The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

She was strolling though the park one day, in the merry merry month of - Predator cut that line of thought off. Curse you saturday night television! He thought, chuckling under his breath. Predator was in a very good mood that day, and he didn't particularly know why. Maybe it was the gorgeus day, maybe it was the strange lack of humans in the park, but he was really enjoying his walk through the woods, as it were. Predator had become more cautious when it came to living spaces, and always took a roundabout route across rooftops and side streets that varied every day. And he usually traveled in the night. On this beautiful day, however, Predator wanted to see the park in it's full summer glory.
As such, he was walking through the park in broad daylight, happy with the strange lack of humans, and eventually content to just sit on the grass in one of the more wooded areas of the park, to think. Not about his life, or the kind of person he was, oh no, but about his next outing. He had used to just randomly pick an area and start killing, but he realized the folly of that if they could follow him back to his home and take him there, as had happened once before. Thankfully his friends had rescued him, but he doubted that they would be there this time.
So, when he looked up and saw a young man lead an obviously intoxicated, and possibly drugged, teenage girl deeper in the woods, he couldn't help but investigate. If nothing else, it would prove interesting to watch. He got to his feet, and waited until they were out of sight. He visited these woods often, and if he wanted to go somewhere where nobody would discover him, he knew exactly where he would go. Following the logic that the two humans would go there as well, he headed to the spot.
As he got closer to the spot, Predator heard sounds of a struggle. Apparently, the girl wasn't as intoxicated as she had looked. He clambered up a tree and peered into the clearing. The girl's clothes were very disheveled, and she had the comings of a bruise welling up under one eye. The man was on top of her, obviously trying to force himself on her. The girl was struggling, and putting up a commendable fight, but the man was bigger and stronger than her, and so she was losing. That was, of course, until she cheated. Pulling her knee back almost to her chin, she rammed her foot straight into the cajones of the man on top of her. He rolled off, groaning falsetto and clutching his jewels, while the girl sprayed him with pepper spray for good measure, and ran off.
Almost to the point of laughing, Predator turned away and headed back to his previous spot, arriving out of the woods only a few seconds after the girl. As she passed him she looked over at him, and the grin he gave her was so absolutely feral that she raised the pepperspray again and ran away from Predator, and out of the park. Predator was just lucky that she hadn't sprayed him, because that stuff hurt. Not like he would know from experience, or anything.
Apparently the war between the park, and people staying home on their computers had been finally decided for many people. For today was a Saturday, a decent day, and the traffic at the park was still manageable. Actually manageable would be an over statement. Sara was actually able to plot out a place in the park just for her feline self.
Sara had been tracking the smell of a girl, a boy, alcohol, and a drug. If it wasn’t for the smell of the drug, Sara would have probably ignored the sent trail entirely.
There was a high pitched male scream as Sara reached the area and the girl was running off the other way. Leaving Sara with the male who looked incredibly surprised to have a half cat female grab him by the hair and haul his still groin shielding self to his feet, or in the case of half of his steps, his knees, and haul him through the patch of trees where the girl had run through. Sara shouldered her way through a thick bush, and then bumped right into another mutant. “S’cuse me, sir. Coming through.”

"Scuse me sir, coming through."
Predator looked up to see a mutant dragging the man he had so recently been observing. She was obviously a mutant because of her half-feline appearance. He was surprised to see her dragging the man, mainly because he hadn't thought that there was anyone else there. Ah well, it's not like Predator prided himself on his observancy. He never was all that observant anyways, but it disturbed him a bit.
"No problem." Predator said to the woman. "Ha," He said to the man, "Looks like you really got the short end of the stick tonight, huh? Thought you'd get lucky, maybe tip the scales in your favor, now you're wondering if you'll ever have kids again." Predator chuckled.
“If he’s even close to being lucky, he’ll still have some sort of equipment when I’m finishe.” Sara commented more to herself than anything. One eye brow raised at this other mutant’s strange comment. “You saw what was going on?” Her frustrations rose slightly but she soothed them by shoving the male attacker’s head and releasing his hair so he hit the ground on his knees and elbows.
Sure, Sara turned the other way during most bad situations, but this was one of the rare times that she’d stepped in to do anything. “Lovely days at the park always get ruined by someone. I’m lucky that way. I get to make this man’s day even worst.”
Sara finally turned to see the full figure of the man she had bumped into. Her eye level was at his shoulder first, then slowly her eyes traveled up to his eyes and she actually took a step back. Not really from fear or intimidation but for better balance. “you’re tall.”

“If he’s even close to being lucky, he’ll still have some sort of equipment when I’m finished. You saw what was going on?” The mutant shoved the man down onto the ground, violently. “Lovely days at the park always get ruined by someone. I’m lucky that way. I get to make this man’s day even worse.”
Predator nodded, and smiled. "Oh, I think this man just might qualify for the Darwin award."
The mutant took a step back from Predator, removing herself from a personal distance, and said, “you’re tall.”
"Really? I hadn't noticed." Predator said dryly. "You're furry."
Yay. Darwin awards. “His parents must be so incredibly proud.” Sara grabbed the man by the hair again, so swiftly her movements were nothing but a blur.
One eye brow raised at the furry comment and she looked over her shoulder at the very tall man. “Yes. I now I’m furry.” She said trying to calm her temper that was flaring up again, in the back of her mind. Being reminded constantly that she would always have a fur coat, wasn’t something that made Sara happy. “But at least I only stick out in a crowd as a hairy thumb. Not a sore, medically altered to be lengthened, thumb.”

“His parents must be so incredibly proud. Yes. I know I’m furry. But at least I only stick out in a crowd as a hairy thumb. Not a sore, medically altered to be lengthened, thumb.”
Well, someone was bitter today. Predator just smiled and shook his head slightly "Yes, but at least neither of us are one of the crowd, hmm?" He was refferring to, of course, the humans. Whether or not this mutant agreed with his sentiments, it was good to talk to someone every once and a while. There were often times where Predator would go days without speaking. Humans were not worth talking to, and it was just crazy to talk to yourself. No, he only talked to those he had some respect for, and humans were never counted in those.
“Right.. .. ..” Sara sounded less than happy about that thought. It was true that she found value in her healing ability, but she still hated the fact that she couldn’t blend in with a normal crowd. Most mutants were very lucky. Sara was not. Maybe that was a cat thing.
Then it occurred to Sara, what this individual was hinting at. “You know I’m not the biggest fan of every norm out there, but not every norm is out to kill us.” Sara actually had a close friend who was human. He gave her food and she gave him money. It was a good relationship. Not that some people would understand the idea of not harming another individual. Sara’s hand shot over the head of the man she’d caught, after he’d had his nuts kicked to Hell, and her fingers laced around the strands of his hair just as he was trying to get up and run. The effect yanked him back like a dog running full tilt to the end of their chain and down on his butt, he fell again.
