The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Brawl at the Hole in the Wall (Werecat/Lori/Jacen)
Kitty Cat was fast. Jacen wasn't sure if he would label her as having super speed but she was deffinately at the upper limits of human ability and fast than anyone he had met before.
Kitty Cat was strong. With a grunt of pain he fell backward as she slammed her shoulder into his stomach. He had tensed his muscles in time to keep from completely losing his breath but it was still a forceful blow. They hit the cement and rolled but just as he was beginning to get up a fist came out of nowhere, slamming into his jaw.
Kitty Cat was REALLY fast. His neck muscles had allowed him head to give with the punch so that she hadn't delivered a knockout blow but Jacen was still blinking, trying to clear away the stars and black spots that were trying to cloud his vision. Shaking his head quickly, Jacen scrambled back up to his feet, taking up a defensive stance as he stared down the cat... or least, one of the cats. When did she develop a twin? And they were conjoined at the hip?
“… Don’t call me kitty cat, Sweetums.”
So Miss Kitty Cat had a raw nerve... perfect. Blinking quickly Jacen was relieved as the two cats melded back together into one figure. At least now he had a real target to be facing instead of, whatever else he'd been seeing a few moments before. Slowly moving his jaw back and forth to make sure there was no permanent damage his eyes narrowed slightly, doing their best to ignore the black spots that still swam around at the edge of his vision.
"I thought that kitty cats always landed on their feet." He observed quietly, completely oblivious to the fight that was raging between giant man and electro girl, "You bring shame on your whole species."
Moving forward quickly, or at least quickly for a human, Jacen led with a speedy left jab toward her eye before bringing his right leg around in a powerful roundhouse kick aimed at her side. If she really was as fast as he'd seen a moment before and it wasn't just a fluke then the fight was already over. There was no way he could combat that kind of power but he was sure as hell going to try. Kitty Cat had started it but, if he had anything to say about it, Jacen King was going to finish it!
What goes around suddenly came back around all at once. Lori imagined every bad thing packed into that car. Others called it karma or some such nonsense. Lori didn't believe in karma. Just the strong and the weak. And she sure as sh*t wasn't going to let herself be classified as weak. Though the guy inside the windshield probably regretted the life choices that led him to this moment in time.
She made a magnetic field strong enough that the car should catch in it, though she was seriously running out of gas. The upchuck illicit a constant leakage factor until it was all cooked. For the most part it surpassed cooked and made it into charred territory now. If ever a reason existed for happiness regarding cooked puke, this was it.
Her hands raised up as if she were physically warding off a blow and the SUV flew into her magnetic field. It wobbled elastically as the velocity of the car struggled to overcome the strength of her field. She poured more of herself there knowing that the more energy she used, the less energy she would have for herself.
She felt ill. Her eye was starting to puff up and water uncontrollably. Her ribs made the hand movements slow and painful but they comprised a vital part of her concentration. Without them she was likely to drop the car on herself... and no one wanted that really. Especially the man who was now trying to climb out of the passenger side door.
"What are you doing?" She hadn't noticed that someone was still in the car, nor that the headlights were on until the beams were pointing at her as they were now. She hesitated, arms trembling as she struggled to keep the car as it was until the man stopped dangling. He was throwing off the balance of the vehicle. She couldn't get a proper throw until he let go of the damn door.
She wasn't thinking properly, of course. She could have set the SUV down, though moving the field slowly was probably going to take more energy than she had. Gentle wasn't really an option for her as far as setting the vehicle down went and she sure as hell wasn't going to drop the SUV on herself. She certainly didn't care about the man. "Let GO!"
He was going to kill her. The idiot was to afraid to drop the last few feet to the ground and before he'd get the courage, Lori would run out of juice. The car jolted forward a bit and she raised her shaking hands more. Concentrate. She had to concentrate.

As the SUV flew back in the direction of Jenny who so graciously decided to pair up with Bacchus in the fight as Sara and Jenny’s friend decided to throw down, he noticed a bloke in the vehicle. Not really caring he shrugged it off and said to himself, “Sheila’s fault… she threw it at me…”
Walking closer to Jenny as she seemed to be struggling with the SUV Bacchus called out, “Ohi Sheila, why the serious look on your face?” his arm expanded as it reached out and grabbed a plastic hubcap off of a car. Pulling it back and winding it up Bacchus threw it at the car the Jenny had been focusing on.
The Hubcap thickened and grew right before Bacchus released it. It flew fast and hard right into the SUV’s car door, which knocked it a few feet from the car person and all. “Bloke should have let go…” muttered Bacchus as he felt slightly relived their wouldn’t be any distractions for Lori now, he wanted her undivided attention, she could at least give him that much after leaving him for dead in a burning building. “Now that I got rid of your tiny distraction, let’s have a talk love.” Said Bacchus with a grin on his face, as he got ever closer to the electric blonde.

Sara was caught between two moments. The fist fight with this guy who she didn’t even really know why she was fighting other than the fact that he hit her with an 8 ball and that part of her head hadn’t healed yet. And the SUV seen, with the driver just trying to get out, while the girl she’d been wanting to smack around some more, was struggling with holding the SUV still.
Speaking of the dude… His fist connected solidly with Sara’s cheek bone and eye, and forcing her to make a decision in her distracted state. One that probably cost the driver his life, as Sara’s neck muscles flexed with the jab. Adding to the different pains and aches Sara shouldn’t still be feeling.
Her full attention was snapped right back on him. Realizing as Sara’s eye blinked and worked to refocus that some of the joke was on him. He punched the side of the face that Jenny had thrown Vomit on.
Her good eye saw the round house kick coming, and instead of stepping back, Sara took a step, right back towards him. Her upper body turned so that she was blocking the kick to her side, with her for arms. Showing the speed she’d been lacking when the punch came. Her left arm slid over his right leg, so she was keeping it close to her side, then in a sliding step she slid her leg around the achilles heal of the leg he was still standing on. With her free arm, Sara aimed to ram her elbow into his gut.
“A need to land on ones feet is a need to be entirely too predictable.”
The punch was perfect but as Jacen lashed out with the kick he found himself momentarily distracted. Lily was in trouble and it looked like an innocent bystander was in trouble to. With a sinking heart he realized that if something didn't happen really soon then there were going to be injuries and possibly even a couple of fatalities.
His momentary distraction combined with the feline's speed made for an extremely bad situation. She caught his leg without the slightest hesitation and quickly closed the distance, knocking one leg out from underneath him at the same time she slammed an elbow into his ribs.
“A need to land on ones feet is a need to be entirely too predictable.” The cat's voice had a distinctly smug tone to it as she sent the human down to land heavily on his back. Though a few seconds before Jacen had been torn about what he needed to handle, his mind had suddenly narrowed and focused down to this moment. Emotion and affection had no place in combat and when you faced your enemy there could be no distraction. Jacen's training as a soldier was suddenly back to the forefront of his mind and the cat was the only target that mattered at the moment. Once she was down he could go help his fellow soldiers but not until this enemy was taken care of.
Forcing his lungs to inflate as he ignored the pain that rippled through him with each breath, the man's eyes narrowed down to dangerous slits. Swinging his one free leg in a powerful sweep he moved to knock the feline's legs out from under her. If she kept hold of his leg he would roll with it as she fell and try to get on top of her. If she let go of it he'd roll away, get back to his feet and then try to move in and attack while she was still down. She was the enemy and that meant she had to be taken out. No ifs, and, or buts.
Lori was straining until Brickson came up and ... what? punched the car with a giant hubcap he ripped from the vehicle? It didn't really matter because the force sent the SUV, driver and all, flying out of Lori's magnetic field and flying back toward the parking lot. The car landed on its side, the driver slammed back in through the open door and disappeared from sight.
Lori actually sighed and flopped backward exhausted. Brickson did her a serious favor.
“Bloke should have let go…” He really should have. Lori reached up to touch her fast closing eye. She wasn't about to fight Brickson with what little she had left and so she lay and the ground looking as wounded as she dared let herself feel.
“Now that I got rid of your tiny distraction, let’s have a talk love.”
"What do you want Brickson?" She tapped at the eye testing how puffy it had gotten. The skin was hot and was going to look sick later. If Brickson wanted a fight it was going to be one sided. Somehow Lori doubted he would just walk up and kick her while she was down... if he did. Well, hopefully that would piss Jacen off enough for a little chivalrous revenge on her behalf.

Grinning, as he got closer to her and noticing she was feeling the nice shiner that would surely lessen the effects of her beauty. “What do I want?” he let out a large laugh as he got closer to her and said, “Damn, Sheila you got some stones, leaving me to burn while you make out with the money, didn’t think you’d see me any tie soon did ya?” Bacchus asked as he walked closer to her but swayed towards the curb a little.
Putting his large hand on a car and another on a fire hydrant to make it look like he was crouching to catch his breath. “One thing you need to know about us giants…” Bacchus paused for a second and started to laugh, “We always get even, and right now you have a lot to make up for.” Standing up now Bacchus standing twenty feet tall looked down at her with an evil look in his eyes. She was his prey for now and he would give her what she rightfully deserves.
“I’d say we will be even quite soon,” said Bacchus his voice booming through his mutation Bacchus picked up the fire hydrant, which caused the ground to split and shoot water straight up giving the block a look like it was raining. Reaching down and picking up the water pipe Bacchus pulled it out of the ground and first shot Jenny and then let the pipe shoot off in any direction it pleased. Bacchus didn’t know it but water shot off in the direction towards Sara and her dancing partner.
Walking up to her his rubber water proof construction boots in the water Bacchus didn’t move his gaze from jenny, this was how Bacchus was going to get even. One thing he remembered from the night she left him to burn she jumped out of the shower as soon as a shock was given off which meant that she had water as her weakness. “Think this calls us even…” Bacchus said as the streets flooded.

(Permission given to god mode but I can still edit if asked.)
Sara wasn’t sure what was going on with her healing factor, but the more she was facing off with Jenny’s date, the more she wondered what his powers actually were. Based on their brief exchange, his power definitely wasn’t super human strength. She had topped him there. Same for speed. But at the same time she was starting to feel winded and the muscles in her arms actually started the ach, the more she used them. Not to mention her head.
Her attack was very successful in getting her opponent on the ground. Though he still had fight left in him as she saw his legs sweeping for hers. She had just enough time to tilt her body and tumble, roughly across the black top. Still holding his leg. There was a brief struggle as the two rolled and the man tried getting on top of Sara.
Now if you ever watch two cat’s fight, you should know exactly how painful it can be to pin and try to get on top of another cat. Sara’s right hand moved to the man’s bicep and she tried sinking her claws in to give herself leverage in pushing him up. Her legs twisted and coiled so that her clawed feet pressed against his chest. She was about to kick up when the water hit.
Normal water Sara could deal with but this was super charged water. Water that hurt a lot, not just because of the pressure it hit you with, but the electricity that was so nicely provided by the other blond. Thank you other blond, for this lovely shocking experience. Sara and her should do this again… real soon.
The electricity hit Sara’s body and all the air hissed out of her lunges. Her muscles contracted, and she was pushed sideways by the waters force.
Fighting with a cat was like nothing Jacen had ever experienced. He had faced trained soldiers in combat but he'd never had to fight someone that had the strength, agility, and habbit of a cat. As the claws first began to dig into his bicep the man automatically flexed his muscle, hissing in pain as the sharp points dug into his arm. This was the reason he hated cats dogs were loyal and easy to controle but cats were just to damn independant!
"Bitch!" Jacen swore as the cats feet pressed against his chest, shredding through his shirt and lancing into the skin, "Go back to the pound!" Jumping with as much strength as he could muster, Jacen gritted his teeth against the pain just as a stream of water slammed into the cat and pushed her away from him. Her paws were still flexed convulsively and as he turned away from her he caught a glimps of flesh still gripped tightly in the claws of her hands.
Blood was flowing freely from where the chunks of skin and muscle had been torn from Jacen's arm and the scratches on his chest were bleeding and further damaging his already ruined shirt. It took only a moment for him to take in the situation. Giant boy had decided to quit playing nice and so he had decided to go for the low blow and hit Lily with water. After having seen the slight sparking she got from damp hair Jacen knew that this could easily be deadly for the young woman if he didn't intervene. For the moment Jacen was protected by the rubber soles and leather tops of his shoes but if he didn't act quickly the leather would become soaked or the water would go over the top of his shoes. Speed was of the essence if either of them were to survive the night.
Breaking into a run, Jacen charged the blond woman, momentarily ignoring the giant as he focused on trying to save his... whatever. "What is she to me?" The thought suddenly slammed into his mind out of the blue as his feet pounded into the water, splashing it up onto his chest and pants, "An aquaintance? Friend? Lover? What?" Right then he felt the first bits of electricity slam into his body as the water finally found entrance through his shoes and onto his bare skin. Stiffening immediately all of Jacen's muscles locked and fell forward, unintentionally diving and closing the distance to Lily. As his muscles contracted from the electricity Jacen discovered that thinking was really over rated.
Brickson was a lying cheating sneaky sack of... Well, one good thing she could say about getting hosed down by a jerk was that he would no longer hold the money against her. The cooked on vomit would loosen and she might even possibly come out clean-ish in her short, white dress.
The down sides were quite obvious.
Whatever she had been expecting from Brickson, that was not one of her hypothetical options. She lay down and let herself look weak... so why did it surprise her when he actually made her so. She didn't even have time to give Brickson wide and betrayed eyes, she was too busy getting hosed down.
Electricity flowed across her skin and through the water that rushed past her and toward Sara and Jacen. Blue arches spidered across herself and the water, the sparking strong at first and fast waning. Her body writhed as if it caused her pain. She felt no pain, not in the traditional way people react to electricity anyway. Lori only felt the seeping loss of control of her power. She didn't have a lot of juice left to her at this moment and now it was washing away.
Drifting away.
Draining away.
Her eyes were wide open to to the sky above, unblinking like a cadaver's. Lily heard a wet thump some feet behind her and realized that she was no longer leaking power. Jacen. Her chest heaved a sudden first gasp of air after unintentionally holding her breath. She was going to have to get him a muffin basket or something.
She relaxed her muscles slowly and came to her elbows in the sloppy front lot of the bar. Brickson deserved great pain for this night and as much as it killed her to run away licking her wounds, all she wanted was to curl up in a pile of Jacen and feel safe again. Lily pulled off her high heels, her last projectile defense, and made her way on hands and knees toward her fallen hero.
"You okay in there?" Her voice came hoarse and honestly she could care less about what the others were planning at this point. She jabbed carefully at Jacen. If they permanently damaged him... if that cat had ruined her toy... Lily's good eye closed and she forced herself to calm somewhat. Another day... revenge would have to come another day. For now, tactical retreat. "You know, I think we've overstayed our welcome here." She would cover them with the only weapon left to her: high heels. Those would hurt when thrown, right?

The dead was done, Jenny and her boy toy were out of it well the boy toy was, Jenny however seemed to be able to move still if only a little, she looked weak and pitiful really, she looked like a weak and defenseless child. Walking past her and her friend Bacchus made his way to the SUV, which was tipped on its side. Making his hands larger as well as his feet Bacchus flipped the car right side up and got in the drivers side of the car.
Starting the car up Bacchus drove it next to Jenny and her friend who was looking like he was having a bad day. Throwing the SUV in park Bacchus got out of the car and felt the effects of Jenny’s bloke on him. “Think it’s right time we get you out of here…” Bacchus said as calmly as he could. As Bacchus was inches away from them he felt his powers dissipate completely, defiantly a feeling he didn’t like. On the plus side Bacchus felt a sharp pain where the car hit him from before and a cheerful mile came over his face. Pain was a feeling he didn’t get enough of being ‘indestructible’ as he called it didn’t give him many opportunities to feel much.
Knowing full well that Jenny wouldn’t be to thrilled about this Bacchus dodged the first shoe she threw at him but was hit in the chest with the second, “Really?” Bacchus asked as he grabbed her by the hands and dragged her a few feet from the car and tossed her in the back seat after opening the door, “Sorry Sheila, I say were square now and me being me won’t let you two pass out in the middle of the street as you are now, guarantee the cops will be here soon think if anything I’m doing you guys a favor…”
Walking back a few feet Bacchus let out a grunt as he grabbed the boy toy and started to drag him to the SUV, “Sorry mate got nothing against you sorry you had to get into this big mess…” letting out another loud grunt Bacchus tossed him in the back seat next to jenny, “There quite your squabbling…” Bacchus got back in the car and slammed the back seat door as he walked to the front seat which was missing the door, “Now for the last one…”
Driving the car over to Sara Bacchus got out the car again and picked her up and dragged her to the car ad tossed her in the passengers seat as he ran back around into the drivers seat, “Sorry bout this Sheila” Bacchus said to Sara. Looking out through his door less side Bacchus let out a small laugh, “Kinda made a mess here…”
Throwing the car in drive Bacchus took off and turned down an alley way just as some police cars were coming into view, turning on the next street Bacchus drove as casual as possible considering his driver door was missing and a giant hand mark dented the SUV and the car was all scratched up. “I’m going to drop you two love birds off somewhere safe…” he looked to Sara and said, “I’ll figure somewhere to drop you off while I get rid of the car later on…”

The funny thing about electricity is you don’t know exactly what your doing at the time. You’re aware of the pain of the electrical current ripping through your body, but all your muscles tighten and your body contorts. The first shock came on heavy and rather than staying the same, it got worst because no healing factor means one cooked kitty.
The water shoved Sara out of the man’s field of anti mutation evilness and it was like watching a rag doll go skidding across the side walk. The currents of electricity died away slowly, and all Sara could do was lay there, and breath, and be wet. Every muscle in her body felt like someone had given her one giant hurts donut.
Then slowly, the ache was dieing away. Sara’s breaths came in easier and quieter, and she turned her head, with her hair draping in the puddle of water that surrounded her, so that she could look at the other three. Her opponent had dropped to the ground as well and Sara felt some satisfaction. She let out a weak chuckle as the vomit splashing girl crawled over to her man and held a shoe, as if that was about to help. Then there was an odd thing. Bacchus, who Sara decided was entirely too smug with himself for the pain he’d just put her through, approached the other two, and shrunk.
Sara’s head tried to tilt, and instantly she winced. Pain was still in her muscles, even if they were trying to recover. Sirens sounded in the distance, and Sara felt new adrenalin hit her system urging her to get up. She rocked herself up onto one elbow, then started trying to get her arms and legs to cooperate as they finished healing, and that’s about the time Bacchus had come and dragged her to the car. She was getting better when she didn’t feel her healing factor going again. She had enough in her to slide in the seat and consider putting on a seat belt.
“Sorry bout this Sheila. Kinda made a mess here…”
“Nawwww…. Ya think?” Sara yelled back. “What’s wrong with you anyways. You knew her abilities,” Sara waved her arm to the back seat where the shoe wielder sat and Sara kept her in her peripheral vision. “but you still decide to soak the street with shocky. I’M BARE FOOT OUT THERE! Seriously. What the Hell?”
It was a strange feeling as Jacen hovered somewhere between unconsciousness and full consciousness. The electricity combined with his other injuries had really done a number on him but it hadn't completely knocked him out. In fact, if he had been capable of coherent thought right at that moment he would have been wishing that he was unconscious so he wouldn't have to be feeling the pain that coursed through his body.
As he lay flopped in one of the rear passenger seats Jacen could feel himself beginning to once again regain control of his body. He could hear the giant and the cat talking back and forth but it was more like an annoying background buzz than anything he should actually pay attention to.
"...two love birds ... safe..."
The blood continued to ooze down over his chest as well as his right arm from where Miss Kitty's claws had done their work. On the upside the electricity in the water had combined with his body's natural clotting to mostly seal off the wounds. Sure he was bleeding but he wasn't going to bleed to death.
"...soak ... shocky..."
So, apparently it was the feline's idea to use the water again Lily. Jacen should have figured that out sooner. Cats were notorious masterminds and it only made sense that Miss Kitty woudl be the one in charge of this little operation. In fact she'd probably set it up from the beginning. A little bit of ipecac could have caused Brickson's vomiting and then the cat immediately stepped in to egg things on by asking for her ball back. That had to be it. The cat was the mastermind!
Flexing his muscles ever so slightly Jacen inwardly winced against the pain. After the electric shock they were still extremely stiff and more than likely they even had some internal burns on them. It was going to take time to heal but if Jacen could find an opportunity to escape he would fight through the pain in order to rescue Lily from their captors. Even injured Jacen was still a hero at heart. Cracking his eyes open the S.W.A.T. officer located Lily's hand and then with supreme effort reached over to grab a hold of it and give it a quick squeeze. He didn't trust his voice but he could still communicate in some fashion.
Brickson was coming closer. She knew he was going to do something she wouldn't like. What? She wasn't sure, but it was Brickson. What had he done that she had specifically enjoyed? She threw the shoes. The first flew wide and the second slammed home... and bounced off like a gnat. Lori sat back on her haunches stunned. She didn't have anything left. She was so utterly screwed.
He grabbed her wrists and picked her up like so much meat. She had her eyes closed tight. She didn't want to be looking at Jacen when Brickson took her out of his range. Because Brickson didn't know what kind of delicate situation he had created when he ripped open that firehydrant.
A small spark arched from Lori to Brickson, the last "expendable" amount of her current before her body shut down to conserve energy. By the time she hit the seats, Lori was out cold. She wouldn't spark anymore. She wouldn't open her eyes. She wouldn't feel Jacen's hand reassuring her that it would be alright. Lori was in stasis.

The car was handling like crap as Bacchus turned it on another side street. His destination was the hospital and after feeling that small spark from Jenny he was sure she wouldn’t be conscious that much longer. Looking back in the mirror Bacchus noticed the two in the back seat, as they both seemed out of it, at least the bloke was moving. “Were almost there you two…” Bacchus said as he shot through an alleyway. He personally didn’t mind if the two in back were out of it but if they both died that would be upsetting for him. Maybe not Jenny as much but the bloke happened to be in the wrong place with the wrong girl, for all he knew he was an upstanding good guy.
Shrugging as he sped through another alleyway Bacchus looked to Sara and said, “Right well from out past experience I figured you’d bounce back faster than that.” He started to laugh and said, “Told you she crossed me, not something you want to do when your business partner is a Giant, just bad business.” Looking back to Sara Bacchus said, ”Maybe you should start wearing shoes… not my fault you didn’t have any on.”
Making a sharp turn Bacchus felt the SUV tip slightly as he leaned in the opposite direction hoping his body weight would balance the tilting car out. Grinning and feeling an adrenaline rush Bacchus made another sharp turn and enter the long drive of the NYC hospital. “Sheila hop in the back, were gonna drop them off at the entrance, and I don’t feel like getting out and explaining everything so when I stop the car toss them out…”
As the beat up car approached the drop off for the emergency location Bacchus yelled, “Now! Toss ‘em!”
