The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Daria dragged Mike out onto the mansion grounds. It was dark and the stars were in the sky, but nothing compared to Maine. But Daria was happy she could call this place home now, truely and fully.

"Of course...unless we mysteriously get teleported to another place...but...its not like either of us cant teleport." she grinned running in a circle around him before taking off.

Daria grinned. She weaved in and out of trees going at a normal pace for the time being. She closed her eyes periodically, able to navigate by smell and sound, and the vibrations of Mike's foot steps.
"Yeah, this is better than Knitting." she grinned, her eyes still closed.
Mike laughed. She couldn't see it, since he was ahead, but his eyes were closed as well. His telekinesis saturated the area, letting him have a sense of where everything was, even though it was pitch black out.

Daria followed, not minding Mike being ahead, she had no reason to rush. She avoided the rocks and fallen branches. They were in the area of the grounds that had basically been untouched.
And, of course, as Mike kept relying on his telekinesis to guide him, he started getting complacent... and got sloppy. A large rock, plainly visible even in the dead of night, was right in front of him, and he tripped over it, falling rather hillariously and rolling a few times before smacking down on his back and opening his eyes.
"Shit. Okay, that was... awkward," he muttered, shaking his head to clear it.

Daria just chuckled. "Personally, I like to take joy in the fact that we have all achieved our greatest goal." she said with a straight face.
"Potty training." before he could laugh she went on. "Think about it. You could be super rich and be the best navigator in the world but if you're still peeing in your pants no one will respect you." she finished.
Mike did laugh. It was true, but probably the funniest thing he'd heard all day. "You're great, you know that?" he laughed. "Yes... I might trip over stones, but my underwear is gratefully dry."

"Yeah, I know I'm great. But I'm so serious about that. Linda said it to me once. I guess all of the secret agent work had gone to my head. She comes up to me and says "remember kid, no matter how many times you save the world, your greatest achievement happened the day you stopped wearing diapers."
Daria smiled. "She....has a very unique yet potent way of getting her point across."
