The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Bryce, otherwise known as Orb, walked onto the grounds of the mansion. After talking to Fade about going to the mall, he wondered the mansion for the next twenty minutes trying to recruit people to head over to the Mall with them.
He sat down casually on the stone bench and looked at his watch. It was a little bit after noon. They had some time before that had to be back at the mansion. He sat and waited for everyone to arrive...
Fade made her way out of the mansion, she had to change! She was now wearing a black cami, a white, button-up, short-sleeve shirt (that was unbuttoned) and tight, tattered jeans. She wore champions on her feet and a dolphin necklace was strung around her neck. Bracelets covered her arms with charms and beads and those things you can make into bracelets from a bottle cap.
Her eye caught Bryce and she walked over to him and sat down next to him. "Anyone else coming?" She asked before she propped her head on her knuckles and crossed one of her legs (basically, this was her "bored" position)

Orb shrugged. He honestly didn't know if anyone else was coming. "I dunno...The bus will be here in fifteen minutes anyway...either way. We're going..." He shrugged and rolled a rock around on the ground with his shoe.
Merboy smiled to himself and thought that he was going to finally make some friends. He knew not to get his hopes up. Even still, he loved to talk to people and be around them if he could. He derives from a dolphin-like creature so if nothing else he would try to be social. That doesn't mean he likes other mutants. In fact, he blames mutants and humans for the systematic destruction of the Earth. Then again, he wouldn't be wrong about that. There were some mutants who tried to destroy the Earth and that goes the same for some humans. It's not right for him to generalize though.
He was dressed like a lifeguard or something. He was wearing a white, sleeveless shirt that had a red cross in the middle, a pair of red shorts, black shades and flip flops. He didn't like to dress heavy; he liked to dress light. He dressed this way even in the winter time simply because cold and heat doesn't affect him in the same way that it does any normal person. It's almost as if he doesn't feel it.
Upon walking to the others who had already arrived, Valu gave his introduction but through telepathy; he can't speak. ~So, this all we have in the He-Man woman haters club? Thought for sure we'd have more people...~ he projected.

Bryce noticed another person walking up. He reminded him of the lifeguards he'd watch on the O.C...not that we watched that show or anything. "Hey." he said out loud to the boy. "You interested in heading to the mall with us?"
Valu corked his head to the side. He was so tempted to give a smart mouth comment. He thought that his dress and his demeanor was enough to suggest that he was tagging along; that's just how this guy is. But, for the sake of being nice and trying to make some friends, he didn't let his mouth jump out of his gums just yet.
Merboy used his telepathy. It was his own form of communication. ~Why certainly I'm coming along. I spend most of my life in a tank. Getting out should do me some good. But in this case, I hope we're not going to a movie to see chick flicks. Last time I was brought along to some business establishment for shopping I ended up watching Brokeback Mountain. I thought it was an okay movie but I'd much rather be watching cartoons,~ he projected to Bryce.
"Ummm... I'll go," Clayton spoke up. It was only his first day at the mansion and he figured now was as good as any time to make some friends. Or rather try to make friends. He brushed a hand through his black hair and zipped up his favorite sweatshirt, black cloth with an elaborate white design printed onto the front.
"So, when are we leaving?" he asked, shuffling his feet and shoving his hands into his jean pockets. He knew he was supposed to be finding the head of the school, but he had no idea of where to look within the vast expanse of the school grounds.
A smirk played across the young redhead's face as she put down her hands and pushed herself off of the stone bench she was sitting on. "Now this, this is definately gonna be interesting." She chuckled looking at the lifeguard and the one in a sweatshirt. "I guess we're leaving like 15 minutes." She said, looking past the fence. Yup, this was definately going to be alot better than sitting around waiting for someone to drop something from the sky that the students could try and destroy. Plus, there were three guys and only one girl...she was definately outnumbered. More girls, then it wouldn't feel so awkward, then again...she never felt uncomfortable and awkward around guys, it wasn't that big of a deal to her. Fade grew up in a world where flirting and opposite sexes and everything that puberty takes one through in highschool and middle school were not present, so guys were no big deal to her.
"Cool," Clayton replied, brushing a few strands of black hair from his eyes, revealing a bright green eye to anyone who cared to look. He smiled at her and shuffled his feet again.
"Any idea of where I can put my stuff until we get back?" he said, indicating the blue duffel bag held limply at his side.
"I guess you can just toss it behind this bench." She shrugged. "I mean, this is a mansion that has X-Men in it, I'm sure no one'll steal it. If someone does, then I feel sorry for them." She chuckled. To steal from another mutant was just unheard of. Of course, some had the guts to do this, but Fade never did, she prefered not to get in a powers battle with another mutant that was possibly and probably more powerful than her, she was mainly good at running away or hiding, but most mutants could sense, smell, or hear her, so her powers were basically useless around other mutants. The humans, yes, they're a different story, she could fool them so easily.
*inside the mansion, axel passed by a window and something caught his eye. There were a bunch of people sitting outside on the stone bench waiting. Axel was bored and wanted some excitement or at least a chance to socialise, so he zipped outside quick* "Hey, whatsup everybody? Anything happening today?" asked Axel

"Hey sorry it took me so long, Fade. I had to drop Mags off in my room. Public outings really aren't her um..thing. So..these your friends?" she asked, eyeing the group.
"I guess so, they kinda popped up for the ride too." Fade said in reply to Teddie. She looked over at Axel as she had never met him before, or at least, she didn't believe she had ever met him. "Nothing much, just trying to find something to do, apparently these two guys are zoned out." She said, nodding to the lifeguard and Orb.
