The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Starting in the first week of April, the Kabal will take over Colombia. The X-Men and the Order will not interfere.
Let's explain.
The Setting Colombia of the MRO world is much like the Colombia of the RW. Drugs are omnipresent, driving the forces of daily life and politics. Marxist insurgents battle for control of the drug trade against local militias turned paramilitant; politicians of dubious allegiance campaign for change; the United States offers training and supplies to a military force implicated in crimes against humanity. Since la Violenca, the undeclared civil war that began with the assassination of a presidential candidate in 1948 and spanned a decade, Colombia has averaged upwards of seventy massacres a year. It supplies ninety percent of the world's cocaine. In the MRO universe, the strength of mutants in their ranks allowed the main paramilitant group, the AUC, to remain strong enough to resist disbanding by the government. It and the main insurgency, the FARC, rule the countryside and stretch tendrils of control into the cities and up into the highest levels of government.
Slate's Plan It will begin with two things: the Youths for Change Convention in Bogota, and a rural school demolished by a paramilitarist attack.
Slate, already an established philanthropist with donations to both the Valentine's Ball and the Mansion, will offer up Mondragon Labs' funds to aid in fully rebuilding the school, and expanding it to also include a medical center. Naturally, being a rather hands-on young force for idealistic change, he'll be right there for the rebuilding, and will offer his own healing services no-questions-asked; this will result in a few FARC soldiers coming to him for treatment. Slate requires permission to enter their minds to heal them; he is under no obligation to inform them that while they've opened their minds voluntarily, he'll also be inserting the "loyalty to Slate" command of coup fame.
End goal: have the loyalty command implanted into the minds of the leading figures in the drug trade, both on the FARC and AUC sides. Own the drug trade, own the money, own the ability to stabilize the country out of its decades long internal conflicts.
Naturally, the entirety of the Kabal will be mobilized to this end, with missions involving the removal of those invasive US forces, locating drug trafficking strongholds, securing better lives for the nation's child soldiers, and restoring rain forest tracks clear-cut by the drug trade.
If at any point this looks like a take-over from the outside, I am not doing my job.
The Youths for Change Convention The Youths for Change Convention is the excuse anyone (especially Mansion students), can use to be in the area. It's a college age and younger convention for young leaders looking to change the world; created by Colombia's own feed-up youth, it has drawn world-wide attention, and is open to people from all nations. It will be held in Medellin, the former base of Pablo Escobar's drug empire in the eighties, and will be a sprawling city-wide event. The conference will take place over the course of one IC week.
The Language Colombia is a Spanish-speaking country. The Kabal can get around that through Dragon Speak's gems; the rest of ya'll are on you's own, sweetums. RPing about language and cultural barriers can be quite the challenge; have fun with it. Local volunteer translators will be available at all Convention events, but will be more scarce throughout the city at large.
Your Place Kabal members: All active Kabal members can look to their inboxes when this starts for mission details. You'll all have at least one mission, either solo or in small teams. The missions will be staggered, so that our activities are harder for outsiders to link together. Note: Kabal members will not be aware that we are taking over the entire nation at the time they are doing it, nor will they know about each other's orders.
The Order and the X-Men: The Youths for Change Conference. Have fun with it. I'll put out a few ideas for Conference events, but I'll let the interested parties flesh this out. Note: Most of the Kabal's activities will be out in the countryside, quite a trek from the city of Medellin at which the conference will be located.
Neutrals: Feel free to head to the Convention. If you want a Kabal commission for this take-over, please PM Slate. Mission priorities will go to actual Kabal members, however. PM Slate to join, as well.
This take-over is Mod-approved. Questions or comments, anyone?
First round missions are now a few posts down, because I just learned the difference between the "modify" button and the "delete" one. *facepalm*
PS: Conference outline to follow; if someone wants to take the initiative on planning that, though, go for it! I'm only controling the Kabal & Comissioner's side of things; that part of the plot exists for any others who are interesting in being in the area. It's up to everyone outside of the Kabal to make it a success or failure.

No killing will be difficult but as long as there is plenty of drinks for me i think i might be able to get through it, also i wouldn't mind helping on the Rescue Roland thread, seeing as i am a fellow "Black" member *thinks we should have team Black jackets*

Um, if you think Lee's going to be letting Tarin go wandering around the jungles of Columbia looking for restless spirits, you really don't know her very well. ;-) So yes, Lee will be in on the 'Those who died' mission, though possibly to a lesser extent than everyone else.
And Lee's definitely up for helping with some of the Rebuilding, although that might have already been implied since her name's there in the description of that mission...
Sorry, my mind isn't necessarily all here right now, but I just want it made clear that I'm up for both those missions.

for the ones that doesnt know a lot of FARC or AUC you can look here there are a lot of pictures that can be really useful to give a better idea of how things looks like . another useful map hope it be useful for all of you .
The Colombia Plan will launch on April 1st/2nd, with a solo post by Slate as the signal. These are the first round missions. More will follow. If you want in on an open mission, post here or PM me. If you’ve got your own ideas for a mission, likewise. As Kabal Leader, I claim veto right over any mission idea that messes with my plans, but I <3 player initiative. This plot will be as flat or as awesome as you guys make it. Be creative. I don’t expect or want everything to go perfectly; just warn me ahead of time if you plan for a mission to entirely flop.
Let us show the disbelievers just what the Kabal can do, without the X’s white-gloved hypocrisy and the O’s crutch of brutality. It starts with Colombia. It ends with the world.
Arcs
White Arc: Lee, Tarin, WereCat, Luna, Fission, Kai, Sebastian, Nika, Poison These are the people who need to be kept a bit sheltered from the Black Arc’s members and methods, for the time being.
Gray Arc: Slate, Iron Mouth, Slade, Kitra, Circe, Zephyr, Aiden, Tris These are the people who know that the Kabal runs missions on both sides of the light, and can be trusted to speak with discretion when in the company of White Arcs. Subset of the Gray Arc--Inner Circle: Slate, Iron Mouth. These are the only people who know the full extent of the Colombia Plan, in all its methods and missions. Everyone else only knows of their own missions, and has not been told of the overall objective.
Black Arc: Roland, Giant’s Bane, Calley/“Chimera” The people who can do the dirty work without very many qualms, but might not play nice with the White Arcs.
Base Smash! (Giant’s Bane, Tris, Slade, Circe; closed now)
Stronghold Scouting (Iron Mouth, Giant’s Bane, Roland, open to Black and Gray arcs)
Prison Infiltration (Zephyr; solo—PM him if interested)
Rebuilding (open to White and Gray Arcs; Tarin, Lee, Slate, WereCat)
Healers without Borders (Slate and Sebastian, closed)
Those who died (Tarin, Lee, Sebastian, WereCat; PM Tarin if interested [White and Gray Arcs only])
Tentative Timeline

First stage: Roots
Second stage: Shrapnel
Slate pwns the upper echelons of the FARC. Or tries to, anyway.
Raid to capture AUC officers from the discovered base, and possible torture to get ‘em to submit to the mental pwning, and give up the names and locations of their high-ranking friends
Slate volunteers as an intermediary in hostage negotiations between the FARC and the government, and begins graciously shaking hands with government officials-->begins brokering a “deal”
Third stage: Remold
Deal with government starts to be fulfilled, with release of hostages and surrenders of a few top officials in exchange for reduced jail sentences and non-extradition, with pardons for some lower/younger members
Getting all child soldiers back in school (whether they want it or not. *fist shake*)
Rainforest restoration
Rebuilding towns, using drug trade money and manpower, or so help them. Likewise, putting the stopper on hostilities between the AUC and the FARC and teaching them who their new master is. Some examples may need to be made.
Securing supply routes by positioning mind-pwned military and government in convenient ways
Opening the Pax Academy, the school the Kabal funded.
