The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Teddie dropped Orb into a seat and sat next to Fade. "Whatcha thinkin' bout?" she asked, leaning her chin on the seat in front of her. "Sometimes I can get a sense of what people are feeling, but it's way easier with animals. Less complicated, y'know?"
(sorry teddie and fade, here in south island of new zealand, we had a massive dump of snow, lost power for over a week!)
*sits down in the empty seat opposite fade*
thinks "dam zonin out, wasted time. I wanted to have a game of checkers or something"
*is comfortable in bus seat. turns head toward fade:* "Hi, I'm Axel Pike... *introduces self to fade, mentioning that he may be called Golem, and describes powers also (same as before)*"
ooc: woah, pc died, had to get it fixed... but i'm back
Clayton slid into the nearest seat he could find to the group and dropped his chin into his hands. He simply listened, rather than join in on the conversations. He still fealt like an out sider more or less and really didn't need his stupid actions making things worse.

Her natural inclination to silence got the better of her and Teddie closed her mouth, staring out the window. She watched the scenery pass with disinterest.

OOC: Ask Fade that. BIC: Without really realizing it, Teddie began to hum and then to sing softly under her breath. "I don't know if You can hear me, or if You're even there..I don't know if You would listen to a mutant prayer. They tell me I am just an outcast and I shouldn't speak to You. But still I see Your face and wonder..were You once an outcast too? God help the mutants, hungry from birth and show them the mercy they don't find on Earth. The lost and forgotten, we look to You still. God help the mutants, or nobody will. I ask for nothing, for I can get by. But I know so many less lucky than I. God help my people, the poor and downtrod. I thought we all were children of God. I don't know if there's a reason why some are blessed, some not. Or why the few You seem to favor..they fear us, they flee us, they try not to see us. God help the mutants, the tattered and torn, seeking an answer to why they were born. The winds of misfortune have blown them about. You made the mutants, now don't cast us out. The poor and unlucky, the weak and the odd. I thought we all were children of God. God help the mutant children of God...."

[[Actually no. It's the pop ballad version of a song from the Disney movie, "The Hunchback of Notre' Dame. But instead of outcasts, I used the word mutants.]]
Finally, the bus pulled up in front of a large shopping center and Teddie stood, stretching. "Finally. Let's make like a trumpet and boogie."
*everybody climbs out of the bus, stretching along the way*
(whats the plan, dont tell me we are just gonna shop
Anyone seen orb? he/she started this, lets get to the good part, its been dragging for long enough and theres that new whitmore thing) (im sorry that i get impatient, please don't take offense)
*Axel gets out and stretches a bit, then pats his pocket in a hurried search for shopping money* "Blast, only a couple dollars, left my wallet behind," he mutters to himself. *he rubs his stiff neck and looks around at the shops. His stomach rumbles a bit*
Finding a possible good lunch spot he makes a mental note of the direction and turns back smiling to the group to find out what the plan is.

[[What you don't like shopping? ]]
Teddie grinned. She had her wallet on a chain in her back pocket and six or seven of Mommy and Daddy's credit cards. "I cannot wait..finally. Shopping without Mommy and Daddy to boss me around about what I'm buying. My parents always used credit cards to show me how much they loved me." she explained to Axel as she got off. "Wanna go see how much love a Visa Gold card can buy?" she grinned.
Clayton stepped off the bus, nearly last, and slowly walked towards the mall. He raised a hand and pushed the hair from his eyes in a deliberate, habital motion and pushed through the front doors and into the large buiding.
He walked steadily behind the others, just by a few feet, so he didn't feel like he was imposing himself into their group, even if he was trying.
Fade shook her head to get a thought out. She was staring at some food and she had no money, so, her natural thoughts were, steal food or steal money. *No, you're a good mutant, no more past life, you're a good mutant*. She thought as she closed her eyes tightly, yet the urge grabbed ahold of her and she got up, walking in the middle of everyone. Suddenly, her hand disappeared and she slid it quietly into someone's pocket, retrieving a wallet. She then turned the wallet invisible as she scoured it for money. When she found it, she pulled it out and slipped it in her back pocket, allowing the wallet to drop on the ground and become visible as soon as she let go. Swiftly, she moved through the crowd and pulled out her trophies, $50, she knew it, a man like that wouldn't have just carried around a few dollars, he did not look like a credit card man, he looked like an ordinary man that would carry plain old money.
Clayton closed his eyes as he watched Fade slip out the wallet. He was an observant kind of guy, and he noticed most things, but he'd never seend someone slip a wallet out of a pocket like that so expertly.
He shook his head and put it to the back of his head, storing the scene to watch later. He wasn't about to call her out in the middle of the mall, with crowds of people everywhere. He instead settled to stand and follow her, wondering what she'd do with the stolen money.

Teddie slipped up behind Fade and put a hand on her shoulder. She had noticed the pickpocketing. "Hey..you didn't have to do that you know. All you had to do was ask. I don't mind spending Mom and Dad's money on friends..now that I actually HAVE some that is." she told her as she slipped her arm around the girl's shoulder. "My parents don't care how much money I spend and they've got loads to burn, so I might as well, right? C'mon Fade..I'll buy ya a slice if you put the money back."
