The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Neena's nature wouldn't allow her to simply watch from the sidelines; she had an natural curiosity that often landed her in rather hostile situations. True to form, almost the instant Mandain's attack connected to the first bot, she was there to see what happened. She made an approving 'Hmmm'ing sound as she examined the remains.
As Mandain continued his battle, she again got as close as possible to see the results. She also paused to examine one of the purple beams, without getting too close. She wasn't fond of the idea of being paralyzed, if even for a short time. As he finished, she was right in front of him, nodding and murmurring and she made mental notes.
"Good, good. You seem to have decent control, so I don't foresee any immediate danger to others. Now for the shield." She headed back to the auxillary panel, and tapped in another set of commands.
Three more bots, these obviously mechanical, appeared from the shadows.
"These machines are equipped with different weapons; laser, bullet, and concussion. Form your shield, then when you're ready, yell 'Fire'. Each one will fire one round. If you get too exhausted, yell 'End', and the simulation will stop. This is to test your shield's strength."
Again she moved to the side to observe.
(OOC: Same thing Mandain, control them however you need to.

"Well sure no problem" Mandain started focusing he closed his eye's, this shield of him was something he would only use as last resort, not just to protect him from a normal attack, but for something that would definitely kill him. Slowly you could see a purple shield forming around his body, he looked up "Fire" The three bots released a shot and they all hit Mandain. The shield reflected the shots and were shot back with twice the power, the robots only had one chance to attack, and now there were just a pile of crap. Mandain lowered his shield and started puffing, this shield of his cost ed him a lot of energy but luckily they could only fire once. "Did you like it" with his hands on his knee's he was taking a breath and smiling to Neena.

The shield definately drained his energy, Neena could see that clearly. However the results were exactly as he stated.
"Did you like it?"
She returned his smile and nodded. "Indeed. A bit of practice to build up your endurance, and I'd say I'd prefer to stay on your good side." She tapped the New Resident folder. "Welcome to Xavier's, Mandain. You can drop that off whenever you get a chance in the next few days. If you ever want to come and train here, you're more then welcome, though I'd advise not coming alone, especially if I'm not here. Just to be safe, 'kay? In the meantime, make yourself at home. The students wander everywhere, so I'm sure you'll run into someone fairly quickly, perhaps the living room. Or kitchen. There are some bottomless pits that frequent the kitchen," she added with a chuckle.
Mandain was glad he 'passed' and smiled at Neena but he was still huffing and puffing.. "Yeah, Ill try to fill it in as soon as I can" Neena gave him some tips of meeting new people in the mansion. "Ill be sure to check it out, but for now I"m gonna go enjoy the site at Times square"
Mandain waved at Neena as he walked out of the door, then out of the mansion. Strangly his cab was still sitting duck infront of the gate. "Hello again, I could use a ride to Times Square" Mandain smiled at the man and got in
