The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

((OOC: Post parts by Dom done by Dom using the power of teamwork!))
Not five seconds into the simulation, they'd already found and dispatched the first orb. It hit the virtual dirt with a clank. Shin glanced over his shoulder at Alexandra and nodded. "Sure thing. And-- whoa!" He spun as she flung a bit of the flooring at a robot that had appeared beside him. It smashed into a tree, then down to the danger room's floor. These things really weren't one for stealth themselves, were they?! He rushed over, helping Dom to his feet in the momentary lull between attacks.
"You know, we're supposed to be working on stealth, Dominic..." Shin muttered as he jerked Dom up by the right hand and set him on his feet.
"I didn't know it was going to attack me that fast. Jeez, I was trying to get a good view of the area so I could see their location and based on that, I would know where not to go and where the orbs would be found so I can strike..." Dominic replied. He didn't really have that kind of plan in mind, but he didn't want to look like a complete idiot. "So yeah. Stealth. Too bad I can't turn invisible or walk through walls..."
Shin shook his head. At least it sounded like the kid had a plan. "Okay, okay. Well, don't be so--" Two orbs spun up behind Alex, unnoticed by her and Shin.
It hadn't been on, but now Dominic's primordial sense was triggered by that attack and the blonde was on full alert. While Shin was speaking, Dominic noticed not one, but two of those orbs appearing behind Alex. The boy had used the spider's DNA to hop up the tree and so he chose to use another one of its abilities. The sixteen year old decided to literally pull a Spider Man as he projected silk strands of web from glands in his skin from his wrists. Once the bots were tangled, Dominic swung his hands around hurling the little machines into a nearby tree.
"...You're welcome." he smiled.
“Careless…” Shin finished flatly as the boy dispatched two drones. He turned to stand with his back to Dominic, on-guard now. A smirk spilled across his face. “Nice work. Now…”
His cube flew forward to leave a dent in a third robot as it drifted towards them. They’d obviously done away with the stealth in this part of the mission. His 3’ triangle flew at the robot, slicing it in two on the follow up. Shin brushed a stray hair from his face with an ounce of narcissism. “Maybe now we should go find a place to hide…”

Once everyone had started the little training session he decided to leave the viewing box and join them. Before he left he slipped on a pair of bracelets that would tell the orbs that he wasn't involved in the training. Since Streak wasn't going to be involved, at least at the moment, then he was going to follow them and see how they were handling the situation. Sot far the three of them seemed to be doing pretty well. They'd already gotten rid of a few of the orbs, although they weren't doing it as stealthily as he'd have hoped. But... some things couldn't be avoided.
Shin's way of destroying them was pretty cool. Since Streak hadn't seen Circe's powers before he was starting to wonder if they were actually earth related. If they were then she'd have a great time with this session. Streak was starting to form other plans for the three of them. He wanted to challenge them all, and he needed to figure out a way to do that. Once Streak had entered the forest a couple of orbs had flew past him and headed straight for Shin. It seemed like they didn't exactly like seeing their fellow bots being destroyed. Perhaps they even remembered him from when he'd put Shin up against them in his X-Men tryout.
"Well, that shouldn't be too hard to do, but will hiding really do anything? Don't these little robots have trackers or something they can find us with?" Dominic asked Shin. While there weren't any bots in sight at the moment, the boy's primordial sense was still going off, meaning that the threat was still looming over them. It wasn't long before more bots showed themselves and they all seemed to be heading for one target...
"Dude..did you get hexed by some mutant with probability powers or something? That or they just really don't like you..." he said to Shin leaping away from the asian mutant. "Is this one of those scenarios where if we get rid of their target, Alex and I will survive?...Small joke."
A mere moment of losing her focus on their targets and two orbs were already behind her and Shin, ready to zap them. As Dom was doing his cool Spiderman trick, her own eyes moved from the teen’s hands to the orbs that now where buzzing on the ground damaged and covered in spider web.
Alexandra turned her head back to Dom, giving him a small nod as a thank you. Watching each other’s back. That was exactly what she was thinking about. A third spherical robot appeared, this time Shin sending his shards directly trough it, slicing it in two pieces.
Listening to both Shin and Dom as they talked about finding a hiding place, her eyes drifted to where Silver Streak was walking calmly, orbs flying past him with no interest. Well, at least Streaky boo will certainly leave this room undamaged.
“Perhaps they would find us but it would be better if we’re not in their plain view at all times.” she stated as her eyes and powers focused on the incoming orbs.
Alexandra let out a laugh at Dom's small joke as she turned her head slightly toward the boy. "If everything else fails Dom..." Alexandra said turning her head to Shin while slightly shaking her head with amusement. Incoming orbs, she reminded herself, and a moment later she was focusing on two of the vengeful robots. Their metal cover started to ripple and extend until the two bots were united by it. Stopping the molecular manipulation on them, she let the metal to come back to it’s usual solid status and watched how the two orbs stopped in mid air, each trying to get in another direction. Another molecular manipulation later, and their shooting device was covered in metal, leaving the orbs powerless.

>>"Well, that shouldn't be too hard to do, but will hiding really do anything? Don't these little robots have trackers or something they can find us with?"
“No. Clue!” Shin spat. He flowed backwards, dismissing his shards as Dom leapt away from him, trip-trop-trampin’ through the underbrush. If they really were after him, he’d have to lead them away from Alexandra and Dom. As Shin slid down a tiny dip in the forest’s canvas of green, he raised his right hand, thinking. A trio of pink shards floated above his palm. Trees showed, reflected on each triangle’s face. His eyes narrowed as an idea began to brew.
He called up another shard, then another, and another. He filled the entire area around him with shards to reflect the forest. It wasn’t perfect. It was far from it, in fact. But in essence, it was an attempt at stealth. Dirt dug into Shin’s nails as he climbed back up the hillside, area around him obscured by shards.

The three of them seemed to be getting along pretty well. With the banter that was going back and forth he chuckeled a little though he was a little disheartened that thy were able to take this so lightly. This should have been harder. Streak did have to admit that this wasn't exactly his hardest one he'd made before.
Consodering the ones that he'd made in the past his was fairly simple. Shin actually seemed to get the idea about what mightwork to trick the orbs or through them off his trail. Streak wasntsure what he was doing but the silver man did like the thought and new idea Shin wa tying. To be hinest, Streak hadn't seen the Asians powers since the tryouts. The other two he'd actually never seen. Although he did like what he'd seen with Alexandra's powers. Dominic was an interesting person and he made a note to watch this guy for a while.
(Ooc:Feel free to continue without me. I'll be popping in but I don't want to hold y'all up with my side bar comments.)
Alexandra frowned as Shin's figure departed from her position. She shook her head as her eyes shifted from where Shin had last been to Streak's figure walking calmly as orbs flew past him... and her jaw practically dropped. Another dozen of orbs had made its appearance ... then another. The molecule manipulator gasped as she pivoted on her feet. "RUN!" She shouted as her legs had already started moving, trees passing her by but none that could actually provide her a hiding place. A bush appeared in front of her eyes, and glancing to her sides desperately, Alexandra jumped in.

Shin's head popped up from the bottom of the trench. First one ear, then the other, then eyes. He peeped around. Not a person in sight.
So there he lay, surrounded on all sides by shards the colors of leaves, hiding from a bunch of robots, and his team mates had abandoned him. It was times like these Shin wished he were a Gundam. Friends didn't let friends leave Gundams behind. Friends piloted Gundams. And Gundams were BIG.
So big, in fact, Shin wouldn't of needed to bother with stealth. Because he wouldn't have had stealth. No stealth. No hiding. Just flat out mecha stompage, larger than life.
It was times like these when Shin was glad he wasn't a giant robot. Giant robots smooshed friends.
Cautiously, he crept along the edge of the trench, following their path. He kept low, hiding under his shards. Slowly, slowly. An inch or so every minute. He avoided making sudden moves. Sudden moves caught attention, he noted. And attention was exactly what Dom and Alexandra didn't need at the moment.
"Ok...these things are starting to get annoying!" Dominic said sprinting towards one of the trees. While Alex and Shin had their own way of concealing themselves, Dom had his too. He quickly scurried up to the top of the tree using the squirrel's agility and hid within the branches. He crouched low and remained still and silent. Should any bots be near by, his primordial sense should alert him. That's if he actually pays attention to it this time, which he planned to.
"Oh man...why can't I have some kind of blast power..." he sighed to himself.
And not just sitting, for the damn thing decided to trap one of her legs, making her land in one hell of an awkward position. She was almost sure that she had several scratches upon her face because she did not see that there was a smaller bush just behind. The molecule manipulator blinked furious as she pulled her leg back to her. The bush fought against her with all its might. Growling, she pulled again, more strength added to the motion. Which of course caused her to loose her balance and almost fall flat on her face. Almost.
Her nostrils flared with anger as her foot untangled itself from the bush. Letting out a breath, she rotated her body. She was so damn sick of those annoying little orbs. Hell with stealth. With a sigh, she pushed herself up to her feet, losing the coverage the bush provided. “Come here, you little bastards.” she muttered under her breath. With leaves and small little twigs in her hair, Alexandra moved her fingers several times as she waited for the robots to notice her. “Dom, tell me if any come from behind.” she shouted. She wasn’t aware of his location since she was to busy to get rid of the annoying bush when Dom went into hiding but she certainly hoped that he heard her and that he’d let her know if those pestering robots decided to sneak attack her. Also, she hoped that while she was attracting their attention, Dom and Shin could attack the metal orbs from their location. If not… oh well, no time to think about that cause some were just heading her way.

The heck is she doing...?
Shin was poised on the slope of a hill, his chest pinned down close to the dirt. Ahead of him, Alexandra was shouting. Why was she shouting? For what purpose did she deal away with stealth? This mission was stealth-oriented, was it not? With the hiding and the death orbs seeking them out, and no goal in sight. They were supposed to burrow in holes for twenty minutes, or until Streak got bored and told them off... right? That was incredibly boring. Incredibly, incredibly boring, and with little to no tactical usage. This, on the other hand, appeared to be a decoy.
And decoys were tactical.
An orb spun around the tree directly in front of Alexandra. A second gave off the shine of metal as it sneaked behind the trunk of a tree on her right. On her left, a third orb dropped from the forest ceiling to hang at eye-level. The three orbs drifted inwards, like hyenas circling their prey.
Shin's eyes swerved to a Dominic Monkeyboy squirreled away up high in a tree. He nodded once, dropping the layer of shards to momentarily increase his visibility. Hope Dom saw that..., Shin thought to himself, as the shard camouflage snapped back up.
Three-counts weren't useful when you had no way to coordinate attacks. Three counts weren't useful when deadly ninja death orbs sensed motion, and drew towards it at a moment's notice. Three counts were really quite cool when they were done on a shielding sheet of shards that hung above Shin's backside.
3 red shards flecked up into being, visible from above.
2 red shards remained visible from the sky.
1 red shard stood outlined against a sea of greens and browns that melded with dirt.
and... 0... 0 red shards visible from a bird's eye view. All the green and browns shot forwards to bisect the first orb! Shin leaped from the hillside with a battle cry that would have made Mel Gibson proud. His fist pumped. His mouth formed into vicious faces as two more orbs flew in from Alexandra's left and Dominic's right.
This was a battle royale, and everyone was invited.
