The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

The words simply washed over Kealey in a garbled wave. The emotions emanating from the man who was holding her were simply too strong for her to concentrate on anything else. The fear and the anger and the menace and the…bravery. The voice was still there, the person stepping out of the crowd to save her. Part of Kealey’s struggling mind screamed out to him, grateful and desperate for the help. Another part of her fought against it, angry that she wasn’t able to take care of herself. The crowd had quieted some, due to her mutant interference, but the rolling fear was still so great her body simply couldn’t respond. She hung limp in the huge hands of the bank robber.
She was moving through the air then, and Kealey’s panicked and incensed gaze fell on her unlikely hero. Her unlikely, terrified hero. The guy from the coffee shop? The one with the wandering eyes. He was strong enough to hold her up as they moved away from the giant, and a new emotion crept into the near hysteria that gripped the blond and made her feet tangle in one another as he moved her. She started laughing. The disconnected part of Kealey’s brain, the part watching everything else and shaking its head found it odd that this was what broke through…but there it was.
She clung to her rescuer and took the comfort for what it was worth, he was brave and terrified. If nothing else, she could be compliant…at least to the degree that her traitorous body would allow.

Tythan shuddered nervously. Thankfully there hadn't been any casualties...yet. But that didn't change the fact that he was in a bank that was being robbed... something that didn't happen too often in small town Canada. The woman who had been unable to move was no longer in mortal peril, but she was laughing, as if the whole thing was a joke. It was strange, she sounded like she was insane or something.
Just calm down Tythan, nobody's gonna die, everythings fine, he thought. Oddly enough, his comforting actually worked; his racing heart slowed down a bit, the fear that commanded all of his brain power subsided somewhat, and the thoughts that lay underneath were able to take the stage.
I need to do something. I have to help the situation, i mean isn't that what the x-men do, help people, use their mutations for the good of mankind. No. I can't do anything i don't have to be the hero. What could i do anyways, i mean it's kind of obvious if i just suddenly disappear. But there has to be something...
He looked around. He was at the front of the crowd, but on the side, right up against the wall... and next to a lightswitch. Granted, turning off the lights wouldn't do much besides draw attention to himself, but what if there was a power outage in the whole building? It might cause just enough confusion to give an edge to the hostages and the police who would arrive shortly. And assuming he wasn't seen, it couldn't be blamed on anything but a blown fuse or something of the sort.
He didn't know if he could do it though. The wires weren't a problem the electrical system was likely all connected, so it functioned as one object when it came to merging. The size wasn't too terrible either. It was extensive, but wires don't take up a whole lot of volume. The real issue was whether he could shut off the electricity through merging. He knew he could control objects to an extent when he merged, but this was something new entirely.
In any case, he couldn't merge now, the giantesque figure's gaze was currently in his direction, or rather the rescued woman and her rescuer. He'd make his move the next time the giant turned. He just hoped he didn't get killed int the process.
Saturn peeked around the corner to see Jupiter looking hungrily at the crowd like a wolf on the edge of a herd of sheep just waiting for one to bleat at him and end its life. If Saturn arrived a moment before he wouldn’t have believed the lack of punishment for speaking against Jupiter. But there it was.
Jupiter Grimaced as he watched the Man shuffle the woman to the corner, He had seen the woman around the Sanctuary, somewhere, he wasn’t sure when but something about her stuck in his mind. The infirmary maybe…she didn’t stay long…was she the one that was beat up by the guy in the subway? He went hunting that night looking for predators…but found nothing, not a trace to to track, or clues to follow. He wanted to kill whoever had broken that pretty face. He set the Motorcycles down as he watched Saturn round the corner. He glanced around and put a potted plant in his big money bag, it was silly but he felt like if he left with out having something in his bag, well it wasn’t worth the visit.
Saturn jogged over to his bike and the pair was soon revving their engines in the bank in but a moment they would be gone into the night they settled in and the drama was almost over. There still wasn’t an officer in sight. The pair rolled their motorcycles forward cautiously eyeing the street for an ambush. There was none to be had.
It took a moment for Aurum's mind to recognize that thought. Even longer to dignify it with a proper response. His heart was racing. He was running on adrenaline, and so...
"Coffee?" He looked at the blond woman he'd rescued from certain shoulder-toting doom. Maybe she could use a cup?

Kealey knew as soon as the giants left. She’d stopped looking at them as soon as Aurum started leading her away from the one who had tossed her over his shoulder. The laugher hadn’t abated until the immense rush of emotion that accompanied such large men disappeared. Somehow it was easier to deal with a panicked crowd of people as opposed to two rampaging giants. Maybe it had something to do with the fact that they weren’t really panicked anymore. Now it was intense relief that Kealey was trying to battle.
One would think that intense relief would be, well….a relief after such a harrowing experience. The truth of the matter was, though, relief was almost as bad as panic when it was coming from a number of different sources. Too much relaxation was definitely a bad thing, and Kealey found herself leaning a little more heavily on Aurum that she probably should have been. Especially since he was such a lecher.
Then he asked her if she wanted coffee.
Kealey bristled, but was absolutely shocked to hear herself say, ”Absolutely.” There was just no telling what a person did in intensely emotional situations.
