The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

She couldn't ask him to kiss her if she wasn't conscious and he told her he wouldn't unless she asked...of course he sure as heck wasn't explaining that to either of them. Not because he didn't trust them but he wanted Katrina to be able to trust him...Even while she was out of it.
"Carrick!" was all Koga could think to say, he was flustered about the situation and dealing with his inner emotions right now wasn't something he could deal with...the fact that this was getting under his cool said plenty about how much he cared for Katrina, he could face a giant clay monster and possible death with out batting an eye.
One eye glanced at Carrick and the lack of a smile even though his tone was laughing. but one of his eyes was still focused soully on Katrina. "Carrick, Normally I think you are hilariousss, you are one of the few loud mouthsss in any of my classssesss with the creativity and talent to make me want to laugh at your interruptionsss. but thisss isss kind of freaking me out. Help usss out" Koga thought for a second. " can you flap your wingsss a little bit in here?" it was all about giving her senses the most to grab on to. he started changing his skin color back and forth in the most obnoxious patterns he could yellow to black, black to bright green, bright green to dark red, dark red to bright blue, bright blue to bright orange, bright orange to black and around again.
A moment later Shin was with him and helping him out. I guess Shin wouldn't think of him as a knight if he ever found out about what he did. Instinctively Kissing Katrina, hoping for a return of his affection.
She had said music earlier....she was responding a bit but the look on Shin's face made him nervous. Shin was older he was supposed to have the answers, wasn't he?
"Ssshin, you have an Epsssom sssalt? You know that stuff they wave under the nose of athletes that are hit too hard?"
If that didn't work he'd have somebody in the hall way get them a lime or a lemon. maybe she didn't think to shut off their taste when they were in that darkness.
It was definitely music she was hearing. Her hearing was coming back a little. At least she thought it was. The changes in her perceptions were so gradual they were almost imperceptible. The lyrics were still fuzzy and it was hard to tell if she could hear better now or if the music was just really loud.
>>>"Can. You. Hear. Me?"
Katrina tilted her head the other way, then slowly nodded. That sounded like Shin. He was probably worried. Could they hear her, too?
In front of her, the blackness flickered a little bit. It was just a slight bit brighter than before, blinking between lighter and darker blacks..
“I think it's getting better,” even her own voice was still sounding really muffled. “It just needs time.”
At least, she hoped so. She said it to reassure the others and herself. Though, hopefully it worked better at reassuring them than it did her. She couldn't help but think that it would really suck to be stuck like this forever.
Lost inside you'll never find; lost within my own mind. Day after day this misery must go on.
Looking at Shin and shrugging Carrick said, ”Not really a knight in shining armor, I’m more a thief in rags, poor upbringing and all.” he didn’t rally have a poor upbringing he was trying to make a point, not everyone could afford to be the noble knight in shining armor. Sides if everyone was the knight then there would be no need to have knights in shining armor, who would be the damsel? Eyes shifting back to Koga and Katrina he smirked, she defiantly had the damsel down.
The winged boy’s attention turned to Koga who seemed genuinely upset with his recent comment. He didn’t see what the bug deal was but with both Shin and Koga making a comment about it he guessed they took him seriously. Shrugging his shoulders he pushed off the wall he was leaning on and opened his wings and then put a foot forward to make sure he didn’t take off. Aiming his wings accordingly he starts to move the muscles behind his shoulders back in forth in a flapping motion pushing currents of air towards Koga and Kat.
After a few moments Koga asked for Epson salt, ”Why not just throw some water in her face? Shock to the system usually does the trick right?” Carrick asked thinking of a few television shows and movies. It seemed to work a lot n Hollywood so why wouldn’t it work now?
Just as he finished her statement it seemed sleeping beauty was coming around. Cutting the fans Carrick tucked his wings back behind his back and then placed his hands behind his head watching the situation. A few comments came to mind but he kept his mouth shut until Kat was up and moving.

Epsom salt? Something to shock Katrina awake… did he have any? Shin shot to the bathroom, ignoring everyone else for the moment to search. He fumbled through his medicine cabinet. Epsom salt… Epsom salt… What was Epsom salt? Shin looked up at his mirror in thought, tightening his grip on the bottle of aspirin in his hand. If he recalled correctly, Epsom salt was used in… A light bulb went on over Shin’s head. He burst through his bedroom door, and ran down the hall to another student’s room.
After a few moments of pounding, the girl came to the door. She stared sleepily at Shin, rubbing her eyes. Her hair was lime green, the skin of her face had freckles, and there were bags under the sallow skin of her eyes. “What is it, Tatsuya…?” She mispronounced his name.
Shin spoke with urgency. “Bath salts. Do you have them? Epsom salt, preferably.” This girl’s power affected her sleeping habits, and made it difficult for her to relax. This was one of the thing’s she’d mentioned to him, when he’d helped her into the mansion. Shin hoped she’d kept up the habit.
The girl paused for a second, then tilted her head and tapped her forehead. “Think, think, think… oh, yeah. Hold on!” She ran off. A moment later, she popped back in the doorway, and held out the box of bath salts with a sunny smile. “Did you need them to relax, Shin? You can keep the box…”
“Thanks,” Shin replied, turning. He waved over his shoulder as he ran back towards his room. “I needed them to wake a friend.”
“Eh?” A bead of sweat rolled down her cheek as she held up a finger. “… Kay.”
Shin broke back into his room, and held the box of bath salts out for Koga. “Epsom salt. Do you still need…?”
Koga sighed a breathe of relief even as his hair and any of the light contents in Shin's room fluttered about due to the wings flapping in the room.
Koga looked confused at the epsom salts for a moment. and then looked embarassed. "Sssorry Ssshin, I wasss thinking of sssmelling sssaltsss insstead. they ussse them in football to roussse people with concusssionsss... but Kat Ssseemsss to be coming around.
That was terrible timing to be confused.
thanksss for the help guysss.I'm not sure whats going on, but I can face ti with you guys by my side. looking at the small thorns coming out of his skin.
The shadows were starting to form people. The whispers were starting to form words. Pinpricks in her fingertips were starting to form a blanket, twisted between her fingers. It was progress, but it was slow.
She could distinguish Koga's voice from the mumbles that surrounded her, “Koga? Are you okay?” She reached for the shadow that seemed to be where his head should be and touched her hand gently to his cheek, or rather, as gently as she could without much feeling in her fingertips. It felt rougher than she expected and sharper. A tiny tingle of pain welled up in the tip of her finger. Maybe. It was the realest thing Katrina had felt all afternoon.
“Oww,” it was more a question than a statement, and certainly not an exclamation. Was that a shadow of red on the tip of her finger now? It kind of looked like it.
His mouth still shut an act in itself was proving to be difficult only got more and more difficult when the sleeping beauty reached out of the darkness to meet Koga’s face. After his thanks for being there Carrick felt a little awkward about the situation. Everything seemed to be getting more and more like an after school special in his opinion and again he said nothing. Glad they were both all right Carrick looked around the room getting the feeling that it would best to leave the room.
When Kat’s finger touched Koga’s face it seemed those prickers on his face were sharp due to the fact that her finger turned red. Blood he guessed not much else it could be unless Koga’s face now leaked poison like some lizards did.
Scratching his head not really knowing what to say Carrick opened his mouth as if he was about to blurt out some words then closed it slightly dumbfounded. He sighed slightly and had decided on his words, ”Right…. Now that everyone seems alright I think I’ll be on my way…” his hands crossed on the back of his head as he looked to Testuya the sock breaker and gave him a small nod then headed to the door.
Stopping shortly before he was entirely out of the door and into the hall Carrick turned and added, ”Glad your both alright….” again feeling far too out of character Carrick headed out into the hallway and started to walk wondering why he wasn’t feeling himself there had to be someone that needed a sarcastic comment.

>>"Sssorry Ssshin, I wasss thinking of sssmelling sssaltsss insstead. they ussse them in football to roussse people with concusssionsss... but Kat Ssseemsss to be coming around.
"..." Shin looked down at the bath salts. "We could try them, maybe..." He said quietly. Then, the rest of what Koga had said kicked in. Katrina was coming to. They didn't need the stuff anymore. The urge hit him to toss it over his shoulder, into the hall.
He suppressed it.
This wasn't the time for bath-salt-tossing.
"I'm glad we got this sorted out," Shin stated.
Carrick left. Shin looked around his room. "I guess we should take you both to the infirmary," He noted. Griddy rooms of triangle-eyed barriermancers were no place for recovering girls and lizardboys. Or at least, not the best.
Koga nods and stands up. " Do you think you could help Kat? I'm ssspiky.apparently." looking at his hand carefully to see if offering her his hand would be a hazard to her. and look at that his hands had nice little thorns. the complications of this were disastrous. but that didn't matter, he would be ok, and so would Kat. they had good friends that would take care of them and they might be spending some time together in the infirmary.
Her finger was bleeding. A feathery shadow breezed out. Someone whispered something about an infirmary. Katrina nodded, then stuck her finger in her mouth before it could drip on the floor. The blood was tasteless today, most odd.
Somehow she made it down to the infirmary and someone tucked her into a bed. She couldn't tell if it was soft or not, but it didn't really matter. A nap seemed like a really good way to sleep off the Helen-Keller-itis. Assuming it was something that was going to go away, of course. If it didn't, she'd deal with it when she woke up.
“Thank you,” she called after whoever it was that had put her in her bed. She could barely hear herself, but hoped that whomever it was could hear better than she could.
Koga came into the room dragging a cot that was low to the ground, he was still sore from his fall and his body abusing its self, but he was doing it none the less. He refused to listen to Doc prof, and that they were going to keep a good eye on Katrina and him both. Finally he won the argument with the sensible notion that if they were in one room they could check on them both in one trip, as for him he would be right there with in a whispers distance.
as exhausted as he was from the days events he still slept light as a feather.
