The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Welp....guess getting into the building wasn't going to be as easy as it seemed. Well of course it wasn't since it was blocked off by spiky bones, but he wasn't expecting some little girl with pink blades getting in his way. He couldn't help but agree that it made things a lot more interesting though. Dominic tilted his head at the girl. Wow, she had to be the most arrogant and cocky person he'd met thus far. She just assumed she was going to win?
"Um, sorry to have to tell you this, but this isn't a rave. So could you take you little glow sticks somewhere else? I have more important things to do than play glow wands with some little girl..." he sighed waving a dismissive hand to the woman. Oh well, of course he was going to talk trash even though he was scared out of his mind. The girl had blades and he didn't even have the shirt of his back anymore! "Seriously, I mean do we have to fight, huh? My friend is bleeding to death and we need to get into that building for help so, if you could just skedaddle. I'll buy you a happy meal or something. Heck, I'll even take you out on a date if you want. You're actually kind of pretty and it'd be a shame for me to mess up such a cute face." he shot her a smile. "But I mean, if you really want to throw down...I won't be held responsible for what will happen if you get me angry..."
They were quickly taking care of this Kasumi girl. The blood was stopping slowly and the girl had passed out. It was probably best for her sake. Because she wouldn't have to worry about anything until she woke up. It was everyone that was still awake and fighting that needed to worry about everything. They were working fast to get her out of the danger area and he realized that there was someone charging another person. Fission would have left the girl with metal parts alone in her attack when he realized that she was aiming at someone who was frozen solid. It was like attacking an unarmed opponent, and at this point Chris wouldn't have thought it past her to attack a defenseless person.
Fission needed to get a clear shot at her. He quickly dodged out of the crowd that was gathering around Kasumi and held up his hands. He looked like he was someone in a movie that held their hands out in front of them to stop a car. That obviously wasn't the intention. He focused on his powers and without saying anything two beams shot out of his hands and at the young woman that was running after the human icicle. He wasn't a hero. He didn't have those stupid one liners that were on TV shows and movies. Chris was just trying to prevent someone else from dying when they couldn't defend themselves. He could only hope that the beams would stop the woman from taking the frozen guys head off.
Aura felt the pull of her hair and was about to turn around when some one struck her in the back cuaseing her to stagger forward, as she did, Aura left arm blade flowed back into her Aura and reemerged from hack whare she had felt the arm impact her, she was able to stay on her feet only with the support of her arm. Standing up she moved to put a few feet between Ranger and Hyde she wanted to let them play with each other if she could. She had not even seen Flynn move to strike her so she was glad Ranger had largely counterd whatever his plan was. Had it not been for Ranger Hyde could have landed a number of blowes against her Aura, she nodded her thanks to ranger even if he did not realize what he did for her. Aura only thought once more to kasumis plight, it really was to bad she had been fooloish enough to try and fight when clearly she was no fighter, a friend yes and if she was not dead, Aura would have gladly hung out with her again.
"I have no idea what your talking about" Aura said really having no idea what a rave was or even the conceapt of one, everything he said right after that was equally meaningless to her. She dismissed it much as he did her with his wave. He was a fool, their were many such morons of the field today, but she had already corrected one of them, or so she thought, untill Dom spoke again. Retracting the blade from her back, she reformed the drill on her hand with a smile. "So frog legs lived through my attack? I thought for sure the drill...." she raised her aura drill to add to her point. "would have torn through atleast a vital organ or two. Still the Internal Bleeding should be pretty bad." she said almost sounding more like she was trying to reason that Kasumi had lived. "Oh well, the important thing, is she is no longer in the fight" Aura shrugged and Moved on Dom, to do so though she lost track of both Ranger and Flynn. "If you would like you can run, or i can bury you" she said simply her words her own version of trash talk, she wanted to make him angry and with anger make him miss a step. Reforming her Aura weapon from the drill to a circler saw which looked as tough it passed through her fist. Then Aura charged swinging her remaining Sword at Dom left shoulder, she kept the saw like blade back, ready to greet his counter attack if possible.
Dominic's eyes widened at Aura's drill made an appearance in place of one of her blades. Oh, that was just great. He wouldn't admit that he was a bit more scared now. Being nicked by a blade was nothing compared to being hit with a drill. Though that fear was turned to anger when the girl fessed up to being the one who put a hole through Kasumi. Well that was all good. Now he had even more reason to go apesh*t on her...literally. Bury him? That wasn't going to happen, and he wasn't going to die. He had a pack of teddy grahams with his name on them for when this would be over.
The drill became a saw...that was just lovely. She used a drill on Kasumi and wanted to saw Dominic apart. "You've watched The Texas Chainsaw Massacre WAY too many times, but you know what? I admire you're enthusiasm though. Too bad you're not gonna get me! Nyah Nyah!" He smiled poking his tongue at her as he charged towards him swinging her blade towards his right shoulder. He gave her an A for effort. Jumping Spider powers activate! Dominic evaded the attack by springing up in the air and over the girl and landing a good 20 yds behind the girl. "I know you find me sexy and you feel the incredible urge to kill me for you can never have me in your life, but I really need to find a way into that building. " he smiled. "So, yeah. You can go get rid of your angst, cut your wrists or saw off your hands...whatever floats your boat."
Chris was there too. Though Lee hadn't seen the man since Columbia, his presence eased her mind slightly, at least he wasn't falling apart here. She wasn't as happy about him telling the young man whose shirt she was currently using as a compress to fight, though. Would she be dragging his dying ass back in a few minutes because he couldn't function in a fight, too?
But Shin was there, getting a hold of the young woman's legs, and Lee had her shoulders while holding the shirt against the wound as best she could. Apparently the movement was enough to wake her up, though, since suddenly Lee felt a slight stirring in her arms, and heard a very quiet voice.
Looking down, Lee saw that the woman's eyes were open, though slightly. "Shh, it's going to be ok," Lee murmured, trying to reassure the woman, or at least get her to stop moving so much. "We're going to get you all fixed up and everything'll be ok." But she was already passing out again.
Raising Lee's eyes, she saw Chris already turning toward people who seemed hellbent on fighting. "Sebastian's in there," she told him. "If you manage to find him, tell him to hurry up so he can get out here to help."
Then Lee turned the majority of her attention back to Shin and the woman they were carrying in their arms, though her eyes did dart around every so often, watching for anyone who might decide to come after them.
And then Lee heard Tarin's voice. She stopped dead, her eyes searching for her husband who continued to yell. There was a stampede of animals, and Tarin was just barely on the edge of it.
Her eyes widened as she watched. Lee couldn't see who was getting the brunt of that action, but couldn't help but feel a bit of relief at the fact that Tarin wasn't, even though she could see a body getting batted around.
And then it was over. Lee couldn't help but keep watching as she saw Tarin rush over to the person who the animals had attacked. Watch as her husband stood up and looked around until his eyes settled on something at the edge of the battle.
Turning her head as well, Lee saw Slate walking up. Well it was about damn time. Sighing, relieved that none of that had happened to Tarin, Lee started moving again, changing hers and Shin's course to meet up with Slate.
"I thought you said 'a little trouble', Slate," Lee said as she reached her boss and carefully lowered the girl to the ground. Why was everyone so young? Her, Shin, and Slate all had to be around the same age.
((OOC note: It's getting a little drawn out length wise, but I hate using people's names whom I haven't actually been introduced to IC, because then I end up forgetting that fact. The girl is Kasumi, and the young man she's worried about getting hurt next is Dom.))

One of the water mutants began runnning towards Predator, her form shifting and wavering like a flowing river. Great. Water mutants. Since Predator was a purely physical attacker, he had no real defence against them. Maybe, if he smashed them hard enough, they would splatter far enough away from the rest of their body that they couldn't reform.
The water mutant reformed her arm into something bigger, and swung a punch at Predator. Since she had seen what Predator could do, he had to assume she had a special secret planned to hurt him. That said, he had a choice. Either he could meet her punch with a swing of his own, and hope to splatter her to bits, or he could simply dodge out of the way. At the last second, Predator decided to dodge, juking back to avoid the punch. He didn't think his plan to scatter the mutant would work anyways.
Predator saw one of the two water mutants take on a different form. Water and ice? No fair. However, it seemed that he didn't have the full control of his powers, and it looked like he froze himself solid. Well, that certainly made Predator's job a bit easier. Ignoring the first water mutant for a second, Predator padded over to the frozen man, and raised a paw. Sorry, man. he thought, as he brought his foot down.
Predator snapped off the man's arm before his paw came in contact with the top of the man's head, and he shattered into innumerable pieces, scattering bits of himself all over the area. One down, one to go. At least, if he wasn't counting those facing off against Meld and Aura.
He was right there! He had just grabbed her hair. Ready to unleash on this...teenager, and out of nowhere his pal Ranger comes rolling up and slams into both of them. The impact caused Hyde to release her hair and move his hurt leg before he was prepared to take the pain. The stars ran around his field of vision once more. He ended up staggering a good ten feet away from his intended victim. Now he didn't have a good line on her and she would be better prepared.
'Ranger has more sense than that', Hyde thought to himself. 'How could he just jump between me and the girl. He should have known the move I was executing. Perhaps he saw some sort of danger.' Hyde scanned around the field of battle. He certainly didn't see anything that could have caused an immediate danger to himself. He looked over toward Ranger and noticed the immediate danger though, from his ally.
The look in Ranger's eyes was easily read. It was a mixture of disbelief and aggression, each fading in and out as the seconds ticked by. "Ranger, What's up? I don't like the look in your eyes. We need to get these people separated before someone else gets hurt like that girl did a minute ago."
Hyde thought about the green eyed girl with the spots on her that had gotten drilled. At the same time, he saw a plethora of animals appear and charge over toward Wraith's position. A second later and they coalesced into the form of the guy that started it all by calling Wraith out. And there was Wraith off to the side, bleeding and hurt.
Hyde took a defensive stance as he noticed the wall of white at the opening to the building, and the guy who came out onto the field of battle that so closely resembled the one that went after Wraith that they could have been twins. This was getting awfully scary, even for a trained professional like himself. And of course the scariest part of it was that the guy he brought to the party seemed not to like him so much now. He settled his attention back on Ranger and believed that should it come down to a battle, Flynn had enough experience on Michael that he could take him without his powers. Perhaps this would be the time it would get put to the test.
Not once did it even seem to Flynn like a good idea to use his powers. The mutant named Hymn had wormed into his thought processes quite well. Flynn solely believed that his powers would not be needed against these foes.

Chaos continued to rage all around Meld. She knew that more than one had fallen to the ground thus far, either incapacitated or dead, but had little idea of who or who's side they may have been on. Almost her entire concentration was focused on the small circle of fighting around her, involving not only herself but her friends and allies Aura and Predator as well. After the battle there would be time to take stalk of the damage done and there would be time for mourning if it turned out that mourning was necessary. But for now, our of necessity, all emotions and thoughts, save those necessary to ensure her own survival, were turned off.
Close by Meld was aware enough to see Ranger attempt to tackle both Aura and Flynn. Although still unsure why he would do such a thing, since they appeared to be on the same side, she payed it little attention just being thankful for small gifts. She was far more concerned about the potential damage to Aura. Nearly simultaneously another enemy engaged Aura after exchanging some nasty banter. In a split second Meld transferred her attentions from the frozen mutant to the two that were attacking her friend, seeing them as the greater threat for the time being. "It really isn't nice to double team an innocent girl," she said sweetly. At that moment she spotted Predator mauling her previous frozen target, doing some significant damage from what her brief glance told her.
Out of the corner of her eye, just as Meld was preparing to charge her new targets, she saw two beams of green energy being shot at her from yet another enemy. She twisted her body frantically, trying to get out of the way of the beams of energy and was almost successful. She raised her left hand to try and block the beams, but it was the wrong hand to raise, not the one with her shield. Somehow she avoided one of the beams and the other slammed into her arm, just above where her metal hand was attached to her wrist. She knew that was a bad thing, knew that some damage must have been done but she couldn't feel anything, had no way to tell exactly how bad the damage was. With another angry growl she charged at the beam shooting mutant, raising her shield arm. Her other arm she held protectively behind her shield.
"Now don't you have honor, shooting someone from behind," she said sarcastically. She felt no actual anger or disdain at the act, she would have done the same thing herself had she the chance, but it was sometimes advantageous to try and goad your enemies into anger and carelessness. Perhaps he was less experienced in the art of battle and the accompanying art of mind games than she. And if so she would take full advantage of that fact.
(OOC: Jacen will be starting off facing GB but if anyone else is interesting to playing with an Adapted, feel free to shoot me a PM or catch me in the C-Box.)
IC: "We've got a mutant riot at King Pharmaceuticals! All available units, picks up your gear and head. S.W.A.T. will have lead on this situatioN! This is priority one! We've gotten reports from the Mayor as well as from the company security forces!"
The calls had come in and the NYPD was rolling out to head for King Pharmaceuticals. Thus far they were not being authorized to use deadly force unless their own lives were threatened and every man was nervous. Normal riot gear was not designed for battling mutants but that was what they were being equipped with. Every man was wearing riot armor, helmets, and carrying a riot shield. Some carried batons, others carried sub-machine guns with plastic bullets, or even tasers. Ever man was armed with his standard side-arm, but they all wore special holsters with an extra positive locking mechanism to make sure none of the rioters snatched away their weapons. An armored vehicle with a mounted water cannon was on its way but it would be at least another ten minutes before that particular item arrived.
"Grayson, you've got Squad 1! King, Squad 2! Merskowitz, you're leading Squad 3! Break this thing up as quickly as you can and make sure that no bystanders get drawn into this mutant brawl. Assist the security forces whenever possible. Arrest any that resist dispersing and we'll take them downtown. We've got a paddywagon on the way to haul them back to the precinct. Clear?"
***
With a cry of sirens the S.W.A.T. van and several other vehicles pulled up to the Pharmaceutical company entrance. The brawlers were obvious and every man ont he force felt a twinge of fear as they watched mutant power after mutant power being put on display. Only one man felt relatively fearless and he had a secret that few yet knew about.
"Stay together! Don't let anyone separate you from the team!" Jacen King orderer as he and the eight men on his team disembarked from the van and began to circle around the rioters. "We'll get between them and the building and then start pushing them toward the rest of the squad!" Underneath the helmets every man wore the standard issue ski mask that disguised their identity and helped to prevent the threat of any sort of retaliation. Even though this was a standard riot situation, it involved mutants, and that made it anything but normal.
As the men jogged around, praying that the fight would distract the rioters from their presence, Jacen's eyes suddenly fastened on one large individual that was now standing close to the building. "Team, stay together! Get between the rioters and the building and hold your ground! I'll deal with the lone wolf over there!"
A few moments later Jacen was approaching the man that had instigated so much trouble several months before. He didn't remember his name right off the top of his head but he didn't particularly care either. "Step away from the building and return to your residence!" Jacen barked as he closed in with riot shield held high and one hand resting on his taser, "Don't start any trouble!"

The battle continued to progress as the scene passed by, police were now getting more involved and it forced him to act more than just a gate keeper he was also the catapult and instead of firing rocks or flaming haystacks like the olden days instead he was throwing officers of the law, limbs or entire bodies. One went into a helicopter, which had a nice splatter effect on the windshield. Some went into buildings and the majority found their way onto the arriving police cruisers, the effect it had was immediate for a few cruisers turned around after a body landed on the hood of the car.
His attention turned slightly the front of the gate and walked in front of it where a few already dead officers laid. Taking a sip from his flask again Bacchus spotted a few dozen men with plastic shields approaching the full out mutant war that was no insuring, sure he could have intervened but he was gate keeper and unless they were going to approach the entrance they weren’t really an immediate threat of any kind. Rifling through one of the slightly dead slightly living officers Bacchus ripped the police utility belt and rifled through it as he found a few new toys, which included, a nightstick, a taster and a gun. Looking back to the ivory wall behind the main doors Bacchus smiled at the bony spikes that extruded from it, “Think I’ll go with that…” Bacchus said as he walked over and snapped the large spiky bone from the wall and swung it with a staff. Losing interest in the gun and taser Bacchus dropped them and then spotted an oncoming swat man all by his lonesome.
"Step away from the building and return to your residence!"
Bacchus grinned slightly and looked at the man as he raised his plastic shield over his head, it was some mighty big talk for someone who was approaching the ‘Naked Giant’ without much more than back up. The fact that the man was by himself was either stupidity or bravery, Bacchus didn’t really care but decided to respond to the man by taking a step back with his white staff towards the pile of a bodies that laid off to his side.
"Don't start any trouble!"
A smirk climbed over his face as Bacchus responded to the man yet again this time like the last he refrained from saying anything but rather picked up a smaller male security guard from the bottom of the pile who was still alive, slamming the staff into the ground Bacchus reached up and poked the man in the forehead causing the opposite side of the skull to explode open showing brains and red covered bones. With a twitch of the wrist Bacchus threw the body at the lone swat member and then picked up his staff and shouted out, “Frankly I feel insulted, a lone officer of the law approaches me with a shield and from what I can guess, a handgun of some kind, a taser and from what these blokes had on them seconds ago night sticks,” Bacchus paused to let the words sink in as his body started to expand now standing twelve feet tall his shirt shattering in the process, Bacchus frowned to the man and said, “You got stones mate I’ll give you that, which is why I’ll give you a chance to run away…” Bacchus from there reached into the human leftover pile and grabbed the rest of it and then picked up his bony staff. If the man didn’t turn tale and run Bacchus would throw the bodies at him, if he did turn tail and run Bacchus would still through the bodies at him.
Pain. Violence. Even death. The mind of the mutant codenamed Circe spinned, with unfocused eyes watching the fight around her. Mutants, fighting with eachother. Some claimed to fight for peace. The others... for mutant supremacy. But they were all fighting, hurting eachother when they should have been united. Pain. Violence. Hands went up to grab the sides of her tormented head. Death. Alexandra blinked, attempting to remove the curtain of mist settled over her eyes. She shook her head slightly, as the voice of her own personal demon echoed trough her head, pointing to each of the locations where mutants were hurting their kind, where allies turned up on eachother. Friendship, love, peace. This fight was far from those. In a war, they all ceased to exist. Justice. The demon spoke again. They all needed to be purified... and death was the only thing that would do it. Yes, death. "Death." Her lips barely parted away to whisper this simple word. The demon roared in satisfaction, already claiming victory on the mutants troubled mind.
"SHIN, KASUMI'S DYING!"
"Death?" the word left her mouth again, this time, wrapped in a sheet of confusion as her eyes moved around, searching for the possessor of the voice. Dominic.
Friend. Her mind spoke again, this time peacefully. Kasumi was also her friend. And she was dying, or at least that was what Dom was saying. The voices faded into the background, one furious, the other peaceful and calming. The curtain was raised from both her mind and eyes, to see her standing alone and unmoving, relatevily away from the actual battle. She saw people taking care of Kasumi while the others returned to the battle. She paced, slowly, to join the fight again. Her mission, to protect those who weren't on the X-Men team. She glanced around to see who needed her help, until her eyes met a familiar figure from the mansion.
She struggled to remember her name, she had seen her several times around the mansion, including the pool party where she almost drowned. Cailyn. What on earth was she doing here, Alexandra wondered as she let her feet guide her to the young female.
As soon as impact was made the Ranger twisted to take his arm off of Aura as fast as possible, and good thing as he had expected, a pink blade emerged from where his arm had collided with her back. Then, he used his momentum plus the spin to wheel his leg around so that he was facing Hyde who had staggered ten or so feet off. And as he did this he noticed Aura's nod to which he responded by pointing at her with his left hand, still holding his knife, to convey that she is next before turning his head to watch Hyde
"Ranger, What's up? I don't like the look in your eyes. We need to get these people separated before someone else gets hurt like that girl did a minute ago."
The Ranger said nothing at first, he moved his left arm to cover his chest with his knife held blade out and his right arm lower. The elbow bent at a 90 degree angle ready to either raise his gun for a shot or drop the gun and throw a punch.
"Well Hyde, I figured it out. It all makes sense now. You are an agent of Ivan! Why else would you have known where the sniper had been? And don't give me any 'I helped you defeat him' nonsense! Your job was to draw me in and when it became obvious I would defeat him you continued to play your part and gain intel for him, you good sir are a terrorist and I will shut you down!"
The Ranger figured this fight would be easy, he was a fighter and a trained one to boot. Granted, Hyde was as well but the Ranger knew Hyde's power was for stealth where as his would allow him to hit harder and or move faster than Hyde.
The Ranger then sprung into action, he straitened his left arm while spinning his knife around so that he held it with the blade pointing as an extension of his arm not down. He then twisted his torso as he pulled his arm forward and launched the blade at Hyde, then he brought his arm back as he stepped forward with his right foot and brought his right arm up to aim his pistol at Hyde.

Kaz's head snapped to the side as soon as he hear the sirens in the far distance, before anyone but the police knew where they were heading. He stood motionless as he listened to the sirens, if his ears could twitch on their own, they would have as soon as he realized they were heading straight for KP. "For f***'s sake." He said more to himself than anyone else around, especially since none had bothered to respond to his question yet.
He moved to his Escalade and opened the back hatch. Lifting up the false floor, he unlocked and opened the lid of a large, heavy trunk. "Seriously, what the hell is wrong with them, eh? You'd think they'd learn by now." He sighed heavily as he pulled on his black jump-suit which was lightly bullet-proof, and resistant to other forms of damage, and tucked it into his boots so he could access the knives he had there easily. Over that he slipped on a more heavily bullet-proofed jacket, with a few trinkets in the pockets, and a face-mask which filters air and protects his eyes. He pulled out two long-swords which he strapped to his back and two katanas at his hips.
Just before shutting the trunk Kaz stopped, paused and pulled out two shoulder holsters and two 9mm pistols. After strapping them on, he shut and locked the trunk, replaced the floor, shut the hatch and moved away from the car. By the time he was finished the SWAT teams were already moving in an attempt to stop the fight. Shifting as he moved towards the closest SWAT members, hands in the air and unarmed, "Guys, I'd rather not hurt you if it can be helped, so I'll give you one chance to walk away. It's one more chance than I give most humans. Common, I can smell it, I can hear your hearts racing, I can see it, you don't want to be here facing down us Mutants, us 'monsters' right? So walk away." His last words were almost spoken as if he was pleading with them to listen.
While he spoke, he took note of which leg and arm/hand each member seemed to favor. If they started to make any sort of aggressive motions, he'd move quickly and attempt to remove the opposite hand (at the wrist) and/or leg just below the knee).
"you good sir are a terrorist and I will shut you down!"
The words stung when Ranger said them. Someone must be influencing his friend's actions, Hyde thought to himself as he watched Ranger set himself in a battle pose. The knife came quickly. Luckily, he was throwing it ten feet or so with an injured arm. He twisted around quickly. He barely dodged the knife as it spun end over end by his ear. Nearly doing a 360 and pulling his pistol, he finished the turn. Hyde ended up in a sideways profile to Ranger. Hyde hoped he wouldn't have to fire on his friend. The loads were tranq darts not live but going down unconscious in the middle of this skirmish could easily turn to death. What he wasn't ready for, was seeing the barrel of Ranger's gun leveled at him.
"Hey watch it with the pigsticker, someone could lose an eye, namely me."
It was a Mexican stand off. Not how the hero thought would ever happen with himself and Ranger. Flynn slowly started to walk around in a circle, keeping the distance the same between them both, hoping that he could talk some sense into Ranger. A moving target, even a slow one, was better than standing still. An even greater worry for him was that if he couldn't talk him down, did Ranger have live ammo or tranq in his weapon.
"Listen to me Ranger, You know I'm on your side. I took a bullet trying to help you against Ivan. We've been together for a while now. If I were your enemy; I could have taken you down a long time ago. Think about it. There's something else going on. Someone out there is putting this in your head. I would guess its one of the mutants trying to keep the X-men out of the building. Let's just put our weapons away and focus on the threats around us."
Of course throughout all of this, even after stumbling across the reason his friend had begun thinking himself at odds with Hyde, the mutant hero still was himself under Hymn's suggestion. Invisibility could give Hyde an easy advantage, but for some reason it never came to mind. Although, were he to start to vanish, undoubtedly Ranger would fire his gun in response. So perhaps Hymn's mental suggestion that he not use his powers actually had some benefit.
Either Ranger would make a move or Hyde would move himself around until he could duck behind another combatant, like the girl with the pink aura. He had seen her nod over to Ranger, perhaps she was exerting some sort of control over his friend.
If Jacen hadn't had the ability he posessed and known pretty well how it worked, he would have been apsolutely terrified when the Australian suddenly grew larger and much more dangerous. But even knowing his ability didn't stop at least a trinkle of fear to form way down in his stomach... especially when a bloody body was suddenly thrown his way. In one swift move the Australian had escalated his violence from "Aggravated Battery" to "First Degree Murder". There was no way that he could just let the Aussie slip off after pulling a stunt like that.
Slowly lowering his now blood streaked shield, Jacen's eyes were ice cold looking through his helmet. "Running is for cowards and dogs like you." His voice was cold and quiet, barely discernable over the noise but with a deffinately touch of menacing. Without any pause, Jacen suddenly rushed the Aussie, lifting his shield once again to take the brunt of any more body parts while drawing out his taser. The aussie would get once shot from a taser and if that didn't slow him down... well... Jacen was just as capable of killing as anyone. He had proved that in the military as well as down in Florida.
*** (OOC: Kaz, I hope you don't mind my jumping in to manage your NPC SWAT members. Since they're NPCs, of course feel free to GMod them attacking or whatever you might like. If Jacen gets free from GB he'll come over personally but for now, you get the normal police force. :-D )
IC: The four SWAT members turned to face the man that was approaching. He was a scary apprition dressed in battle gears and carrying almost every type of concievable weaponry.
"You mutants can go f*** yourselves for all I care!" One of the men barked back, doing his best to hide the tremor that was creeping into his voice, "I don't give a rats a** what you monsters do to each other. The only reason I'm here is you're brawling on private property and King Pharmaceuticals doesn't want anything damaged!"
While the leader was speaking, one of the men to his right was holding his shield high to try and hide the fact he was unsnapping his side arm.
"So break it up and go fight in an open field or something! If you don't, then we'll be forced to stop you ourselves!"
