The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

"No, we're not enemies exactly," Geo rubbed the back of his head at his lie then switched to the easier subject. "Actually my sister was the only one in my family who didn't hate me for who i am. Her and I get along extremely well. My mother was the same as my father but more absent then cruel. Other then that I didn't know most of my family." He then shifted his feet and grazed his foot against Arielle's before tucking them underneath him again. "So who's this guy who's keeping you and I from...getting to know each other better?"
"Why are you so interested in knowing?" Arielle asked, setting her elbow on the table and a hand to her cheek. "If you must know, he is the love of my life and everything I could ever ask for in a man. We've only been together 4 weeks, but I love him dearly..." she sighed clutching the silver chain around her neck Aiden had gave her before their flight to Paris.
"Which is why I shouldn't have led you on like that. I got caught up in the game. I'm attached now, but it's good to know that I still have it and that I am an desired woman. Aren't I? Hm?" she raised her foot and nudged Geo's nether region with her heel.
"It kinda sucks not being single anymore, but on the other hand, I have someone who loves me just as much as I love him."she smiled withdrawing her foot back to her side of the table.
A sly grin formed on Geo's face as Arielle decided to get involved with some foot play. After she withdrew her foot Geo lifted his leg and rubbed the side of her calf with his. "You know being with someone doesn't mean you can't have fun, I mean if there's no love involved then it doesn't really qualify as cheating," The waitress returned with the two's drinks and then getting the gist of the conversation walked away again. "Besides, four weeks isn't quite enough to judge who a person really is. And why should that keep two generally flirtatious people from...enjoying themselves." He then withdrew his leg and crossed his arms above the table.
"In some cultures...fun on the side is actually encouraged, they say it actually strengthens the actual strengthens the relationship." Geo thought over the argument and agreed with himself, he had actually used the theory several times before.
"Does that line actually work to get you laid with taken girls? Because I have to call bull sh-" she paused to take a sip of her water. Coughing lightly she continued.
"Maybe in other cultures they do that, but I really don't believe that's the right thing to do. Messing around with another person behind your significant others back? It's just not right. And who are you to tell me I don't know my own boyfriend after 4 weeks? I know whats in my heart Geo and no matter how much game you spit out to try and unloosen my jeans, it's not happening. I'm sorry. Since there is love involved, it would be cheating."
Geo took a blow to the ego, but also respected Arielle's point. "Ok, ok, touche. I respect your reasoning and in my defence I had never tried to use that before." He said with a light chuckle.
"And what's all this talk of getting into people's pants, I thought we were just talking about a friendship over here," He joked, a playful look on his face as he took a sip of his drink, "...perv." He continued to joke adding a wink at the end to show he was kidding.
"I can't argue with you there. I did spend the first few minutes we met imagining you without clothes," Arielle shrugged in a defeated manner. "I may be faithful, but I still get a little curious. Ah well, somethings are best left a mystery anyway," the girl said. Finishing her response the waitress had returned with a notepad and pen in hand ready to take their orders.
"I'm gonna just gonna go with the 2 scrambled eggs, with bacon and toast. Can I get cheese on my eggs as well? Thank you." she smiled.
"Well don't worry, your not the only one who does that when they first meet me," He joked, a light chuckle in his throat. "And you never know how things will turn out so don't disregard your imagination just yet. Besides, to be honest I was doing the same thing." He said looking over the visible amount of her body before glancing over to the waitress. "Just bring me a burrito as usual, thanks."
He then turned back to Arielle and continued his questioning, "So your living in the mansion now huh, who all do you know, maybe I'll remember a few of them."
"Right....I have a good idea how things will turn out..." she smiled as a dopey grin came across her face. Arielle found herself in a little day dream with her dressed in an elegant wedding gown and her father walking her down the aisle to give away to Aiden while Geo sat at the entrance of the chapel sobbing for all his chances with her were completely buried.
"AHAHAHAHA," she laughed out loud and then blushed embarrassed by the looks from the few other people in the diner. "Um, yeah anyways, I know a few people at the mansion. Sam, Nathan, Raina, Shawn, Maya...and Leila..."
Geo raised his eyebrow in question of the unspoken joke that seemed to make Arielle laugh hysterically. She named off a list of people from the mansion, unfortunately none of then code names which he had a better time remembering. "I think I may have met Leila once...car trouble, she needed a cheap mechanic."
"Ah yeah. Leila is super cool. Though I still can't help but think she still harbors a bit of aggression towards me. Funny story. My day here, I was attempting to pick up Sam, or Cold Steel rather and I had no idea they were dating. It was just a misunderstanding now though, but now we're really good friends. Haven't seen her around the mansion much lately. It's like she's goes off somewhere else to spend all her time now."
Geo's features froze at the name 'Cold Steel'. He was someone he had encountered a few times and considered him a nemesis. Not to mention he didn't know that Leila was dating him, this certainly made things interesting, he'd be sure to bring this up to Leila next time he saw her. "Yeah trust me I know how that works out, like I'm pretty sure your boyfriend wouldn't be happy with a few of the things I've said to you today,
"And you can't expect people to stay around all the time, people need freedom." Geo tried to soften up his features, still frozen by the name.
"Yeah, I'm pretty sure Aiden would transform and tear your throat out if he heard everything you said to me, but you're not completely in the wrong. I take some blame for leading you on. Twas fun." she giggled.
"And I wasn't saying that her recent lack of appearances at the mansion was wrong. Trust me, I have to get out and have some freedom myself. Had I not done that this morning, I wouldn't have met you. So freedom is definitely a good thing," Arielle responded.
"Ah ha! So you agree that meeting me was a good thing. I must admit, it's kind of relieving to meet someone who can play just as well as I can, if your ever single I think we'd have alot of fun." He finished his sentence just as the waitress appeared with they're food. Geo thanked the waitress but didn't touch his food quite yet.
"Now let me ask you this, would you be apposed to say going to catch a movie with a...close friend, if there were no arterial motives behind it?"
"How can we be lose friends? We've only know each other for...less than an hour..." Arielle laughed. "Sounds to me like you're attempting to trick me out on a date. Then when we're in the dark, you'll try something like wrapping your arm around me and it just goes on from there, am I right? I won't fall for it..." she said taking a bite of her cheese eggs.
"It's not completely out the question though. There's just the matter of the flirting and the fact that I don't think our allies would be fond of us hanging out together."
"That's what I'm saying though, I think we have the potential for a great friendship. You have my word that I won't try anything without you consent first of course." Geo took a bite of his burrito, a rather ridicules order for the early hour but it was what he liked. He chewed and swallowed his bite before speaking again.
"I think that we can both agree on the fact that our allies have no business in our personal life. If I want to hang out with an X-man then the O-....People at the Sanctuary can deal with it. One of my best friends lives at the mansion and I make a point to hang out with her now and again."
