The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Koga threw the emptied fire extinguisher on the remaining bugs that were still chugging along and bolted for the cupboard he hide the small group of kids in. “mutantsss ssssaved you.” He swung the door open talking to the few runts in there. “alright, guysss, I am going to go help out my partner. I want you guysss to run that way and get into the firssst room you know where othersss will be, tell them about the passssword and not to come out til they hear it.”
“Don’t worry, I’ll watch you until you get into a room.” He said as the youngest of the group looked at him in admiration.
~~“You smashed all them bugs with only one hand!”
Ryuichi grinned. “ all in a daysss work. Now run guysss, thisss’ll all be over sssoon.” The eldest girl had her eyes stuck to his face and was like a statue in her vigilance to not look at the rest of the well muscled mutant in his tiny costume.
Koga tried his hardest not to blush and allowed his colors to shift to help cover it he tilted his head to look over his should toward where the ensuing battle was still going on. His brow furrowed as he heard Sam’s voice bounce off the walls in annoyance and possibly a hint of pain.
“Hang on Cssss, I’ll be there ssssoon.”
Koga watched the group flea and get scooped into a room by a rather large male with a preists collar, he glared for a moment at Koga before he remembered that there were dangerous mutants about. Koga waved a small wave at the man as he disappeared, signaling he was one of the good guys. Oh well, Sam always said it wasn’t about the thank yous. In fact he said to expect disdain, that way at worst you’d be pleasantly surprised when someone said thanks instead.
She heard sam's words clearly, the images she was seeing were not real, she knew this to a degree already still the words were reassuring to her mind even if it seemed the light had forsaken her. Whoever this guy was he had also mentioned something about children, that still bothered her as well. Who did she know who had such powers, could they be found in her memories, it seemed like something she should know, something recent. Her mind was acting like mud, and it was hard to stay focussed on any single line of memories, as it was she was doing her best to ignore things she thought she was hearing, everything from sirens to automatic weapon fire to just plain fire. Aura's eyes opened wide though her mind wa sstill clouded she thought she could place this mutant now. "The guy....with the water sack..........Frosty" she said recalling her nickname for him easier then she did his real name.
"It's getting worse.....ever since i left....memories false and real cloud my mind and eyes" she said in explanation, though embarrassed by her own weakened position. If all the image she had seen just prior were fake, could Frosty's words implied she had gone after children. Her use as a soilder was obviously become less and less, she could not let herself become useless she could not fall to her own mind. Aggressively Aura struck the wall with her Aura, the weapon changing each time until she went through at least a half done, trying to calm herself. Her Aura grew calm, closing her eyes she focussed hard. "My Aura is me and i am my Aura, a weapon for combat, to be wielded and used as fit" she said to herself, a line she had heard at least once a night before she slept and one that often invaded her dreams. Could this fog in her mind, be the reason for her lack of memories past her time in the wood.
"leave?" she blinked looking around, the area was coming back into focus, her mind clearing, she had no idea where she was, she did recall what she had done however. "Two dead if i recall a young one and some priest.....only humans though" she said more to herself then anyone else. "troubling though, i normally avoid children, if i could go after them then a mutant could be next" she said reasoning out things in her mind, to this Aura looked down a bit almost ashamed of the thought, and all but around her left arm, her Aura dropped keeping an Axe formed, Frosty had asked her to leave but Aura could not bring herself to move, her actions made her dangerous to her own allies, a liability, useless, easily the worst thing a person could be. "I am defective......" she said still to stunned by this revelation to progress any ware. She watched as a few bugs fell from Frostys's nose, the image would have been funny if the situation had been almost anything else, but not now or hear, it then occurred to her that the bugs were likely caused by a mutant the small voice she had heard before. "Who are you buggy?" she asked not recalling the mutant who looke dlike she was trying to help her anywhere.
(So sorry for the long wait on this post.) Well petunia’s bug invasion of every opening she could find of the ice man seemed to sort of work. However had she not been so quick to take him by surprise, she probably wouldn’t of gotten the shot off at all. And when Ice man leaned forward to shake Petunia away, she was all too happy to obay, for once. It felt like Ice was coating her lower extremities. Her wings shivered and felt chapped as the thinner membrane, that was petunia’s built in air conditioning in the summer, much like the jack rabbit’s ears in the dessert, were quickly chilling down her body. You could see the blood vessels that laced the greenish stained glass like appendages start to darken due to the cold. It hurt, and Petunia wanted it to end. She wanted to end the cause of this cold. To End the Ice Man.
Petunia’s teeth chattered, and her green eyes game Sam a venomous look from under the deepened shadows of her brows. Mean while, the make shift smock of moths grew. Petunia was still attempting to give herself some insulation against the chill of the ice. Without her eyes leaving Sam, and her lips pulled back in a snarl of frustration and pain, Petunia pushed herself backwards on the floor, with the heels of her very cold feet. She scooted backwards till she sat just in front of Aura, who knowingly wouldn’t know who Pix was. Pix kept to herself in Sanctuary a lot. Being nothing more than, quite literally, a fly on the wall. Petunia only know she was a fellow team member and therefore, worth doing something for. She tried moving some of the moths around Aura, hoping to warm her up.
"Who are you buggy?"
“P-P-Pet-tuni-ia” Pix said as if this answered Aura’s question in any way, and every angle. Plus through the shivering and teeth chattering, Pix was having some trouble annunciating words without biting her tongue. “Th-h-hough I Lik-ke Big-g-g-gy.”
“Ah-nd you.” Petunia pointed a finger at the cold man, her grass green eyes looked wide wild, and as if they could shoot lazy beams on command at this ice man. If only that were part of petunia’s mutation. “someone’s going to be really hurt, “Namely poor innocent Petunia. “If you don’t turn off the cold air.”
After all. How was the ice man supposed to expect Petunia to be able to move, if she couldn’t work her shaking, shivering, cramping limbs enough to do so. shaking shivering, and cramping that was cased by the ice maker. The ice maker must find an end.

Sighing as he continued to make sure all the insects that tried making there way into his body were dead and evacuated from his body he looked to Aura and shook his head, ”Sort out the real from the false Aura, just breathe, breathe and focus on your surroundings!” Sam said calmly as he continued to try and calm the young woman. Normally he would be more on guard considering that two mutants just attacked him, however one could barely move while he radiated his chill while the other, though dangerous was slowly coming back to the realm of sanity, a realm where he had never fought her before and had no intention of fighting her.
Toning down the chill a considerable amount as his eyes trailed to the bug lady Sam looked back to Aura and shook his head, ”You're a person, not a weapon, you have thoughts and feelings and should use them, weapons can’t think, you can…” feeling bad for the kid Sam took a step forward to her his hands debating to reach out to her. His hands however remained at the side for time being, he wanted to help her but wanted to be sure he could first.
His eyebrows turned down as he started angrily at Aura his anger rising only to be pushed out of the way again. ”Humans or not, they didn’t deserve this Aura, they were kids, and good people, they didn’t do anything to you… you had no reason to do that!” his tone changing to a mote sympathetic one as he eyed the bug woman again noticing the loud chatter sounds she was making due to his mutation.
Nodding his head Sam bowed his head and said, ”I’m sorry Petunia, but I had to help calm Aura down, she wasn’t herself…” snapping his fingers the ice forming around the room shattered and started to felt as the air suddenly started to grow warmer. The ice around his body weakened and thinned but still remained just in case Aura lost control again.
Koga turned to run to where the shouting was going on and then moved to the ceiling and closed in on the area, he stopped at the door way, where he stood a chance of not passing out due to the freezing state of the room. How did he find himself agreeing with the woman covered in bugs? but just like that Sam was being nice to the pair of ladies and turning the heat back on, He did say he knew who this was most likely going to be...He didn't like the women, who the hell came into an orphanage to do their evil? He waited patiently on the ceiling waiting for the room to heat up a bit more and for the women to make a move. It would be awkward to attack a female foe in his, not much of a uniform uniform, but he would do what he had to, to protect those kids. his skin shivered and his eye lids were getting a bit heavy, he moved toward an air conditioning vent that was struggling to keep the room at the thermostats preferred temperature. and so now he waited.
He did his best to observe his foes and figure out how they worked, not a lot to work with, one was bugtastic and the other had some sort of pink power going, both were cute. even the one covered in bugs, if a bit freaky. This sucked. He had learned as his mutation manifested, that there was a lot more to a mutant than appearances.
Aura considered her options, she was clearly broken, dysfunctional and if things kept up the way they were, she might well hurt a teammate, not just these useless humans. It had all began from the woods, the death of the others, just after that she had experienced light waves of memories, only now they were becomming strong enough to blind herself to the truth to reality. She had to destroy these false memories and soon, or she find her own death at one less merciful then frosty here. She could fight him, and the fact that she had every confidence he would subdue her did not deter this, no Aura truely felt as though she had done wrong, her actions had been wrong, weather or not she had murdered anyone was something she could never know now.
"My feelings are the reason for this.....breakdown. In the woods, we were tought to kill any of our comrades who could not make it back to camp, a way of preventing information from falling into the hands of the humans. My charge, was wounded, but i could not bring my blade down to end his life, as a result, he gave our location and our hiding places to the humans tracking us down, we spent the next month being tracked down and systematically wiped out, I corrected that mistake soon after, but i fear the guilt of that failure and the failure to protect those i have been charged with defending have harmed my control over these idiotic memories" she said, recalling the event clearly, she had let the boy live and in return he had given the humans their location and the means to kill them all. It was true he had been severely tortured that much was evident when Aura fought him after.
"you are right, they were kids, a hunter must not kill the children of their prey, not only could they become mutants, but wiping out the entire species would be wrong. Simple control much like what we use to hunt deer is a far better solution" she said looking back as Frosty. her words were own bent from years of indoctrination. "Nature has given us our powers to take the mantle of the top species of this planet, not to anilate the humans, after all their slow death as a species has already been determined by the planet" she went on her words more quoting her late teacher now then from her own heart.
"I should head north to the woods, maybe there i can find the answers, which my heart seeks, and at the very least i can bury my friends. Maybe i just feel guilty for outliving them" she said thinking to herself before shaking the thought away. "Thanks for the trying to help buggy, i apreshaite it alot and you to frosty, i am sorry for the trouble i have caused here. I should know sayre is dead, i choked the life from his neck with my own hands" she said finnishing as her voice turned to venom. She blamed her old ward for most of this, had he not betrayed them they would still be a team rescueing young mutants and preparing for the gods return.
