The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

As Mandain was being droved around in a cab it didn't took him so long to get to the mansion. "That will be 2.50 please" the cab driver seemed an honest man, so Mandain tipped him with 5 bucks "There you go have nice day" Mandain smiled broadly, he was finally starting his new life. Mandain took some time to look at the mansion. It was huge, if they didn't have a room for him, wauw, then he would be surprised very much. Mandain walked over to the big gates of the mansion.
"Here we go, My first steps to a new life" Mandain puffed, and pushed open the huge gates of the mansion. When he entered, the front lawn, or how you would like to call it, was huge. Big tree's full with flowers, all sorts of nice colors, he couldn't wait to see how it was inside of the mansion.
As he strolled over the path leading to the front door, it was pretty quiet around. All you could hear was the nice tone of birds whistling and leaves falling from the trees.
It was a long but nice walk to the front doors of the mansion, "Hmmm how do I actually enter, or did I need to make an appointment or something, ah well here go's nothing" Mandain puffed again and rang the door, hopefully someone would hear him in this gigantic mansion.

Like clockwork, Jonathon had spotted the newcomer, and sent the text to Neena, who was perched on the back of one of the living room couches, fast asleep. Fortunately her phone was on 'loud', so the beep promptly woke her up.
"Mmm... ya... wha? Was'at?" The beeping continued, sounding almost annoyed with her. She sat up, and nearly fell off her precarious perch. Catching her balance, she looked at the message. As if to reinforce it, the front doorbell rang. With a yawn and stretch that cracked her back a bit, she hopped off of the couch and made for the front door.
Opening it, she said, "Can I help you?" while yawning at the same time. So it actually came out more like, "An I eh ooo?" She shook her head, and smiled at the young man. "Sorry, I was catnapping. What can I do for you m'friend?."
She took a moment to size him up, and the first thing she noticed was the yellow eyes. So she added, "I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that you're looking for a place to crash for a while."

Mandain was glad for the welcome, "You do look a bit sleepy, and yes it would be nice if you had a spare room" Mandain was glad somebody had heard the doorbell, and was happy how the woman had welcomed him if you can call it like that.
"My friends, Ali and Raine, you'l probably know them, I heard about this school for "gifted" people and they said I would be welcome, so here I am". Mandain smiled broadly, he was only inches away from his first step in the mansion, and to be honest it was rather exciting.

"You do look a bit sleepy, and yes it would be nice if you had a spare room. My friends, Ali and Raine, you'l probably know them, I heard about this school for "gifted" people and they said I would be welcome, so here I am."
Neena grinned. "Oh yes, we have plenty of spare rooms for 'gifted' ones. Come on in." She stepped aside to let him in. "My name's Neena, I'm one of the teachers here. I can't say I've met Ali yet, but I know Raina. And they're both right, you're more than welcome, m'friend. Do you have any other bags to bring in?"
She motioned him over to one of the tables in the foyer, and picked up a 'New Resident' folder. "So, if they directed you here, then I'm going to guess that you're not preregistered, right?" She then motioned him into the living room, off to one-side. "We've just got a couple of procedures first to get out of the way, then we can find you a place to crash out." She opened the folder and handed it to him.
"This is our 'New Resident form, that I need you to fill out. You know; age, name," she paused a moment after that one, a silent prompt for him to give his name. "Things like that. It doesn't mean you're obligated to stay here; you can leave anytime you want, though we hope you will feel welcome.
"Everything is confidential, but I do need to know a couple of things first. Main thing being, what kind of mutation do you have? Is it dangerous to you? Or anyone around?"
She smiled happily at him. She realized it was a rather long-winded speech to be hearing, only minutes after you've shown up at a place. But if he decided to stay, the Headmistress would need to know. Not that Neena was too worried, if Raina vouched for him. Besides, considering some of the mutations they had running around the school, 'dangerous' was truly a relative term.

"My name's Neena, I'm one of the teachers here. I can't say I've met Ali yet, but I know Raina. And they're both right, you're more than welcome, m'friend. Do you have any other bags to bring in?"
"Funny you ask, my bags were kinda destroyed in the car explosions today, but I got out just fine" Mandain smiled to Neena. Neena was motioning to the table where some folders were laying.

Mandain gave a look at the folder, he didn't have much time cause Neena continued her talk.
"This is our 'New Resident form, that I need you to fill out. You know; age, name," Neena paused for a second, "Oh, I'm sorry i haven't introduced myself, I'm Mandain Gandron, my fault" Mandain smiled and turned his head to the folder again "Things like that. It doesn't mean you're obligated to stay here; you can leave anytime you want, though we hope you will feel welcome. Mandain looked up to Neena again "I'm sure ill fit right in"
"Everything is confidential, but I do need to know a couple of things first. Main thing being, what kind of mutation do you have? Is it dangerous to you? Or anyone around?" The question Neena just asked wasn't hard to respond on, but what he had done with his powers in the past did serious damage to some people.
"My gift, Hmm, Well I can shoot out Ion beams, that are purple beams that will destroy any kind of technology, it isn't lethal for humans, but it does paralyze them for an unknown amount of time, sometimes 1 day the other time he or she will never wake up" Mandain paused for a second and looked down to the floor and to Neena again "Also i can form a protective ion shield around myself, causing everything to hit it being redirected back to the one that caused the attack, the strenght of the attack will be doubled, well that was it" Mandain smiled again and stuffed his head back in the folder.

"Funny you ask, my bags were kinda destroyed in the car explosions today, but I got out just fine"
That got a curious look out of the dark-skinned woman. "Explosions? What happened? Do you need to see a doctor? We have one on premesis, if so." He seemed to be fine, but you could never be too careful, especially when it came to mutants.
She listened carefully to his mutation description. It did sound dangerous, but also like he had fairly good control over it. "Well," she remarked when he finished, "it doesn't sound like you would be a danger to the other students here. I'd like to test your control though, just to be sure. If we need to, we can get some specialized training set up for you." She stopped, realizing that her rambling might very well scare the young man off. She grinned and laughed. "Oh, sorry. Don't mind me. I teach in the Danger Room, which is the Mansion's trainning grounds, of sorts. Always looking for new students ya know," she added in a not-so-subtle hint.
"Shall I fill this form in right now or later?"
"Either one works, m'friend. Here." She pulled out the map in the back of the folder. "You can either give it to me now, or drop it in later at either the Headmistress's office, or the Danger Room, which is where I usually am. As a matter of fact there's going to be a session there later, if you want to drop by and see what the place is all about." Again, the hint was less than subtle. As with most of the students and teachers, new and old, their variety of mutations fascinated her.
"In the meantime, you can go ahead and pick out a room. Just go up these stairs here, and take this hallway here," she pointed out the appropriate points as she spoke. "You can pick any empty room for now. If you'd like a roommate, just make a note on the form, and Miss Tipper, the Headmistress, will get things set up for you. 'kay?"
"Explosions? What happened? Do you need to see a doctor? We have one on premesis, if so." She was saying it calm, cause you couldn't really tell if Mandain was hurt or not. "Nothing happened with me, I got out just in time"
When Mandain had told her about his gift she responded differently as he hoped.
"Well, "it doesn't sound like you would be a danger to the other students here. I'd like to test your control though, just to be sure. If we need to, we can get some specialized training set up for you." Neena started grinning and a little laugh came out.
"Oh, sorry. Don't mind me. I teach in the Danger Room, which is the Mansion's training grounds, of sorts. Always looking for new students ya know,"
"Nice, so your the fight trainer, I'm not sure if I would need any training, and I can control my powers rather good, but if you like we can head out to the danger room you were talking about, so I can show you" Mandain was tired, but a little test of his powers wouldn't hurt him. "Ill drop of the form soon at that head master of yours Mandain smiled and looked around the room.
"In the meantime, you can go ahead and pick out a room. Just go up these stairs here, and take this hallway here," Neena pointed out the appropriate points as she spoke. "You can pick any empty room for now. If you'd like a roommate, just make a note on the form, and Miss Tipper, the Headmistress, will get things set up for you. 'kay?"
"The room can wait for some more minutes, Id like to get over with the testing of my powers if you don't mind, it's not that I don't like my powers, it's just that it well, let's say it was never in good use" Mandain thought about his past what happened, but redirected his attention back to Neena rather quick "Not that I used it for any bad purpose, just to let you know" Mandain grinned and hoped he didn't put this conversation on the wrong foot with his answers.

Neena' smile took on a 'big sister' expression. "No need to worry, m'friend. 'Your past is in the past', to quote the movies. We'll focus on the here and now for the time being. As for you powers? Almost every mutation has some good in it, if you dig deep enough. And I don't think we'll need to dig too far it in yours."
She stood up and motioned for him to follow her, still smiling. "C'mon, I'll show you what I mean."

Mandain hoped he would get to see some other mutants, it would be strange if the whole mansion would be empty. "So, where are all the other gifted ones?" Mandain was ready to show of his powers when they reached a door.

"So, where are all the other gifted ones?"
"Oh they're around-"
As if on cue a group of five kids ran through the hall, aged twelve to seventeen, almost knocking into Neena. She deftly dodged the first two, and the balls something glowing white they were tossing at each other. The third ran through her, changing into and from a shadow as she passed. The fourth shifted to a bird and flew over, while the fifth simply slowed down and went around her. As he passed he grinned at her, showing off a pair of snake fangs. Neena shook her head.
"Like I said, they're around." She continued on toward the Danger Room.

As if it was planned a bunch of kids came running threw the hall ways, Neena could dodge two of them, and the rest showed of there mutation, running threw people and possible walls, shape shifting, and fangs, pretty freaky, but nothing to worry about. As they passed Mandain knew was Neena was about to say "Like I said, they're around." Mandain smiled and they continued walking to what they called the danger room

Neena halted at the Danger Room door, after dodging several more of the younger students, and palmed it open. Inside, the darkness seemed to stretch on forever. Neena motioned for Mandain to stand in the center of the room, and moved to the auxilary panel on the near wall.
”Okay, let’s see what you can do.”
From the shadows appeared five robots, made to look like nondescript humans, ‘everyday Joes’.
”This is just a quickie sparring exercise, designed to test your reflexes and basic mutation. The object is simply to neutralize your opponents. After this, we’ll test that shield of your, ‘kay?” She stood back and waited for him to begin, her almost-white eyes ready to take in every detail.
(Ooc: I'm not posting that I killed the robots, maybe you would like them to dodge or something like that ^^, and if you like them fried, that's also good with me ^^)
The opening of the door was a bit frightening for Mandain, what would he face in here, it was dark, but overall he had a good feeling about this. Neena motioned to Mandain that he had to go the the center of the room, He nodded and when to his place

Mandain looked confused, they looked like real humans, but would they really let a mutant harm humans? He thought that would be very unlikely and that it had to be robots.
He raised his hand with his palm to one of the robots, "Aim shoot" He bit on his lip and started aiming and shooting fast after another.

(OOC: Go ahead and control them however you want to Mandain. They're just bots, so you can destroy them no problem.)
Neena had programmed one of the bots to stay put, and let Mandain's attack hit him; she wanted to see exactly what happened when an attack connected.
The other four dodged his initial attack, and moved in on him. Two brandished blackjacks menacingly, one produced a steel chain, and the fourth snapped open a street knife. The chain-wielding thug twirled and snapped the weapon forward, aiming for Mandain's wrist, while the other three moved in for a direct attack.
Neena stood off to the side and watched the fireworks.

1 of the bots was destroyed, their fully computer program was fried and nothing was left of it, only the skeleton was left. The other four dodged his first attack, and were now moving in on Mandain.
Two brandished blackjacks menacingly, one produced a steel chain, and the fourth snapped open a street knife. The chain-wielding thug twirled and snapped the weapon forward, aiming for his wrist, while the other three moved in for a direct attack. The one with the steel chain could prove a little thread, while he tried to get a hold of Mandain his wrist, Mandain did a ferry while to the back on one hand, the other hand was used to shoot another beam to chain wielding maniac.
"two down, three to go, this is pretty fun" Mandain had his nice suit one, so his moving was still a bit strapped up because of the tightness of the suit. The knife wielding robot was now rushing into Mandain, "Easy", Mandain did a reflex to the side blocking the striking arm of the robot, with his free hand open he put it on the robot his 'face' and blew it to pieces.
"two left" Mandain smiled and continued his fight. Since it were robots kicking in the nuts or in their nerves, so all he had was his speed and ion. Since Neena wanted to test his shield later Mandain didn't wanna use it now, so shooting beams was the best he could do for now. The two robots left functioning were now circling around him, Mandain sat down and one knee and stared turning in circles, then the ion flew, ion flew around the whole room except where Neena stood, Mandain kept an eye out for that, although the robots were in a bad shape, they were flown off there 'legs' and were now trying to stand up while laying down on the floor. "
That was it" Mandain walked over to the center of were the robots were laying and did the final blow, one ion beam from each hand flew to the robots, they were done for. "How was that?"Mandain dusted of his hands and walked to wards Neena smiling.
