The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

The moments passed in Alexandra's mind as if someone clicked fast forward. Maybe a little too fast for her liking. The stupid Danger Room was supposed to keep her from being captured. At some moment, the thought if this was her training session or theirs passed trough her mind but she shoved it away as she watched Shin closing on her. She put more force into sprinting hoping she wasn't to late as she watched Shin reaching out for her flags and her hand. Her hand waved, making the metal rise at Shin's feet. She hoped she done the right math and he wouldn't jump above it. Seconds later, she turned around. A mistake that she wouldn't do on a normal 'battlefield'. If she managed to trip Shin, that would be just perfect. If she didn't, then she was closer to being captured than she wished. But either way, it would prove what she wanted: just how 'inexperienced' she was. Before seeing Shin she heard Sam telling her to think quickly. She saw him closing on her as well and snorted then her eyes looked for Shin.

To trip or to leap; That seemed to be Circe’s twofold plan for Shin. As the steel rose, blocking his direct path towards her, there seemed to only be two options, right?
Wrong. He just went around it. Sure, it was a bit more running, but as he skittered to the left, out of the path of whatever Sam had warned him about, he saw her turn her back and a whole new possibility opened up. Ducking under a swinging metal arm, Shin dove forwards, running on all-fours for one brief moment, then rising back to his feet and leaping over a rise in the floor. Two steps, then his legs kicked out into a baseball slide toward’s Circe’s feet. He’d take them out from under her as delicately as he could, or cause her to move out of the way. Sam would just have to dart in on her reaction from there.
And then again, Shin just decided to go around the metal Circe raised from the ground. She never got the chance to turn around completely and run because Shin kicked her legs from under her. She felt the gravity pull her toward the Earth and she expected to hit the metal floor with her back soon. Strangely, it never happened. Instead, she felt something kicking the back of her head. The Danger Room quickly faded away from her vision, being replaced by darkness. She gasped for air, just in about the same time when she felt her body falling into something...wet? The burning sensation in her lungs was the last thing her body registered.

Shin was closing in on her he was sliding now and it looked like he would get something that left it up to Sam to get the rest and from the way things were going it would become a possibility. His hand outstretched as he was running foreword he quickly pulled his hand back as a large spire shot out of the ground in front of him. Running a little more then leaping Sa placed his hand, which was covered in a thick ice and took the hit of the tip of the spire as Sam turned over and landed on his slide as he slid down the smooth metallic spire to where Al and Shin were.
Noticing the metallic moving about Sam was rather impressed with Alexandra’s abilities, she was defiantly gifted whether she acknowledged it or not. Sliding more and more Sam slowed to a stop, as Shin was about to win the game of keep away.
“SHIT!” Sam called out as he got to his feet when Al’s legs were kicked from under her by accident. Sam saw the head hit and then the fall down the pit. With out a second thought Sam was following her right down that hole. He wasn’t sure what it was filed with but he was confident it wasn’t lethal.
Smacking against the water Sam looked around to see if he could find Alexandra with no luck, “AL!!!!” Sam called out as he took a deep gasp of air and dove down under water. The water was lit with a dim flood light under the water, which made the small fading image of Alexandra’s body visible. Sam dove down grabbed her under the arms and swam to the surface. “Computer simulation over!”
It took a few seconds but him and Al’s body was lifted up as they were now on the main floor of the Danger Room. Looking around the Danger room returned too normal as he and Al were soaking wet. Placing Al down on the flat surface Sam placed his ear on her chest to see if he could hear a heartbeat, nothing noticeable not as it should be, odds were she swallowed more water than she should have. “Shin check her pulse! And then push on her diaphragm when I tell you to!” Sam yelled as he put his ear to her mouth and heard nothing, “Shit she isn’t breathing,” placing his mouth to hers Sam held her nose shut and breathed into her mouth and pushed the air down her mouth then pulled away, “Three times!”
Sam put his mouth back on Alexandra’ right after he said, “Shit don’t die. Come on!”

“!!!” Shin rushed to follow orders, checking the pulse and pressing when and where Sam told him to. He looked at Alexandra with worry, hoping she’d be alright. He’d feel just awful if his baseball slide had caused something horrible to happen. Pressing his hands against her diaphragm, be began the CPR process.
Press, one two three, Sam breathed into her mouth. Press, one two three. His mind traveled back to the simulation. She had promise. Press, one two three. And she was able to hold her own against him and Sam for a while. Press, one two three. Shin gulped.
“Cmon, breathe!” He pressed down one final time. Now or never...
She didn't know how much time had passed since she was in the darkness. But now, reality seemed to come back to her. She heard the faint echoes of some voices but couldn't make out what they were saying. She could feel someone's pushing on her chest. She could feel the relatively warm flesh on her lips. And she opened her eyes, in about the same time Sam was raising his head. She coughed, her head automatically turning to the sides as she spit the water out. Now, that sucked. That was not part of her plan. Her throat felt horrible. A terrible headache just seemed to cut trough her head. She coughed once again, hoping that would make her sore throat feel better. Her head turned back, first thing she saw: Sam's horrified expression. She tried to laugh, but couldn't do to much. "My hero, huh?" she asked with a wink. She wondered why their terrified expressions were still in place. She was fine now. She looked over to Shin and smiled. "And the sidekick?" She got up, her moves a bit unsure as she rubbed the back of her head. "Ouch!" she removed the offending hand and now she felt... wet. Drops of water... cold water, she might have added, were dripping from her hair on her back, sending shivers down her spine. "I'm-" her eyes glanced up at Sam as well, his condition the same as hers, although he looked quite sexy with all that water running down his face. She wasn't sure how she looked but didn't quite cared right now. "We're wet." she finally spoke.

Noting the wink but ignoring it Sam said, “Gave us a scare there,” Sam smiled at her and sat down backwards taking a deep breath in relief, ‘thank god she was alright’ thought Sam as he looked to Shin and reached out for a low five, “Think we need to teach CPR to the students,” Sam joked as he wiped some of the water from his face, “Don’t et up yet,” Sam said as he tried to force Alexandra back down, “Your going to stand up then topple over, lack of oxygen to the body and all…”
Sam iced over his hand and said, “Move your hand Al,” he placed his hand of ice to her head where her hand was, “It’s going to get cold but it will keep the swelling from getting bad.” Grinning now he looked to her and said, “Yeah were wet, you took a nasty fall into the hole after clunking your head, on the ground, long story short we did CPR,” again reaching over and patting Shin on the side he said, “Good job Shin.”
Looking back to Al he asked, “You feeling okay?” Sam asked, “If you want we can have docprof check you out, he will have you as good as knew in a matter of minutes.”

Thank goodness. “Yeah, he’s a miracle worker, that docprof. Helped me out when I got injured on my very first danger room session. It happens a lot, actually. Makes one wonder whether we should be playing with live ammunition or holograms at all… but eh. At least it isn’t like we’re using live fire…” Shin paused, losing his train of thought. He found it quick enough, though. “But thank goodness you’re alright… I’m sorry. I thought you’d jump out of the way when I did that, or at the very least trip so I could catch you…” Shin’s face sunk. “Sorry. But that’s over now. You did well in the sessions. We don’t have to test you any more.” He looked to Sam. They’d learned far more than enough.
“Welcome… to mutant manor…” He smiled weakly, hoping this wouldn’t be how they welcomed every person that came to the front door.
The ice in the back of her head began to soothe the pain quickly enough. She smiled at Sam and Shin. “I’m fine, now, really. No need for doctors.” 8 months in the Mondragon Labs infirmary was enough, thank you. She wasn’t planning to visit it again for a very long period of time. Her eyes focused on Shin. “Don’t worry Shin. It wasn’t your fault. I should have been more careful.” she assured him. And again, she felt wet and cold. And it was starting to bug her. She closed her eyes for a second then opened them, her usual chocolate brown color changed to an electric blue. Using her powers while having a headache wasn’t doing great for her head but Sam’s ice was preventing the pain from getting worse. And she wasn’t going to walk all the way to her room in that condition. She focused on the water molecules sticking on her body and started to gather them into a small blob of water, leaving her body, hair and clothes dry. She turned her eyes to Sam, doing the same thing. The blob of floating water turned to vapors with a wave of her hand. Her eyes changed color again as she looked at Shin with a smirk. “I hope that’s not how you greet your students every time.” she joked as she tried to stand up to her feet. Without success. Maybe she should have listened to Sam and stay down a bit longer.

Going from wet to dry Sam grinned to Circe and said, “Think we got an idea on what you can do, and thanks for that. ”He stood up and reached down a hand to Alexandra to help lift her up. Looking to Shin he smiled and said, “Accidents happen, just glad that ones like this don’t happen often.” He looked around and said, “Right well if there are anymore questions you know where my office is and I’ll swing by your room to see how you settled in and see if you need anything.”
Looking to Shin he said, “Shin, if you wouldn’t mind coming back to my office after this, I have an offer I think you wouldn’t like to pass up.” Turning to Alexandra he grinned and gave a small wink, ”Hope you enjoy your stay here…” Sam turned around and headed back to his office.

“Offer?” What could Sam possibly have to offer him? Uncertainty bubbling up on Shin’s face, he turned to look at Circe. “Alright. I’ll be there in a bit. I’m just going to help Alex back to her room… you look a little wobbly there… unless you insist you don’t need help.” He winked. “In which case, I’d insist otherwise. I kinda feel like it’s my duty to help you, since I got you into the water in the first place, accidents or not.”
Circe smiled, told him it wasn’t his fault, and accepted the invitation. The two left the danger room for the hall. Stopping in front of the door to her room, Shin bid his good byes.
“See you around,” he added, turning and walking down the hall.
Alexandra nodded to Shin as she opened the door. Running a hand trough her hair, she looked around her new room. "Mhmmm... Nice." she said to herself, shutting the door behind her. The large bed was quite appealing after the unwanted and clearly unneeded swim she took in the Danger Room. Now all she had to t was to retrieve her luggage from Sam's office. She frowned as she remembered the huge amount of bags she had and the long way from Sam's office to her room. She was going to ask one of the guys carry the bags around for her, though. Letting herself to fall on the bed, she closed her eyes. She was now officially a spy in the mansion.
