was smiling like that. So being the smart kid that he was he just smiled back at her. “Ok. I’m sure we’ll see each other around some more. Or maybe one will see the other and the other won't know it.” Ted said indicating his powers. Although he did have to admit that he didn’t have much of an inclination to just wander into people’s rooms as a stuffed animal anymore after what happened to him the last time. Ted wasn’t a stalker or anything but he did still find it fun to mess with people’s heads about a stuffed animal moving.
The girl smiled and waved a good bye to Ted. "Nice to meet you, Ted. See you around." Henrietta walked off. Eventually she made it to her room where she began the dreaded cleaning. With a sigh, she picked up her first article of clothing from the floor. "Well, here we go..."
