The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

"Awwwwwww..." she whined having her attack stopped and then being grabbed by her arm. She caught his looked and her eyes widened and glazed over with moisture. Another one of her famous expressions that she'd use to evade trouble and punishment. Only someone as cute as her could pull it off.
"And what room are you talking about? There's a room for Sailor Soldiers to train?" she asked as her face remained the same, a little shakiness to her voice for more emotion. "I'm sorry, Tetsuya-san, I'm sorry I want to defend the world against the enemies of our solar system" she started to shed some tears. It was easy, she just thought of dead puppies. God, she should be an actress.

"Close enough," Shin snapped. She was giving him the patented waterworks routine that melted everyone's hearts. The widened eyes with the glazing like jelly donuts, and the shaky voice that didn't work. He pulled her towards the exit, without another word.
He'd show her. He'd show her a place she could really train. One that was made for kinetic blasting and headbutts. After a few hushed minutes of walking (during which he ignored her plentiful questions), Shin stopped outside the doors to the danger room. He placed a hand on the scanpad. The doors slid open. Shin pulled her in.
"Here," He let go of Kokoro, allowing her to stumble forward into the room. "Shoot lasers, knock walls in. This is the room you can let your powers go wild in. I really doubt you'd be able to break it like the walls back home..." Shin crossed his arms with a smirk. "Though now I bet you'd like to try?"
...Ok, so the water works didn't exactly phase him, but that didn't matter. There was always next time. Yes, like Dr. Claw always said, Next time, Gadget, next time! In the meantime, Kokoro dried up her play tears and went back to ooing and awing as she was dragged through the mansion and to the danger room.
"Oooooh...." she smiled walking into the room and staring up, doing a complete spin to take it all in. She looked back at him after he mentioned the breaking of the walls at home with her abilities. She shrugged at his last question. "I don't intentionally try to break stuff you know. It just kind of happens. I can't help it!" she cried throwing up her arms and sighed. "But, this place is pretty cool. I'll definitely have to break it in some time. However, I should probably try to get settled in...unpack my stuff, you know?" she strolled over and wrapped her arms around Shin's torso, looking back up at him with a goofy grin. "Thank you for taking me in. I really do appreciate it. You're the best, anyone who says otherwise, I'll kick her ass...errr, um, booty. Yeah. Booty."

Ah, right. She had to unpack first. Silly Shin, thinking she'd be more than willing to avoid unpacking if the opportunity arose to break things. Especially his things. That was some opportunity she was passing up. As she strolled over to hug him, Shin was tempted to check and see if Kokoro had a fever. Was she sure she was feeling alright? He smiled, all the same.
"Yeah, don't mention it. I guess we should get you unpacked before I show you around and share all the cool little action doodads and places I train in. Suppose there's plenty of time for that later... though hold on a tick..." He sneaked out of her hug and broke into a half-run towards the wall panel. A few hasty button pushes later, he turned back to her with a dopey grin on par with her own.
"Danger room, Welcome Ceremony. Fireworks."
The danger room went black. Drums began to roll. With a screech, the first hologram bottle rocket flew from somewhere in the danger room to light up the sky. Another flew after it! Soon, fireworks filled the faux-sky of the danger room, spelling out 'welcome to the mansion!'
Yes, it was all far too much. Really. But then again, the Shinbo family had a thing for going over the top.
"Ahhhhahahahah!" Kokoro screamed giddily at...well everything that had just happened in the last minute. It was a fabulous display of how awesome this room was. Yep, she would definitely be coming here in her spare time for fun. The fire works were just awesome and she jumped up and down in excitement thinking of all the holographic Gundam battles and Sailor Wars to come. Most of all, she was just happy that maybe, just maybe she had found a place to belong now that she was among other freaks.
"Excellent work, Tetsuya-san. Koko-chan is very pleased with your feeding and welcoming me. Now, we should probably get to those bags..." she trailed off as her eyes widened at the remembered of a certain object or, well creature she had stashed away in her duffle bag. "MUGHI!"
The name she creamed belong to that of her pet bunny ...she could have sworn she unzipped it a bit for air to flow in...then again she could have flaked and forgotten. At least she'd get to keep the foot for good luck? The thought of that just crushed her instantly and she fell forward face planting into the floor. "Uguuuuu~" she groaned in both the agony of losing her beloved pet and the pain of having just slammed her face into the floor.
...No cute furry animals will not die during the making of this thread. Moments later, said bunny came hopping on into the danger room over to the two asian mutants. She felt a nibbling at her hair and she looked up excitedly and grabbed the rabbit for a good snugging. "Mughi-chan! You lived! I guess you must have wiggled your way on out of that bag. I'm surprised you made your way down here." she smiled and held him out to Shin. "Mughi-chan, you remember Tetsuya-san?" she said. The rabbit's nose twitched, as did it's legs while leaving small little brown presents on the floor.

Big.
Massive.
Grin.
He couldn't hide the stupid smile. Her reaction to the Danger Room was just too priceless. Fireworks flared on the ceiling, rockets glared, and she screamed and laughed so hard, it should have been illegal. As the fireworks died down, Kokoro turned to Shin. He rested his hands on his hips smugly, awaiting exaltation.
>>"Excellent work, Tetsuya-san. Koko-chan is very pleased with your feeding and welcoming me. Now, we should probably get to those bags..."
A look of realization split her face in two.
>>"MUGHI!"
Shin's face inverted coloration in shock.
That.
Darn.
Rabbit.
She'd brought her rabbit, all the way from Japan? How'd she gotten it through customs? Did they even allow pets like that in the mansion (dogs withstanding, Shin hadn't seen much else other than the occasional Cammie-Cat). Perhaps, He rolled the thought slowly in his head as she 'uguu'd. The rabbit would be civilized. Maybe it had grown in maturity since the last time it had soiled Shin's shoes.... Maybe.
Alas, it was not so. Hoppity hoppity hoppity hoppity, fur-ears on his way. The rabbit entered the Danger Room and nibbled on Kokoro's hair.
"How did it..." Get down a flight of stairs, through several layers of mansion security, and into the danger room before someone had found it, hugged it, and stowed it away for good luck...?
>> "Mughi-chan! You lived! I guess you must have wiggled your way on out of that bag. I'm surprised you made your way down here." She said.
Shin opened his mouth to utter three syllables. "No kidding."
Kokoro smiled, holding the rabbit out towards Shin. And then it...
No. Such. Luck. Shin's face fell.
>>"...I'm not cleaning that up."
"Danger Room, cleanup drone?"
A robot rolled out from some suddenly-appearing doggy door in the wall to scoop up the poo. Sometimes, Shin loved the Danger Room. This was one of those times.
"So, let's get your things put away now. You didn't... bring any other pets with you, did you?" Shin eyes his cousin. Because he damn well knew she had a cat somewhere, and took to animals like a pink-weilding Auramancer took to skunks and human flesh.
