The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

The meeting had finished and the ideas were running amuck with the possibilities and the thoroughness that he can conduct the training with. He’d never run a major X-Men tryout before so this was going to try and do this as best as he can. And with Raina’s help it would probably be the best tryout he could make up. The Danger Room was dark, and the only light that shown was from the God Room. He was setting up a tryout that would, as far as he could think, would push the entire team to their limits. Power wise, team work wise, and even morality wise it was important because everything they did would determine the results of these trials.
Each decision would bring about a different result. Their first test would bring about a particular dilemma for them. Showed up hours before the time when the training was scheduled to start. Streak needed time to think about what would bring about the best results; and possibly the most interesting ones as well. Experimenting seemed to be the best way for him to understand what areas would be the best parts for them. During this spare time Streak felt like he probably ran through about a dozen different simulations. Each brought about a different result but none were the results he was looking for. Finally he found one that seemed to suit his needs the best. He’d taken plenty of time to do the research on the people that he’d be trying out so he had a general idea of what each one would be able to do while they were put into different situations.
It was one that even he thought he might not be able to finish. Streak settled on that one as he hoped that Raina would soon join him so that he could get her approval on this one. It was going to be a tricky one and some might even say cruel to a point. But it was beatable and he wasn’t going to pull any punches with this group. He wanted to make sure that if they were going to be on the team they would be ready for anything. The Danger Room was still dark and he wanted to keep it that way so that they wouldn’t even get the smallest sense of what might be.
No matter how many times she did it, no matter how many times she needed to be prompt, Fade had never been able to just wake up early and start out her day fresh. While many different people may think that early is around 6 am, early was any time Fade did not want to wake up, and right now, she did not want to wake up. The alarm next to her bed sounded, who knew what time it was, but it was time for this tryout thing to happen and she was far from happy to jump up into her running shoes and take this on. Funny how she had to tryout again, but she would still have fun.
To try to wake herself up, she jumped in the shower and and towel dried her hair. Dressed in sweat pants and a regular tee shirt, with a few holes if you looked close enough, she walked down the hall and made her way to the Danger Room. My my my, it was so good to be home. A little bonus for the day happened to be who would be hosting her tryout, Shawn, who was very good looking and an easy guy to talk to. Lucky for her, she had taken a Danger Room session with Shawn a while back and she was excited to do this again. Apparently Raina would be joining her, but she hardly knew much about Raina.
When she reached the Danger Room, she went on in and waved hello to Shawn. "Hey there. Good to see you in the Danger Room again," she smiled before taking a seat. Some girls might come skipping in and just prance all around him, or any of those other cute X-Boys, but Fade just appreciated a good face and what made it better was that Streak was a fun guy, their last training session was delightful with all those dives from airplanes and landing in water and swimming around.

Kasumi in bed 6am rolled around she taped her clock off. She got out of bed and rolled her shoulders. She lets out a yawn this is the day for the tryouts. Kasumi gets out of her bed making it soon she gets what she needs she takes a shower soon getting out. She drys her body off she puts on a pair of yoga pants that are black. Soon her sports bra with a dark green tank top over it. She puts on her socks with a pair of running shoes. Kasumi brushes her hair out soon she pulls her hair up into a bun with her jade frog bun cover.
She gets out of her room as she walks down the hall. Soon she is in the danger room Kasumi can not help but to smile a little form it. The training she did with Shin soon she shakes her head as she sees some other people are there. She waves to them feeling a little bit shy. Yet Kasumi is always shy that is the way that she is.
Some of her fears that she can not do the tryouts yet she thinks that she can. Kasumi can not be scared. She has to make sure that she can do this. She wants to be an X-men this is part of becoming one. She nods to herself as she closes her eyes. She can not dough herself today she has to see her own powers that she has. Kasumi is strong yet she does not see it yet.
What does it take to be an X-man? Courage, a strong heart and compassion for others? All that mushy super hero stuff. Dominic didn't really know if he had what it really took to sport a uniform. To defend those who feared him and the rest mutant kind. Not to mention the pressure he felt like he was under considering that his own brother was one of the leaders of the X-men. Today would be the day he'd have to prove himself of being a worthy new addition to the team. He just hoped he didn't screw anything up today. That he didn't get hurt or cause anyone else to. One positive thing about it was that Streak was the one to be giving the test. Not to say that Streak was easier than Sam but Dominic felt like Sam would put the simulation on uber certain death mode to try and single him out. Hopefully Streak had a heart and wouldn't do that. Hopefully.
After a hot shower and slipping into a tank top and basket ball shorts, Dominic left his room and entered the Danger Room. The cold was sort of cold. He'd decide to do this session barefoot because it felt natural and he figure he'd give a better performance. Not to his surprise, two people were already in the Danger Room. Pretty red head number one and pretty red head number two....or Fade and Kasumi rather. "What's up? You ladies are looking lovely today. Maybe this session will be a success. Good luck has already graced me with your presence" Dominic said bowing slightly. Call him corny if you want, but the kid had a natural talent for flattering women. Maybe he still stood a chance of stealing Alexandra from Sam? If hell could freeze over, it would have with that thought.

(OOC: Gmoding permission given by Raina)
The one person he’d been hoping would show up to help him finally showed. Raina quickly joined Streak in the God Room and he filled her in on the ideas that he had with this trial. She threw in some opinions and Streak tweaked the program just a little bit. Together they awaited the arrival of their three participants. Once Fade, Kasumi, and Dominic had arrived Streak walked down to the main Danger Room area. It was time for the show. “Hey Fade. Does it feel weird trying out again for the xmen?” Streak asked a little rhetorically before moving on to the others that had shown up. “Kasumi, I’m glad up came. And Dom…” Streak smiled turning to him. “I’m not pulling any punches here, in case you were wondering.”
Streak’s little greetings were mainly so that he could lighten the mood before it became serious again. “Alright so if yall are ready we’ll go ahead and start this thing.” Streak said standing in front of the three of them. “Now...” Streak began getting the trio’s attention. “We’ve created a simulation here which is something that we run into a lot as X-Men. On this side…” Shawn indicated the area in the room to his left. “we have the humans who don’t like us. And on the other side…” this time he indicated his right, “we have a mix of mutants that want equality, mutants that want dominion over humans and even a few humans that are sympathetic towards us.” Lights started to come on, dimly at first, showing the frozen faces in the two crowds.
As the lights got brighter they were able to see military and police personnel keeping things at bay as the crowds looked rowdy and unruly. There were people elevated from the rest of the crowd and podiums with mics all around. “This simulation is a tricky one. It may seem like it’s mostly finished for you but your jobs are to maintain the peace. And if something gets out of hand the first thing you do is protect the innocent. In other words yall have to decide which side to help. If something goes awry then who is less at fault and who will you help. Either direction could be the right direction, or it could be the wrong one. It’s all up to you three. Yall are the peace keepers, the warriors, and the referee’s. Impartial thinking is what will make things easier to deal with and help you make better decisions. I don’t know the outcome because yall decide it. Whichever side you choose, whichever way yall go, will set the tone for the second simulation. You might find some easier than others but I hope to challenge all three of yall throughout the entire event. Oh, and one more thing… Fade is in charge. Since she has more experience than either of you two she’ll be the one you take your lead from.” Streak told them. He looked around the room for a second and then walked back up to the God Room with Raina. He pressed a button and spoke into the mic, “Give me a thumbs up from all three of you and I’ll start the program.” Streak waited for their signals with his hand poised over the start button.
Another red head came in, that made it, what? Three red headed x-men, at least? Way 'back in the day', there was only Fade that was a red head, now just red hair seemed to be the thing, not like she minded much, the color was her favorite after all. Kasumi waved, which seemed the proper thing to do because Fade and Kasumi had never officially met, had they? Then Dom came in, was it Dom? It had to be since he was in her group, but then again, she had never really had any conversations with Dom either. Come to think of it, Streak was the only one she really had spoken to much.
Dom spoke up with the typical man-approach, that the ladies were so lovely and he was so lucky and on and on. It was not like Fade did not enjoy compliments, but she could tell when they were actually directed at her and when they were just spoken as a generalization for women. Still, she smiled, no reason to be mean. Streak then asked her something about how it was weird to retrain, but then he passed on his conversation as if it were a rhetorical question. Fade got the hint and just laughed.
Streak began to speak up, and as he did so, the lights in the danger room simulation began to grow brighter, illuminating everyone inside. As he spoke about what they had to do, it was quite a different story. On one side, there were the humans, and on the other side, the radical mutants. Neither one was on their side, but it was the X-Men's turn to figure out which side was innocent. Obviously neither were innocent. Saving humans who hated mutants or saving mutants who hated humans, it was a double edged sword.
As if all the faces inside were those that she could remember, she could see her foster parents within the humans. It was not like they were actually there, but those angry humans reminded her so much of her foster parents and how they locked her up. Then on the mutant side, she could see Abyss and Aura, two so called 'friends' who were quite the enemies. Not to mention, Amp and Vibe, her cousins, were also baddies. Fade had walked both sides of the street, she had friends that were good and friends that were bad, but she was more good than bad. Maybe she enjoyed stealing a little bit of money here and there (but she was working on that), and maybe she enjoyed drinking under age (also working on that...) but she did not kill, she would not kill.
As her mind raced between both sides, Streak said something that put a dead end to the red head's thoughts. She was in charge? That was quite a shocker, of course, she had been in charge before, she usually was part of the reconnaissance team but now she was in charge of people who wanted to become X-Men, who had not been X-Men before. It was a rather tough decision and she was honored she was put in charge after all, but now she had to figure out what to do. Streak left and went up to the control room with Raina, asking for a thumbs up.
"You guys ready for this?" she asked, she would not put up her thumb until the other two signalled that they were ready. All the while, Fade was devising a plan on how to get by this, what they would do. They would have to figure out which side needed protection and because mutants were stronger, it might turn out that the humans needed protection. Still, the police could get involved and with human weapons, the mutants might need protection. Really, there was no way of telling until the two forces began to move and act, then she would blurt out what was next and try to figure out which way was the best approach to preserving the peace.

Kasumi looks to Dominic smiles some as she shakes her head. Wow he is pulling out the stops is he? She soon turns her head as she hears what is being told about. Soon she sees Aura she does not like the looks of this. Kasumi and feel her heart pounding and the scar on her back hurting. Yet she knows that it is not real and Abyss she sees the humans on the other side. Soon she shakes her head as she closes her eyes taking a deep breath soon she looks to Fade.
Kasumi speaks "Yes I am ready." She can not be scared of this she has to pass this. She wonders what Fade is working up in her mind. Yet Kasumi is ready to follow what Fade has in mind. Kasumi can not let fear over take her. She is going to be a x-men. Kasumi clams herself she has to keep all of the bad thoughts in the back of her mind.
This is just a test like any other. She keeps telling herself that. She knows that it is. It is to see how well she responds to it and how well she can do in this. Working with a team also Kasumi nods to herself as she closes her eyes then opens them. She knows that she can do this and she will not back down.
Crowd control? Interesting scenario this was to be. Crossing his arms, the blonde glanced his icy blue eyes to both sides of the crowds. He saw the mutant supremacist side and snarled at the sight to Aura. The chick from the pharmaceutical fight. The chick who attempted to kill him and nearly killed Kasumi. He had the right mind to storm over and maul her throat out, but that wouldn't be very X-many, would it? On the other side he saw the mutant haters. They hadn't even done anything personal to him and he wanted to shut them up personally. Domy was feeling very hostile today...no thanks to the natural animal instincts of his mutation, but he'd do this best to keep it under control. He couldn't afford to mess up this scenario. Should he fail....god he'd never hear the end of it from Sam.
"I don't have a choice but to be ready. Now or never, right?" he smiled to his two teammates. "Let's do this."

Streak finally pushed the button when they were all ready. The crowd roared to life; almost literally. The arguments and tempers flared on both sides of the police lines and the training team was right smack in the middle of both of them. The cops and other security forces that were there didn’t seem to be doing a very good job of holding the lines as both sides continued to move closer and closer to each other which in turn made the neutral space smaller. The only question was which line was going to make the first move. Undoubtedly with some of the Order members there to help fuel the fire on the mutant’s side, they would be the most likely choice. Although humans were just as unpredictable as the mutants were. There was no way for them to guess right all they needed to do was make the right decision. For now the lines were holding and the neutral zone remained the same size. The crowds settled down for a minute as an important Senator stood up and started talking to both sides of the crowds.
The team was about 50 yards from the main speaker and his esteemed friends that sat with him up on the stage. So far so good people were listening to him as he tried to make the piece with both sides at the same time. “Ladies and gentlemen let me have your attention please. Please settle down so that we can have a civilized discussion about the situation at hand.” the Senator began. People started to settle down slowly and turn their attention away from the other side and toward him. ”Thank you. Now you all know why we are here. It is to discuss the appropriate measures that need to be taken concerning mutant and human equality. As many of you know I am a supporter and CO signer of the Mutant Rights Act that we, in the Senate, are working to get passed. My colleagues and I have set aside plenty of time to hear any complaints and concerns that you might have regarding this issue. But please remember that there this is not a finger pointing session. This is an open discussion where everyone on both sides will be allowed to hear and express their opinions.” The Senator continued on with his speech. Most listened, al though there were still plenty of times when people would interrupt him and start another yelling spout. This would take its time to die down and after every time it did the Senator continued calmly on with what he was saying.
(OOC: Raina and I will add any excitement later. For now just keep the peace and keep the team safe.)
((Sorry it has taken me so long, guys, been having some major family issues.))
Kasumi seemed ready, although she seemed a slight bit hesistant at first. It only made her mortal, even if mutants were not considered humans, they were still mortal and still have feelings and conflicting ideas. If anyone knew about conflicting ideas, it was definitely Fade. Hell, she would have been on the other side if they had gotten to her first, but she was being a good little invisible girl and she could play nice these days. Dom on the other hand approached the situation quite differently. It seemed he was not too thrilled to be handed this task, but whatever his cause for doing this, he spoke up.
Technically, he did have a choice, he could just opt out and leave the training session. No one was forcing him to become an X-Man, but it was not Fade's place to speak up, technically, she had not been re-admitted yet. So she just nodded. Funny how everyone seemed to glance at Aura, that girl sure knew how to make an impression. Streak started up the training session and Fade realized her one flaw in trying to figure out what all they could do to help keep each side from killing eachother. What were their powers?
Whether or not she had seen them in battle before, she could not remember what exactly they did. It was a bit odd to try to form this resistance when she had no clue what her team mates were capable of. Turning to them, she simply said "I'm able to turn invisible and I can phase through objects. I can use that to protect the Senator. What are your powers? We need to isolate the two sides, we're not helping either of them, but we're protecting both sides." She figured that was the best approach. They weren't there to fuel a fight, they were there to keep it from breaking out.

Kasumi soon looks to fade "I can make a poison that knocks anyone out. I can also sling it. I can stick to anything and move the way a frog can." She stared to feel better "I an use my power to knock out the ones that is making it worse?" They have to be down but they will be sleeping also. She knows that her poison can do that. Kasumi herself can not be knocked out form what she makes. The ones that are making it the worse has to be stopped. She knows that right off the bat. But Aura Kasumi knows very well what she can do to anyone.
Yet she knows that Aura has to be unharmed also. Yet there is a lot of mad people there. Running her tongue down her lips as she closes her eyes she takes in a deep breath. Keeping herself clam over all of this. She did not want to fail at this she knows that she can do it. Kasumi knows that she can do it she can do anything that she puts her mind to! Shin always told Kasumi that she knows that she can do it. She wants to be a X-men. It is a test if she proves to herself that she can do this then she can do anything!
So Fade had Phasing and Invisibility and Kasumi was a frog chick. Impressive abilities, though Kasumi's were similar to his. Made him feel a bit more at ease knowing he was the only one to crawl up walls and hop around. "Well, I can mimic other animals. I collect their DNA through skin contact and I can use whatever abilities they possess. I can crawl walls and spin webs like a spider or flip over cars like a gorilla. Whatever animal I have in my template." he said folding his arms across his chest.
"I don't really know how my abilities will come into play and what I can do to help out in this situation, but I'll try. You can believe that."
