The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

After a long night of talking to Silver Streak, Fade was ready for some time in the Danger Room. She was extremely excited to get started on the practice, even though she and Streak were really just doing this for fun. She had slept in a bit, after all, Streak had kept her up the whole night before, although she did not mind. After taking a shower and getting ready, Fade made her way down to her favorite place and started to punch in the program. Since she could not read, she stopped and paused when she ran through some new programs. Things just seemed to get more and more complicated. She really needed to learn how to read...and swim...and do a few other things she never got to learn when she was younger.
Pausing, she realized that she needed just a little bit of help setting up the program. She finished up the few programs that she knew how to set up and then sat back and waited for Silver Streak, wondering what he wanted to set up to do first. Hopefully, he would put it in and she would not have to admit that she was illiterate, that was a sensitive subject for her.

After a long night of being in the War Room and talking to Fade, he finally managed to get a few hours of sleep. Streak went through his normal routine when he woke up. Mainly eating. Finally he walked into the Danger Room. Since he was so late he figured that Fade was already there. He walked straight up to her and said, “Howdy. So what’s the adventure for today?”
Streak was game for anything that they’d discussed last night or earlier that morning, depending on what time it was that they were talking about. He didn’t wait for her to answer. Streak’s eyes were immediately drawn to the control panel. He’d been up there long enough to know that what was being flipped and turned to create the specific simulation they were going to do.
Ah, Streak had arrived just in time to solve her dilemma. Her first thoughts were to try and do a skydiving simulation, but she had no idea how to do that, she only knew the basics, to use an airplane setting, but she could not read how to get out of the plane and jump so you don't die. "So, I'm thinking skydiving, but I'm not sure how to...uh, finish up the programing. Mind punching it in while I tie my shoe?" she asked, getting down on her knees to tie her shoelaces.
When she had finished tying her shoes, she leaned back and popped her back, trying to get ready to...jump out of a plane. It seemed like a great idea and she could not wait to do it or even begin the class. She had already set up a meeting between her and Sam to figure things out, if only she could make sure it went through.

Oh sky diving. Sounds like fun. "Cool." He said. Streak was definitely ready to try these things out. The thought of free falling and not using his powers was a little strange. But Shawn was willing to look past that in order to get an adrenaline rush and to have a little fun doing new things. Streak walked over to the controls and looked at what Fade had already put in place. It was a simple enough program and he wasn't sure what she needed him to do.
Then he found it. Ah yes the minor things like...Parachutes. That would definetely help with this simulation. While Fade was tying her shoe he raised the altitude from 10,000 feet to 25,000 feet. As he was sure she knew the heighest breathable level for was 15,000 ft. and they were going to be 10k feet above that. Either they would dive as fast as they could until they got to the right breathable altitude. Or they could do a minor jump with some air tanks on their backs. Either one would make it interesting. Especially if Fade thought they were at a lower altitude from what they really were at. Life can get dull sometimes. And other time it can scare the pants off ya if your not ready. Which one of these would this be? he wondered. "All set. Ya ready for a little jump?" He asked as he turned to make his way down to the main room.
After she was done tying her shoe, Streak had finished up with the program. Since she was not entirely sure just what he had done, she decided to ask him to clarify. "So what are the conditions?" she asked.; For all she knew, he could have thrown in some snow and a flock of geese just to make it really interesting. The Danger Room provided some gear to put on before the simulation began and Fade lifted up her parachute and began to hook it on. Out of curiousity, she used to sneak onto planes and fly somewhere else or watch what they do, she knew a thing or two about jumping.
"Of course I'm ready," she said, double checking all of her straps to make sure she would not die. Had anyone died in a Danger Room simulation? Maybe she would get a nameplate for that, first Death Room Fatality, wasn't exactly kitchen refridgerator material but it was best just to stay alive. "You ready?"

"25,000 feet. We free fall until we get to like I don't know..." Streak stared to put on his parachute and tighten all the straps. "Maybe free fall to like 6,000 feet? I don't really know when we need to pull it because I've actually never done this before." Streak said. All the straps were tight and secure and he was ready for the jump. "Nothing to tricky. I didn't want to die the first time trying this stuff either." Streak admitted to her.
"Ready. Start." Streak said this last part to the computer. A plane appeared around them and he could feel the vibration from the planes engines. The noise of the plane started to fill his ears. There was someone else in the back of the plane with them. It was the guy that was going to open the hatch for them once they were over their drop zone. It wouldn't take long to get there and they were both ready. "Ya know I hope we're behind the props when we jump otherwise this might turn into a really short jump." Streak said jokingly to her. He didn't think that anyone in their right mind would put the jump exit in front of the engines on a plane. But there was always a first time for everything.
"Right, well since this is a Danger Room session, the room will tell us when it is time to pull our chutes. After all, not like the program wants to kill us," she reassured him. The airplane engulfed them and Fade moved over to the hatch, connected to the wire. She could barely hear Streak over the noise, but she could understand that he was joking around about being sucked into the engines. She laughed and double checked her gear. "Right, no propellor death, please," she smiled, making a mental note to make sure she goes to the bathroom before doing anything like this again.
"See ya in the air!" she said, only giving him a short notice before leaping out of the plane and extending her arms and legs, free falling quickly, but the feeling was amazing. It did not even feel like she was falling, she was flying, most certainly. With great difficulty, she tried to turn her head up to see if Streak was following, but she gave up and just hoped that he would follow.

Fade jumped out of the plane before he could say anything more. It was just as well because he was eager to make the jump as well. Streak carefully, and a little clumsily, walked over to the planes hatch and looked out as Fade fell through the sky. "Well I can't let her land by herself." Streak said aloud because he couldn't hear himself think. "Now or never." Streak said and jumped out of the plane.
Streak fell through the air as he tried to catch up with Fade. The feeling was awesome. He usually didn't do this. He usually just flew. But this was just as fun. As Streak got close her saw Fade look over her shoulder quickly. He guessed that it was to see if he'd jumped yet. Streak flattened his body out and headed faster towards Fade. Once he'd caught up with the red head, he flared out his arms and slowed down. "Did you think I wasn't coming?" Streak tried yelling over the simulated, but very real sounding and feeling, wind that rushed past their bodies. They were falling fast, but he was still enjoying the falling. He looked down and saw the ground rush up at them and he was amazed at the incredible sight.
Just as she had suspected, Streak quickly made his way down to her level. Surprisingly enough though, he spoke, then again, it was just a simulation, it wasn't like they were really sky diving. "I knew you'd come, I just wonder who's going to win this!" she called. The wind felt amazing, almost real and she had to keep reminding herself that it was just the Danger Room. That was the reason why Fade absolutely loved the Danger Room, it could basically do anything that crossed her dare devil mind.
With Streak being a flying mutant, she would prefer to bring him to the lesson, just in case someone's chute malfunctioned, he could save them. But that was for a real life scenario, even though Fade felt a bit more secure with a flying mutant. Closing her arms to her body and putting her legs together, she shot down farther than Streak, keeping her eyes peeled for the sign to release her parachute while challenging Streak.

Streak could barely hear Fades come back. It was so lifelike if you didn’t know where you were you’d swear you had just jumped out of a real plane. Streak smiled as best he could. Of course it was hard to smile when wind was pushing your skin into a ponytail at the back of your skull. He watched her shoot closer and closer to the ever growing ground. The smile soon became wider and he shot down after her. Streak was catching up fast and he knew that all he had to do would be to pull his shoot later than when Fade did.
Although there was nothing he could help with if he messed up this jump. Since he’d never done a jump like this, especially in the Danger Room, he didn’t know if the place would tell them when to open their chutes or not. Streak wasn’t going to cheat. He wanted to win but he wasn’t going to start flying to do it. That would give him an unfair advantage. As it was he was catching up to her again. Slowly but surely the gap between the two was closing. Streak tucked his legs in closer to him so that he looked more like a ball, but not completely, the gap closed faster. Suddenly there were bright red words that appeared saying ‘PULL PARACHUTE NOW!!!’ flashing. Streak moved quickly. Before you could say “hi again” he reached to pull Fade’s cute.
Streak shot down after her quickly. If he was using his powers, she'd thwap him on the head after the simulation. Just as she saw him catch up to her, the signal to pull the chutes sounded and instead of Streak pulling his chute, he tried to pull her's!? Fade was not at all the lady like sort of mutant. If she could do something on her own, she preferred to do it on her own. No one opened doors for her, she hated that, no one got her a drink when she was right next to the fridge, no one even threw her a towel after some time at a hot tub. That was not going to change by Streak trying to pull her chute for her, no sir. "Hey! No cheating!"
With that, she phased herself and her parachute pull through Streak's hand before diving on ahead. She'd pull her chute, she was actually reaching for it when it suddenly pulled on it's own. It seemed the Danger Room did not like her little reckless competition. If only it had waited one more milisecond, she would have done it herself. The parachute opened and caught the air underneath her, pulling her body and bones up abruptly as it began to float around the sky. Well, if the Danger Room ruined her fun, she hoped it'd pull Streak's for him too. Laughing quite hard, she recovered her sore bones and began to direct the parachute, spinning once for fun.

Streak’s hand suddenly went through Fade’s body and her parachute. The miss sent him tumbling a little through the air before he caught himself and continued his fall. He watched her fly down past him. Laughing? Was she laughing at him? Man. She’s going to win. he thought right up until he shot past her and her open chute. What the heck? Did she pull it? he saw one hand moving to pull it but it didn’t look like she had gotten that far yet. “Hahaha.” He laughed out loud. “I’m going to win.” He said more to himself, because Fade was already above him.
Suddenly his cute deployed also and his body was carried back up into the sky as his parachute filled up with the wind that rushed by them. The silver eyed mutant was back up to Fade’s height. He circled around and around as they slowly descended the rest of the way to the ground. “Well it was fun while it lasted.” Streak said. He was having fun free falling, but he had to admit that hanging there and not being able to do much wasn’t much fun. After a minute or so he said, “Now what?” Streak looked down at the ground and swung his legs while they floated.
Fade cursed under her breath as Streak, well, streaked right past her. Just as she was about ready to spin after him, his chute pulled and he was level with her. Although her laughter had ceased when he shot past her, now she was all laughs again when he was caught in the same scenario. The two fluttered around in the air, a little bored with just looking around the sky. It was a beautiful sight underneath them, but it was not too terribly interesting.
Apparently, Streak had the same feeling of boredom and Fade smirked. Earlier, she had programed in something else, but had just set it to delay. Actually, any minute now, the new program would occur. Spinning around Streak, Fade spoke up "Hey, hold your breath!" with that, the ground suddenly changed into water and they descended rapidly into the next program of their session: deep sea diving. Except this was not coral reef kind of stuff, there were sharks and the water would get darker and darker the deeper they dove. At the bottom, two little life rafts floated with their diving gear, they just needed to get out of the parachutes and swim to the life rafts.

“Hold my breath? Why would I hold my breath?” Streak asked before he noticed that there was no more ground. It was all water. “Sweet.” He commented once he was closer to the ground. Deep sea diving is just what the doctor ordered to cure the boredom of floating down. Streak thought. There was plenty of room to swim and the two life rafts made this even better. Since they weren’t over land anymore they were sinking faster. Without warm air to hold them up, they only had the cool water air. And that wasn’t much to stay aloft by.
“Hey. Do you know how to get out of these? Cause I don’t want ya to drown.” Streak said. Just getting out of the jumpsuit could prove dangerous. He’d seen a James Bond movie once where Bond did a HALO jump. The guy that was staying on board he plane said that lots of people died because they got tangled up in their chutes ropes once they hit the water. Of course James bond could do it but then again, was there really anything 007 couldn’t do? He was maybe twenty feet from the waters surface. Streak started to undo his parachute pack. When he was ready he threw the pack off and dropped like a rock into the water. Coming to the surface he swam the rest of the way to his life raft. “That was fun.” Streak said as he started to mess with his scuba gear.
Streak seemed to be confused and his face suddenly changed to excitement when he looked down to see the water. It was the exact reaction that she wanted from him. Their session couldn't possibly be boring! Being a girl, Fade found that many people worried for her when situations arised that could be dangerous, but she was usually underestimated. Laughing again, she turned to Streak and nodded, "I can get out of this, don't worry."
With that, Streak jumped into the water, untangling himself from the parachute. Well, that was the hard way to do it. Choosing to do it the Fade way, she simply phased through the parachute straps that were holding her in place and dropped into the water. One thing she had forgot to mention was that she did not know how to swim really. Probably not the best idea then, but she doggy paddled over to the raft, hoping that Streak did not find it weird. She could continue the session, once she had oxygen and fins. Crawling into the raft, she began to put on her gear. "Thought you'd enjoy that," she smirked before putting on her goggles, hugging her gear to her face and leaning backwards into the water. Under the surface, she held up the underwater flashlight and waited for Streak. With the air tank and the fins, she was just fine and able to swim, but without them, she was doomed.
