The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

"I do miss my old friends, but to be honest none of us really expected to see the end of the war, it is the fate of solders to fall for their cause" she said simply though where the saying had come from and how she knew the others had expected their eventual fate evaded her own internal inquiries. She pushed this aside to ask herself at a later time however and was surprised to find the woman patting her hand. Had she really checked out for that long? she thought to herself. She decided to just move on, after all this girl was in a bit of shock.
"what matters is that we move on from our pasts and avenge those taken from us wrongly, in the most just ways we know how. We must all do what we can to ensure we as a species survives into the future" she said finishing the thought. To Aura killing any human was a vengeful act for those she had lost, and she had paid humanity back many many times for it, however it would never be enough and her current job called for her to make sure mutants took dominance on the planet. It would be a great day and one she would never see.
"a pet that hates?" she said tilting her head not quite understanding the concept. "Well then maybe you need a new one like my sweet kitty" she said lifting the skunk into her lap even as she reached for a fry at the newly delivered food. Eating a few fries, she let the skunk jump back down onto the floor, which looked around and then just laid down by the table. "some animal mutants were attacking the zoo and she got released" she explained further. "Solkat can go any ware she likes, but always comes back. I still don't really see the difference between skunks and cats but it has not mattered yet.
"are you feeling better? i could show you more of the place if you like, or if you want a real meal just ask one of the chef guys" she said waiving to the other side of the room and to the French fries that now sat between them. "you really are cute you know" she said with a playful smile, she was starting to like this girl. She was still new to death and blood but people got over that quickly enough most of the time.
>>"I do miss my old friends, but to be honest none of us really expected to see the end of the war, it is the fate of solders to fall for their cause"
It saddened her quite a bit to hear those words, but Fate was a fickle mistress. She fidgeted with her glass some more, while tossing about words in her head. She couldn't figure out what to say... it was a touchy subject, she was sure, and she didn't know how to approach it. Life shouldn't be like this, God would not have wanted us to live our lives only to serve as tools for murder and war....
>>"what matters is that we move on from our pasts and avenge those taken from us wrongly, in the most just ways we know how. We must all do what we can to ensure we as a species survives into the future"
In a way, the green found her chest seizing up at Aura's words. They spoke of vengeance, but were ushered into existence calmly. The girls words help hope, and and urgency... but to Andrea's ears, they only furthered her confusion. She willingly let herself slip into the next question, wholeheartedly. An unexpected chuckle bubbled from her as she replied. "I am afraid due to my powers, I am not very pet friendly..." She pondered showing Aura what she could do by removing a glove and picking up an innocent french fry, but decided against it due to the circumstances. Instead, she traveled back to explaining what a gorgon was. "When I mentioned that I am afflicted with a curse of a Gorgon, I truly meant it. Gorgons are mythical beings with the power to turn people to stone. It was said back then to be because of their looks." Which makes a lot of sense, if you think about it. "My mutation forces me to wear these glasses, and these gloves." She held them up to show case her point, "Without them, people are in quite a bit of danger from me..."
When Aura offered to show her around, and motioned to the fries and temptation of a meal, she felt the need to decline, but didn't want to seem rude. When the comment of, 'You really are cute you know.' came about, she felt her stomach flip flop again. Cute... a word she didn't want to hear directed at her any times soon. Not until she got over-... over what had happened. With a small, oblivious smile, she took another sip of her water and continued. "A tour would be nice i guess.. a little bit of walking will help me get the shakes out of my legs. I mustn't stay long however, I was actually on my way home when I had happened by here.." The thought and promise of home- her own bed and blankets- brought a happy flutter to her chest.
"The power to turn thing's to stone, nature really did gift you with a wonderful power. I would love to see it work some time, i have seen many beautiful mutations and yours is certainly among them." she said sounding a bit excited she liked the idea of the green lady's power. "If you turn something to stone does it ever turn back into flesh? oh, and is their a range limit?" she asked clearly excited by the idea of the green lady's powers. It barely registered to her that the woman's real name was somthing other then the green lady but that was fine.
Aura pink aura suddenly became visible around her, though not calm like it had been at the foor, this time it was flowing around her body like water, at once aura stopped, closed her eyes for a few secounds and suppressed her aura back to it's dormant state. "I am sorry.......that was rude and my excitement caused my power to flare" she said a bit embarrassed making her look like the fifteen year old she was.
"So whare are gorgans from, they sound dangerous and wonderful" Aura said not understanding the word myth in any sense of the word. Aura simply assumed their were realm creatures out there who could turn their pray to stone. Nature really was a beautiful thing to aura and these creatures the green lady took after sounded like creatures they could use on the mansion residents, stone statues fought less well then active mutants she was sure.
"whenever you wish to go you may" she said standing up from the table. She decided against showing the girl the bedrooms, more so hers, some people who were weak to death and blood would not take well to looking at her carpentry skills. "if you like you could call home as well" she offerd as she stretched a bit. "We have a training room, where we can learn to better use our powers against robot s mostly but we can spar in there from time to time. I spend much of my time there" she said figuring it might be one of the better spots to show her. "We have a recreation room and many personal rooms for residents" she sadi as she moved to the door of the kitchen, her messy brown hair trailing her. "Just remember no matter what happons you will always be welcome here" she said with a smile back to her new friend.
She would love to see it?... Andrea cringed on the inside. The excitement dripping from the girls voice put her on edge. It was unnerving. She barely flinched from the pink Aura that popped out of the girl, rippling like something fluid, before she got a hold of her power and it leeched back to where it had come from. The gorgon suppressed a shudder as she thought about what that pink, innocent looking aura was capable of, but refused to think about it any further. She wanted an explanation about how it worked, about what Gorgons were and where they came from. Andrea could provide at least that much.
"Once I turn something, it is stone forever. I have to physically touch it though, which is why I wear the protective gloves. Gorgon's from the myths, old Greek and Roman legends, were cursed by the gods. They were changed from normal people into monsters for committing some form of blasphemy. Have you heard of Medusa? She'd the more prominent gorgon in mythology and literature, able to turn living things into statues by simple looking at them." Medusa, she had not spoken of that creature for quite a few years now. "My eyes work differently, I only... well, knock people out, I guess you can say. I could go without glasses, but conversation like this one would be near impossible." She paused briefly, to let the other soak in what she had said, before adding, "How does your power work exactly?"
She was curious to know, as much as she hated to admit it. Talking about her own power only left her bitter in the end, where as listening to others made her feel a bit better. Not everyone needed to suffer as she did, right?
She stood from the table to follow Aura out, her legs protesting quite a bit under her as she moved. Another offer for residence, one which she simply couldn't think on at the moment, came her way. An explanation of the rooms, including a training room, followed after. She nodded and sent a weak smile back to Aura. She was always welcome. Under normal circumstances, it would have been a cheerful and heartwarming thing to hear... but with blood and death still hovering on the edge of her mind, she could only cringe on the inside again. How many others had died here?... How many others were still destined to? Andrea couldn't bear to think about it... least she get sick again.
"You're training room has robots?" The puzzled tone in her voice betrayed her confusion... Like... robot robots?
"I see where that could be bad, still we must look to the positive side of our powers, knocking people out with just a glance mean's most people would have trouble hurting you. " she said honestly, still liking the idea of the girl's powers. She could certainly see the girl's potential as a weapon. True it did not seem to be her way, but if she joined the order, maybe incidents like KP would not have happened. Mentally Aura considered if she had the girls powers, she may have been able to protect syn or even miracle. Would her own powers be enough to protect Lori? She could only hope so.
"My power works simply through mental focus, a focus on my aura like this" she said and a moment later a thin pink aura began to appear it started at her left hand flowing over her palm, wrapping around he wrist and reaching up her arm, until it covered her shoulder. The Aura began growing thicker and as it did it became a bit harder to see through casting a pinkish tint on aura's skin. "Then i shape it, again with my mind" she said and without looking her Aura began to stretch out from her finger tips forming a blade which stretched about six inches from hr finger tips, then the thin blade began to thicken and round itself out again flowing like water untill it formed a drill like weapon, which began to spin, as it spun the aura began stretch out and the drill lost shape instead flowing out to form a double bladed axe just past her palm. Letting th weapon flow back into her hand she let her full aura out, and the pink energy covered her body in just a few moments. Closing her Eyes Aura began to shape her full body aura, forming sharp angels with it and smooth slopes in wider areas like her torso.
"My first master, a woman named miracle tought me control, as long as i mentally focus, I can keep my Aura up and reshape it. This is also why She gave me the name of Aura in place of my old human name, My AUra is me and i am my aura, thus the name fits. Still my range is limited to about six inches, but i can deflect incoming attacks, and with the angels i have in my aura now, i can deflect bullets away from myself to avoid their full impact" she said then stopped for a moment. "When i was younger, and my powers were dorment i got into a fight with a human girl, i went to punch her, my Aura picked that moment to emerge and i acidently cut the girl's spine in two, she was dead before she hit the ground, but no one wished to here it was an acident, i was a mutant that was all my parents or the police needed to lock me away" she said tilting her head as she tried to recall their faces, but nothing really emerged, she knew she should know but that a long with so many other things were just gone from her memory.
"Yes, we use them for practice, Most mutants who end up here, have been attacked by humans, tossed out by their parents, or in some cases their parents even tried to kill them, usually a religious thing" she said shaking her head. "When it comes to mutants, weather good or bad, the kind loving storys of good familys are not the normal trend. So we train those here to better use their powers to defend them selfs against other mutants and humans, a year or so ago for example, dozens of police attacked this very building ina very bloody fight, i was not there but from what i heard it was not pretty for either side" she said, having only heard minor things about the incident. "I train so i can br stronger and so that next time the humans try and kill my friends i will not fail to protect them as i did with my old friends" she said still clinging to the belive that if she had been stronger, she could have saved them.
It was true, her failure to obey an order lead to the death of everyone around her. She had not killed a boy on her team to wounded to make it back to base for proper healing and he had been captured and turned them all in. They had fought anyway and lost. Then at KP she failed yet again to guard her leader and Syn had died while Aura still fought, still lived. Their was no excuse for outliving your leader she would ensure she died before anyone had the chance to try and hurt lori.
Regaining herself, Aura realized they had arrived at the door to the training room which opened to reveal a large space with several robots in the back and a small control station near the door to program what you wanted. "This is the training room, if you like you could use your powers on one of the robots, they tend to get destroyed anyway, so you can use your powers freely in here, after all if we don't learn to use our powers as best we can then when the time comes to protect those we love, we may not have the power we need to do so" she said thinking back on her earlier musings. "No matter what always be proud of your powers, never ashamed or scared of them, you are your powers and they are you, nature gave us our powers because it wanted us to use them. I happen to be a solder, a weapon and so i fight, others help our people in other ways entirely, but their is nothing more sad to be then a mutant asahmed of their powers" she said a sad tone echoeng in her voice on that note, before a smile returned to her voice. "i'm sorry im used to telling people that, most who come here, as said have had bad times and are believed their issue is because of their power" she said realizing she may have talked to much again. Sweeping a hand through her brown hair she began telling the green lady that the room could generate holograms of almost any location and the robots coulkd be programmed in all sorts of ways as well.
>>"I see where that could be bad, still we must look to the positive side of our powers, knocking people out with just a glance mean's most people would have trouble hurting you. "
True... but at what cost? She thought back to when she dumped into that man on the street, and he had been angry. Without her glasses on, he had been frozen, and she had been forced to leave him there- vulnerable. She still felt bad for it... no matter what Saphirus said. Yet, at the same time, Aura had a point. Without her powers... only god knew what that man might have done to her. Perhaps he would have hit her, as Saph had said. She clenched her hands in her pockets, her head swimming. She could feel the beginning of a real headache sinking in. "I see your point..." There was a positive side to her abilities, even if it was an evil, and vile plus. Her abilities were nothing more than the results of sin, either her own, or the sins of her parents. She didn't feel comfortable pointing fingers either way..
>>"...if you like you could use your powers on one of the robots, they tend to get destroyed anyway, so you can use your powers freely in here, after all if we don't learn to use our powers as best we can then when the time comes to protect those we love, we may not have the power we need to do so"-"I train so i can be stronger and so that next time the humans try and kill my friends i will not fail to protect them as i did with my old friends"
She understood, in a way, the importance of what Aura was talking about. She needed to train, because when it came down to a life or death fight, she needed to win. Andrea was perfectly fine with avoiding such conflicts...but, that didn't mean she would always be able too. Her eyes landed on the forms of the robots, still as death, and silent. The room was cold, it sent a shiver running up her spine. "I cannot, My ability only effects that of living tissue... organic things. Metal and plastics are quite safe for me to touch." She tilted her head, wondering how the program worked, "I don't really know if my eyes would work on them either... Honestly, I haven't played with my Powers all that much." She didn't miss the sadness that the girl emitted, nor did she miss her words. Andrea fell silent, unsure of what to say, or do. "Striving to better ones self to then be able to better protect those you love, is a selfless goal. It takes a strong and courageous heart to put your own needs behind those of your loved ones." She managed another small smile, and fidgeted with her hands in her pockets. It was better than saying nothing at all.
>>"No matter what always be proud of your powers, never ashamed or scared of them, you are your powers and they are you, nature gave us our powers because it wanted us to use them..."
She shuddered. The very thought that she was even remotely connected to her mutations scared her to the very bone. The Greek had spent all of her life trying to separate herself from the horrible things she could do, and the way she looked. She was a godly woman, who prayed every night before bed, and before every meal. You are your powers... She could never be that destructive... right? Her hands would always be clean of-... Another's blood. The bottom of her stomach dropped clean away, rather sharply. She felt cold, and empty inside. How could she assume she was any better than this girl, any more pure, if she could simply stand there and watch another die... and do nothing about it? Tears pricked at her eyes again, and she took a sort breath. She was careful to show no outward signs of her emotion, not yet anyway.
>>"...I happen to be a solder, a weapon and so i fight, others help our people in other ways entirely, but their is nothing more sad to be then a mutant ashamed of their powers"
Then she would be shame faced. The gorgon pushed back her inner turmoil and sighed. "Perhaps you could show me how they work, the robots that is, since I won't have an effect on them." She forced a smile, and adjusted her glasses so that they sat properly on her nose again. "You could show me how you...um, Dance, was it?"
"i see, well we all have our limitations, it's how nature keeps us in check, still it may be good to find out if your eyes could effect them. Besides it's fun to play and be your natural self. I don't know much about courage or a strong heart, i simply know our people must survive and if fate deems i should fall in that task, i have no regrets" she said simply and honestly though it truth it went deeper then that for Aura, their was vengeance mixed in as well of course as well as a need to obey the orders of those above her.
"Nature gave me my gift to use it, not to hide or fear it, besides i am not sure i could go on living without it, it would be like losing an arm. I was always taught that in order to love who you are, you must learn to love your powers and the things you can do as well" she said honestly beleiving they would never have had their powers if they were not meant to use them. Miracle had taught her this and made sure she remembered it. Flexing her Arm as she looked down at the computer she hit several buttons looking through the database that was in it.
"I could do that if you like" she agreed hough she had been wishing for the green lady to dance with her. Even so she began to select a preset scenario with one of the robots the woman had said she did not have much time so she wanted to keep things quick but sill demonstrate a show. COnsidering for a moment she hit a few buttons and the room shimmered into a bar scene, one she had played a few times before with an old friend.
Aura stepped away from the computer and took a few steps to the center of the bar. Two of the robots in the back stepped up with heavy footsteps, each one ratteling the glass all over the bar. Aura formed a blade with her right hand and charged the robot, who stepped back and just as she was about to conenct the other robot struck her with a laser from it's hand sending her sprawling across the floor. She had forgeotten how much the blasts from the robots stung. Aura rolled out of the way of the next blast which left a smoking crater in the floor where she had been. Dodgeing behind a table Aura waited untill both robots fired, closing the distance with one of them quickly. Her sword cut into the robot's arm and about halfway through it, before it flung her back, and Aura landed on the bar, crushing glasses beneath her feet.
To Aura the fight was wonderful and relaxing away to vent her emotions. The Robots changed tactics this time they rushed the bar after her, their arms up Aimed at ehr, cept the one aura had damaged. Leaping At the one, she sunk her blade depp into the robot who grabbed her around her chest. Aura changed her blade to a buzzsaw like devive and began cutting apart the creature from the incide trying to free herself before the other one got smart and hit her from behind.
>>"Nature gave me my gift to use it, not to hide or fear it, besides i am not sure i could go on living without it, it would be like losing an arm. I was always taught that in order to love who you are, you must learn to love your powers and the things you can do as well"
She nodded, slightly, and shifted her eyes away from Aura back to the robots. They were frozen still, quiet unmoving shapes in the darkness at the back of the room. She shivered again. While she disagreed on the subject of her mutations, she agreed with the message Aura was trying to send her way. She had learned to love herself, powers or not. Andrea was one of god's children, and while she didn't know why she was the way she had turned out yet, she would continue to love herself for her personality. It shook her to the bone though, that Aura felt herslef so expendable that she could train and train and train- only to die when the time called for it. Her eyes fixated once more on the girl, watching silently as she moved to the control panel.
>>"I could do that if you like."
She tapped in a few things, Andrea heard the soft beeping from across the room in her corner by the door. When the room lit up and the bar scene popped into existence, she near jumped out of her skin. She had heard of such technology, back at the mansion in a place called the 'danger room', but she had yet to investigate- not that she really wanted to. The bar looked like a real bar, the stools looked solid, glasses looked fragile... everything seemed so... life like, yet it had only been in existence for mere moments and had come from seemingly nothing. It boggled her mind, really. She had no time to stare, slack jawed at the marvel however, for the robots that had laid dormant before sprang to life and jumped at the chance to Attack Aura.
The Gorgon sucked in a scream, gasping aloud as the closest one shot something she has only seen on TV, a laser, out of its hand. her mind screamed that it was impossible... but she ignored it and backed herself up against the wall. Aura was knocked to the floor, then onto the bar directly after. Andrea's orange eyes watched, wide and frightened like a rabbits, from behind her glasses as the metallic creature snatched Aura up, and the girl fought back valiantly. She felt her arms and legs twitch, her body was tense, her lungs were nearly frozen with fear. Then, almost out of nowhere, something hit her. She sucked in a shallow gasp of air and edged herself away from the wall. Aura was going to get hurt- possibly die- if she didn't try to help. Andrea hadn't thought the training would be so very dangerous... She had been caught off guard, But she couldn't let Aura get hurt. She couldn't stand to see more blood today. Without really thinking, (something she was getting rather good at), she felt herself lurch away from the wall. She shrugged her coat off quickly, and when in range with the robot attacking Aura, she threw the red clothing over the machines head. Her feet left the ground, and like a monkey, she latched onto the robots back and clung, trying with all of her might to pull it back off of its feet and onto the ground. She could hear the clunking of heavy feet behind her, and squeezed her eyes shut- fearing that the second machine was closing in.
((let me know if you want to to tweak anything Aura!))
Aura could feel the tight grip of the robot even as she tried to get the last quarter inch she needed to, It was starining her Aura to keep the robot from getting through to her ribs. Gone was the green woman she had met, gone was the sanctuary, the city, their was just one thing that matterd, getting free. Aura had never really been sure of the rules of the room but routinely disabled the safetys on the robots. What was training if their was no danger, that rush that narrowed the mind to a single task, that shut all else out. memoiries, traitors, her friends.
Her blade cut deep into the robot's arm but simply could not seem to find the area to make the arm useless, but she was missing it in her struggle, it never even ocurred to her to try and stab the fingers around her midsection. Then The robot was took several steps back as the half ton monster suddenly lost it's abillity to see. Aura could see the red band of fabric that now prevented the robot from seeing. The robot let go of Aura as it reached up to grab the garment that now concealed it's face. Aura landed on her feet and looke dup, the green woman had guts, she was far more atractive then Aura had thought.
Aura made her move rushing past the Robot the green skinned lady had, she had heard it's steps before she had been dropped and could now see it aiming a laser at her new friend. Aura felt the laser sear part of her Aura, but the indirect hit did no real damage. She could feel her weakened Aura, she had to do this quickly, she glanced back to see the RObot lose it's fotting and pitch forward as it mistepped. Aura formed a blade a long her arm and struck the robot as she passed in the leg, the blow had littile force but was enough to distract the secound robot. As it turned Aura formed a sword, the rest of her Aura draining as she pooled her remaining force into it and struck the robot in the back cutting deep into control unit that kept it running, she looked back to see what ehr gorgan friend was doing.
"Thanks for the aide" She said as she smiled, her blade draining to make a thin Aura around her, the robot had drained her and it was very possible she would be in the infirmery now if not for this one. "you want help?" she asked even as she made her way tp striking distence, she had littile force left, but the green lady was a mutant and so Aura would fight untill the end to keep her safe.
Oblivious to the fight behind her, she found her self concentrating on keeping her spot in on the robots back and remaining safely out of mechanic arms reach. The sounds coming from behind, while distracting, were a load off of her shoulders. The clanking of metal hitting the ground meant that the mechanical foe had either been taken care of, or was at least being taken care of. The gorgon sighed aloud and ducked as best she could as the robot she was blinding raised an arm to try an swipe at her. She could not stay on it forever, that much was clear, but until Aura had taken care of the other, she wouldn't be able to skitter away. Two enemies against one, (with a rather lame excuse of a hero thrown in on the side) was not the kind of odds she felt comfortable with. She would hold on as long as it took, or until she was physically plucked from the metal beast.
>>"you want help?"
Hark, a voice! Relief washed over her. Aura, to be speaking so clearly, must have been finished with the second bot, and from the tone of her voice- the fight had gone quite well. Andrea got a peek of the girl as her robot turned and flashed an uneasy smile her way, before she was jerked away again. Meanwhile, the absence of its fellow robot sent her ride into a frenzy. Andrea was forced to hold on tighter and duck her head down as the robot flailed about, bumping repeatedly into the bar in front of it and sending glasses and bar stools alike crashing to the floor.
Would she like help?... certainly. Whether or not she had the breath to form the words, now, that was a completely different story. The metal beast she rode on reach back suddenly, seemingly having pin pointed her position on its back, and seized a hold of her shirt. Before she knew it, or could react for that matter, Andrea was ripped from her hiding spot and flung over the bar, where she crashed sharply into the wall and slumped to the floor. From upside down, she could see her knees above her, her feet hanging limply in the air, and she could feel the wall pressed into her back as well as the floor against her neck and skull. Her head hurt, quite a bit.... And dizziness was setting in quickly. From her spot on the floor she could see the robot from its waist up, struggling to remove her jacket from its head with its mechanical hands.
It was a fuzzy and oddly comical sight, from her skewed point of view and possible concussion. With a light, strained laugh, Andrea tried and failed to push herself out of her awkward position, and into something less neck pinching. What she ended up with, was a flop over onto her side, where she blinked a few times and started to giggle again. Really, watching that robot was hilarious to her, much like a three year old would think an ant trying to drag a cheerio up a wall was funny...
The answer to Aura's question become very clear as her friend was tossed rather violently. The robot tore the jacket from it's eyes, just as Aura's blade cut deepy into the knee joint of the robot. Stepping back Aura watched as the robot stood then the machine gave out and fell. Changeing her Aura to a hammer Aura prepared to meet the falling robot before it fell on her, swinging with all her might shr struck the shoulder of the robot with enough force to keep it from falling on her, still it fell just inches away, Aura's aura had also faded quite a bit.
Stabbing The Robot in the back of the head, Aura twisted the blade, even as it faded away from her body, as she made her way to her friend, rubbing her own arm as she did, that had stunng a bit, she knew if the robot fell on her she would have been crushed. Still it was best to insure they really were down. Making her way to Andrea she kneeled down looking her over. "How you fell, that looked like a rough landing?" she said tilting her head.
Breathing hard Aura took a few steps beside andrea and slid down the wall herself, wiping away sweat. pulling out her cellphone. SHe had not quite cought what her friend said before and so was unsure anything was wrong. "you did good though, saved me from another infirmary visit, got them on speed dial" she said with a smile, which was true despite the infirmary being relatively close. Aura decided to use the speed dial function before andrea answered. Not for the first time aura was happy for the protection her aura gave her, even if she had used most of her power in what was suppose to be a demonstration.
The robot vanished from view. A few nuts and bolts, and some springs as well, went flying from behind the bar stool, and Andrea could only assume it had been dealt with. She pushed herself into a more comfortable position, rubbing at the back of her head where it hurt the most, and blinking. Was it just her, or was the room tilted oddly just a little? A few more blinks seemed to right the problem. She figured a few of her own nuts and bolts had been jolted loose when skull met wall, and let her concern slip away. Aura slipped into her field of vision and the Greek turned her eyes on the girl. The eyes protested, and sent a jolt of pain as well as a sudden case of tunnel vision her way. A groan and a little eye rubbing later and she felt better. "...Yeah... Being upside down like that is... most uncomfortable..." Wrinkling her nose, she adjusted her position more as Aura sat and closed her eyes in hopes of alleviating the small headache she could feel setting in. Aura spoke again, of speed dials, and Andrea dropped her eyes to the phone.
She needed to get one of those... some time soon. "I am going to guess that training is always this.... dangerous?" Apparently training in their books was a lot different than her definition. Personally, she would still have been set up for defeat even if she had been wearing mounds of safety gear and her robot had been a toaster with spoon legs and fork arms....
As her headache finally set in, she grimaced and checked to see if her watch was still attached to her wrist. It was, and thankfully it looked about the right time for her to shuffle out of the Sanctuary and head home for some much needed rest and soul searching... a lot of soul searching. She hadn't completely forgotten about the events that had happened just a little while ago...out on the steps... but Aura's pleasantness had been confusing enough that she didn't have the capacity at the moment to cry, or freak out... That, as much as she hated to admit it, would come when she was in bed, after her mind had a moment to fully process what had happened... She felt suddenly sorry for Verdy...who, if she was home, would have quite a mess on her hands. Shaking her thoughts away, she placed a hand on the wall and forced herself up on once again wobbly legs.
"I surprised myself... I must say. I have never attacked a robot before... " With a wince, she moved to gather up her coat. "That being said....I think a good rest is needed for this little Greek... " Her hand moved to her temple, trying to rub away her headache, and she glanced at the door. "Would you mind terribly walking me to the front door?... I can not remember how we got here..." A somewhat nervous smile twitched into existence on her lips and she scratched at the back of her head carefully.
"Well no, not normally, i learned how to disable the safety protocols on the robots, for my simulations and even that is not normally done. But to learn the force my Aura can take before it snaps, the force needs be lethal." she said which was not completely true. Aura simply preferred to feel the pain of the exercises she went through. Still her actions had but this woman in danger and she did feel bad about that. She resigned herself to be more careful in the future.
"Actually many come in here simply for target practice or just to exercise either on their own or in groups. I might be just a little more use to the day to day violence that can be ones existence as a mutant then others" she said with a shrug. "Still the important thing is you found out your pretty brave and you think quick on your feet when you need to." She said with a smile, Aura was sure that these lessons were far more valuable then anything else she could have tought the woman.
"No trouble, if your not feeling well we do have medical facillitys on site, or i can get you a car rise home" she siad offering as she stood up. Aura looked back with a pleasant smile to make sure the other girl, could follow her, then proceeded to guide her to the door. Aura made sure to pull a card off of Lisa's desk before they actually made the door and opened it. Their was no sign of blood or that anything abnormal had taken place, even the grass was without stain. Presenting the sanctuary card Aura spoke "If you ever need help, we are here" she said walking out the door a few steps herself.
