"Alright then. If I haven't, I'll have to give you the full show... hmm... might spook the pooch." Shin suddenly remembered Thor. He reached down to scratch the Siberian husky's chin. "Good boy. Yes, you are." Thor had been sitting patiently all this time. Well then, if Shin was to show her his mutation, they'd have to do something about the dog. He looked upwards a moment, tapping his chin in thought.

"Guess I could take him back up to my room, and help you find yours, put away any luggage you need put away, then take you to the danger room for a demonstration..." Because they'd want to be in the Danger Room to demonstrate this. Shin definitely wanted to show off. Plus, if she needed to practice her control, she'd find out about the Danger Room soon enough. In fact. Shin opened his mouth to explain. "The Danger Room's this special area where mutants can train their abilities. There's fancy light shows and crazy robots... and usually, it's a bit safer than doing this sort of training thing out in the back garden. What with explosive personalities and gale force gals around."

And maybe while he was taking care of all this stuff, he'd give her the tour? The Asian slipped the papers away into a folder, and turned towards his computer.

Shin tapped some things onto his keyboard with a muttered 'Excuse me a moment', and after a minute of typing, he reached into a drawer. "Your key." He held a room key out for her with a smile.

The albino mutant known as Emi looked with a softened expression, her thoughts were that Shin really cared for his dog... Part of her was envious of Shin and Thor for having each other as friends and comrades while Emil was basically alone on the road.... Pushing the dark thought back she mustered up a warm smile. "You must really care for you're dog Shin." Stroking her hair back to push away a stray lock she smiled as she watched the Asian male interact with his furry friend.

"It must be nice... Back home I wasn't allowed a pet and the Boarding school didn't allow pets either due to some children being allergic..." She commented almost wistfully as she continued listening to what the elder mutant had to say. Nodding she got up taking her coat and her duffel bag in hand. When he gave her her key she smiled again though a small spread of a blush covered her nose. "Thank you." Taking the key in her free hand she stood completely up and waited for him.

She was curious about this "Danger Room" and how he described it made this place seem more interesting by the minute! But first... "Um.. Shin sir? Do you know where my room is? I need to change into lighter clothes..." Emi admitted bashful. Hopefully he understood she was still getting used to the warmer environments even the fall and winter here up in Northern America was nothing like back in Mother Russia! It would take time for her to get used to things and lighter clothing. Oh well the pale eyed Shadowmancer had plenty of time to adjust... She just needed some help is all.

>>"You must really care for you're dog Shin." Emi spoke.

Shin smiled at her with a nod. "Yeah."

Pets were great. It was nice having something in your life you could take care of, that gave you unconditional love, set your schedule in motion, and bred responsibility like scientists breed fruit flies. It was kind of sad Emil couldn't have pets when she'd been younger, but Shin understood how that went. One kid had an allergy, and everyone had to adapt to them. He was lucky nobody at the mansion had an inexplicable weakness to dog fur.

>>Um.. Shin sir? Do you know where my room is? I need to change into lighter clothes..."

"We can stop off at your room on the way to mine. Follow me," Shin smiled. He bent to grab Thor's leash, then led the dog and the girl from his office, through the halls, and up a flight of stairs to the girls' side of the dormitories. He stopped in front of a room, and nodded towards Emil.

"This is your room. You're lucky we had some singles left. Sometimes, we have to double students up with a roommate." He waited patiently for her to do what she had to do.

A surprised look was on her face as Emil realized she had a whole room to herself! After following Shin and his pet Husky Thor she smiled and quickly rushed into her room. Quickly not feeling she wanted to waste time examining her new room, she got to her bag and began pulling out some random clothing. "O-Okay I'm ready, sorry for the wait!" When Emil came out she was wearing a purple long sleeved light shirt with green vine designs on the bottom left.

Over it she wore a white jean vest. Her heavy pants were replaced with snug blue jeans and she now wore a pair of hightop sneakers. Though she was still dressed warm at least it was an improvement from her heavy winter wear. Tilting her head she stared at Shin. "Um.. So where are we going next?" She questioned nervous, though curious. Her room could wait later- she wanted to see the rest of the mansion!

"My room, then Danger Room," Shin replied. He tugged Thor's leash, and began walking down the hall. After a minute or so, he stopped in front of a door. He reached into his pocket for a key. "Excuse me a moment," He held up a finger. The lock clicked. Shin and Thor vanished into the room.

"There you go," Shin smiled as food rattled into Thor's dish. He shook out a few more pellets, then set the bag of dog food back in the closet, and closed the door. Thor rushed to chow down. Turning, Shin pulled off his pink sweatshirt and tossed it to the bed. It was too hot for that sort of thing inside the mansion. He'd settle for the black and red t-shirt underneath. Across the chest, a red circular symbol from the series 'Fullmetal Alchemist' was painted. Shin slipped out the door again, locking it behind him.

"There," Shin smiled at Emil. "Now that that's settled, onto the danger room. Follow me," he led the way downstairs. After a few minutes of walking through what felt to Shin like subterranean hallways, they came to the secured door of the room. Shin pressed his hand against the scanner. The lock sprang open, flashing the words 'approved' across the screen. Shin nodded to Emil, and walked into the room.

It was massive. That was the first thing she'd be able to notice as lights sprang on. Massive, and metal, with a glass window on the wall above them. A panel hung by the staircase that led to the window. Shin walked over to this panel, and started tapping keys. He glanced back at Emil. "So. What's your favorite color?"

The ghostly pale teen gingerly followed the elder tanned mutant to what was his room. Blinking she watched as he took out a key and asked her to wait for a moment. Nodding as there was no need to be verbal for something as simple as this, she waited for a few minutes which was all it took for Shin to come back out of his room. Pale eyes widened for a moment as she blushed a soft pink at his new outfit [or shirt] For some odd reason Emil felt as though the black and red suited him... Looking away quickly as she avoided his eyes she listened to him again and now nodded already seeing he was heading down the hall.

She froze for a moment before she snapped to reality and quickly caught up with his pace. When they entered the hall that lead to the Danger Room, Emi couldn't help but think of those blockbuster scifi movies that came on American television for some odd reason. Even more so the thought was solidified as Shin opened the large metal door with everything you would see in those type of movies! When the door opened Emi scrunched her eyes closed feeling the intense light painful for her.

For one who was used to the dark it was pretty annoying to be bombarded with sudden light. Opening her eyes she let her eyes adjust which took a few good seconds, only to have them widen in pure shock at the room before her! She expected for the room to be big- but not THIS big! It was like stepping into a metal arena of sorts or even a lab [which was most likely more accurate].

Watching as Shin moved to a panel and began typing she felt slightly confused on why he asked her such a strange question.... "My favorite color?" She echoed. "Um.. well light shades of cool colors... mostly lilac or lavender or a pale blue or a mint green... But if I had to choose one it would be lavender..." Unsure of where this was going she simply took her time to look around the danger room wondering what Shin was going to do and how this place worked, holding back the urge to poke something metal to see if it would react.

The room looked High tech enough to be "alive" after all.. Or at least that's what Emi thought, however her better judgment told her not to tamper with anything and instead she walked to the center of the large expansive room looking around in awe.

>>"Um.. well light shades of cool colors... mostly lilac or lavender or a pale blue or a mint green... But if I had to choose one it would be lavender..."

Lavender. "M'kay." Shin tapped a key and leaned inwards, towards the panel. "Lavender." He repeated clearly. The computer responded coolly as a light shade of lavender spread across the floor, ceiling, and walls. It lapped up the metallic color on the floor like waves splashing on the beach. Shin turned back towards Emil as a final tidal wave of color crashed against the wall behind his back. A light smirk was on his face. "Impressed yet?" He rested a hand on his hip.

Emil stared wide eyed in awe as the room became engulfed in her favorite color! She watched as the colors much like an ocean wave splashed color onto the metallic surface of the room. Mouth a gap she had no words to say that could express her amazement! Such technology! It was - "A-Amazing!"

Impressed was an understatement

Though once her awe died down a questioning look crossed her features as pale eyes looked over to Shin. "Not to ask stupid questions- but what does this have to do with your powers?" It was a purely innocent question one based on the fact that she came her to see his powers not to see a room change color- to put it bluntly, though she was intrigued by the danger room she was more interested in Shin- or well his powers! Y-Yes- his powers!

Why would she be interested in someone she just met?! That's absurd! I mean to be like that would mean she had a crush on him instantly and that only happened in- movies... right? Blinking she blushed at her sudden rudeness and scratched her head in embarrassment. "W-What I mean is... Um... Sorry! I didn't men to be rude... I'm just curious about your mutation..."

Once more Emi found herself blushing a tomato red across her nose and cheeks... Some things never change she supposed... But- still why was she starting to feel- odd around Shin? It made no sense! Shaking the thought away mentally she looked bashful at the now lavender floor and waited for his response.

>>"Not to ask stupid questions- but what does this have to do with your powers?" Emil started, then instantly corrected herself. "W-What I mean is... Um... Sorry! I didn't men to be rude... I'm just curious about your mutation..."

Shin laughed. "Nothing, I guess. I was just showing off. This," he held up his right hand, index finger pointed upwards ahead of him. A lavender triangle sprang up on his fingertip, sharp-side pointed downwards. It spun for a second, then floated up to join three more. They formed the sides of a pyramid as they drifted around Emil, then back to Shin.

It landed on top of his outstretched palm. As he closed his hand, the triangle vanished into nothingness. Shin smiled. He looked pleased with himself. "That was my power."

"Now, do you mind showing me yours?"

This Earthquake weather has got me shaking
Inside I'm high up and Dry...

A gasp elicited from her as the shy teen watched the lavender shards surround her than return to their creator before dissipating. Lavender... her favorite color- 'How thoughtful and sweet.' She thought a blush marring her cheeks once more. However as she stood there unsure what to do next, the silence for that moment made her nervous. It was broken when he asked her to show her powers.

She- She couldn't do that....

'I have no strength.... I'm a weak girl who can't control her powers.' Depression began to set in as she realized that her fear was overwhelming. Looking down at her toes she couldn't help but feel fearful and dejected. What- What if she hurt herself? Or hurt him?! She- no... she didn't know what the outcome would be! She was afraid, afraid of what her powers would do! But- as fearful as she was, she wanted to try- to become stronger she needed to think positive! Looking up she began top stare- at what? Well at nothing really. This took concentration something that took stress on her but was necessary.

silence reigned as she pulled her emotions under control to the best of her abilities. It wouldn't be easy searching through the sea of conflicting thoughts and feelings to come forth with one that she hoped would be less- angry... Slowly her shadow began to bubble it began to morph and squirm as though it was alive. the shadow much like rubber stretched out from behind Emil forming a pointed dog shaped head. Four bright blue glowing eyes appeared on it.

Next came a leg clawed it reached out to touch solid ground. Onward like a movie projector the body of a strange lithe creature formed down to it's lizard like tail. It's eyes glowed an eerie star blue while it's equally blue tongue slid out of it's mouth for a moment. The final touch was added when the blue undertones appeared morphing into it's skin. Finally free from her shadow it gave an inhuman yowl as it trotted around Emil than ran around the room sniffing.

It was like- a dog... It perked it's ears as it looked at Shin Emil gave a gasp as it reared it's body and went to run and pounce at the Asian man, fearful Emil screamed willing the beast back. Before it reached the panel it disintegrated into inky splotches that floated above the floor... Slowly they formed back into Emil's shadow as she felt her legs give out in fear and shock... She couldn't think, and just thought-

What could of happened if she couldn't stop it?

Every blush, every shift, every downward glance, Shin took note of. Each portion of the motion of summoning the titan was filed away. Shin knew... Emil had told her... that these shadow creatures were beings of emotion. It made sense she'd have to feel in order to bring them to life.

For a moment, Shin worried he'd asked her too much. Some people might fear that side of themselves... that side of their power. They might worry about the lack of control. If she didn't want to, all she had to do was tell him. He'd be fine with that answer. They'd be fine.

She was already accepted, after all. This display was just formality. Something to to suit Shin's curiosity. He didn't have to see.

His worries vanished as she looked up again, concentration visible from that glint in her eye.

Shin knew she could do it. He had faith that any student who came to the mansion could learn some degree of control over their abilities. All it took was determination. All it took was inner strength. For the moment, a smile worked its way onto his face. It seemed she'd found hers.

Shin's eyes focused on the roiling form behind her. Slowly, the shadow rose to take a form. Dog-shaped... Shin searched his mind for what emotion dog-shaped shadows connected to. Was it fear? ... or was it joy? Loyalty! That was it. Shin dropped a fist into his palm as he found the correct emotion.

So, she was working with loyalty, and that beast... Its eyes glowed bright blue. It was scary. For a second, Shin's mind fell back to earlier that evening, when he'd met her. Had she thought... Thor's vicious visage any scarier than this?

A clawed leg struck out. The shadow's form kept getting clearer and clearer. Shin was impressed. Finally, it let out a sound! Blue undertones became visible. It had taken shape!

The dog moved around the room, like a dog, sniffing the air as it trotted towards its master. Shin held a hand over his heart. "Wow."

Then, suddenly, it sensed him. It reared back, and rushed towards him. Shin's eyes widened in surprise. "Eh!?"

Emil screamed. The beast vanished, back into Emil's shadow as Shin stumbled backwards, onto his backside. Emil's legs gave way. Shin rubbed his tush.

"Guess I asked for that," He laughed weakly, squinting one eye. With a sigh, he rolled to his feet. Took a few steps to stand in front of Emil, and held out his hand. "That was good... with a bit more practice, you should be able to control it a bit more... don't worry about it nearly attacking me. I've been through worse," He smiled lightly. "Here, let me help you up."

Heart Lost & Confused

How could he- just forgive her like that? So-so simply? She almost- she could of!- Yet he smiled and acted as though it was a good joke! Was he insane or was he just that weird? Part of her wanted to yell at him and scold him for simply waving the whole event off like nothing! Yet the other part of her couldn't help but commend his nonchalant and Brave attitude.

Laughing in the face of Danger - somehow seemed to fit this man for the moment. He was- odd. But likable, and strangely Emil's heart seemed to speed up. Maybe it was just the adrenaline rush left over from the scare?

Yeah- that was probably it. Her breath was lost in her throat she couldn't form a single word... Her infamous blush formed on her features once more as she stared wide eyed at the man before her- like- like she couldn't figure him out, like he was a new being that deserved to be looked upon with awe..... Maybe-maybe some form of light dawning on her that made Emi realize- She was attracted to Shin!

It was small and almost nonexistent but it was there. Her mind may not acknowledge it, however her emotions did. Taking his hand she stood up before quickly letting go and cradling her hand as though she was burned, her face lite up in a tomato red as she blushed her head turned down and away from Shin. "T-Thank You... For being so forgiving S-Shin..."

She didn't call him 'Sir'....

Maybe- No she was in Denial.

She liked Him- Yet Emil didn't even know it yet...

Baby, I think I need a doctor- cause' this is all too soon...

"Don't mention it," Shin replied politely, with a modest smile. If the situations had been reversed, he'd have hoped the other person would do the same. In his line of work, helping students learn to cope with, and control their powers, he had to be accepting and forgiving. Really, this was nothing to him.

It seemed like it was a lot to Emil. My, but did she always blush that much? Shin scratched his neck with a weak laugh. The last time he'd seen a blush like that had been when Kasumi had confessed her feelings for him, but that couldn't be it! No! Shin was entirely clueless here. He'd only just met her. He had no way to know if she blushed this deeply with every cute guy, with every person, or with every inanimate object? As far as Shin was aware, this crimson shade on the girl's cheek could have been related to her powers... it'd be rude to tease her about that, right?

"So," Shin started, turning his back to Emil and looking up at the glass window above the danger room. He rested his hands on his hips. "What do you want to do next? As far as my job is concerned, you're accepted. Welcome to the mansion, Emil. Do you... want a tour?" He glanced over his shoulder at the blushing girl.

The Game is Over I hold no regrets

The pale girl stopped blushing as she seemed suddenly shocked now! She couldn't hold her verbal Thoughts back anymore as she blurted out "It's O-Over Already?!" Clasping her hands over her mouth she blushed in embarrassment. How could she say that?! Ooo! Now he would think her as some obsessive stalker pervert or something! Waving her hands in the air suddenly she tried to reword herself in a fuss.

"N-No that not what I meant! I mean- I mean... Um... Sorry!" She went to turn away only for her nervousness caused her to trip suddenly! In her panic she hit the floor but catching herself on her knees. She blushed even more to add to the awkwardness as she tried calming herself down. "I-I'm fine!" slowly she got up and spoke looking at the ground while walking to the door. "And- I- don't need a tour, I can search around by myself..." She spoke quietly before hurrying out the Danger Room Exit to her room.....

She REALLY screwed up now...

Emil needs to interact more.

Yeah. Defiantly.
